Trevor came back in to the squad room when everyone else had joined them. Olivia's face had streaks of tears down her cheeks even though she wasn't crying at the moment. "Anything?"

"A man came into the house," Olivia said quickly. "Er, he didn't speak so we don't have an accent but he is white and their running the face recognition right now."

"How is she?"

"She was sleeping when they took her," Olivia said. "Which I suppose is better than her screaming. Taru running the number plate of the van they put her in."

"Don't panic," Trevor said. Whether he was talking to himself or her, he didn't know.

"Trevor, I am so far past panic its unreal," she said. "Telling me not to panic at this point is the same thing as telling me not to breathe, do you understand me?"

"Yes," he said. "I want her back too," he gently reminded her.

"I know," she said. "I feel like my hearts been ripped out." He squeezed her hand gently and then they both jumped as a desk phone rang. Olivia picked it up after Taru nodded as thee started to run a trace.

"Yes?"

"Do I have your attention yet?" Olivia knew that voice. She couldn't quite place it, but it definitely rang a bell in the back of her mind.

"Where's our daughter?" Olivia said while her brain tried to place the mans voice.

"She's safe," he said. "For now.

"I promise you, if you hurt one hair on her head, I will not stop until I have found you and put a bullet through your brain. And that's the fast death if I'm feeling generous."

"Oh, so I have got your attention. Good," the man said.

"What do you want?" Olivia said plainly.

"Getting straight to the point, I like that," he said while Olivia suddenly realised who it was. "I want Trevor to dump you and leave you and leave New York forever and he can take your brat of a son with you as well"

"I want proof you haven't harmed her first," Olivia said.

"Check your email account. I'll call again in thirty minutes." There was nothing left on the line except the dull disconnected sound.

"Taru?"

"North New York. Couldn't get closer."

"Keep working on it."

"Who is it Olivia?" Trevor asked. "I know you recognise that voice, I can tell."

"Its Ed Tucker."

"Oh dear God. What's he's after?" Elliot asks

Olivia tells them what he wants

"We can't give it to him Olivia." Elliot says

"She's our daughter mine and Olivia's," Trevor said firmly. "Are you telling me you aren't going to do everything you can to get her back?"

"He won't hurt her," Elliot said.

"That doesn't answer my question," Trevor said. Both Trevor and Olivia glared at Elliot and became painfully aware that everyone was watching them. All 3 of them went to her office straight away.

"You are not doing a thing and you will not give him what he wants do you both understand me?"

"That is our fucking daughter Elliot and i'm your boss so you don't get to tell me what to do and I am doing it we are not friends anymore you are nothing to me or my family you are just a work acquaintance nothing more nothing nothing less".

"No your not," Elliot said, hating the look of disgust he saw in their eyes. "He won't hurt her."

"There's no way you could know that," Olivia said. "You have no idea what he will do."

"What would killing Katie achieve for him, really?" Elliot said. "He would have nothing, no leverage over you or Trevor, and the knowledge that you will both hunt him down and kill him very, very slowly and painfully. Her death gets him nothing."

"How can you be so clinical?" Olivia asked, the shock clear all over her face. This is our daughter! And you're just thinking about it like everyone else? How is that even possible?"

"Olivia, we'll be able to track him down. Katie won't be hurt, I'll make sure of it."

"You have no control over that at all," Olivia said. "What if he works out you're after him and decides Katie is no more use to him? What if he just kills her so he can escape".

"If you don't let us do what he wants, to save our daughters life, I will never forgive you." She said it so quietly and with such power in her voice.

"I can't," he whispered. "I'll get her back Olivia, I promise I will. But not this way I won't lose your friendship". Olivia says" what fucking friendship we don't have a friendship I am your boss that is all I am not your friend or family and neither is Trevor our children, Fin, Sonny or Amanda".

She looked at him as if she'd never truly seen him before, the loathing and disgust in her eyes was so clear. "When this is over, if by some miracle she's still alive, I never want you to come near myself Trevor or our children ever again. Do you understand?"

"Olivia…"

"Do you understand?" she repeated with ice in her voice. He nodded once and she left her office with Trevor, slamming the door shut as she went.
