"Let's go. We need to get towards him, right?"
With a sudden burst of chakra, Tamako burst back into the room, her eyes roaming for Karin before shooting her chakra towards one of the Tsuchikage's guards who was in the mid-process of vomiting out doton to create a small golem that ate away at the White Zetsu spores. Instantaneously, the golem froze and crystalized, weighing down the guard to the ground.
"Karin!" Tamako shouted, her voice echoing, "Come!"
The red-head scampered over, almost tripping over a few upturned rocks as the Tsuchikage drenched the spores with his chakra and petrifying it, turning to dust. Tamako's fingers lunged down, her chakra following the movement and caught the scattered dust, crystallizing before it shot towards the Tsuchikage, nailing him to the wall.
The old Kage shrugged off the crystal, changing her crystal to flimsy rocks that disintegrated and flowed past his shoulders. His understanding of doton was much higher than her own understanding of shouton. Tamako narrowed her eyes, chakra snapping around Sasuke and Karin.
"I can't believe brats like you managed kill Deidara." He signed only twice, a transparent cube forming between his palms, "I have nothing against you two, but the world wants you dead." The cube grew even larger and teleported over to her body, encasing both Sasuke and Tamako.
"Particle Release! Run!" She pushed both Sasuke and Karin away from her, the two flying towards the ground as she threw her body in the opposite direction. Her upper-body passed the cube and before she could make it out completely, her vision shifted, inertia drowning her body and head spinning.
A cold mask rested on her cheek, a deep masculine voice whispered in her ear, "You managed to almost kill the Mizukage... I'm almost impressed."
[+10 Relationship with Obito!]
Tamako flinched, her fingers gripping onto Sasuke's arm even harder as she turned and kneeled down. "The Tsuchikage's Particle Release passed my calculations and I nearly got Sasuke killed. Forgive me." She bowed her head further, eyes trained at his feet. She noted the dark cave-like environment, full of geometric cubes that indicated this was a different plane of existence.
So this was Kamui.
"You escaped both the Raikage and Kazekage and nearly killed the Mizukage. You've succeeded my expectations." His voice carried a certain lightness, trained on Tamako's tight grip on the near chakra-exhausted Sasuke. "I commend your efforts, you truly do care for little Sasuke, don't you?" He chuckled, patting her shoulder. "Now then, let us wrap up our... discussion with the Gokage." He gestured at Sasuke, who was now passed out and Tamako quickly hoisted the unconscious Uchiha tighter around her shoulder and nodded fully.
His Sharingan flashed a bright red, his unique Mangekyou Sharingan spinning almost lazily and she felt the tug and warp, accepting the chakra to surround her form. Tobito opened the portal, the swirls getting large enough where Tamako could make out the Gokage Summit room.
"I turned them into dust."
"What!?" A's voiced bellowed loudly through the portal, "I was going to do that!"
Tobito chuckled, focusing chakra to his vocal cords. "You still... have a chance." The swirls got even larger and pushed the girl forward. She fell through, landing on the round table lightly with Tobito soon following. "My name is Uchiha Madara."
The Gokage stood at the opposite side of the room, their eyes roving over her and Sasuke's un-atomized forms and narrowing at "Madara".
"Tamako, Sasuke!" Karin whispered in relief, crouched just a few feet away and staring with tears in her eyes.
Tamako gave the Uzumaki a small nod but stared dead-straight at the Gokage audience silently.
"I have something I want to explain to you all. And once you comprehend it, I want to pose a question."
A's face pinched together and he growled out, "What is it?!"
Tobito tilted his head slightly to the side, "It's about my plan..." His three-tomoe Sharingan glinted red behind his orange swirl mask. "Project Tsuki no Me."
The Gokage talked amongst themselves, taking a headcount before A narrowed his eyes yet again, "The Hokage ran off."
Onoki floated into the air beside A, nodding, "Yes, because of Sasuke."
In a blink of an eye, A lunged forward and sent a fist out faster than Tamako could react, thankfully, Tobito ocular prowess was just as good, and sent a Kamui over everyone's body, A's fist and body flew right through their bodies.
At least Tobito was someone who at least valued the remnants of Akatsuki to some degree.
