Boom
An explosion shook the cave they were in causing large cracks to appear all over the ground. The sound like that of an heavenly thunder instilling fear in all that heard it.
"Oh no"
Naruto's heart skipped a beat when he saw the large cracks spreading towards him. Without any hesitation he immediately turned tail and ran as fast as he could towards the wall of the cave, but the cracks didn't stop spreading. To make matters worse the ground behind him started to fall apart piece by piece revealing a blazing inferno underneath it.
Naruto shivered when he gaze at the lake of fire. At this moment he wished he could run even faster but the unsteady ground made it difficult for him to run properly. He even fell down at one point. The cracks eventually caught up to him and the ground underneath his foot started to shake violently.
"Come on, kid. Where the fuck are you?" Jonah clenched his fist tight when he suddenly heard a voice shout excitedly.
"Over there!"
"Oh no no no no"
Lara gaze down anxiously from the edge of the cliff she stood on praying and hoping that Naruto was still alive. Her eyes frantically looking around, desperately searching for the blonde locks that she had grown accustomed to seeing. Even Jonah and the others stared down from behind the bars looking for the familiar form of the blonde haired man.
"Come on, kid. Where the fuck are you?" Jonah muttered underneath his breathe. His heart felt unusual heavy right now. After all, He made a promise to Roth that he'll look after the kid, but all he could do was watch on uselessly from behind bars as the kid risked his life for them. He was truly miserable. Before he could continue beating himself up he suddenly heard a voice shout excitedly.
"Over there!"
Everyone turned to Alex who had shouted when only to see him pointing in a particular direction. They looked in the direction he pointing to see a familiar figure hanging onto the edge of the cave wall using their pry axes.
"Naruto!"
"He's alright ? !"
"Thank goodness" Lara sighed in relief, calming her palpitating heart when she saw naruto clinging onto the wall of the cave some distance away from her.
"I'm fine! Get Reyes and the others out of there!" Naruto shouted when he heard the others concerned voices.
"Alright. Leave it to me!" Lara said, nodding. Now that she had confirmed that Naruto was alright, she returned back to her task of freeing the others.
"That was scary" Naruto whispered as he gaze down at the inferno below. His palpitating heart still hasn't calmed down. Although he claimed that he was fine, in reality, however, he was actually terrified. If he had been even a few second late during that last jump he might've probably been ashes right now.
'Good thing I took these pry axes from those scavengers back then. If not, it would have been impossible for me to have survived that jump.'
Naruto thought before climbing up the wall of the cave. He arrived at the top area when he heard another explosion. He looked up in time to see the old plane part that the others were imprisoned in swing to the cliff on the other side of the cave. The prison crashed onto the cliff, but a few seconds later it rolled off the cliff. When Naruto and Lara saw this their hearts skipped a beat and they almost screamed in fright. However,when the part of the plane fell off they saw reyes and the others who managed to escape in time, standing on the other side.
Lara sighed in relief when she saw them escape safely. However before she could relax the ground underneath her stars to shake violently with crack appearing on it surface.
'Oh no' Lara's gasped when she saw the cracks forming on the platform she stood on. As if it had a mind of it own, the cracks began to snake their way towards Lara. Anxious, Lara glanced around looking for another platform when she heard a shout.
"Lara, over there!" Lara turned around to see Naruto pointing at two cages hanging down from the roof of the cave.
"Hurry!" Naruto urged her. He watched with bated breath as Lara ran to the edge of the platform before jumping off the edge. The ground crumbling behind her soon after. Meanwhile Lara managed to grab and climb on top the first cage and was already making her way towards the second one. the onto the side of the cage.
Naruto and the others heaved a sigh of relief when they saw her climb on top the first cage. However, when she jumped onto the second cage it trembled slightly before steadying itself again.
"Hurry, Lara!" Naruto urged Lara when he saw the cage shook. Now that only a small gap separated her from him, she should be able to make the jump.
"Okay" Lara nodded. She ran to the edge of the cage before jumping to naruto's side. The sudden weight caused the cage to cut loose from the roof of the cave and fall long into the rising inferno.
Lara landed with a light thud in front of naruto, panting with her hands on her knees.
'That was close' Lara exhaled. That last jump was certainly scar If not for the distance between the cage and the cliff Naruto stood in not being much she probably would never have dreamed of making the jump safely.
"Are you okay?" Naruto asked as he walked up to her.
