Bell currently sat across from Peter in his living room. His hands were a little shaky as he drank the glass of water Peter gave him.

The reason why he was so nervous was because Peter had just told him everything.

Bell put his glass back down and spoke. "So you were bitten by a radioactive spider when you were 16, and for the past 15 years, you've been Spider-Man."

He put his hands up to his head. "Holy shit, I've been living next door to Spider-Man most of my life."

Peter, not really knowing how to deal with this, tried to calm Bell down. "I know it's a lot to take in, but can you take a deep breath for me."

Bell did as Peter asked and felt his nerves calm down a little. "So let me get this straight. You were bitten by a radioactive spider and got the powers of a spider. Now you're telling me I was also bitten by a radioactive spider, and I also have the powers of a spider."

Peter nodded his head. "That's correct."

Bell felt his heart rate spike as his knee started bouncing up and down. "Why the hell was there a radioactive spider in the neighborhood in the first place."

Peter put his hands up to calm Bell. "I can explain that, but I need you to take another deep breath and calm down.

Bell did as Peter asked, once again feeling himself calm down.

Seeing Bell calming down, Peter took a seat across from him. "The reason why you were bitten by a radioactive spider was because I made it."

Bell's eyes widened in shock but was stopped from saying something by Peter talking over him. "The reason why I made it was because I was gonna have someone I trusted be bit by the spider. I need a successor, someone to take up the Spider-Man mantle, and it doesn't have to be you. This was unjustly forced upon you, so I won't ask you to be my successor."

Bell took another deep breath and tried to stop his leg from bouncing up and down. "So you recreated the spider that bit you in order to make a successor, and it broke out of containment and bit me by accident."

Peter nodded his head. "Yes, however, there is a way to get rid of your spider powers. I made a serum a long time ago when I thought of giving up being Spider-Man. Obviously, I didn't, but I still remember the formula. I can make the serum again if you want."

Bell sat there for a moment and thought. All of this could go away, and all he'd have to do is keep Peters secret. But did he really want to give up this power? In all manner of thinking, Bell was pursuing a career in a field to make life better for people. Couldn't he do the same, if not more, as Spider-Man?

But if he became Spider-Man, he would have to lie to everyone, even his parents. Bell doesn't like being a liar for two reasons. He's a bad liar, but he also sees no reason why a person should lie. But if he became Spider-Man, he'd be living a lie. But he could also help a lot of people.

Clenching his fist Bell made his decision. "I'll do it. I can help people this way. A lot more people than just studying at school."

Peter gave a small smile. "Are you sure? Because if you choose to go down this path, your life will change forever."

Bell looked Peter dead in the eyes, full of determination. "I'm sure."

Peters's smile grew wider. "Alright, kid. The first order of business is getting you a suit, I won't teach you how to fight since I know you did kickboxing for nine years, but I will teach you how to be a Spider-Man."

Peter stood up from his seat, and Bell did as well. Peter led Bell down a set of stairs into a basement. It was pitch black until Peter said a code phrase, and the lights turned on.

Bell's eyes widened in shock as he saw the multiple Spider-Man suits strewn about in glass cases. There were also tables with gadgets on them as well as gadgets that were only half-made, and some were just parts. There was also a first aid kit and some lab equipment for whatever reason.

"So this like your spider cave or something," Bell joked.

Peter laughed as he picked up a random spare part. "I guess you could say that. Now rule number one of being Spider-Man, always be on your toes."

Peter then threw the spare part at Bell at lightning speed. Bell didn't know what happened, but he knew he had caught the part easily. He felt as if some kind of danger sense told him to catch, like his body reacted on its own.

Bell looked at the part in confusion. How did he catch it without even looking? He looked back at Peter, who had a cheeky grin on his face.

"That's called your spider-sense. It alerts you to danger so you can do the obvious thing and avoid it," Peter explained.

Bell nodded his head, soaking up the information Peter was giving him. Peter then held up two fingers. "Rule number two of being Spider-Man. Know first aid. That'll save your life in a fight."

Bell nodded his head in agreement. "Good thing my moms, a nurse, taught me a few ways to spot and treat an injury."

Peter clapped his hands together. "Alright, third rule. You gotta look snazzy, dress to impress, ya know."

Peter then turned around and did a small flourish to a sewing machine. "Which is why we're gonna make you a suit."

Bell's eyes widened in excitement. "No way, really" he got closer to the sewing machine as Peter's hand shot towards Bell.

Bell didn't react in time but didn't have to this time as a small hexagonal shape appeared in front of him and blocked the attack.

Peter scratched his head in confusion. "Well, that's odd."

Bell tilted his head in confusion. "Why can you not do that."

Peter shook his head. "No, I can't. Hmm looks like you might have some abilities I don't. We can do testing later, but right now, we're building the suit."

Peter handed Bell a tablet with materials he could choose from. "Now, just choose what material you want. How you want it styled, and Mayday will do the rest."

"Mayday," Bell questioned as he began creating his suit.

Peter snapped his fingers. "Right, she hasn't spoken yet. Hey Mayday, give a few words to Bell over here."