A's fist impacted the wall behind them, dusting bellowing and debris hitting her shoulder.
A shrugged himself out of the indent, arms raised defensively, "Nothing planned by the Akatsuki is going to be good. Who knows what you're up to?"
Tobito glanced at Tamako for a second, shooting out chakra that enveloped the two and sucking them into his dimension. She landed on the ground painfully with Sasuke falling limp right on her prone body. Tamako gave out a groan, shoving the unconscious boy from her.
"Damn Tobi just teleporting people left and right whenever he felt like it." She grumbled, placing both palms onto Sasuke's core before biting into yet another chakra capsule. There were still capsule remnants between her molars from the last dosage and Tamako at this point didn't care if she was abusing this god-given item. If she'll crash later, then she'll crash.
Right now, she needed both herself and Sasuke tiptop shape to fight against Danzo and his attendants, and it didn't help that one of them was the ANBU who killed Shisui. This fight will be tough.
[+4,500 CP!]
The instant adrenaline pumped her heart excitedly, and she increased the pace of her chakra circulation to ease the new chakra into her own pool, mingling it with her remaining reserves for an easier induction. It'll help her access it easier and decrease the painful crash later on. After swirling her circulation, she sighed, leaning on the cold dark ground.
Then out of nowhere, Karin popped out from the air, landing ungracefully on the ground with a squawk. She pushed her glasses up and stuttered out, "W-where the hell are we?"
"It's hard to explain and you don't need to concern yourself with it, it's nothing bad." Tamako offered before pointing at the comatose Uchiha, "Give him some of your chakra, I'll help you revive him
She bent down and lifted her arm, placing it by Sasuke's lips. Her brows furrowed, "What do I do? Sasuke isn't—"
Tamako grabbed Sasuke's jaw and opened it wide before clamping it down on Karin, his body glowed green as he took in her chakra, healing all the scrapes and bumps they've managed to get in their short journey as party crashers.
Tamako placed a palm on his core, pushing a light amount of chakra into his main tenketsu, stirring his chakra pathway system to circulate faster, accepting Karin's chakra as his own with a bit of mending. Karin's chakra potency was incredibly high and refined, it was almost the equivalent of a universal donor like blood type O. It's why her chakra ink was so potent.
Once Sasuke's skin stopped sizzling, Karin's chakra began digging deep into the internal wounds. It would be a while until he woke up.
Tamako shoved her hand into the air, fingers flickering through her inventory before pulling out an energy pill, popping it into her mouth
[Consumed Pill!]
[+10% CP Regen for 20 minutes!]
The effects weren't so good, but it was better than sitting around and doing nothing. She scooted closer to both Karin and Sasuke placing a palm on the boy's forehead before pulsing a wave of chakra to wake him up.
Sasuke grunted, eyes flicking slowly open.
"We're in Madara's Sharingan dimension." She spoke, her fingers brushing his wild hair from his face. He scowled.
With another few grunts, he managed to sit up on his own much to the displeasure of Tamako. Giving him another look, she handed him one of those Shinobi bars packed full of digestive enzymes, carbs and all the good stuff he desperately needed. "Eat, you need the energy. It's not everyday we fight four Kage's within a single hour."
Then, she sensed a presence behind her, it was Tobito.
"Let me out of here!" Sasuke growled, his eyes narrowing at Obito.
"No need to rush, I'm going to let you out now. I have a small present for you..." He trailed off, using his Sharingan to suck the trio and spit them out into the real world, only to see Danzo.
"Are you kidding me..?!" Tamako muttered out, they could've used the bit to get their energy up!
"Uchiha Sasuke." Danzo muttered.
"You." Tobito spoke out, glancing down at Karin. "Stay back. If you get involved, you'll die."
"Karin, listen to Madara-sama." Tamako raised her hand into the air, forming a tanto from the air particles and brandishing it closely, "Sasuke, let's do this."
"No, stay out of this." Sasuke's eyes narrowed down, "This is my revenge. This man—"
"Sasuke, contrary to the popular belief." She smiled with crescent eyes, "I can hate people too." She watched Danzo release the last bolt of the arm-contraption he had, watching it fall to the ground with a dink. "I think I'll go crazy if I don't kill him."
