Age 6

The Academy was comprised of twelve semesters or six years and Sunagakure took its education really seriously. On the first day was the ceremony that required every Academy hopeful to attend, and the rest of the years had the day off. It was basically an induction day. She entered through the door and went to the many desks lined up on the wall, taking in the lines of six-year old hopefuls and jotting their names before handing them a number.

It was incredibly crowded with many student hopefuls bidding their parents goodbye, while many orphans like her entered the side building and took a seat in the massive auditorium-style room. It could probably fit maybe three-hundred people.

As they all clambered into the room with the room being incredibly loud since everyone was an undisciplined six year old, it finally stood at a silence when the Fourth Kazekage, or her little nickname for him, Fucking Rasa, finally took the stage and did his little speech. It was some propaganda-spew about the Will of Wind and facing our enemies with the tenacity of Desert Storms. Then, he dropped the bomb.

"As pleased as I am to see so many willing to climb to the esteemed position of Shinobi, there is an entrance exam to place you at the corresponding level." He coughed into his arm and several chunin walked onto the stage, all holding clipboards as they stared down. A man who walked with a limp spoke first, ending orientation. "Those who were assigned the number one, please follow me."

She glanced at her number. Four.

Grimacing, how unlucky.

Finally, she was called upon and followed the gaggle of students like they were ducks. From what she's estimated, there were approximately three-hundred student hopefuls, and many of these students were well beyond the age of six. Many of these had failed the year before and are on their second, or even third attempt.

Hell, the kids left won't even be a fifth of the original three-hundred.

The wooden door creaked open and one by one, the students sat down with Tamako taking a seat in the front, ready to get over with it. She wanted to try out her new skill she had won from Temari, [ID Create]. She hadn't had the time to test it due to the paranoia of being caught disappearing from Suna's ANBU, or whatever they called themselves here.

A chunin rose to the front of the class, eyeing a clock before turning to the rest of us and talking in a monotone voice. "There are ten questions to answer, please write your name and hand it in within forty minutes." He paused and glanced at his clipboard. "Your class and ranking will be posted tomorrow 0700 and you are required to attend class the following day. Please begin."

At the last syllable, Tamako flips over the paper and scans through the questions quickly, almost snorting at the level of difficulty. Most Naruto Nerds should be able to answer them.

Or maybe it was just her.

[Quest Alert!]

She answered...

3. Name all 5 nature release
A. Katon, Doton, Suiton, Raiton and Fuuton

4. Name 2 Kekkei Genkai
A. Sharingan and Hyoton

5. How many Bijuu are there?
A. Nine

6. What transpired in the first Gokage Meeting?
A. Senju Hashirama, Konoha's Shodaime had offered to hand each major village an Bijuu to ensure a power balance. Suna declined citing they had already obtained Ichibi and would rather want fertile land. Konoha agreed, Iwa did not, sparking the first war.

7. Who are Kaze no Kuni's Ally(ies)?
A. Hi no Kuni

There were a few mathematical equations she had to solve, nothing too serious. Just some simple addition, subtraction with a few multiplications thrown in. She wasn't fully expecting other normal six year olds to get it all right, as there was some fifth grade math mixed in.

Then, she got to the scenario question.

10. There are 5 enemy shinobi encroaching your camp near Land of Stone, you only have 10 Kunai, 4 shuriken and 4 paper bombs. You must eliminate them now and cannot call for reinforcements, how do you proceed?

Tamako blinked at the question. It was far more... intense than the other questions. No doubt, the first nine questions were to weed out the stupid and the final question would dictate which class she'll end up in.

A. Assuming that I was working alone, I would need to lure all five enemy shinobi into the cave and engage in combat. If possible, divert their attention with a bunshin and wire the entrance to the cave in traps. Use the four shuriken to divert their attention from the cave entrance and tie the rest of the four paper bombs to kunai and throw two at the entrance, caving it in. Then use one seal at the top of the cave to ensure the cave's instability. Plug up any holes and wait.

Set up an ambush. If there are any enemy shinobi that survive, take them down while they are still hazy from lack of oxygen and light. Defeat them with the remaining kunai.

