Age 2
Yoshima decided to get her a bed. Her own bed, which ultimately means a bed that was previously occupied by a kid who graduated the Academy, which means he or she became an adult in the eyes of the village.
The bed was fine, but Tamako had to room with another three kids.
Can't win them all.
All were girls and were named Yukata, Matsuri, and Kaori. Four kids in tiny room was a terrible idea. Tamako was the youngest, just by a few of months, so the three had ultimately used an age-hierarchy system against the onyx eyed girl, and thankfully, they constantly babied her.
In Tamako's previous life, she was the youngest child. Her older sister had gotten all the attention so she was left to her own devices to grow up herself. All of this attention was new and quite honestly annoying.
She was average in looks in her previous life, but in this life? Guren was her mother, and her mom's genes was out of this world.
"Tamako-chan, you're hair is a mess..." Yoshino trailed off, grabbing a nearby comb before scraping it against the younger girl's skull
"Itai!" Tamako scrambled away from the brush and used a book she was attempting to read as a shield. "I'll do it myself!"
"Now now, I still can't get used to you speaking so well for your age! Now hurry along, Yukata, Matsuri and Kaori are waiting for you!" Yoshino chimed, putting away the comb before reaching for her embroidery kit.
"Hai hai..." Tamako muttered with grumpiness, slowly inching towards her awaited doom. Don't get her wrong, she loves kids, really. It's just, being treated as a kid by a kid, was incredibly infuriating. She was mentally older than them by over a decade, all things considered, she should be the one babying them!
The door slammed opened with no resistance and out came running a girl close to Tamako's age sporting a short dark hair and paired with chestnut eyes. "Tama-tan. Read!" Yukata shoved a book about princesses into her face. Now Yukata was absolutely adorable as a kid and if Tamako was her actual mental age, she would've showered the younger girl with candies and the like. The cherry on top was that Yukata, despite being nearly two years old, was probably the stupidest of the four kids sharing her room.
Quickly pushing the girl aside, she plopped on her bed, which was already occupied by both Matsuri and Kaori and spread eagle wide.
"PLEASE TAMA"
. . .
During those months, Matsuma deemed Tamako's age group ready for some intermediate vocabulary and light reading.
Tamako, on the other hand, didn't give a shit about her lessons, as her vocabulary already exceeded whatever Matsuma was teaching and instead wanted to foster a new skill, a lip-reading skill.
It's an important skill for collecting information from afar, any shinobi worth their salt should be able to, and as a self-proclaimed prodigy, she needs it now. She could also bullshit her way though by doing absolutely nothing, but as long as she trained her skills, it'll naturally raise her skill level. Which in Tamako's case, is extremely important.
Yoshima already taught her basic vocab, so she's technically, ahead of her age group. Not that it matters. As long as people see me as a prodigy, there would be less questioning
"Now everyone, can you say library? Lie-bray-e. Library." Matsuma repeated over and over.
Is there a mute in this game? Tamako could only think negatively, boredom enveloped her as she sighed.
"Ne ne, Tamo-chan. Why do you always know more things?" Yukata wined while poking at her hard. "You also know... bigger words that me, not fair!" She wailed, emphasizing the word bigger by waving her arms sporadically.
Tamako shrugged childishly, "It just seems to be easy for me. It's not that difficult, unless you don't practice." Picking her words carefully and slowly, saying it a bit louder so Matsuma could hear.
"You're no fun." She pouted, shuffling away to Matsuma before stating. "Why does Tama-chan know bigger words than me? Is she cheating? It's not fair!"
"Ah, it's natural for her it seems. She just understands faster than other kids, isn't that right Tamako?" Matsuma said warmly before her eyes shined. "Ah, when you grow up, Tama, would you like to be a Shinobi?"
"Shi-no-bi?" She pronounced carefully, putting on a thinking expression. "You mean those people jumping on the roof all the time? And those weird people who visit every month?" Tamako questioned her innocently, inside, her brain was working faster than she could process, ideas blooming under her and a new manipulative side ran its course
"Ah yes, once you turn eight, you're are granted to join the Academy, but if you're, ehem, smart enough, you might be able to join earlier." Matsuma responded joyfully, clasping her hands together as she looked at Tamako lovingly.
Kids entering the Academy who are orphaned receive a small amount of money each month, the money goes to head matron, like a stipend to accommodate supplies.
She nodded back knowingly, playing into Matsuma's desires, "So in order to be considered, you must be able to strong enough, ne? Like... Kazekage-sama?" She clasped her hands together to appear more closer to her physical age, "Then..." She shuffled nervously, "..can I start training now?"
"The earlier, the better" Matsuma hummed, "You can go outside in our yard to train, start as soon as possible!"
Tamako smirked against her sleeve, Heh, I got my pass to train, and an excuse if someone was asked.
If this all backfires, just blame it on the Matron, no one is going to think its her fault.