How many children did Danzo steal? How many did he abduct from the orphanages, how many were killed under his training and command? It was countless, thousands at best. This single stain of humanity, rivaling Orochimaru in monster. No, perhaps Danzo warped Orochimaru to become who he is today.
"Sasuke... Madara... I'll take both of your Sharingan." He unraveled the last bit of his arm, revealing the grotesque view of a pale white arm littered with Sharingans all around.
It was repulsing.
Some of the eyes blinked, others glanced side to side with yellow gunk at the creases, another had a single tear drop that dripped to the ground.
Sasuke's face pinched at the view, his Sharingan now blasting with chakra as his brows furrowed. "How did you get those eyes in your right arm?"
Tamako didn't even let the waste of space speak, cutting in with a grave voice. "If Konoha orchestrated the Massacre and with no one to even argue nor defend... Danzo must've plucked them while their bodies were still warm."
"She is correct." Danzo spoke as if he wasn't an abomination.
"Your solemn response upsets me." He closed his eyes and shook his head, "Forget it. I've decided to kill you."
Tamako took one step forward, her tanto glinting in the sun. "Danzo, do you remember the day you lured Uchiha Shisui, who was only fifteen, to the Naka River and stole his eye? Do you remember sending your Aburame ANBU to murder him?" She took another step forward, "I promised Itachi that if he died and you rose to power, that I'll kill you."
Sasuke's red-eyes flickered to her figure with muted surprise, trained at the back of her head.
Tamako pointed her tanto forward at his covered bandaged eye, "And I'll return it to his unmarked grave!"
Danzo sprung forward and launched his Sharingan-infested arm forward, slamming it into a crystal shield she made last second. On impact, the crystal enveloped his hand at a quick pace that Danzo quickly snapped and backflipped into the air.
Sasuke's incomplete Susanoo arm snapped forward, grabbing Danzo and clenched. "So this is the Susanoo."
"This is the power that you'll never be able to obtain, you fucking grave robber! Child killer!" Tamako's voice ran raw after shouting for so long, there was pure hate in her voice that she'd never spoken before. She ignored Karin's wide looks nor Sasuke's pure unadulterated hatred that she now shared too.
"I'll give you one more chance! Is it true that Uchiha Itachi eliminated my clan by the order of the Elders?"
Danzo was silent, and Sasuke raged. "I'm asking if it's true!" His Susanoo hand clenched even harder, breaking arms at the snap and Danzo's face pinched in pain before coughing blood. It trailed past his chin and dropped to the ground, seeping into his X cross scar.
"Answer me!"
"I... didn't think he was that kind of man. Damn Itachi, I see he revealed everything to you before he died. As I thought—"
Tamako couldn't hear it anymore, "Shut up! He was thirteen when you ordered him to kill his parents, his clan! You monster, if you'd let Shisui with his plan—"
Sasuke's Susanoo stuttered with Chakra, growing to an enormous rate as his chakra grew colder and colder. Muscles of chakra grew around the Susanoo, wrapping around the bone with skin soon covering the large mass.
Danzo continued to mutter out, "Self-sacrifice... that's what epitomizes a shinobi. Never seeing the light of day, toiling in the shadows. It is as it was in the past. That is what a true shinobi is."
The Shouton user scoffed, "Self-sacrifice? Tell me Danzo, what have you given up? What have you taken? Stealing children in the night, threatening allied clans to give up their children so you can amass your own private military." Her chakra simmered in her body at the man ahead of her. "Your jealousy knows no bounds! Stealing Kekkei Genkai that you did not have, taking them all for yourself!" Her mouth scowled, "Don't you dare try telling us what self-sacrifice is. You are a horrid person who dare's call themselves shinobi! You who dig up graves of your former mentor, if the first and second Hokage were alive, you would've been killed by treason."
Tamako huffed into the air, almost tired at the entire rant she had just spat out and watched the Susanoo clench one last time, crushing Danzo whole. Blood splattered out messily, dripping between the cracks of each finger.
Tamako knew better, she knew that was an illusion, a cheat of death at the sacrifice of an eye.
Izanagi.
She dashed forward, her tanto clenched between her fingers and slashed at the new projection of Danzo, cutting his head off. Sasuke's eyes widened and snapped his head back, watching the man's head fly into the air before it dissipated the same.
