I am, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so sorry about the last update. I had to bring my DMC up to date and I kinda left this one hanging. I still need to update my Godhand.

I apologise for any inconveniences. It really was my fault I am not denying it. I had a meeting with life and it enlightened me with a lot of it experiences.

(Wind Howling)

"Oooooooh Shiiiiiiiiit!" Naruto cussed as he look up to the top of the tower that penetrated the clouds. He could feel his heart beating aggressively in his chest.

He turned to Lara who was by his right, she was also looking to the top of the tower with a frown on her face.

"Lara, I can't climb this thing" He took back the words he said earlier. He might have not been scared before but he was scared shitless now.

Lara sighed in defeat. The climb up was definitely going to be a long one.

"Well there's no other way, I'll have to do it"

"Wait..what?" Naruto stared at her in disbelief. He looked from Lara to the tower. Can she really climb this monster of a tower.

"Don't look down on me" Lara scolded him after seeing the look of disbelief on his face.

"Sorry" Naruto scratched his cheek sheepishly. Although he couldn't dream of climbing the tower, he shouldn't underestimate her either.

Lara nodded and said. "I'll climb up and send the SOS while you stand guard down here.

Naruto nodded and pulled out a radio from his backpack and said.

"Remember to keep in touch."

"I will"

Naruto watch her start her climb up the ladders going higher and higher up the tower. He only looked away when she completely disappeared into the clouds.

Lara stood at the very peak of the radio tower, alone. The cold wind slap heavily against her body. She placed the transmitter beside the towers radio and tuned in the radio channels.

[Man's voice via radio_ "You're tuned to he international emergency broadcast response system. Please identify your situation and location coordinates, standby for our response."

"Mayday mayday this is Lara croft of the endurance. We are stranded on an island in the dragon's triangle. We need help and medical supplies. please respond."

"..."

"Come on, come on... Mayday, mayday. This is Lara croft of the endurance...

[Man's voice via radio_ "This is aircraft Nalas177Alpha (N177A). Searching for you since the distress call from your vessel. Almost give up hope!".

She felt the burden on her heart lighten at the sound of the voice "So had we!"

"We have your approximate location, but we could sure use a visual"

"I'll figure something out"

"We'll be heading your way soon. out"

Sigh

"Lara croft, you are my hero!" Alex joyful laughter cried out from the radio.

"Hey, you know, Reyes just actually cracked a smile!"

"Right, need a signal" Lara muttered absentmindedly, not caring about the overexcited Alex.

She pick up her radio and move to a certain channel.

"Lara?"

"Naruto I did it!"

"You manage to call for help? Thank goodness! We are finally getting off this crazy island!"

"Yes, they'll be coming to get us soon. I just need to set up a visual for them to know our exact location"

"That's no problem. We'll figure something out once you come back down"

"I can't"

"What do you mean you can't" Naruto's confused voice could be heard over the radio.

"The ladder broke off midway through the climb, so I can't climb back down"

"So how do you plan on getting down?"

"I found a zip line leading to the other side of the mountain on my way up here."

"I'm going to try and get a signal on the other side."

"Alright then, I'll try to find a way around"

"Naruto. Please be safe, and always keep in touch"

"I will. Take care of yourself out there, Lara."

"You too"

Naruto walk back down the stairs to the ground floor and out of the building. He held his gun in his hand before walking in the opposite direction they came from.

He move through the snow and abandoned building.

'I hope I know where am going"

Swoosh

A arrow cut through the air and pass the side of his face leaving a light cut on his cheek.

He look up at the half destroyed building standing a few distance in front of him to see a archer aiming for him. This time he didn't hesitate to take cover behind a broken wall.

"Intruder!"

Naruto heard the archer yell out before 6 more scavengers came out of a corner.

"Shit"

Gun shots echoed throughout the mountain. In less than a second it excavated into a shoot out. Naruto shot out from behind the cover. Bullets went flying back and forth. Naruto managed to kill 3 of them before running out of ammo.

"Fuck"

After not seeing him shoot for a while, one of the scavengers noticed something.

"He's out of ammo!"

'Fuck!' Naruto cursed when his secret was exposed.

"Let's get him!"

'Fuck! fuck! fuck!' He glanced around his surroundings. The only abandoned building was the one in front of him and it was currently occupied. The path to the other side was also through through that building. Talk about bad luck.