"Greetings Bell. I look forward to working with you," a female's voice said.

Bell's head shot around the basement but saw no one. "Uh, what the hell was that"

Peter stifled a laugh before answering. "An AI helps a lot with day-to-day things as well as helping me stop criminals."

Peter then snapped his fingers and pointed at Bell. "Oh, I need to get you into the database. Mayday give Bell authorization code name spider-boy."

Bell shot Peter a glare. "Don't you dare"

Peter laughed before speaking again. "Alright, alright. Mayday give Bell code name successor."

"Affirmative. Welcome, Bell Cranel. Code name successor"

Bell looked at Peter with a nervous smile. "Oh, you were serious about me being your successor."

Peter quirked an eyebrow. "What ya think I was joking."

Bell shook his head. "No, I just didn't expect any of this to happen."

Peter once again reassured him that Bell would be his successor and that he would make sure he'd be a good Spider-Man. A few minutes later, Bell had finished customizing his suit, and now all he had to do was wait.

Peter and Bell both took a seat next to each other as they waited for his suit to be finished. As they were waiting, Bell had a question.

"So how am I gonna train with you after school? I mean, my parents might get suspicious of where I am during the afternoon," Bell asked.

Peter gave an affirmative nod. "Already thought of a solution. I can give you a paid internship at Parker Industries. That way, you'll be at work, so to speak."

Bell turned his head to look at Peter. "Wait, are you serious? A job at your company, one of the biggest in the entire world."

Peter laughed. "Yes, I'm serious. Besides, with how your dad talks about you, I know how smart you are. I also know how smart your friend Welf is. If he's ever in need of a job, just tell him to give me a call."

Bell nodded his head feeling somewhat happy that his best friend could get a job at Parker Industries. But another question came to Bell's mind.

"So I'm guessing I can't tell anyone about my identity," Bell asked.

Peter shook his head. "You can. I mean, MJ's known I've been Spider-Man since we were 17. Just when you feel the time is right, tell them."

Bell looked at the ground and thought for a minute. Should he tell his parents right away or wait? The upside to his parents knowing is they know what he's actually doing if he needs to run and be a hero. But knowing his mother, she would worry for him.

Bell's dad also doesn't agree with the way Spider-Man does things. How would he react if he found out his son was one? Weighing his pros and cons, Bell made the decision not to tell his parents. At least not yet. He wanted some experience under his belt first.

Hearing a ding from the sewing machine Bell and Peter looked at Bell's first suit. The front top was red, with the bottom half being black. The tops of his gloves were red, while his palms were black. He had two black lines going down from his palms to his feet, and on his chest was a golden spider sigil.

Peter gestured for Bell to hold on with his finger. "One more thing before you put it on."

Peter pulled a tube out of his pocket containing some weird type of machinery. He opened the small tube and poured the contents on Bell's suit. Bell was about to protest to this when he saw the weird components sink into his suit and vanish.

"Uh, what did you do?" Bell questioned.

Peter smiled as he put the small tube back in his pockets. "Nanobots Bell. It'll make it easier for you to carry your suit around and use it in case of an emergency. Useful huh"

Bell's eyes had stars in them at the mention of nanobots. "No way, really! Holy shit, that's cool."

Bell was now like a giddy child waiting to open his presents on Christmas. Peter chucked and tossed him the suit and told him to try it on. The suit put itself on Bell, thanks to the nanobots, and molded itself over Bell's clothes. Once the mask went on, he heard Mayday's voice.

"Welcome, Bell. I do have to say this suit looks nice on you."

Bell blushed a little in embarrassment. "Oh, uh, thank you, Mayday."

"Alright, kid, time for some web shooter practice," Peter called out. A few targets shot up, and Peter told Bell to shoot them. Bell aimed his web shooters at the targets. He pressed his middle finger and ring finger on the button and completely missed his shot.

"Relax, Bell, don't tense up so much. Also, a quick word of advice use your wrist, not your arm," Peter coached.

Bell took a deep breath and focused on his target once again. With a flick of his wrist, a web shot out from his web shooter and smacked the target right in the chest.

"Heh heh heh, that's awesome," Bell chuckled.

Peter looked at Bell with a smile on his face, memories of when he first started out as Spider-Man flashing through his mind. For the next couple of hours, Peter trained Bell a little on his powers. Like how to use his web shooters. How to climb on walls and how to better use his spider-sense. One thing the two could not figure out, however, was that weird forcefield Bell had.

Seeing as it was getting late, the two called it a day, with Bell sneaking back into his house by climbing up the wall and through his window.

He plopped down on his bed, feeling a smile spread across his face. Him getting bit by that radioactive spider might have been a mistake. But it was a mistake he was willing to accept if it meant helping people. Oh, how life would try and make him regret his choice.

Well, Bell hasn't taken up the mantle yet, but he has a badass code name. Now I'm not one for training arcs or chapters, as I find them boring. So the way training will be done is through flashbacks.

Also, now that Bell is Peter's protege, it's time for some crime stopping duo moments, and who knows, maybe they'll be more spider people, and maybe some classic villains will appear.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed later.