Danzo reappeared in the air, holding a kunai before plunging it down. It shattered on impact against the Susanoo, "Just as I thought, the Susanoo... the perfect thing to protect yourself."
The Susanoo fist rained down, slamming into the ground and crushing Danzo once again, but his chakra reappeared onto a large pillar. "The power in its attack is as expected."
"Don't you dare act like you are window shopping, Danzo!" Tamako shouted, hands clasped together. The Susanoo slammed its arm through the pillar, destroying it. Danzo hopped onto a stray piece, using it to funnel himself closer to the ground and landed softly.
Tamako slammed her hands onto the ground, crystal spikes skewering the ground as Danzo leapt high into the air, the Susanoo's fist swinging in fast pursuit. With a twirl in the air, he barely managed to dodge the incoming fist before his entire body combusted in black flames. His screams echoed in the valley as he was burnt alive and landed onto the bridge with a thud.
"Sasuke, don't use so much Chakra..!"
"Shut up! Don't tell me what to do! I need— I need to—"
Tamako lunged forward and clapped her hands together, forming a crystal barrier between Sasuke. "Fuuton: Air Bullet!" He puckered his lips and spat out highly condensed air that chipped away at her barrier.
Danzo huffed, "Brothers with the same ability, yet what your eyes perceive is so different. The truth about Itachi isn't important to you, you direct your hatred at whomever you can lay your hands on." He raised his Sharingan arm with a smirk, "You make the sacrifice of the Uchiha Clan meaningless."
"You have no right to talk about the Uchiha!"
Sasuke sprang forward with his hand grasp into his chokuto and Danzo puckered his lips for another jutus, "Fuuton: Vacumn Blast!" The whip of air sliced through rock cleanly and with a simple leap. Danzo then focused the same jutsu onto the ground, creating a puff of dust that ballooned into the air and covered the battle arena with smoke.
She narrowed her eyes, pushing her chakra onto the ground to sense any movement. Instantly, a shuriken doused with fuuton came out towards her, cutting through the particles of dust. Just barely, she forced her body into a back-bend, strands of her hair cut.
With high precision and accuracy, Sasuke dipped his chokuto through the hole of the shuriken and turned his body, throwing the ninja weapon right back at Danzo. The man managed to deflect it, and the two shuriken ricochet off each other, slicing through a pillar and rained down debris.
Forced to dodge, Danzo sprung to the side and grabbed Sasuke by the throat with his Sharingan arm. Without a moment of hesitation, Tamako's chakra sprung forward, the ground was absolutely saturated with her chakra and she could now create any jutsu faster than a blink.
The crystal sliced through the ground and sliced off Danzo's arm, another bound his feet to the ground and Sasuke's chokuto ran straight through the man's body. She watched the lone arm on the ground, the area bloody and a single Sharingan closing. Then, it disappeared and Danzo reappeared on the pillar above her.
"The Shouton is as quick and deadly as ever. After I'm done with Sasuke, I'll be taking you."
Tamako narrowed her eyes and sneered, "Is that so? Danzo I'm afraid that you've dallied too long." She laughed into the air as crystal swam up her arms and fingers, encasing them in sharp crystal in a claw-like manner. "I have to say, while that arm of yours is abominable, it does let me savor each and every death. Your last one will be the sweetest." She clenched her claws and admired them.
She sprung forward with Sasuke beside her, the two jumped to the opposite pillar before reaching forward with their weapons towards Danzo's body. Right before she could claw his heart out, Sasuke froze and Danzo grabbed her by the throat. He dangled her in the air.
There were seals all around Sasuke's body, halting his movement and soon, they enveloped Tamako as well. She was too careless, she forgot about Danzo's sealing capabilities!
"I'll first take Sasuke's eyes right in front of you." He spoke, reaching towards the Uchiha.
"Stay away from him!" She shouted, pushing her chakra into the ground and shrieking at the miniscule amount pulsing from her heel. "Don't you dare..!"