"Okay! I'll start training after vocab class!"
"That's the spirit!"
After class, which was suspiciously short, Matsuma dragged Tamako outside and handed her blunted kunais to work with and left. Tamako stared at the kunais, they were extremely blunted, almost falling apart, and suspiciously rusty.
Then her minded wandered back to the stupid Matron who left a two year old unsupervised with weapons.
Then an idea sprang into her head
She had the Crystal Kekkei Genkai
She didn't even need to buy kunai and waste money, she could just make her own...
Tamako observed a kunai closely, holding it with her right hand, and mentally jotting down notes on the structure before holding up her left hand and concentrated chakra. Slowly, the palm began to glow and almost magically, crystal enshrouded her hand, which was not something she wanted—
How do I stop this!?
She panicked, stopping all connections to her inner chakra, which first of all, how did she hit it first try?
The crystal was snug around her fist, light which indicated the quality and density were subpar and jagged. She threw her fist in the sky to glance at it with the sun, seeing impurities riddling the crystal.
Taking the back part of the kunai, she slammed it against her fist and the crystal shattered on impact, becoming dust in matter of seconds. Most importantly, she was safe.
Well. She thought, shaking her wrist to release any soreness, now I know to focus my chakra at the center rather my entire hand.
She took it slow, willing her chakra to spread softly at the palm of her hand and watching as crystal form. The handle was first, an imperfect circle. Next was the handle. The crystal formed into a jagged line but it was passable. Then the blade. While its thickness was much greater than the handle, the overexertion had caused even more messily formed crystal before a natural tip formed to finish the blade due to her lack of ability.
Simple Crystal Kunai - Rank: Poor
- An extremely fragile kunai made from an inexperienced Crystal Release user.
+ Durability: 2/2
+ Attack: +2
*tip - try think of density
Tamako stared blankly at her failed kunai before smacking her forehead against her palm, astounded by her own stupidity.
Why haven't I thought about density? Tamako, who felt true to her entire five wisdom, checked on her CP, and it wasn't looking pretty.
CP: 120/145
Alright she was lying, it's doing okay, but if she was in real combat, she could only make 5 kunai before passing out, and that's not even counting the chakra she'll be coursing through her body to make her sturdier, faster and stronger.
Who am I kidding— it takes twenty percent of my chakra to make a single, poorly made, kunai.
She's going to die.
Tamako looked at her failure of a kunai before stuffing it into her inventory and attempting to make another one. Focusing a bulb of chakra onto her right palm, forcing chakra the to chakra, to bid her doing, and formed it into the desired shape, crystal blooming.
This time, it was smooth with a sharp edge at the end, Tamako, who finally managed to make something, smiled in victory and observed her newly made kunai.
Simple Crystal Kunai - Rank: Intermediate
- A well-made kunai crafted by a beginner crystal user
- More thought was put into this while creating it

"If I mass produce starting today, I would never need to buy any kunai every again!" She grinned at herself, truly feeling like a child before [Gamer's Mind] calmed her down. "But if I start using them day one, people are going to ask where and how I get them." She thought out loud with a finger on her chin before sighing heavily. Once she's in the Academy, she and the Kazekage are gonna have a long talk.
And a lot of saves.
Tamako got back to work and attempted to mass produced kunai, after creating three more, she flat out collapsed on the ground heaving, and summoned her status board- not enough chakra. She glanced at her small pile of kunai in the corner of her eye, ranging color of pink, purple and blue. All were pretty, and reflected against the hot Suna sun.
Groaning, she slapped her hand haphazardly on the ground before touching the tip of the kunai before summoning them all into her inventory.
The hot Suna sun felt right on her cheeks. The warm caressing its harmful rays felt like home— felt like mother.
. . .
In a few weeks, Tamako managed to create fifteen intermediate kunai's without damaging her chakra pathways, something she was quite proud of, and limited her usage every other day. We will ignore the fuck-ups and shoddy kunai's/
For now, Tamako withheld from using chakra, if she fucks up her pathways and stunts her growth, she might as well suicide and restart. Besides, if she can't mold chakra into any jutsu, she might as well say goodbye to the cozy life of a future Council Elder— if she can't attended Academy, which requires chakra, then what's the point?
For now, she's sticking to chakra control.
Tamako nodded silently as she laid on her comfortable bed, jolting when someone shouted in her ear.
"Tama-chan! Wake up!" Yukata screamed like it was Christmas—hey is there something similar to Christmas here?
"I'm up Yukata-san, what is it?" Tamako rubbed at her eyes, before folding her blankets
"It's your birthday! Happy Birthday!"
Tamako internally cringed at the child and shrugged her off before a blue window popped up.
[Wow, you're already three years old! Soon enough, you'll be heading to the Academy!]

LV UP
It's a step closer.
Dismissed the window and climbed down the stairs for breakfast, not saying a word to Yukata. She pouted and chased after the periwinkle hair girl and continued to blabber on about life.
It's going to be a while until the academy.
