Chapter 2: The First Ship (Ron x Hermione)

A term to know before reading:

Ship - A pairing between two or more people that could either be real, happened before, going to happen soon, or be completely made up. "Relationship"

Some directions:

Whenever a person is mentioned in a ship, they will be given their introduction before the ship is talked about. This will only happen the first time someone is mentioned in a ship. For example, if person A and person B were shipped together, they would both get their introduction, but if person A and person C were later shipped, only person C would get an introduction, as they have never been shipped with someone else before.

After the chapter with the ship is finished, the people in the relationship must say whether or not the ship is real, happened once, or is made up.

Some people let out groans when they heard this. It was bad enough that it seemed the professors as well as their classmates had to hear about their relationships, but for them to have to talk about that relationship? It's just going to be embarrassing. Especially if it was a past relationship…

Please state any thoughts you have about these chapters. I already know for a fact what is real and what isn't, but I would like all of you at Hogwarts to figure it out for yourselves.

Tomorrow when you resume the reading on Chapter 4, please have the following people join you: - - - (THIS WILL BE REVEALED AFTER THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS ARE READ)

Onto the chapters…

Chapter 1: A Bookworm and a Weasley

"Weasley? Is this a relationship that includes me? Or Ginny?" Ron was shocked, to say the least, his family was always just known as the "Blood Traitors" and nothing else, so most purebloods avoided talking about them together. To be in the first chapter of a book from Lady Hecate, well that was just an honor that his family would be proud to bear. But on the other hand… this book was just gossip that would go around Hogwarts anyways. (No offense Lady Hecate!)

The first ship is between Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

This caused the mentioned two to blush even redder than Ron's hair. Cheers were heard from the rest of the Gryffindor table, especially Harry and the rest of the duo's friends who were getting tired of their obliviousness.

Hermione Granger:

Hermione is often seen with her two best friends; Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. This group of friends is called the "Golden Trio" by the rest of the school. Hermione is the brains of the group. She always knows the facts and research needed to bring the group to success.

Hermione looked at Ron and Harry to see if they agreed with what the book said, and they both just smiled at her and put their arms around each other's backs to show just how much they appreciate and love each other. (Maybe not all platonically…)

Hermione came from a muggle family, but don't underestimate her. She has made her way to the top of almost every one of her classes and is the top student of her year. Her parents were both dentists and often pushed her to do her best, which is where her competitive nature and smarts come from.

Hermione smiled as she heard that her parents were mentioned. She has always thought she never gave them enough credit for all that they did for her as a child, especially for accepting her as a witch and still encouraging her and treating her the same as they did before.

"Dentists?" A pureblood from the Hufflepuff group asked, not sure what Dentists were. "Dentists are a type of Doctor that operate on your teeth and keep your teeth healthy," Hermione explained, happy to be able to teach and inform a pureblood about muggles more.

The Hufflepuff student looked thoughtful as they turned back to their friend group, whispering something to them that the rest of the group seemingly agreed with before turning back towards the front of the Great Hall.

[A YOUNG HERMIONE IS SITTING IN BETWEEN HER PARENTS, ALL THREE ARE SMILING WITH A BIRTHDAY CAKE IN FRONT OF HERMIONE.]

"Aww! Little Hermione was so cute!" A second-year Ravenclaw squealed from her seat once she saw the picture that appeared above the book. "I remember that photo, it was of my third or fourth birthday, my parents framed it and put it on our mantle in the living room," Hermione explained, once again thinking about her home life and her parents, now realizing how much she missed them.

"Hey Hermione, do you think you and Ron would put up a photo of your children on their birthdays once you guys get married and have kids?" Harry asked in a whispered voice to the duo, who once again blushed red like a tomato.

Hermione is very selfless, kind, and stubborn in keeping her loved ones safe. She even went so far as to wipe herself from her parents' memory when they were under a threat that could kill them, to keep them safe.

[THE CAMERA IS FOCUSED ON HERMIONE, WHO IS HOLDING HER WAND UP BEHIND HER PARENTS AS HER PARENTS WATCH SOMETHING IN THE DISTANCE.]

"WHAT?!" As well as gasps of astonishment were heard throughout the Hall. "My what a noble thing to do…" Dumbledore mumbled to himself as he took in the sight of Miss Granger becoming distressed at the thought of her parents not remembering her. Which Mr. Weasley comforted her about, and reassured her that it had not happened yet. They still remembered her.

He smiled to himself when he saw this, 'Yes, I do believe young Granger and young Weasley do like each other, even if they don't notice it themselves… They seem to be good for each other.'

Throughout all the mischief and trouble that Harry and Ron put her through, she always stayed a true friend to them. This is Hermione Jean Granger.

Many students began to clap for Hermione, as they had not known much about her before, but since she was picked first to be introduced in Lady Hecate's book, she must be really brave. And the fact that she was able to put aside her feelings for the safety of her parents also got her some claps. Some of them knew what it was like to lose the love of a parent.

[THE PICTURE IS OF A FULL BODY SHOT OF HERMIONE IN HER SCHOOL UNIFORM, LOOKING AT THE CAMERA WITH HER WAND RAISED.]

[HERMIONE IS LOOKING OFF INTO THE DISTANCE IN HER SCHOOL UNIFORM, HER CHIN RESTING ON HER FIST.]

"Wow, Hermione! You're beautiful!" Ginny and Luna called from where they were sitting next to each other on a couch not far from the Golden Trio. "Aw, thanks Luna, Ginny." Hermione said, a little embarrassed that someone called her beautiful.