Karin sprung up from the pillar, her chakra chains flailing around sporadically, slashing at the pillar and flinging Danzo across the area. She landed in a low crouch and dashed towards the two while whipping out a scroll and a brush, frantically eyeing the curse seals marks on their bodies and pulsating chakra into the scroll. "Fūin!" She shouted, slamming a palm at the center of the scroll. The ink slithered out towards their bodies, coating over the stasis seal that Danzo had formed before retracting back, taking the seal alongside it.
She sighed when she felt her motor abilities returned, her chakra flowing one again and nodded at Karin. "Thank you, Karin."
Sasuke's chakra grew even darker and more potent, now steaming out of him in visible waves. Tamako could see the miniscule twitches from his eyes as he formed the Susanoo, muscles and skin growing before enveloping over the skull and creating a crossbow in the Susanoo's hands. It nocked back the arrow and aimed at Danzo's landing.
Then wood grew from Danzo's arm, creating a tree rivaling the size of the pillar nearby and altered the path of the arrow to the side, just barely missing Danzo.
Tamako felt her eyes heavy and she shook her head. No, don't crash now!
She knew it was only a matter of time, she'd taken too many supplementary sources of chakra
"He has Hashirama cells to use Mokuton, that's how he's able to utilize those Sharingan." She said from a crouch, "They've been closing every time we kill him."
Sasuke's eyes roamed over Danzo's arm, using the precise and clear image that only the Sharingan and Byakugan could provide at this distance and grunted in mutual understanding.
Good.
They silently stood up in unison and Sasuke shot another arrow, piercing through Danzo and Tamako bolted back to the bridge. She shoved her hand into the pouch, retrieving the highly dense and chakra bound sphere and threw it forward. On impact, it spread hundreds of bullets in the air, piercing through Danzo. His form reappeared slightly to the side and Sasuke unleashed another arrow, completely piercing through the man's torso.
Good, as long as they kept this up, they'll finish this battle quickly.
This time, Danzo was ready and quickly formed three hand-signs and spat out a ball of fuuton, slamming into Sasuke's Susanoo. Tamako didn't waste a second and clapped her hands, a crystal dragon forming beneath and she flew high into the air. Taking a page out of Deidara, she rained down crystal spheres that exploded on impact, crystal devoured the field in sharp and unnatural forms, piercing the bridge and Danzo, her dragon falling from the sky in a poetic sense of justice. There was nowhere he could run.
Danzo must've concluded the same as he summoned a massive tiger elephant that roared in the air. It opened its mouth and began to suck in air, its pressure and power alone forced the Shouton User to glue herself to the ground with crystal and bring her arms to shield her face.
Shit, where did Danzo go!?
She couldn't move in this position or she'll get sucked up, there was so much chakra in the air, thanks to the elephant summon, that she couldn't pinpoint Danzo at all. She raised her arms closer to her face, crystal forming around her body.
Before she could reach her chest, she felt a piercing pain.
She looked down.
There was an entire hand through her stomach, all bloody and pale. Four eyes blinked back at her like some sick joke.
"That's one."
The hand tugged out her body roughly, her blood spraying at the motion and she clutched her stomach, trying to keep all the blood in her.
This was a good run, she managed to get this far without reloading once yet. She must be getting better at this whole shinobi thing.
Danzo slammed his foot against her back, sending her sprawled on the floor and smearing her blood across her back. The blood pooled around her in a thick metal haze and she watched her health tic by rapidly. "Don't worry, I still have use of you, alive." He stomped on her body one last time, and she felt a seal course through her body in stasis.
She could only move her eyes and blink. Not even system commands abided by her.
"Tamako!"
She couldn't even glance up at who called her name with such anger.
There was a blast to the left of her, and Danzo's weight lifted from her back.
Tamako breathed in deeply, feeling for her chakra that moved sluggishly. She pooled the miniscule amount of chakra she could control at the given time, healing herself and stitching the internal wounds. Her HP level ceased to tick any longer and stayed stagnant.
She cursed, she only just had enough chakra to even out what she was losing. She needed to get up. Danzo had only two more Izanagi's left, and she needs to retrieve Shisui's eye before he suicide jutsus!
"Tamako...!"
Her vision went black for a second and barely grasped onto red. Not her blood, but something much softer.
The Uzumaki kneeled at her side, tears in her eyes again. "How many times will you cry, Karin?" Tamako managed to mutter out, smiling with bloody teeth.