It was a solid answer, and the best thing she could come up with with her lack of combat experience. This should reassure that she was at least thinking. With a reassured nod, she wrote her name at the top and glanced at the clock. Thirty-five minutes left.

No one else had handed in their test but Tamako has an prodigious image to uphold. She stood up, attracting attention to herself and calmly handed in her paper before leaving through the door.

There was no chance she wasn't passing the test, it was far too easy. If she didn't get a perfect score, she would be insulted.

Her return back to her seat didn't take long as she had picked the seat closest to the front. She breathed in, closing her eyes and meditated for the rest of the time.

Once everyone handed in the test, they dismissed the entire class before reminding that results will be up on the billboard tomorrow morning. Tamako had walked out of the classroom by then, skipping gleefully out of the Academy before taking refuge in the bathroom.

There probably wasn't anyone around her, and it was finally the perfect time to start.

[ID Create] which, she assumed, would be like dungeons. Instant monsters in instant dungeons would be great for exp and drops. She's played enough RPGs to see where this is going.

"ID Create" She whispered, soon enough, blue pixels surrounded her figure, creating a barrier that disappeared not even a second later. Instead of her small dainty room, she was greeted with a vast plain with a blue sky, not a hint of clouds. Tamako could breathe in the fresh air before plopping on the ground, sunbathing. A tree that was a couple of feet away provided nice shade.

"Aah, 6 years with air filled with sand and unbearable heat, this is amazing...the temperature is a little on the warm side." She stood up with fervor, an anguished face plastered on with tears running down her chin. "Just how many times do I have to keep using this skill until I get an actual dungeon?!"

After Tamako has spammed the words [ID Create] and [ID Escape] several (hundreds if you asked her) times, probably sounding like a lunatic every time she reappeared in the real world with her loud voice echoing in the bathroom.

Then, with a bright glow that quickly dissipated after the ending cast of the skill, revealed a snowy like biome.

It wasn't snowing but the ground was coated with soft powered snow. A small pond was frozen over, and nearby was a willow tree, which was hovering over the pond. The willow tree itself was frozen and had icicles hanging off.

A complete winter wonderland.

Without wasting time, Tamako gleefully jumped into the snow, landing on her back with the snow to break the fall, and her limbs flailing like a fish.

"Holy fuck, I haven't seen snow in years!"

She spent a good time floundering around the winter wonderland, before recycling the skill once more.

When both skills reached level 5, a different scenery, unlike the others, appeared. It was Sunagakure.

Sunagakure, but not.

It was more torn and worn than usual, buildings looked like no one had stepped into for years, maybe even decades. The usual main path was devoid of any hint of a former street and just a few feet away was a walking skeleton.

Tamako paused

Wait

She turned around, almost snapping her neck in the process when her brain finally caught up. Right above the skeleton's head was a name.

[Civilian Skeleton]

The short haired girl dunk behind a sand doom, peeking her head out and blinking widely.

"Observe"

Civilian Skeleton

Level: 2

Class: Civilian

HP: 50/50

CP: 75

A fast-moving, soft hitting, skeleton version of a common villager in the Narutoverse.

The skeleton was already getting up and charging right at her, swiping with no regards. The girl easily folded her body to avoid the attack and simultaneously waved a hand in front of her. Chakra urged at her calling and quickly formed a tanto and she quickly swiped at the neck.

NULL! -0 DMG!

"Wha—" Tamako didn't even get a chance to finish when the skeleton swung its arm around in a deadly fashion.

She duck forward, sliding her small figure between the legs and appearing behind the enemy. There, she gripped her tanto a bit firmer, feeling her chakra coat the weapon before it reformed into a comically large hammer nearly double her size.

With both hands, and arms coated with chakra, she slammed the weapon forward, crushing the skeleton and leaving dust behind.

CRIT! -100 DMG!

The dust soon flickered away into blue particles, creating a window that showed off her exploits and earnings. The previous area the dust occupied was replaced with cash.

Newly Acquired INFO !

Mobs that have a skeletal-like figure will take more damage though blunt weapons / attacks

Immune to slashes and other assassination techniques

Tamako crossed her arms and nodded with understanding, "Hmm, that makes sense. I guess I should leave my tanto behind."