Lara took in a few deep breathes before answering. "I'm fine. Thanks"
"Don't mention it." Naruto shook his head, then continued. "After all, You'd do the same for me."
Meanwhile in the other side Jonah and the others finally relaxed. They felt like they had just survived a great ordeal.
"Holy shit, that was close" Alex who had been watching unfold from behind his fingers placed a hand over his chest, relieved that it was finally over. He could still feel his palpitating heart though.
Jonah shook his head at Alex's word but he didn't refute him. After all, he also felt the same way. He then turned to look at the two people on the other side and shouted. "Naruto, Lara, it looks like there's a way out on this side."
"Then you guys can leave. We'll go find Sam and Whitman then rendezvous with you guys at the rescue point" Naruto replied. To be honest he was glad that their two groups got separated. If not, if they were to move together they would be lucky if the brotherhood didn't discover them before they make it to Sam. In fact, it would downright be a miracle.
"We'll see you guys on the other side."
Thank you for coming to rescue us" Reyes said before dragging Alex with her into the cave
"No, It's alright. After all, there's no way we were gonna leave you guys behind" Lara shook her head. Reyes made it sound like they planned on abandoning them in the first place or to be more precise, they had already given up on the thought of anybody coming to rescue them.
Jonah chuckled then turned to Naruto and said. Naruto, look after Lara for me, okay?"
"I will" Naruto said, smiling. After all, they was what he had been doing.
Jonah nodded before walking into the cave with the others. After the others left Naruto turned to Lara and said. "We should go as well. This place is already falling apart."
"Okay." Lara nodded before before the two of them turned to leave. As the two of them ran through the cave continuous explosions shook the cave.
What is going on? After the explosion continued for a while Naruto found it strange. Was the explosions the cause of the inferno from before? But what started it? Although Naruto was puzzled about the whole situation, he decided to shelve his thoughts for later and focus on what's important right now, which was finding Sam.
In fact, he wasn't the only one who had such thoughts. Lara also found the situation to be unusual. If the explosions had been only once or twice she wouldn't have thought much about it. However, at this point it had become a constant occurrence, like a chain reaction, the explosions occured one after the other.
After running for a few more seconds, they finally exited the cave into a passage which looked more like the entrance of a temple. Flames burned away on the temple's wooden floor. A double wooden door stood at the end of the passage with a statue on both sides of it. Naruto and Lara shielded their face from the smoke and made a beeline for the wooden door at the end of the passage.
"Scram!"
Boom!
Rather than slow down Naruto increased his speed instead, building momentum and with the full force of his body, he smashed shoulder first into the small wooden doors, bursting them wide open. His body hit the ground with a light thud.
That hurts! Naruto expression morphed into one of pain as he rubbed his sore left shoulder, his brain was overloaded with pain. It felt like every nerve in his body was scolding him for being reckless. If he had known that the pain would be this excruciating he wouldn't have dared slam into the door in the first place.
"Naruto, are you okay?!" Lara asked as she rushed up to his side, concern written all over her face. The sound she heard when Naruto had smashed shoulder first into the door made her cringe. When she saw naruto's rub his shoulder with a pained expression, she glanced back at the broken doors and unconsciously shuddered. how could such small doors be so sturdy?
"it's just a bruise. let's continue there's no time to lose" Naruto said after the pain in his shoulder subsided. Lara nodded and the two of the immediately resumed their journey. They ran up a short stairs onto a podium which was like an inferno as the whole interior was on fire. The raging fire made it difficult to breathe and they could barely see through the thick smoke. As they continue to make their way through the burning building they heard voices amidst the raging fire and falling debris.
They reached the top of the building and turned a right corner, before they could take a step further the area in front of them suddenly collapsed while accompanied by an explosion that caused a mini earthquake.
Lara's expression turned gloomy when she saw the now collapsed area.The frown one her face deepend even more when the saw the roaring inferno threatening to catch up behind them.
"Lara, over here!" Lara turned around to see Naruto standing beside a huge hole by the wall. "Come on, hurry!" He urged her when he saw the blazing inferno rapidly catching up to them. All the lower floors were already swallowed by lake of fire. And now even the upper floors were no longer safe.
They had even encountered a few scavengers along the way but both sides had completely ignored the other in favor of escaping the deadly flames. After all, nobody wanted to experience the pain of being burned alive.