"I don't want to do this anymore..!" Karin sniffled, painting onto a scroll as Sasuke and Danzo lunged towards each other with swords out.
Her eyes widen before snapping them to Karin, "Quickly, before Danzo kills Sasuke!" The girl's eyes welled even further and she slammed her palm onto the scroll, one again eating up the curse seals on her skin. "Please Karin, I'll never ask you this again but, please give me chakra."
Tamako felt like her eyes were going to fall off her sockets, her reserves were dangerously low and the crash would be coming in the next few minutes. She needed Karin's chakra to revitalize her.
Karin knew how much Tamako disliked her ability, not out of hate of her nor the Uzumaki, but what they symbolized. Over the years, Karin had slowly gotten over the trauma she induced over at the Hidden Grass, and she'd learned to sparingly use this power. So when Tamako, who looked at her scars and promised never cause her another, asked her, she nodded once heavily and brought her arm close.
Tamako bit down lightly, only taking the bare minimum and filtered the chakra into her system and shot forward, her hands gripping onto the ground to form a dome around Sasuke, Danzo and herself. She heaved herself forward and gripped Danzo who was in mid-pierce of Sasuke's chidori chokuto.
He smirked, "You fools, it's over." Then, he coughed out blood, splattering it across Tamako's cheeks.
Her palm grew crystal around Danzo's body and trapped the man where he stood and ripped off the bandages by his eyes and pried them open. "Do you see now, Danzo? This is what Shisui saw." Her fingers plunged forward and gripped the eyeball. "Remember this feeling." And pulled. "This will be the last thing you feel." The Sharingan came out with its nerves attached, all slimy and squishy.
She didn't have any means to store the eye, so she placed it in her inventory where it wouldn't deteriorate. To the group, it looked like the eyeball just disappeared between her fingers. Before she could taunt him one last time, Sasuke fell back.
Her eyes widened and caught the boy before he could land head first. "Shit, Karin!" Her voice was hoarse at this point. She created a small opening in the dome and the red-head ran in, raising her arm once again.
Oh, she hated using Karin like this.
Sasuke bit down harshly and Danzo's arm shook horrendously, chakra pouring out. Then, it exploded.
The tree smacked into her crystal dome and shattered it. It continued to grow at a rate where it was obvious that Danzo had lost all control due to his near-death state. He gripped the base of the tree connected to his body and tugged, ripping it off before landing helpless onto the ground. He panted heavily and crouched low to the ground.
"What a persistent guy!"
At Karin's words, Sasuke dove forward to the left, Tamako to the right. They brandished their signature element ready to finish it once and for all.
Tamako's eyes blackened and she tripped, her eyes flickering and barely managed to dodge Danzo's grab with a back bend. She whipped out a crystal whip and lashed out, taking out his right torso but not enough to completely finish him.
Danzo ducked around and bypassed her, grabbing Karin from behind into a choke-hold.
"No." She whispered, falling to her knees in chakra-exhaustion.
"You used your visual prowess too much, didn't you? And you're out of chakra." He spoke, regarding the two with sweat dripping down his face. His arm wrapped around Karin's throat harder and she cried out.
"Sasuke..! Tamako... help!"
The Chidori chirped menacingly, the air vibrating at the current of Sasuke's chakra leaving the atmosphere electrified. She could almost taste the chakra.
"Isn't it ironic that you, who glorified self-sacrifice, would take a hostage?"
Karin struggled under Danzo's hold, she must be out of chakra too, for healing so much. "It's not that I consider my life precious, but for the sake of Konoha, for the sake of the Shinobi World... I cannot afford to die."
"Sake of Konoha? You mean the sake of your idea of Konoha. Your idea of the Shinobi World, with you at the top." Tamako dry-heaved at the ground, her body now rejecting the chakra capsules and soldier pills she downed like water the past two hours.
"This woman." Danzo pushed his arm against Karin's trachea and pressed her body to his own, "Will be sacrificed for the cause."
The Shouton User gripped at the ground, fingers digging into the dirt and ruining her nails. Oh god, Karin.
"Sa..suke. Save me!"
"Don't move... Karin."
Tamako's face shot up, her face warping into anguish. "No, Sasuke. Don't!"