He equip his hatchet and lie in wait. One of the scavenger rush at him from behind the wall. He lung at Naruto with his machete pose to strike. Naruto duck underneath the wide swing and cut his arm with one of his throwing knife forcing him to let go of the machete. The scavenger didn't have even time to reach before the hatchet hack into his neck.

Before he could catch his breath another man appeared from behind the cover but he took him out with a throwing knife.

After taking care of the scavenger, he moved to pull his hatchet out of the other man's neck.

He heard soft movements behind him and didn't hesitate to turn around and toss a knife behind him. The action was performed flawlessly. The scavenger choke on his blood, his hands gripping the knife in his neck before he fall to the ground lifeless.

Naruto ignored the now dead body and retrieve his hatchet and knives. He wipe the cold weapons off the dead bodies.

It crazy what people could do if their lives were threatened. Had it been before coming to the Island he would never have dreamed of killing another man in cold blood with blinking.

A loud sound disrupted his muddy thoughts, drawing his attention to the sky.

'Is that...'

"A plane!"

He didn't realize it at first, but his eyes slowly widened aa he got a better view of it.

His eyes focused on the plane flying through the sky with hope. The dim fire in his heart quickly lit up at the sight of the rescue plane. He could practically hear his heart beating frantically again his chest.

'Lara really did it. We are finally getting off this God forsaken island' He was overwhelmed with joy but that feeling was quickly destroyed the next second.

"NO ONE LEAVES!" A voice boom in the sky like thunder. A bolt of lightning strike the plane causing it fall from the sky.

"W..what the hell was that?" Naruto look to the sky in shock.

"What the fuck was that?!"

He watch as the plan dive down in the other side of the mountain and away from sight.

Just like that his hope of leaving this island was shattered.

He stared into the horizon in a daze for a few minutes before it finally hit him.

"Lara's on the other side of that mountain".

He brought in it his radio and tried to contact her.

"Come on. come on" He tried to no avail.

"Lara! Are you there?!"

"..."

"Come on, come on," His hands trembled as feared for the worst.

"Please answer me"

"Naruto is that you?!"~

His heard jumped at the sound of the familiar voice.

"Lara! Thank God you are alive! What happened?!"

"I..I don't know. I heard a voice in the sky and then a lightning bolt struck the plane"~

"A voice in the sky? I heard it as well but I thought I was just imagining it"

"Well I don't think so. The pilot managed to escape before the plane crashed but he was killed by scavengers before I could get to him."~

"Shit." Naruto cursed when he heard that all their efforts had gone to waste.

There was a few seconds of silence before Lara finally spoke up.

"Naruto, I feel like something is trying to keep us from leaving this island"

He had already come to the same conclusion. Before their ship crashed before it could make it to the island. There are crashed ships and plane all around the island, they all pointed to the fact that people had manage to reach this island but never leave.

"I also feel that way too, but what do we do now?"

"I am going to rendezvous up with Roth. Can you meet up with us?"

"I can't say. I'll have to figure out where I am first"

"Alright. I'll radio you if I learn anything new."

"Alright"

Sigh.

Now that he knows that Lara is safe he felt a weight lift off his chest. But that still begged the question. How was he going to make it to the other side?.

Naruto drag his feet through the snow, moving further and further away from the snowy plains.

No matter how much he tried, he just couldn't take his mind off the voice in the sky. And due to his mind being occupied he was unable to pay attention to his surrounding which caused him dearly.

"Hey!" A voice shouted behind him shattering his train of thought. He turned around to see who it was only to get tackled to the ground. The both of them went rolling off the ground before falling off the edge of the cliff.

"Shit!" Naruto felt his heart move to his throat when he saw how far he was from the ground. The snow filled zoomed pass his eyes turning into a blur as the speed of his descent increased. The scavenger that had tackled him was also falling a few feet away from him but he paid him no mind, his head was already full thinking about the inevitable.

'Am I going to die?! I don't wanna die!" His heavy heartbeat echoed in his ear and he could barely hear himself think. The wind slapping against his face wasn't helping either.

After falling for a few minutes he fell pass the snowy area and was starting to see green again. The ground gradually drew closer and he could feel his heart pounding viciously against his chest. He had already resigned himself to his fate but seeing it now his resolve was completely shattered.

