After two weeks of tying loose ends of both Deidara and Uchiha, she finally guides the new Taka to one of Akatsuki's larger hideouts. There, there are plenty of beds and decent food, Tamako promptly passes out as soon as her head touches the pillow, not even bothering to close the door and sleeps for eighteen hours straight.
When Tamako awakens, her hair tussled with drool marks down her cheek. Zetsu slithers out of the wall above her bed with an unsettling smile, letting her know that there was a meeting in the main hall along with Taka. She wipes her mouth and brushes her hair with a quick comb that she forms between her fingers and changes into a clean set of clothes and marches on.
Her eyes are bleary but nevertheless well rested and she enters the room quietly, observing the two groups interacting.
Suigetsu gets into a heated argument with Kisame after the blue-skinned man claims that Taka wasn't strong enough to take down Konoha's Elders and before Suigetsu could send Kubikiribōchō slashing down, Obito reaches forward and blocks the blade with his wrist. "Sasuke! You haven't trained them well." He sneers, looking at the trio as if they were dogs.
"Suigetsu!" Karin growls, lifting her glasses, "Are you stupid? This isn't the place to—"
"—My objective is his Samehada! I've been hanging with Sasuke only so I could get that!"
She takes a silent step forward and shunshins in, cutting behind Suigetsu with a tilt to her lips. Tamako lifts a dainty hand and places it on his shoulder, jolting the Hozuki. The Shouton User's stealth has been getting better and better, able to hide her presence until the very last nanosecond. "You should think twice about attacking the Akatsuki." She narrows her eyes at the hot-blooded boy, "Show some respect."
He wrenches her hand off with a violent shrug, slamming his Kubikiribōchō to the ground and crosses his arms with a huff.
Jugo turns to Sasuke, "What'll you do?"
"I get it." Sasuke starts, leaning against a table, "Go for it, Suigetsu. You probably can't beat either of them yet anyway."
Kisame lets a low giggle, his chakra fluctuating as if he was excited at the prospect of fighting a stronger Suigetsu later.
"Oh. Thanks a lot, Sasuke. Just hold tight, I'll treat you to some tasty shark fin soup soon enough."
Obito lets out a low sigh, "The Akatsuki is also low on manpower. I'd like to avoid unnecessary skirmishes. "
Suigetsu huffs, smirking with sharp teeth. "Humph. Then you shouldn't criticize others."
"We share common interests..." Obito's single eye-hole gleams red. "From here on, Taka will work together with the Akatsuki."
Sasuke perks up with curiosity, "And what's in it for us?"
"We'll give you a Bijuu."
"Bijuu?"
Tamako's eyes widened, what the hell has Orochimaru been teaching this kid the past few years? How did he not know what a Bijuu was?
She tunes out Obito's lecture of the Bijuu history lesson, hearing keywords like Hashirama, peace treaty, failure, and the fact that Akatsuki has only three left to collect.
"The Akatsuki and Taka will split up to hunt the remaining three. That is our immediate goal. Taka will capture the Hachibi, the Akatsuki will hunt the rest, including Naruto." Tobi then tilts his head towards Tamako, "She will join you, to ensure that you are doing your job."
The clearing is silent as Sasuke ponders, then Tamako breaks it with a simple sentence. "Sixteen years ago, the Kyuubi was released in Konoha, killing hundreds including the Yondaime." She tilts her head and he reads her intentions clearly, "It could be a good distraction while you deal with the Elders."
He nods at her input, agreeing to Tobi's plan with a single eye glance. Obito's chakra flickers shortly with satisfaction and kamui's away, leaving Taka, Tamako and Kisame behind. She shares a glance with the now partner-less Kisame and tilts her head towards another room. "Sasuke, I'll meet you at the entrance when you're ready." Her eyes gleamed, "I have something to discuss with Kisame."
She turns her heel and walks away, her heels clicking audibly with intent, heavier footsteps following her. She knows that Obito was off talking to Zetsu, and with the Akatsuki numbers in half, Zetsu would have an easier time keeping track of all of them.
After they were hallways away, she slaps a silence seal on the ground and turns to Kisame. "Itachi or Akatsuki?"