"Coming!" Lara ran through the hole in the wall which led onto the roof of the lower floor with Naruto. The curved roof made it difficult to run properly but they managed to avoid the raging inferno inside the building. However they still had to be careful with the explosion coming from inside the building.

"Help, we're trapped!"
"I'm on fire!"
"Somebody, save me please!"
"Oh God " Fear gripped Lara's heart when she heard the the voices coming from inside the burning building. The smell of burning flesh that invaded her nose was nauseating. Although the scavengers were her sworn enemies, just imaging the scene of another human being burned alive caused her skin to crawl.
"Don't slow down, just keep running Lara!" Naruto who followed closely behind Lara reminded after dodging under the fire that exploded out of a window beside him. After running for a while, they reached a dead end where a section of the roof connected the the wall of another building. With the help of their pry axes, the two of them were able to reach the balcony on the top floor of the building.
Boom!
Continuous explosions sounded out around them as they move through the building, tearing walls apart and collapsing buildings. At this point this kind of scene had become a common occurrence.
Agonizing screams rang out from inside the building. The smell of burning flesh filled the air. Burned From time to time bodies would be seen flying out of the burning buildings courtesy of the explosions. They often stumbled upon dead bodies that had Ben burnt beyond recognition. It was complete chaos.
Sweat covered Naruto's brows as he ran through the burning floor. The heat caused by the fire was becoming unbearable. The wooden framework of the floor they moved on was scorched and looks like it would crumble at any given moment. The smoke made it difficult to see and breathe, and the fire doesn't seem like it was going to stop any time soon.
After a while Naruto and Lara stumbled into a burning room with a huge hole in the ceiling and scorched walls.
"Naruto, take a look at this"
Naruto turned around to Lara stood before a table littered with pieces of paper and books. Some papers were glued onto the wall behind the table with words written in bold red paint on the wall. Naruto walked towards Lara, stunned.
"Is it?"
"It's Mathias" Lara replied, frowning. she then checked the papers and photos scattered on the table.
"Nobody leaves" Naruto whispered as he stared at the text written on the wall.
"That's what I heard in Japanese when the plane crashed" Lara said as she walked to the wall to get a closet look at the text written on the papers.
"The ritualist from Himiko's tomb" Lara whispered causing Naruto to look at her with a confused gaze as he asked.
"But why is Mathias interested in it? Why is he so fascinated with the sun queen?" Naruto looked back at the text on the wall. However that wasn't the only thing written on the wall. There were others words written on the wall in white with lines connecting all of them together and in the middle of it all was the word vessel written in big capital letters inside a circle.
Before they could say anymore a third voice suddenly appeared in the room.
"Lara? Naruto? are you there?"~
Lara hurried grabbed her radio from her back pocket when she heard the voice coming from it and replied, "We are here, Roth"
"Oh thanks goodness. I saw smoke coming from the mountains, so I got worried. Are you guys okay?"~
"We are fine Roth. We managed to save Reyes and the others but now the whole castle is on fire" Naruto said from beside Lara.
"I'm glad to hear that. I've set up a rendezvous point back across the bridge. The chopper is gonna be here soon"~
Lara nodded, saying. "Okay. We'll meet you there after we get Sam and Whitman"
"Alright. The two of you be careful"~
"We will" Lara disconnected the radio and sighed. Things were already spiraling out of control. The rescue chopper will be here any time now and they still haven't seen any sign of sam.
"We should leave here, Lara. The building won't last for long" Naruto said anxiously as he looked at the burning interior.
Lara tore off one of the paper from the wall and stored it in her pocket. She then turned to Naruto and said. "Alright. Let's move."
Naruto nodded before dragging the table under the huge hole which made it possible for them reach the hole and climb onto the roof.
"Watch you steps" Naruto said as they made their way through the roof. Thick black smoke blocked out the sky. Fire burned on both sides of the roof leaving only a single path in the middle for them to follow. They reached the end of the roof where they heard more voices screaming on the burning building adjacent them while to their right was a zipline which they used to reach the top floor of the building on the other side.
Boom!
"Intruders!"
Naruto saw a scavenger to his right point a gun at them as they landed on the building before an explosion took place beside him, blowing him off the roof.
"That was close. Naruto sighed. However, before they could relax they heard more voices coming from the burning building opposite them.
"The outsiders are there!"
"Don't let them get to the shrine!"
"Kill them!"