Berserkers Hammer - Rank: Intermediate

- A well-made large hammer crafted by a skilled Crystal User

+ 49/50 Durability

+ Attack: +30

She heaved the comically large hammer over her shoulder and enhanced her legs with chakra, jumping onto a nearby building to hunt for her next prey.

There, she easily spotted a [Skeleton Kid]

"Observe"

Skeleton Kid

Level: 1

HP: 25/25

CP: 10/10

A fast-moving, soft hitting, skeleton version of an average Sunagakure kid.

Forming crude crystal chunks, she waved the forward and watched as they rained down onto the mob.

-5 HP!

-5 HP!

-5 HP!

-5 HP!

The kid looked at the remains of his crushed limbs, head facing towards the sky before letting out a high pitched screech. Instantly, a [Civilian Skeleton] raced over and spotted the assailant, (her). It back hunched forward, eyes that were nonexistent appeared to have a red glow.

Then it let out an equally ear-piercing screech.

Oh my.

[Skeleton Civilian] - Enraged

Now, in a situation like this, getting a mob in enraged mode had to meet one of the two requirements. One, it reached health below 5%, or two, an action had set it off.

Tamako wasn't built like a tank, her mere 150HP couldn't tank anything. So for her to build aggro is a big no no.

Well, that's how it is in most games. The world she lives in is flexible.

Technically, you don't need a tank, just don't get hit.

The Skeleton ran forward at a sluggish pace, dodging left and right at her crude blunt attacks before getting pancaked by an entire boulder she had summoned above.

+2 EXP!

+20 ryo

+ 1 Uneaten Lollipop

Tamako leapt down and finished off the [Skeleton Kid], quickly picking up the ryo it had left behind before her eyebrows rose.

"Lollipop? Is it even safe to eat?" She picked the affronted sweet and activated her skill.

Lolipop - Uncommon

- A sweet that has too much sugar, might help with bribing

- Completely safe for consuming despite the place where you received

+ Staves off hunger for 15 minutes

She eyed the sweet a second longer before pocketing it into her pouch and leapt away, dodging common mobs she had already seen before crouch low behind a boulder. She peeked her head just slightly.

A shaggy looking skeleton perked up, its head looked left and right before returning to its position. An iron sword strapped on its back signaled that it was far more powerful than the two mobs she had fought before.

Skeleton Bandit

Level: 7

HP: 175/175

CP: 120/120

A fast-moving, hard-hitting bandit that is similar to a slightly weaker bandit.

This skeleton had a complete five more levels than the previous [Skeleton Civilian] and obviously spouted a far greater challenge for the reincarnate.

The hammer that rested on her shoulder had finally become useful, with a well timed shunshin, she practically teleported next to the unsuspecting enemy and with both hands, swung forward.

The blunt weapon had smashed into the Skeleton's side and had snapped its right arm in half. The Skeleton rolled pathetically on the ground as it struggled to get up with its heavy sword weighing it down.

Tamako quickly dashed forward, wanting to take advantage of its weakened state to hit the final blow. Without mercy, the hammer descended down with an audible smash from bones blowing into smithereens.

+12 EXP!

+200 ryo

+ 1 broken scimitar

+ 1 expensive looking pouch

"Finally, something I can work with." Tamako smirked, picking up the western style sword and swinging it a few times before carelessly throwing it into her inventory. Then, she picked up the 'expensive looking pouch' and observed it, revealing its true name.

Noble's Pouch - Rare

Amount Inside: 2,000 ryo

Cost: 500 ryo

+ An expensive pouch that was stolen by a bandit

Well, she mused, I guess I'll be grinding this mob from now on.

And so she did, days upon weeks upon months she had grinded the boss, mercilessly cutting down the mob until she had gathered exactly twenty-seven of them.

While the amount of money and quality of the pouch varied, an estimated twenty-six thousand ryo was made. Not too bad for a few months of grinding, but the money wasn't the only thing gained.

Her EXP Bar had far exceeded its initial cap, but she had yet to level up. A level cap, Tamako had concluded after a few days of mulling it over.

Perhaps it was the system's way of putting a leash around her neck, perhaps it was the system to declare that she needs to rely on them.

In a way, it was true.

Her fate depends on the system.

