Love Gets in The Way

The Next Day…

"I do like Auradon, I don't get why you hate it so much," Isa said to Beca,

"I don't hate it, I just… don't love it, as much as you do"

Beca didn't understand her friends, why did they love Auradon so much, she noticed how everyone looked at them and she could hear some of the mean comments. Beca hated all Auradon, except for one thing… Chloe.

Beca seemed to have interest in Chloe; but who wouldn't she had those beautiful blue eyes, and that gorgeous smile, and that rose red hair. Beca wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even to Isa, but she was starting to fall for that redhead.

Isa, Stacie, and Derek had notice something weird on Beca, but they couldn't tell what it was. The time Beca had spent with the redhead princess wasn't extensive, but with what she could see, she could tell the princess was different from everyone else in Auradon.

Beca, Isa, Stacie, and Derek were getting ready to perform, they were very confident in what they had prepared, but they were no strangers to nerves. They had never performed in public, and they were going to perform in front of the princesses. Beca and Stacie were about to put the potion on a water Isa was drinking, "Hey guys! Ready to perform?" Emily exclaimed loudly.

Beca and Stacie jumped in surprised, Beca nodded, she nudge Stacie forward "Yeah! Yeah… why are you back here, Emily?" Stacie asked, still shaken up.

"Oh! I'm performing, I'm supposed to start, as a 'guide' performer for the people that don't know acapella" she smiled brightly

"That's fun! Um… break a leg? I heard someone say that" Stacie said, trying to lighten up the mood.

"Thanks! I will see you soon, you'll be great" Stacie blushed in response, as the young princess left.

"Damn, you like the little princess"

Stacie mocked a laugh "Shut up, Mitchell, get the damn potion"

Derek noticed what Beca and Stacie were doing, so he asked them what they were planning. Beca sighed and told him the plan, ideally they wanted Isa to fall in love with Emma, then make Emma fall in love with her, and then at the coronation they would be able to steal the wand from the Fairy Godmother's hands. Derek felt a little bit offended that he didn't knew the plan, but Beca explained it was better, with less people knowing, everything could go according to plan.

When audition time rolled around they were all ready, Isa was going to go first. "Hey Isa drink some water it helps with the nerves" Stacie said, Isa smiled and took the water from Stacie. Beca who was hiding saw Isa drinking the water; she felt guilty but she needed to do it for her father.

Beca covered her eyes before she could go onstage, she had to see Emma first, "Becs, what are you doing? Stop it!" Isa said, Beca pushed her to the stage. Isa saw Emma first, which meant the spell was going to work… hopefully.

Isa sang Just a Dream by Nellie, when she was done everyone clapped. "That was beautiful, thank you Isa" Emma said, Isa smiled and winked at her which made Emma blush.

They needed to know if the spell had worked, so they followed Isa after they were all finished performing. Once out of the building they noticed Emma was fighting with someone, "Leave me alone we are over" Emma said to the guy,

"Come on, stop being a bitch!" the guy responded.

Beca noticed Isa walking over there, fists tighten, ready to fight that guy. Stacie noticed that her eyes were different and that she had a weird mark on her neck, Beca noticed that too, but she knew Isa for a long time. The mark and the eyes were something that usually happened when she got very angry. Her eyes turn goldish brown and the mark that appears has the form of a paw. Beca believed it had to do with Isa's origins, she was born a lion, but she didn't know just yet.

Stacie and Beca knew it could get ugly, so they tried to stop Isa, but she just brushed them off, her eyes were locked in the guy. Before the guy could notice her, she got in front of Emma and pushed the guy off of her, "You're going to regret that"

The guy stared at her, he laughed loudly, "You're one of the villain kids, aren't you?" He looked at her, and then at Emma, "So, she's why you want to break up? Wake up, Emma, she is a villain in time she will destroy everything for her own pleasure" Emma looked away in fear, that just fueled Isa's Anger, "Move, freak! I'm talking to my girlfriend"

Isa have had enough of him, "I'm going to enjoy this" she grabbed him by his neck and he pushed him to a tree, "She doesn't look like she wants you around, but we can ask her, do you want him around you?" Emma looked surprised but she whispered a 'no', "There you go, now look at me closely"

They made eye contact and her eyes turned red "She's not yours, and if I ever see you around her again, making her uncomfortable, you'll pay" The guy looked very afraid but Isa wouldn't let him go, "I know she can defend herself, but I'll go out of my way to tear every limb from your body if you bother her again"

He looked like he was about to stop breathing, so Isa threw him down, "Did I make myself clear?" he just nodded in response and he ran away.

Emma that was behind Isa asked, "Why did you do that?"

Isa smiled softly and said, "He looks like a dumb jerk, and I didn't want any dumb jerk bothering you"

Emma had broken up with the guy a long time ago, but he went out of his way to bother her every time he could, "He bothers me all the time, so I appreciate you helping me out"

Isa sighed in relieve "Oh, I though he actually was your boyfriend"

Emma laughed lightly "No, I feel like I have better taste now" she said, eyeing Isa up and down. Isa felt a blush creeping, but she managed to control herself. Suddenly something felt different, something in Isa felt wrong.

From afar, Beca and Stacie watched in amusement, the potion had worked, now they just had to wait.

Isa and Emma left, leaving Beca and Stacie to their own devices. "So what should we go today?" Stacie asked

Chloe appeared from behind the building, scaring Beca and Stacie in the process "Hey guys! Those were some great auditions. I wanted to come here to invite you to a party, we are celebrating the auditions"

"What's with you, princesses, sneaking up on people" Stacie muttered under her breath.

Beca snickered in response, then she turned to Chloe "That sounds… interesting, we'll go, but I would like to ask you to get a coffee with me"

Chloe looked taken aback for a moment, but then she smiled brightly again "That sounds great! Wait here for me, I'll be right back" She ran back to get her things.

Beca and Stacie looked at each other and then they smirked, "Oh you like the little mermaid" Stacie said in a mocking tone.

Beca rolled her eyes, "She's gorgeous, I want to keep on getting to know her"

"Sure, just be careful, Becs. I'll go back to the dorm to get ready, see you at the party" Isa nodded in response.

"See you later" Stacie left and Chloe came back a couple of minutes later

Beca and Chloe headed together to a coffee nearby. When they got to the coffee shop they got a table. Beca ordered a black coffee and Chloe got a white chocolate Frappuccino, "Beca, your audition was incredible, I didn't know you could play a guitar"

Beca blushed a little and said "Yeah, in the Isle of the Lost there wasn't a lot to do sometimes, so I decided to use my spare time to learn an instrument. I adore music, my dad enjoys my singing as well" Chloe nodded. Their conversation got longer and longer, as they kept on talking and getting to know each other. They didn't notice how fast time had passed, and now they had a party to attend.