Naruto and Lara looked up to see a few scavengers in the building opposite them aiming at them with their guns.
'Oh shit!'
"Take cover!"
Bang ! Bang ! Bang ! Bang ! Bang !
"Are this guys insane?!" Lara who hide behind a pillar was beginning to question brotherhood's sanity. Rather than look for a way to escape the fire they chose to fight them instead.
"The brotherhood really is a cult full of maniacs. There really is no saving this guys." Naruto agreed with lara. He shook his head and sighed as he held his gun at the ready. No matter what, he doesn't plan on dying to neither the brotherhood nor the fire.
For a while the brotherhood members channeled rage through a rain of bullets, not giving naruto and lara any chance to retaliate. Helpless about the situation, Naruto and Lara could do nothing but hide behind covers waiting for the opportune moment.
They didn't have to wait long. After another round of fire, the scavenger's stopped to reload their guns, however, Once the rain of bullets stopped, Naruto and Lara immediately moved out from behind the their cover and opened fire on them. The sound of the WWII machine guns was like the song of death as it reaped away the lives of the scavengers.
The scavengers were miserable at the moment and completely at a loss. Behind them was a burning inferno threatening to swallow them whole and with the hail of bullets coming from in front of them, they felt like prisoners on death row.
"DIE, YOU SONS OF BITCHES!"
Naruto released all his pent up frustration on the scavengers. Raining down terror on them. His trigger finger never left the trigger. It was only when the gun ran out of ammo that he finally calm down.
"Come on" Lara called out to him after the last of the scavengers died to Naruto fiery attack.
"Hm" Naruto tossed the empty machine gun in his hands to the ground before they make their way across the gap to the building on the other side where the scavengers had been shooting tuem from. They climb up the side of the castle using their pry axes before moving into a hall. Thankfully the fire hasn't gotten to this place yet so they were able to transverse the hall in a few minutes.
They reached the end of the hall and turned a corner when they stumbled upon someone they had been a familiar face.
"Whitman?!"
"Naruto! Lara! You guys are ali..."
Bam.
Whitman didn't complete his sentence before he was sent tumbling to the ground by a mean right hook. He spat out a mouthful of blood, his right cheek swelled. Stunned, Whitman looked up to see Naruto standing before him with his right arm outstretched. Anger colored his face. He looked at whitman as if he had just seen trash. Infact he considered Whitman to be worse than trash.
Whitman who had been happy when he saw Naruto and Lara, felt betrayed, but deep inside he knew that he deserved it. After all, he had betrayed them just to save himself. To be honest, he thought the scavengers would have killed them by now, maybe that was why he was overjoyed when he saw them alive and well.
"You narcissistic bastard!" Naruto's anger soared when he saw Whitman's down cast look. How dare the bastard show such an expression.
"Wipe that look off your face!"
"Naruto, stop!" Lara immediately stepped in when she saw Naruto about to make a move again.
"What are you doing Lara?" Naruto asked, surprised. In his mind, Lara should be just as angry as him, after all they had been through because of whitman. So why was she standing up for him?
"Don't." Lara shook her head before turning to whitman. Frowning, she said. "I think he has had enough"
No matter what the reason was, it wouldn't change the fact that whitman had betrayed them. Although she wanted nothing more than to see him suffer, Sam was the main priority right now, and Whitman is the only person who knows where she is.
Naruto still wanted to give Whitman a piece of his mind he decided to trust Lara's judgement and let him off with a little warning.
After making sure that Naruto won't do anything Lara turned back to Whitman, saying. "Sorry about that. We've been through a lot, so I hope you can understand."
"It's okay" Whitman shook his head and stood back up to his foot. However, he made sure to put some distance between him and Naruto. That one punch had nearly dislocated his neck. He placed a hand on his swollen cheek and couldn't help but wince in pain. The one hit had instantly given birth to a fear of Naruto within him.
"So what happened?"
"Once they stop seeing me as a threat, they let me move about almost freely"
Naruto's frown deepend even more when he heard Whitman's sentence and instantly retorted. "So while we were trying our hardest to survive, you were taking a casual stroll around the castle. What a piece of shit!"
"Naruto!" Lara shouted at him with a glare. She could understand that he was angry but can't he at least think of the bigger picture. He was unnecessarily making things difficult for her.
Naruto took a deep breath reigning in his anger before taking a few steps back, putting some distance between the two of them. Lara heaved a rueful sigh when she saw Naruto step away to the wall.