Kisame stares at her with a sharp unsettling grin, his gills fluttering, "What's with the sudden question, Little Miss? Are you upset that Itachi is dead? That the little Uchiha has won?" He ponders with a finger on his chin, "You are quite strange, Little Miss. Helping Itachi, helping Sasuke, who's side are you on?"
Tamako chuckles softly and crosses his arm, "Answer the question, Kisame. Which side are you on? You don't truly believe in Madara's Infinite Tsukuyomi plan, do you?"
His gills flare with an even wider grin, sharp teeth on display. "Little Miss, you know that?" He chuckles as if everything added up, "You Intel people have always rubbed me the wrong way." He lifts his Samehada with purpose. "Were you a double this entire time?"
She lifts Itachi's ring, "Itachi is alive."
His eyes widen, fingers loosening around his sword.
"Kisame." Her eyes have a sharp gleam under the light, a small grin on her face despite the massive eye-bags that darkened her complexion. "You don't truly believe in Madara's plan, do you." She says this as a statement. "Madara's disillusionment and scheming will tear this world into the Fourth Shinobi War." Her eyes narrow and pulls a palm towards him, "But Itachi and I aren't letting him do so, not so easily. Join us. We will stop him and teach the new generation the meaning of unity. To protect everyone from Madara."
She's hit every single doubt that he had, reading Kisame like a book. Referencing his old master, Fubuki who destroyed his nindo and Obito who manipulated the Fourth Mizukage into creating Chigiri that he so hated.
He grabs her hand and squeezes it so hard that she loses feeling.
They share a bitter grin, full of teeth and malice.

She marks on the map where her Base is and after his eye's sweeps over the spot, she burns it. They exchange a single nod and depart separately.
Tamako meets up with Taka at the main exit, eyeing their new Akatsuki robe they donned. For some reason, they all got well-fitted cloaks and even little Karin, who has definitely grown much taller, but still shorter than Tamako, fits perfectly.

She tapped yes, watching three new health bars and names appear at the left side of her vision along with a small profile of each member. Sasuke was at the top with a crown, followed by her name, Jugo's name and Karin's. How handy.
Then she huffs at her stitched-up robe, internally calling it a fashion statement, before they embark to Kumo's steep sloping mountains. The Shouton User had a rough idea where he was, and during the trek, she described his features. "Tan complexion, pale-blonde hair with a muscular build. He wields eight swords." She narrows her eyes at Sasuke, "Don't underestimate him, he's extremely powerful."
Suigetsu scoffs beside her, "The Akatsuki has already taken down six of the nine Bijuu, how hard could this one be?"
Crossing her arms, she almost sneers at him, then remembering he was a teenager and teenagers are stupid. "The more tails, the stronger the jinchūriki. Besides that, Killer B is an extremely strong shinobi, capable of raiton, kaaton, and suiton. He could hold his own against Kisame." She finishes off, emphasizing the name-drop.
Huffing and puffing, Suigetsu leads the group and nearly tackles the nearest Kumo Shinobi they spot, and Sasuke quickly genjutsu's the poor guy into dropping the location before passing out. She nudges the man with her foot, encasing him in crystal.
It took mere minutes for the group to reach the large stairs that led to Killer B's training cave, a large clearing perfect for battle. They stood in a diamond shape with Sasuke at the front, Karin in the back with Tamako in the middle. She was the best at defense, so she took the middle spot.
Killer B jumps from the top and lands softly on the ground to face them.
"Are you the Jinchūriki of the Hachibi?" Sasuke asks coldly, fingers itching for a fight.
Killer B pulls out a few gang signs, "No, it's Hachibi-sama, okay?" He points at the raven-hair with a look, "Say, are you Hachibi-sama, okay?"
"That's Killer B." Tamako says, chakra pouring into the air ready to snap.
"I'm here to capture you."
The Jinchūriki shakes his head with a tilt, "No. You have to say, please allow me to capture you sir, okay? Yeah?" He talks quickly with a tune as if he were rapping and Tamako nods a little at each syllable. Well, it wasn't so bad, but not very good.
