They panted heavily as they tried to run away from the yelling people chasing behind them. They were desperate, they didn't want to go back to the scary people! Tears escaped their eyes as they sped up. They knew they wouldn't be able to continue for long, their legs were already numb and the cuts on their arms had started bleeding.

'Please! Akito doesn't want to go back! They don't want to go back to the scary people!' They cried desperately as they chased after the light that seemed to be getting further and further away.

Suddenly all they could see was darkness and they sat up, breathing heavily. The child looked around the room they were in.

"Hime-sama?" They called out. There was no response and the small child curled up into a ball, silently crying as memories of their past flashed in their mind. "Please Hime-sama! Come back to Akito soon.."

"Alright brat, now that you've gotten into the base you need to find the archives or a file room- something!"

"She knows what to do Swirl-san. We spent all day going over the plan."

"Pretty boy! I was just making sure!"

Sakura ignored the argument going on on the other end of her ear piece as she crept silently through the empty hallways. Shisui had cast a genjutsu over the area to mask anything that might reveal their positions. He was keeping an eye on the guards so that when Sakura needed to exit the base he would be able to tell her when the coast was clear.

It had turned out the 'Underground base' wasn't really underground. It was just a building behind a rocky mountain with a genjutsu cast over it. The genjutsu was reasonably strong however they had managed to dismiss it and reveal the building.

The rosette was supposed to locate a room that had something that indicated whatever this organisation was up to like a file room that had all of their research or whatever. So far all she had found was a maze of empty hallways and corridors. The walls were painted white and the floor was made out of wooden planks.

Nozomi-san was currently trying to find a way into the building however she hadn't made it inside yet.

"Just keep looking for something brat. Speak up when you do." The woman commanded. Sakura sighed as she continued walking around, searching for a door that would lead her away from the maze she had been stuck in for what felt like forever.

It became darker and darker the further she wandered and the young female stopped when she came to a dead end. She reached up to her ear piece, pressing the button that would allow her two teammates to hear her talk.

"I have come to a dead end." She listened for a response and frowned when all she heard was a static sound. "Guys?" She bit her lip when no one responded.

'Something must be affecting the connection..' The pinkette sighed in annoyance before examining the wall in front of her. She touched the wall, its surface was cool and hard. She put her ear against the wall before knocking on it. Her brows furrowed when a dull knock bounced of the walls behind her. She stepped away from the wall. 'Maybe I can try a different route?'

She wandered off, walking back into the maze of hallways. She made a right turn and continued wandering around. After about ten more minutes of walking she reached another dead end. She inhaled deeply before turning around and entering the maze again.

After coming to a stop in front of the seventh dead end, Sakura sat down and tried to figure out what to do. It was obvious that walking around, trying to find a way out of the maze wasn't working since she kept ending up at dead ends but what else could she do?

She reached up and pressed the button on her ear piece.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" She waited a moment and sighed when the same static sound from before arose. She closed her eyes, it was dark in the maze and she was exhausted. It didn't help that she hadn't gotten much sleep recently since she had been busy watching over the clearing with the Uchiha.

"Emerald-san?" Sakura perked up at the sound of Shisui's voice.

"Uchiha-san? Can you hear me?" There was a moment of static and the rosette nearly thought she had been hallucinating when the male's voice interupted the horrible noise.

"-eah, I've been trying to reach you and Swirl-san but it seems like something is affecting our ear pieces."

"I know. Erm.. I need some help." The static sounded again and it was several minutes until the pinkette heard Shisui's voice.

"-reful." Thanks to the static Sakura was only able to hear half of the last word the Uchiha said.

"Mm.. I'm afraid I did not catch that Uchiha-san.." The static sounded up again however the young girl could still hear Shisui's voice.

"Oh, ok.. you said you need help.. what with?"

"Well.. you probably won't really be able to help but I've somehow ended up in a maze and I keep running into dead ends." It was really quite irritating, how was she meant to do what she needed to when she was stuck? She could run into an enemy at any moment!

"Ok, just try to-" Sakura couldn't hear the rest of the Uchiha's words for the static rose in volume. She was now alone.

Sighing, the young girl stood and rubbed her eyes. Just as she was about to turn around she was knocked out from behind and all she could see was a black void.