Whitman looked at Naruto's back with a scared expression on his face. He could swear that Naruto was ready to hit him if not for Lara interfering. Is that the same Naruto I know?
"Sorry about that. We have been through a lot. However, did you know that the others were captured?" Lara asked.
Whitman nodded dumbly, his gaze moving between Lara and Naruto before answering. "Yes, yes... Sam's also here, but I couldn't free her without a weapon"
"Sam is here ? ! Then there is no time to waste" Lara was about to rush past Whitman when he hurriedly stopped her.
"Wait, wait, Lara. This people are an anthropological marvel, Lara." Whitman said. He looked like someone who had just discovered something fascinating. However, Naruto frowned when he heard Whitman's words. Is the man insane? Did he just call a group of murderers and ritualist an anthropological marvel?
Did I hit him too hard? Naruto thought it was the only reasonable possibility. After all, no sane person would dare say such an insane thing.
Lara shook her head, disapprovingly. Sneering she said. "They are insane murderers, Dr. Whitman! We need to get our people out of here?"
"Of course, of course." Whitman laughed sheepishly. He gave Naruto a side look before saying nervously. "I'll keep a look out here...you..you can call me when it's safe"
Lara shook her head when she noticed him glance at Naruto before moving pass him. She turned around to face Naruto standing some distance back and shouted. "Let's go, Naruto!"
Whitman felt a lump in his throat as Naruto walked closer to them. The scary part was that he found it difficult to swallow.
"Don't you dare think of betraying us again. Or else, I'll make it's the last time you ever do" Naruto whispered to Whitman with a glare before walking passed him. Whitman's heart skip a beat when he heard the subtle threat. He felt the threat of death loom over him. It was only after Naruto left the hall that he finally relaxed.
That was scary!
...
Meanwhile Naruto and Lara walked into a massive throne room with huge pillars where they heard a familiar voice.
"I don't think you understand. You have been chosen, Samantha. This is a great honor for your, for all of us"
'Sam?' Naruto and Lara exchanged concerned looks before quietly making their way towards the sound using the pillars as cover. The voices got louder as the distance between them shortened. After reaching the last pillar they peeked out from behind it to see Father Mathias standing beside a bound Sam with two other scavenger standing guard in the middle of the hall. One of them being Dmitri, one of the scavengers that apprehended them before.
"Some were even beginning to doubt we'd ever find you...but here you are"
"Please. I know you think I'm something special, but I'm not. I don't want to be chosen."
Sam? Lara's chest tightened when she heard her friends sad voice.
"This is not about what you want." Father Mathias shook his head before continuing. "It's about what you are. Himiko's blood runs through your veins. I think you know this Samantha"
"You are insane, Mathias! Why are you doing this?"
"You are searching for logic and reason where there is none. I made the same mistake once. Back when I thought ships could reach us and planes wouldn't fall from the sky."
"I just want to go home" Sam said softly before Father Mathias grabbed her neck in a chokehold.
"So do I, girl! I've waited years for this moment...I've given my life!" Mathias shouted before pushing her to the ground. sneering he continued. "Don't you think I've tried to get away from here?! We are all trapped here. But you, Samantha, you have the power to release us. Many have given up their souls willingly for this gift"
The scavenger that has been standing silently guard for a while now suddenly spoke up. "The fire is getting worse and the other two have vanished"
Father Mathias felt his head ache when he heard that. "I've heard enough of those two, it's about time I end this." He turned to the other scavenger standing in the hall and said. "Dmitri, guard her with your life"
"Got it, boss" Dmitri nodded before watching Father Mathias leave the hall.
'Now's our chance.' Naruto grabbed his axe when he saw Dmitri's back turned towards them and threw it at him. The axe sailed through the head whistling the tone of death.
"That was for last time" Naruto spat on the dead body after retrieving his axe.
"Naruto?!" Sam's eyes widened when she saw the blonde haired youth standing before her. The attack from. before had startled her. Tears of joy welled up in her eyes when she thought of how she had almost give up hope.
"Sam!" Lara ran out from behind the pillar and pulled sam in a tight hug.
"Lara?"
"I'm so glad you are alright. I was scared that something bad would have happened to you" Lara said as she tightened her hug on sam. She had always had this fear at the back of her mind that she might not be able to save Sam. The thought of it has weighed heavily on her consciousness. But now all of it was gone.