"Suigetsu, you take the right. Jugo, you take the left. Karin, get behind me. Tamako, stand back. I"ll show you the might of Taka." Sasuke commands, and his team moves.
Tamako shrugs, raising her arms in surrender, "If you say so..."
Once the words left the periwinkle haired girl's mouth, Suigetsu lunged forward with a katana in hand and slams down, destroying a chunk of the ground that pushed dust into the air. Karin's chakra chains cuts through the dust and Killer B jumps into the air to dodge her chains.
"You're not getting away!" Suigetsu shouts, leaping into the air to give chase. He swings the blade a couple times that B quickly dodges with acrobatics before grabbing the blade on the sides with his bare hands.
"The only one who gets to dig me is me!" B raps, "So scram, you fools, or I'll blast you! You fools, yeah!" He shouts his last line and overpowers Suigetsu, flinging his blade and catching it in his hand.
"Suigetsu, get back." Jugo steps forward and the white-hair teenager grunts, falling back.
B continues to rap to Tamako's disappointment and Jugo steps forward with a shout. The Jinchūriki swings the blade experimentally a few times before suddenly moving. Speed that Jugo couldn't react in time, speed that even would give Tamako a run for her money. He smacks the handle right into Jugo's face, stunning the tall man. Then, he followed up with the flat side fo the blade, swinging it down like it was a blunt weapon and docking Jugo right on his head, forcing the orange haired man to drop to the ground with a plop.
At the sight, she could sense Karin's chakra flinching at the scene, and honestly Tamako flinched too because that was the most hilarious thing she'd seen in awhile. The past two weeks were a rollercoaster of emotions and she couldn't help but chuckle, soon she couldn't control herself and she had tears running down her cheeks as she howled.
"Bahahaha..!" Her hands warped around her knees for support, stomach hurting as B continued to rap like nothing happened.
"I've got spare power and my appeal is glowing, eight-tails the bridge, Killer B, yeah that's me! Aw yeah!" He waved his hands into more gang symbols, "Start fighting and you're gonna be embarrassed, 'cuz you'll be torn apart—uh. Ah." He stops his rap, losing his tune with a freeze of motion.
Tamako laughs even harder at his poor rap, now desperately clutching to her stomach with both arms.
"I bit my tongue..."
The Shouton User falls to her knees.
Sasuke side-eyes her like she had a few screw looses and in all honesty, she felt like snapping and going crazy at everything. "I'll go."
Then Tamako watched Sasuke get his ass beaten into the ground.
In the beginning, Sasuke did some impressive taijutsu while spinning in the air, slamming his chokuto through the katana's handwraps, halting Killer B's attack. But when the Jinchūriki unleashed all eight swords into every nook and cranny of his body, he dove in. His fighting style resembled old-school break-dancing which Tamako has never seen before in her life. Clearly, Sasuke hadn't either and was having trouble predicting his moves with his Sharingan fully out, but was still able to parry or dodge lethal hits. However, with B spinning on the ground with his leg's in the air, eight swords deadly swords flying around, and all limbs threatening death proved to be too much and B landed a solid kick that sent Sasuke skidding across the ground.
"Sasuke!" Karin shouted, taking a step forward, "Are you okay!?"
Suigetsu grunted from his position, taking a step forward ready to intercept, "What's with those moves? I can't read through his line of attack."
Yeah, neither could Tamako and Sasuke's the one with the crazy cheat eyes.
In a split second after B streamed raiton through his sword to counter Sasuke's chidori chokuto, B stabbed six of his eight swords right through Sasuke, and he flew back, coughing out blood.
Before Sasuke could land on the ground in a heap, she caught him, breaking his fall. She held him hime style and threw her leg up, catching B's "finishing sting" with her foot covered in crystal. B smirked, raiton racing through his sword.
Thankfully, crystal wasn't a conductor, so she strengthened the crystal, bonding herself to B's weapon and let Jugo shunshin behind B, landing a nice sucker-punch to his face. With her foot still blocking his B's sword, she lifted herself in the air into a spin, kicking the sword and shattering it, the force strong enough to skid back to Karin. Gently placing him on the ground with his upper body leaning on her own, she called for the red-head Uzumaki. "Quickly, Karin!"