Karin smiled.
Sasuke arm rose, his chidori electrizing the atoms and speared towards both Karin and Danzo. His Chidori Stream pierced through the two in the heart. Tamako silently screamed, voice too raw to speak, energy too low to lunge forward.
"Nii-san... that's one down.
Karin coughed blood. "... to you..?"
Blood dripped down Sasuke's left eye, "Karin. Since you managed to get taken hostage, you're nothing but a burden to me." He stopped flowing chakra to his stream and his arm fell to his side.
Danzo let go of his hold of Karin, and she fell face first unceremoniously to the ground, her glasses flying off. "Karin!" Tamako finally voiced out.
Then Danzo fled, blood dripping down his clothes and staining his shoes. Each step forward left a blood trail that Sasuke all too gleefully followed, tracking him like a predator. Tamako crawled towards the prone Uzumaki and her fingers spluttered green for a second before dying out.
"Shit, Karin!"
She thought she taught Sasuke camaraderie. Love, honor, commitment and loyalty. Couldn't he see? Suigetsu, Jugo, Karin, even her, they were loyal to Sasuke. They loved him.
So why couldn't she help him? Change him?
Tears dripped down her cheek as they landed on the red-hair, "Karin, I-i'm sorry..!" She pressed her hands against the wound, crystal slowly edging to close the gap to stop the flowing blood and put pressure. "Karin, stay with me! Do you hear me!?"
Should she reload her save? Danzo will die soon, she retrieved Shisui's eye, she checked off everything.
But what about Karin?
Karin was too sweet to die. She was only a girl, just shy of seventeen. Her only sin was the love drowned boy. Karin was another failure.
Tamako felt her heart, it beat too fast and blood spurted out of her mouth. She overdid the chakra supplements.
Her body was now rejecting itself, too much foreign chakra in her that it was rejecting her own chakra. She fell to the ground beside Karin, and circulated her chakra. Heat rose in her chest and a mix of bile and blood spewed out. Her heart pounded faster, trying to produce more chakra to even out the signatures within her, she felt so warm and with the sun beating against her dark Akatsuki cloak, she felt like she was going to melt and burn.
Her fingers slowly clasped together into a rat symbol and dispersed the remaining crystal insects in the area and reabsorbed a fraction of it. Her technique wasn't so good nor was her body but she couldn't afford to be sloppy. She expended the supplementary chakra into the air like a net, catching the chakra that filled the air and siphoning it, spending the foreign and taking in her own.
She felt her temperature finally reduce, but her chakra coils were protesting, her system nearly shutting down.
She'd overdone it.
Tamako stood on her two feet and walked over to Tobito and Sasuke. Danzo dead at their feet.

"I'll be taking Shisui's eye now." Tobito activated his Kamui and sucked Danzo's body into the other dimension before glancing at the two.
Tamako bit her mouth and glanced at Sasuke who didn't react. Not a single word nor flinch.
"Sasuke, you should take Tamako and head to a hideout. Your eyes are losing their light, what can you do by yourself now?" He narrowed his single eye, "Patience is necessary to reach one's goal." Tobito tilted his head slightly to the side, "Sasuke, I'm going to give you a bit of advice. " Then he cracked his neck before glancing at Karin's direction. "That woman, if you don't need her, make sure you finish her off. She knows too much about us."
"Us? When did I join you?"
"Heh." Obito chucked, shaking his head, "Maa, nevermind. We'll meet again." Then Kamui-ed away.
Tamako created another save, she wasn't sure if Tobito would immediately come back to question her and Sasuke about the eye or he'll chalk it up to Danzo's reverse seal destroying said eye. She couldn't take any chances.
"Are you really going to kill Karin?" Tamako asked quietly, jumping across the bridge beside the Uchiha with low eyes.
He spoke no words and calmly walked towards Karin's body, then stopped by her body. "Will you stop me?"
She bit her mouth. "No."
His hand enveloped in raiton, his chidori chirping beside the birds that had finally returned after the loud battle.
Sasuke was in better condition than her, he could actually mold chakra whereas she couldn't.
He laughed, "Of course you wouldn't. You said you'll be there, no matter what."