Sam was dazed when she heard the fear and concern in Lara's voice. When she saw Naruto also wearing a concerned expression tears welled up in her eyes. Sam, who had been toughing it out all this while finally felt her emotions overwhelm her.
The tears were silent at first but soon it got loud enough for Naruto and Lara to hear. They grew even more concern when they heard her crying.
"Sam?"
"I'm fine." Sam said as she wiped the tears with a small smile on her face. "I'm just extremely happy, that's all"
Naruto and Lara smiled at Sam's words. They were just as happy as she was. After all, Sam's situation had been unknown to them throughout most of their journey, all they could do was wish for the best. So they were elated to see her alive and well.
"We need to leave before he comes back" Naruto said after retrieving his axe and looting the Dmitri's body. He also gained a shotgun from Dmitri's dead body.
"But how are we going to get out of here?" Sam asked anxiously.
"There's a rescue helicopter coming to get us" Naruto answered before passing the handgun he had taken from Dmitri's body to her. "Use it to protect yourself"
"Come on" Lara held Sam's hand before hurrying back towards the hall where they left Whitman. They peeked out from behind the corner but there was nobody in sight
"Where is he?"
Naruto gritted his teeth when he couldn't find any sign of Whitman. "I hope he didn't turn on us again"
"Maybe he is in trouble" Sam suggested. Naruto however didn't think so. However with or without Whitman they already had who they came for. He could care less about a traitor. Lara thought about it as well before walking into the hallway.
"Let's go. There's no time to lose"
The three of them walked through the hallway with hurried steps. When they were about to reach the end of the hall witness suddenly walked out from the end of the hallway
"Run, Lara, run!" Whitman immediately shouted when he saw Lara. Naruto and the others were a little puzzled at first but when they saw father Mathias appear beside Whitman they immediately dare to question him further.
"Shit" Naruto cussed immediately he saw father mathias. He pulled sam behind him and reached for his gun.
"Get them!" Mathias ordered the scavengers behind him in rage when he eyes landed on Sam standing behind Naruto and Lara.
"Yes, father Mathias"
"Back to the throne!" Lara shouted when she saw the two scavengers running towards them. Naruto cocked his shotgun and blasted the roof in front of them causing rubbles to fall down from the blocking the hallway and separating the two parties.
"Come on" Naruto grabbed Sam's hand, pulling her along with him as they ran back towards the throne room. Lara following behind them.
Naruto and Sam ran across the throne room into another hall on the other side but before Lara could go after them an explosion shook the whole hall causing the entrance of the hall to collapse on itself.
"Lara!"
Sam felt fear grip her heart when she saw the rubbles blocking the entrance of the hall.
"Not again" Naruto felt his heartache as he stared at the rubbles. This was the worst time to get separated. They had just finally managed to save Sam after so long why did they have to get separated shortly after.
"I'm fine, Sam. You guys should get out of here, I'll find a way to meet up with you guys." Lara's voice sounded anxious. Sam was about to say something again when they heard gunshots coming from the otherside.
Sam's heard skipped a beat when she heard the gunshots. Tears welled up in Sam's eyes when she thought of all the awful things that have happened. It was supposed to be just a simple expedition so why was all of this happening to them.
"Come on. We'll meet with Lara on the other side" Naruto said as he grabbed Sam's hand and lead her into the hallway. If possible he wished he could go back and help Lara but there wasn't possible. All he could do right now was to keep going forward while hoping for the best.
The two of them continued down the hall in silence. Neither saying a word. Naruto turned to look at Sam who followed behind him like a drone not saying a word. He sighed dejectedly. He could understand how she felt. After all, she had been forced to leave the friend who had just rescued her behind and her faith was unknown.
However he needed her to focus right now. If they were going to escape the castle he needed her to be complete focused.
Naruto placed a hand on Sam's shoulder snapping her out of her thought. She turned to look at Naruto with a confused expression.
"Naruto?"
Naruto look her in the eyes and said, "She's gonna be alright, sam." He then gave her a reassuring smile, and said, "Let's have faith in her"
"Naruto?". Sam's eyes suddenly widened in realization. That's right. They have all been through worst and have still managed to survive up to this point. All she could do right now was to have Faith in Lara. A small smile formed on her face as she said. "Thank you Naruto"
"It nothing" Naruto shook his head. "Now, let's keep going"