Karin dropped to her knees, pulling up her sleeves to reveal her arms, and they had even more bite-marks than the last time Tamako saw her. Glancing away with guilt, she grabs the handle of each sword and quickly pulls them out.
Sasuke chomped down and Tamako quickly ignored the reaction of the Uzumaki and watched each puncture wound sizzleman as his body glowed green. Not even a scar left. He stood up using Tamako's shoulder and took a step forward towards B as Karin panted from exhaustion.
"Thanks, Karin."
She groaned, sweat dripping from her cheek. "Sure..."
Sharing a glance at Tamako, Sasuke nods and she gives him a grin she's known for, all teeth with crescent eyes. "Let's do this."
Using both Suigetsu and Jugo as a distraction, the two run forward. Sasuke prepared his chidori and Tamako went in blazing with her tanto in hand. With a single leap, she blocked B's view of the Uchiha with her body.
A cheeky smile envelops her face before she jumps and spun, her body parallel to the ground just barely dodging Sasuke's chidori stream that B barely deflected with his sword. Close to the ground, Tamako swiped at his feet, forcing the older man to jump before he spun to kick both Suigetsu and Jugo away to engage with Tamako alone.
B threw a fist at the teenager who caught it with both hands, crystal growing on his arm instantly on contact. Wrenching his hand away, he kicked forward his leg to get her to back off, but she kawarimi with Suigetsu, switching the two's places with each other. B's leg went right through Suigetsu, his body turning into water and dousing B.
"Now, Sasuke! Get us both!" Suigetsu shouted, wrapping his watery arms around the man.
Sasuke didn't miss a beat, lunging forward with his buzzing, air vibrating chidori and landed his hit. Both Suigetsu and B fell to their knees at the potent raiton jutsu, smoke steaming from their bodies. While Sasuke caught Suigetsu's body, Tamako spun forward with her heel out, landing a nasty blow onto B's face that sent him pancaking face-first into the ground, dust bellowed out from the crater.
Under the cover of unsettled dust, she saw B's body disappear, shunshin!
"Karin!" Sasuke shouted, the girl responded by holding a one-handed sign and closed her eyes before pointing behind them, right behind the mountains.
"Over there!"
Jugo's chakra engine arm catapulted Sasuke forward and Tamako quickly followed in pursuit by jumping onto a crystal platform she had created, zooming in.
She felt B's chakra demonized before she saw, "Sasuke! He's transforming, be careful!"
"Aa!" He grunts back, using aerial maneuvers to dodge B's incredibly fast lunge with the use of his Sharingan.
Then B's attention was on Tamako.
She blocked his first blow, his Hachibi cloaked body greatly enhanced himself and his arm was powerful enough to snap her tanto in half. Disposing the tanto to the side, she formed dozens of senbon behind the man and clutched the outward fist that met her torso.
Coughing bile into the air, she ignored the DMG counter and grabbed the arm tighter to her body, and puckered her mouth. Suiton: Water Bullet Jutsu!
Tamako spat out water bullets at point blank, forcing B to bend back to dodge. His eyes trailed the homing senbon and right before he could extract his arm from her hold, she fused him to her torso with crystal and axed kicked his balls.
His eyes widened, the hachibi cloak fading away just for a moment at his broken concentration and the senbon piercing a few teketsu throughout his body. Got him!
She celebrated too early because B's head snapped back, "Lariat!"
Instinctively, her body pulsed out chakra to form a shield across her front body that B steamrolled through, landing a hit so powerful that it broke the crystal that fused their body together and sent the girl flying through a mountain and cratering into another.
-10,000 HP!
She coughed out blood, her palms glowing green at the now massive hole through her chest. Her front collarbone was just gone, the part of her neck was now crushed into oblivion and she was missing fucking organs.
Never celebrate so early.
Blood gushed out from the hole and by the very fast ticking windows, she was probably going to die within a few minutes.
Before her body fell from the crater and into the ground, it was Sasuke who caught her, cradling her to his chest as he landed into a crouch, shouting for Karin. His fingers smoothed past her bangs and accessed the damage with his Sharingan.