She shook her head, trying to get rid of the left-deprecating thoughts. No! Smacking both of her cheeks, I got far more important things to do!

Tamako walked around the market transformed to look like an older woman. She opted for normal looks, not too pretty for eyes to stray, but not too ugly to do the same. A nearly forgettable face.

Her objective?

The fruits of her labor had given her money, yes, but what came with them were the pouches themselves. While some had varied in quality, it wasn't a lie that they all had some degree of being professionally made, courtesy of the system.

They sat empty in her inventory far too long, just taking up space, so the next best idea was to somehow pawn them off. Suna's economy was always unstable, ryo sometimes was not as desirable in comparison to grains or other items so many had adopted back to the olden style of trading and bartering.

She walked past a venue with intricate jewelry and quickly turned away when her skill revealed them to be fake. After a few hours of window shopping, she had traded for a few old scrolls that piqued her interest, two well-made durable cloaks and a bit of ryo.

During her bartering, she had even unlocked a new skill, [Killer Intent] after someone had tried to rip her off.

Killer Intent (Passive) Level: 1 EXP: 0.00%

- You are able to produce Killer Intent, affecting the area you're around and others

+ You can affect rodents and other small animals

The situation quickly dissolved after the young girl walked away in favor of the sweet aroma that wafted towards her.

Dango.

Tamako nearly squealed, undoing her henge in an alley and quickly purchased 3 skewers. Temari had introduced her to her addiction. She didn't even care about her sugar intake, [Gamer's Body] would handle it, probably.

The anko filling of the dango sweetened everything around her as she slowly chewed threw the delicious sweet, unaware at a woman giving her wide looks.

"Ehh? Tamako?"

The mentioned girl blinked, her immersion broken.

Matsuma eye-smiled, "Where did you get money for that cloak you're wearing?"

Tamako glanced down and groaned, she'd been wearing her sweet new, very much cool cloak that screamed quality. It was the one thing she over-indulged for.

"...fuck."

The woman blinked, her eyes narrowing as she tsked at her. "Tama, I taught you better! Don't curse, it ruins your perfect face." She walked forward, grabbing onto her skewer and began munching on her dango.

What the hell?

"Did you talk to the Kazekage yourself?" The Matron inquired, savoring the taste of the foreign delicacy as she prodded off. "He must've given you a larger stipend, hasn't he? Ooh, I knew it!" The woman beamed, "I always knew you were different from your peers, oh my little prodigy aren't you!"

The short haired girl opened her mouth in protest before Matsuma quickly intervened before she could spout a single word.

"No worries." Matsuma smirked, patting her head. "Just let me take care of your money, you can train without worrying about management, okay?"

Tamako, who literally is fuming, finally snaps. "Look miss, I don't need your help, okay? I can take care of myself just fine!" All the pent out anger just exploded. "Why don't you do your job and take care of the kids instead of being money obsessed! Who the hell made you in charge of the orphanage? I swear to god, once I'm in charge of this place, I'm throwing you to District Eight!"

Her usually pristine face warps into a ugly one, a red hot blush floundering at her face when people began to stop and stare at the scene. "Tamako! I've raised you and you— you treat me like this!? How dare you!" She raises a hand to slap the shit out of the smirking girl, but freezes.

Everything around her freezes.

Tamako could only smirk, waving her fingers in a goodbye before returning to a save she had set up right after finishing her final barter. It felt good to yell at that sorry of an excuse woman.

The warp was still as uncomfortable as it was the first time, and she bid the merchant goodbye. This time, she ignored the temptation of dango and skipped back to living space. Tamako honestly really hated the Head Matron, the fact that she pushed children, some of them didn't even want to be shinobi, into this career path was so damningly horrible. All for a stupid stipend. She wondered quietly how many kids were forced into this damned career path, how many perished in combat that they weren't prepared for.

It also didn't help that the following day at 0700, she scaled the building and dashed towards the Academy and spotted a few early risers crowding a new bulletin board outside the Academy.

She fistbumped the air and lined up with the rest of the kids, waiting for her name to be called from the sea of students. Eventually, her name was called alongside many others who ranked highly on the Entrance Exam. Her Instructor guided her class to a large classroom and gave them an expectant look.