Ron Weasley:

Ron is the youngest Weasley brother and is often seen with his best friends Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. Ron has been known as the "not-so-bright" friend in the Golden Trio by other students,

Ron looked down at his lap in shame, 'Does this book have to expose EVERY one of his flaws? I mean, everyone knows I'm the stupid one, but there's no need to point it out…' Some of the staff saw the look on Ron's face at the information and vowed to make sure that rumors like this would not be spread again. There was no need to compare students' smarts to each other. ('Then what are the house points? And the house cup?')

but without Ron, the trio would not have all the plans that they have used before. Ron is the strategist of the group and uses his planning skills from Chess to keep the group alive and keep them on their goal.

[RON AND HARRY ARE PLAYING CHESS AS HERMIONE STANDS BEHIND THEM, WATCHING.]

At this, Ron looks up and smiles shyly, he wasn't used to being praised for his skills. It was usually "Percy this…" "Charlie that…". He was always the shadow. Never the front-runner. Maybe now it was his turn. This made Ron smile even more as Harry squeezed his shoulder in agreement with the book.

"Ron, you of all people should know just how much I've needed you throughout the years," Harry said seriously. Ron shrugged his shoulders, "I guess I do know, yeah mate, but that doesn't stop me from doubting." Ron said nonchalantly, but as their brother said this, the twins looked at each other with regret in their eyes. They should have been there for Ron more.

Ron adds humor and charisma to the group's dynamic, which helps defuse the worst of situations.

With so many siblings, it becomes easy for one to be left out or made to hide in another sibling's shadow, and this has happened to Ron on multiple occasions.

The twins once again frowned at this. They would have to speak to their family about making sure this doesn't happen again in the future and apologize for past mistakes they have made that made Ron feel like this. They might not always show it, but they do love their brother, and it hurt them to know Ron felt that he couldn't make a name for himself.

Even though they have had many fights, Harry has always been a constant for Ron, and he relies on Harry to support him through all his decisions when he feels he can't go to his brothers or the rest of his family about things.

[RON AND HARRY BOTH HAVE SERIOUS LOOKS ON THEIR FACES AS THEY HOLD UP THEIR WANDS IN THE SAME DIRECTION IN FRONT OF THEM.]

A couple of people, mainly girls, glared at Ron in jealousy. They hated how close the Weasley managed to make himself to Harry when they felt it should be them next to the boy who lived. Meanwhile, Dolores Umbridge also realized how close the pair were. She realized that they were even closer than that Granger girl and Harry were. 'This could be a way to get to Harry. If only I could somehow get my hands on their connection or Ron's emotions… Yes, this could be good… Now I just need to inform Fudge of my plans.' Umbridge thought with a small evil smirk on her face that no one seemed to notice.

"Thanks for always being there, mate." Ron thanked his friend earnestly. "It might sound a little cliche, but that's what we're for. Friends, that is," Harry said back with a small chuckle in his voice, just glad to be with his friends and have his mind off Michael and the Dursleys.

But even through all of this, Ron values his family more than anything, and he values the relationships that he has with all his siblings as well as his father and mother. He would sacrifice himself for them. This is Ronald Bilius Weasley.

[THE ENTIRE WEASLEY FAMILY IS SHOWN IN CLOTHES TAILORED FOR WARM WEATHER, LOOKING AT THE CAMERA, SMILING. IN THE BACKGROUND YOU CAN SEE EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS.]

"Aw, Ronnikins-" "We didn't realize-" "You felt that-" "Way about us-" The twins said in their signature playful tone, even though they were close to tearing up, glad that they hadn't damaged their relationship with their younger brother too much that it was unrepairable.

Ron rolled his eyes at them before saying, "You should know I love you guys no matter what."

[RON HAS HIS HANDS IN HIS POCKETS, SMILING AS HE LOOKS AT THE CAMERA.]

"Very cute." Hermione said to Ron before kissing him lightly on the cheek.

"I suppose that means it's official? You and Ron are really in a relationship?" Lavender Brown asked with a slight tone of disdain in her voice, knowing that she had almost no chance with Ron if he was in a relationship with Granger. "Yes, we have been in a relationship for… oh, around a year now," Hermione said to Lavender with a voice that said, "I won".

"Well, I would like to congratulate our first couple of the reading. It is nice to see students forming relationships like yours while they are in school," Dumbledore said with a slight longing in his voice as if remembering a distant memory from a long time ago.

Ron x Hermione:

Ron and Hermione first hated each other, then grew to become friends with each other, and eventually started to love each other. They both have been jealous of each other and have shown just how much they love each other throughout the time they have known one another.

Nothing can break this couple apart.

[HERMIONE AND RON ARE HOLDING EACH OTHER, KISSING AS HARRY STANDS BEHIND THEM, A SHOCKED LOOK ON HIS FACE.]

"Aw! Harry's just looking at you two in shock in the background!" Seamus Finnigan said while laughing at Harry's slight discomfort at sitting right next to Ron and Hermione, who were looking at each other with love in their eyes. And what hurts, even more, was when Harry looked at Ron and Hermione with love in their eyes, he saw him and Michael in the same position. But now he knew, they could never be like that again with each other.

[RON AND HERMIONE ARE BOTH DRESSED IN HOODIES, HUGGING EACH OTHER TIGHTLY.]

"Now this is just really cute." Pansy Parkinson whispered to Draco Malfoy, who was sitting next to her and Blaise Zabini. "I guess I can't argue with you there." Draco said, still not loving the attention the "Golden Trio" was getting, but he has grown out of a lot of the hatred he had for them with time.

[RON HAS A BOOK IN HIS HAND AS HERMIONE HUGS HIS SHOULDERS FROM BEHIND, HER EYES CLOSED.]

Everyone in the hall could just see the love and adoration they held for each other.

"That is the end of Chapter 1: A Bookworm and a Weasley," Dumbledore announced to the Great Hall so that people could rearrange themselves and get settled again before starting the next chapter.