"I don't wanna diiiiiieeeee!"

(Splash)

He slammed into a raging river with force. the impact of his body against the water caused his skin to gain pink hue and sting like he was being pierced by a thousand needle. The scavenger wasn't so lucky, he smashed into the ground turning into meat paste.

The rice rushed him downstream taking him with it, and because of his body was currently numb from the fall, he was left at it mercy.

"Fuck!"

He nearly drowned countless times in the raging river. The pain in his body and the rough tossing of the river eventually drove him unconscious. When he regained consciousness he found himself at the edge of a forest. Coughing up water from his lungs, he drag his tired body back on shaky legs.

"Where am I?" He made his way into the forest, using the nearby trees for support. After a few minutes of walking he found an abandoned hut and decided to rest his tired body.

"Naruto" Roth's voice sounded out the radio but his sleepy brain could barely register it.

"Can you hear me? I need you to fi..." He passed out before he could hear the rest of the words.

Time slowly passed by and by the time he woke up his body had managed to regain some strength. He stretched out his sore muscles and got back to his feet. After resting a bit the pain in his body finally receded. All he had in his possession had been washed away by the river. The only thing left on him were his radio and his two throwing knifes.

Speaking of radio, he grab it out of his jacket and tried radioing the others.

"Lara, Roth. Is anybody there?"

"..."

He sighed at the lack of response and was about to give up when someone answered.

"Naruto, is that you?"

"Grim, you bag of bones. It's so good to hear your voice. How have you been?"

"Not good since I'm really starting to regret answering your call?"

"Hahaha..argh" He tried laughing but a stinging pain in his chest stopped him. He must have bruised a rib.

"Hey, are you okay?" Grim's asked, expressing his concern. As much as the kid might drive him crazy he wouldn't want anything to happen to him.

"I'll live."

"Is Lara with you?"

"No we got separated."

"Then where are you?"

"I'm in a forest. Have you heard from the others?"

"Just from Alex and that was a few hours ago. He radioed me to tell me about our rescue plane arriving, but seeing the fact that you don't sound excited, I can already tell that that's not gonna happen anytime soon." Although grim tried to hide it but Naruto could still hear the sadness in his voice.

"It's still too early to give up hope. I'll radio you once I find my way out of the forest."

"Alright."

Immediately he cut off the connection his stomach growled, giving him a sense of despair.

"I have to find something to eat." Naruto stepped out of the hut and make his way deeper into the forest. After waking for half an hour he found deer tracks and trailed it.

He followed the trail to another part of the forest where two men crounch around a dead deer with bullet holes in it body. One of the men heard a sound and look up but he saw nobody there so he returned his attention back to him partner.

"Oh shit" Naruto peek out from behind the tree he hid at. The two men seem to be in distracted by the conversation thy were having. The both of them had a gun so he couldn't act rashly.

He picked up a small rock on the ground and toss it a small distance away from the scavengers to their left.

thud.

"What's that?" One of them turned around to survey the area. His partner also listened but all he heard was the wildlife.

"Are you sure you are not hearing things?"

"I don't think so. I'm gonna check it out."

Naruto watch as one of them move toward the sound. He pulled out his throwing knife and toss it at the man left with the deer.

"Argh" The knife imbedded itself in his forehead dropping him dead.

"Hey, are you okay?!" His partner who heard his shout rushed back to his location only to see the dead body of his partner.

(Bush rustling)

"Who is there?!" He raised his gun and slowly turned around to observe his surrounding.

Snap.

He turned around to the sound but what he saw was a knife entering his vision before everything went black.

Sigh.

Seeing the dead body hit the ground, Naruto walk out of his hiding place to retrieve his knife and salvage the dead bodies. He grabbed the SMG on one of the dead bodies. He kept gun and some extra ammo he salvage. He quickly ate the little food he found to sate his hunger.

"That should hold back my hunger for now" His gaze then switch to the deer on the ground. He pulled out his throwing knife and prepared to cut off a piece of meat.

"Naruto, are you there?" A voice sounded out his radio. A voice he recognize all too well.

"Lara? are you okay?"

"Am safe for now."

"For now?"

"It's nothing much. I manage to find something important" That serve to pique is interest.

"What is it?"

"It's about the sun queen. I found her tomb"

"What?"