It was so rare for Sasuke to laugh, usually she would savor this moment to look back on warmly, but the expression on Sasuke's face put a deep stain in her mind. He knew she wouldn't jeopardize him, no matter what.
Sasuke was a bastard.
He raised his Chidori fist and Karin closed her eyes in fear.
"Sasuke-kun!"
She snapped her head at the feminine voice.
It was Sakura.
Oh thank god.
She was across the bridge, wearing a white cloak with red accent marks and panting. She must've ran for hours.
"It's you, Sakura." He let the Chidori fizz out and turned his body towards her. "What are you doing here?"
"Sasuke! Is it true, did you attack the Gokage?"
"And what if I did?"
"That man, the Hokage... Danzo!" She shouted, taking a step forward, "He's usurped Tsunade-shishou's authority and placed himself as Hokage." She shook her head and took another step forward. "He... he isn't a good man. I've seen classified records as the Hokage's apprentice... I've deserted Konoha. I can't follow a village with him as the ruler."
"You're in luck." Tamako finally spoke, gaining the attention of the Pinkette. "We just killed Danzo."
Her eyes widened, taking in their figures and roaming their injuries and disheveled appearance. "T-then... I still— I regret not following you that day, Sasuke-kun! I'll follow you, do whatever you ask!"
By the sweat that trailed down Sakura's forehead, Tamako could easily tell she was lying. Sakura, trained in the arts of medical ninjutsu and taijutsu, couldn't tell a lie to save a life. She could tell Sasuke noticed too, and he was merely playing with her.
"I'm going to destroy Konoha! That's what I want."
Sasuke was almost becoming more and more deranged. He could only repeat the same few words that tired her out. When would Sasuke return? "Will you really be able to betray Konoha for me?"
"Sakura." Tamako's voice, clear unlike Sasuke's, reached the girl. "Sasuke isn't the same anymore. You should think carefully."
There is no point in tricking him, if you want to kill him, you must attack him.
She understood why Sakura was here, to finish her former-teammate off before he could do any more worse. He's already attacked all five kage, aligned himself with the Akatsuki, he was, by definition, the worst criminal in history. There is no other rouge-nin that's attacked all five Kage, and killed one, and lived to tell the tale.
In all honesty, Tamako wasn't sure how she was going to fare in the Bingo Books either, she almost killed the Mizukage.
"I understand. If you asked me, I will."
Sasuke tilted his head towards Karin, "Then prove it. Finish her off, then I'll believe you."
The Pinkette pulled out a kunai beneath her cloak and stepped closer with a wide look, "Who is she?"
"A member of the group, Taka, which I founded. As you can see, she's useless." He paused as if a thought appeared to him, "Sakura, you're an Iryō Ninja, right? You can replace her, this will work out just fine."
Sakura did not speak back, and instead walked forward calmly and stopped in front of Karin, pausing. "What's wrong, Sakura? Can't do it?" He looped around her as the kunai in her hand trembled.
"Stop it, Sasuke." Karin groaned out, her eyes trailed on his Chidori.
Sakura bit her lip and slammed a foot to the ground, uprooting a chunk of the ground to block Sasuke's Chidori from her. With a fist pulled back, she punched through the blockage and right into Sasuke, sending him flying across the valley.
He gingerly held his broken, twisted up arm and shouted, "Tamako, get her!"
Sakura pivoted on her feet and slammed a heel to the ground, completely shattering that half of the bridge and Tamako quickly grabbed the Uzumaki and used the chunks of earth to run away, using a miniscule amount of chakra to boost her jumps and landed on the other side of the bridge. "I can't use chakra! We need to leave!"
"Leave?" He laughed out, his Susanoo growing into an incomplete one, "I'll never run away, not anymore!"
Tamako propped the girl beside a tree, making sure her crystal sealed up the bleeding before giving her a massive engulfing hug. "I'm sorry Karin. Konoha will take care of you. Sasuke isn't—he's lost." She gave her one last crescent grin, "I'll scold him for you." Then she leaped off and landed beside the Uchiha, raising her voice while shaking her head, "Sasuke, you don't understand— Sakura's not the little girl you left behind, she's surpassed the Godaime Hokage!"
"So?" He laughed even louder this time, "I'll just take them all down! I'll destroy Konoha!"