Every breath she desperately took escaped from the hole, she had no lungs, no windpipe. This hurt a lot more than anything else, usually she died instantly, and Karin definitely did not have enough chakra to heal this, to regenerate all of this.
She was too confident in her speed, and she dearly paid the price.
Well, she mused, at least I have a save to go back to.
Her vision got dark as her tired eyes slowly closed, only to snap open when Sasuke fucking slapped her awake. "Don't die just yet, you promised that you'll follow this through!"
Her eyes slowly trailed to the Uchiha, his eyes wide with Mangekyou activated. He looked almost upset at her death. She beamed at him with a bloody smile, just barely speaking, the sound leaving from that hole. "I'll.. be ba..ck"
Karin peered over with tears gushing past her cheeks, she hasn't seen that many tears since she said goodbye nearly three years ago. This silly girl, who's bigger dreams of love and companionship centered on the wrong people. Tamako couldn't become the sister Karin desperately saw her as, and Sasuke is too mentally unstable and disinterested for love. She felt bad for her.
Why was she crying for her? They've known each other for the total of three months she stayed at Orochimaru's base. No letters, no contact, not even the periodic letters she sent to Sasuke had anything for the girl. Tamako hasn't sent any letters to the girl personally nor did she ever seek her out personally.
She feels guilty, she'll try harder this time.
Her vision goes white and her body exhales one last time.

It takes her another three more tries to not get one-shotted by Killer B, twice he instantly kills her and sends her to the [You've Died] page, twice she's bled out in Sasuke's arms. It was nice to know he at least cared for, at the minimum with his frown and pulled mouth.
Maybe an inconvenience.
She doesn't dwell on his expression too much and on her fifth attempt, she watches Sasuke get "Lariat-ed" instead, and watching him die in front of her sends her into panic. No throat, no chest, no collarbone.
It's a horrifying scene, almost as bad as watching Itachi convulse from a heart-attack. Her arms are warm with his blood, his back to her chest, radiating heat that was getting colder and colder. There's anger in her, that she let him die like this, and anger that this fight that was supposed to be a small check-box was upsetting her current run.
Right before she could restart, lamenting at the fact this was as far as she'd got last time, Jugo bends down and places his mutated arm above the hole, his chakra pulsating out and into the hole.
"Sasuke is compatible with my nature chakra... I won't let you die..!" At every pump of both flesh and chakra, Jugo recedes in size, soon his Akatsuki cloak dwarfs him and the hole is filled up.
Sasuke just barely tilts his head at Killer B, who was already forming into Hachibi's true form. "Oh god." She speaks.
Now she really wished Deidara was here.
The monstrous Chakra completely engulfs her, it's more intimidating than the Sanbi, but that was an unfair comparison because the Sanbi doesn't like conflict. She throws Sasuke over her shoulders like a sack of potato, barking out orders, "We gotta run!"
Suigetsu erupts from the sea water he was flung in earlier, his water body now nearly the same size as the full Hachibi. "You guys run! I'll hold him back!"
With new-found respect, she nods hard and grabs Jugo and secures him in her other arm and runs, Karin hot on her trail.
"You guys aren't leaving so easily now that you've started this!" B's voice bellows out, forming a Bijuu bomb with heavily dense chakra. Shit.
Instantly, Suigetsu uses his body as a shield and B completely wastes the Hozuki, his body flung back to half his normal size and is completely out of it. His opaque body is jellified and he's unconscious. She's ran out of arms and she's not able to escape with the full party.
Glancing at her side bar, she notes her party's HP and CP bar before dropping Jugo on the ground, upheaving Sasuke onto the floor before slapping a chakra capsule through his lips. "Swallow!" She shouts, panic in her voice as she turns to the incoming Bijuu.
Forming fast hand-signs, she slams her palms onto the water which she stood above and a large dragon erupts, "Suiton: Water Dragon Jutsu!" The dragon breaches the lake and slams into the Hachibi, sending him skidding back a good two-hundred feet back.
She should've never made this a close-physical battle, she excels at ninjutsu and long-ranged. Why did she even try fighting in close-range?
The water douses the giant beast and she claps her hands one more time, "Shouton: Crystal Encasement!"