Tamako picked out a seat all away in the back left near a window, not because all the protagonists sat there, but because she liked the breeze. Definitely not because all the protagonists sat there. Definitely.

Soon enough all seats were filled, each table with three kids and the tables were arrange so that the further away from the front, and higher it gets, she honestly really liked that because usually sitting in the back meant you couldn't see the board because of the kids in front so this way, sitting in the back gave her a full view of the entire class.

The academy teacher was dressed in a Suna styled flak jacket and pants with a forehead protector. Pretty bland in her opinion.

"Observe"

Name: Kaibara Koshiro

Level: 65

Class: Low-Chunin

HP: 3,364

CP: 7,946

A young Shinobi who is well-rounded and perfect for teaching the Academy. Currently, he enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge but is a bit bitter when mentioning the Ichibi. He is soft-spoken but if push to the extreme, the whole class suffers.

"Alright class, I am Kaibara Koshiro, you can call me Koshiro-sensei." He says, hands gliding across the board with hidden ease. "This year you will be learning about history, linguistics and trajectory. You are also required to know basic strategy, survival, and tracking. We won't focus too much on the physical, as you will focus that next year and so on. Please memorize the schedule I'm about to write on the board." Chalk hitting the board filled the empty classroom.

"Alright everyone, when I say your name please raise your hand. Hoki Nanami? Thank you. Enomoto Hitomi? Thanks." Roll Call lasted for a few minutes and finally, the day started.

Great.

From there, she continued her life as normal. Returning back to the dungeons for easy grinds, returning back to real life to continue acting as a normal prodigy and attending really boring lectures and class.

Whatever a normal prodigy did. I guess. She's honestly just winging it at this point.

She trained under the watchful gaze of those around her, she wowed kids around her and slowly increased her skills. That's what prodigies did, right?

Life was... normal.

Until it wasn't in a form of a surprise by [System] themself. She was in the middle of her lunch break when it appeared.

[Late Update: Congrats on your Academy Acceptance!]

[System Update]

Personal Description has been added

Game Master has been added. You can ask questions via Main Menu.

Weapon Ranking has changed

Item Ranking has changed

Weapon Damaging has changed

Equipping has changed

System update!? Tamako quickly checked out her personal description, not even trying to hide her anticipation when she gained a few looks around her from her classmates. It was lunch-time and Tamako forgot to pack herself some food, so she's killing time by going through the new update.

Tamako is a reincarnated absentminded daydreamer who enjoys giving and receiving attention from people she can seek validation from. Despite having low motivation for achieving rank past Chunin, her goals are to survive past the Fourth Shinobi War while seeking small change without the plot with no return.

She feels indifferent towards the topic of marriage, love and friendship. There is only improvement in her own self.

Currently, at her age, she can match a battle with Canon characters such as same age Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Itachi. She is under-leveled, however her skills exceed her level. Her taijutsu are on par with Might Gai's aptitude as a Genin.

Tamako raised her eyebrows at a particular sentence, match a battle with seven year old Kakashi? Well, I guess that isn't horrible.

She dismissed the length character description and finally got to the last notification.

HOLY!I was fuckingright! A level cap! And it disappears near the start of her second year at the Academy, at the cusp of. Interesting.

Tamako closed the notifications one by one before bringing up the Game Master, flinching back when a holographic keyboard appeared.

She slowly typed out her question, thinking a bit longer before biting the bullet, sent.

Question: What was Uchiha Itachi's stats at my age?

The bubble seem to meander for a little, pausing and resuming as if a real person was typing up an answer. It made her… anxious. This [Game Master] was the one who put her in this situation. Then finally, she got an answer.

Game Master: That's something I cannot answer. However, I can tell you that he was Level 46 at your age.

Holy crap. I need to up my game. I'm only barely Level 20-

Question: How did the Weapon Ranking, Item Ranking, Damaging and Equipping change?

Game Master: When receiving weapons and items, they are ranked with a color. Damage has been optimized, STR now contributes to flat damage.

Equipping Armor and Weapons need a specific Level and STR. For weapons, you must have a high STR to carry, example, a large Battle Axe.

And that's how she started her lunch break. Calculations, stat comparisons and depression.