Using the water droplets as a guideline, crystal spreads like a wild-disease encasing half of the Hachibi's body in crystal, weighing him down and subduing that half of the body.
With more than half of his Chakra reserves back, Sasuke steps forward with a single eye open, and before Tamako could throw more ninjutsu at the Hachibi, black flames engulf the Bijuu and he screams.
In a desperate attempt to douse the flames, the Hachibi throws himself into the lake, his screams now muffled in the ocean but doesn't stop.
Sasuke drops to his knees, clutching his eye and she quickly puts a palm over his eye, soothing just like she'd done so many times for Itachi. Instantly, he relaxes, his arms falling to his side as he gasps for air.
The Hachibi splashes into the lake, spreading water everywhere, his screams never stopping. Taking advantage of the moment, she slaps her hands into the water again, coursing crystal into the water and wrapped it around the Hachibi into a tight hold.
With a single snap of her fingers, crystal encased the Bijuu lightning fast. Hachibi's tentacles flail at the growing crystal, one even cutting clean at is bashed against the sharp crystal and plunges towards the lake.
Unfortunately, Karin notices it too late, and the end of the tentacle, that was Amaterasu-ed, lights her on fire. "Shit!" Tamako lunges forward to rip the fabric off, but Jugo holds her back and shakes his head. "It's over for her! We need to go before we get caught up in it too!"
"No!" Sasuke roars, both eyes blazing red as blood drips from his eyes. The Amaterasu on Karin's back slowly dissipates and Sasuke grunts loudly, clutching his head and rubbing his eyes desperately in pain.
Tamako almost smiles, because Sasuke was there. Somewhere in there, he was still sane. That he still cared, a part of him that couldn't possibly let his own technique kill a comrade. There's a steady hum in the back of her head that sighs away, stress inching past her head and away. But it only lasts for a second.
Before Karin could completely sink into the water, Tamako throws an arm into the water and grabs her by the torso and shunshins back to the rest of Taka. Jugo had already grabbed Suigetsu's jelly form in his arms and Sasuke was still clutching his head, agony in his expression, almost as if he was withholding from tearing out his eyes.
"The flames are gone... what's going on, Sasuke!?" Jugo yells, his hold on Suigetsu even tighter now.
"Sasuke, douse the flames! We need him alive!" She shouts over the screams of B, and as if he granted her wishes, the flames finally recede and Killer B's unconscious body floats to the top.

She waves away the transparent windows, more worried about the possibility of Kumo Shinobi suddenly appearing with the Raikage who will definitely kick her party's weak asses. With half the party passed out and everyone else low on chakra, they needed to go.
Tamako glanced at the comatose body, she knew this wasn't the real Killer B, this chakra was too weak. Probably just a small portion of Hachibi's chakra but she acted like it anyway. With Karin over one shoulder, she hauls Killer B's "body" over the other. "We need to leave now, who knows when Kumo will start investigating the disturbance!"
The party was incredibly low on CP at this point, unable to have enough stamina to travel at ninja speed. Tamako herself was doing alright, so she could risk a mass shunshin to get back to safety. She really didn't want to stick around with a beaten up party in Kumo, especially if the Raikage was as fast as Minato.
She drops her two care packages on the floor (Karin and B) and gets into a low crouch.
"What are you doing now? Don't tell me you're tired."
She bares her teeth at him and snaps her mouth shut, horrified at what she'd done. She's the civil one. The adult of the group!
"Sorry." She meekly replies, "But no, I'm fine. I have enough chakra to shunshin us out of Kumo."
Their eyes widen and Sasuke shakes his head in disbelief, "That's at least two-hundred kilometers."
"I didn't say I would be conscious at the end of it. Just tuck me in bed, okay?"
She gathers the group and puts them in her personal space, there's a lot of things to body-flicker with so she closes her eyes and focuses on her beetle just on the outskirts of Kumo. Then, her chakra slowly wraps around her party members and B gently, prodding them first before seeping into their system at their consent. With both her hands in the rat symbol, she flickers them across the nation, just past the border.
Falling to her knees, she glances at the CP at a mere three.
