Chiaia looks at both Kenshi and Zero with a look of confusion, "Why must they attend?" Lashara tells her that they pretty declared in front of every student they are Mecha Masters, in their dimension, but they are not recognized as such in this one, therefor they must attend the ceremony.
Chiaia asked if they would be participating in the ceremony and Lashara told her she said they would be attending the ceremony, not participating in it. She even goes as far as to say that they don't have proper garb to participate and are not recognized.
A few minutes later they entered the principal's office, and they met with a young woman and her attendant, The young woman said that she was happy to see that her attendants had not been injured by getting mixed up with her unfortunate bad luck, to which Lashara said that her face was unfortunate.
Chiaia taps the cousins on the shoulder, "She is Princess Maria Nanadan of the Kingdom of Havoniwa, and just happens to be the cousin of Empress Lashara." Kenshi then mentions that they don't appear to get along well, and Zero nods his head and says that he agrees, they don't seem to get along at all, as in ever.
That is when Maria smiles and says "Well Princess Lashara." Lashara corrects her and tells her Empress, "You seem to have gotten a pair of cute attendants." Being ignored Lashara gets back at her by flipping her skirt up and a light blue petticoat with blue embroidery can be seen, which causes Maria to do the same thing to Lashara, and hers was a light purple petticoat.
"I can't believe that you would pick baby blue." Maria scoffs and tells her that she picked a childish color like purple, to which Lashara tells her it was a royal color. Zero was then heard saying that he thinks they are both behaving like children, they glared at him and asked Kenshi, who do you think looks better? Maria flat-out says that it would be alright if he picked Lashara out of loyalty to his worthless master.
At that point the young attendant that was standing near Maria decided to tap Kenshi on the shoulder, making him look at her, as she bent down and slowly pulled up her skirt, revealing a baby pink petticoat that looked silky soft. Kenshi immediately says that he liked her best. Which made both Maria and Lashara scream, "Yukine."
As this was happening the principal finally made it into the office and Zero said thank the goddesses to which Chiaia and Kenshi said Amen. "I heard that these two young men claimed to be Mecha Masters I would like to hear an explanation from you."
Kenshi tells her that indeed in their dimension they have graduated as Mecha Masters, the principal asks if they have any proof that they are from another universe, immediately Kenshi and Zero places two round disks on the table and press a button on each showing a picture on the wall of their families, the world and of different planets a map of the galaxy.
The principal has them recorded to be sent to the church, "So I guess this proves that indeed you two are from another dimension, but that also proves that you are not mecha masters in our dimension, and as such you both shall be tested, depending on the results you may or may not have to participate in the upcoming mecha master promotion ceremony. Just to be certain Empress Lashara be sure to acquire appropriate garbs for them since they are your attendants."
She immediately hands over a written test with forty pages full of questions, and both Zero and Kenshi are given an hour to finish them. As they took the pens, they began to write but so fast that they looked like a blur to the people watching, after ten minutes they both presented the finished tests, "We are done. We checked it ten times to be sure."
The Principal began to look over the pages and after she was done, she was shocked, never in the history of the academy has anyone managed to get a perfect score in such a short time. "I was going to tell you that you still had fifty minutes, but it seems that they are both 100 percent correct so we have no reason to deny the fact that you two are indeed Mecha Masters. We only have one last exam and that is the physical. We will see if you are truly worthy."
Kenshi asked the principal if she was sure that she was not a Juraian? The principal smiled and said yes she is sure that she is not. "In two hours you two shall compete, we have two mechanoids ready for you to use, we shall see if you two are truly worthy. I hope you are ready."
Outside the principal's office, they sat by a bench under a tree, Lashara was complaining about how she had endured this to attend the academy, and then she mentioned how impolite Maria's attendant was. Kenshi was quick to say that he didn't think flipping each other's skirts was that courteous at all.
Chiaia told both Kenshi and Zero that students have to wear the same drab-looking uniforms so they tend to compete against each other as to whom had the best undergarments. Zero flat said that then it was no contest, Yukine had a much nicer petticoat, it was soft, pristine, and dignified. The girls asked him how does he know so much about undergarments, Zero told them he didn't want to talk about it while blushing.
Kenshi spoke up, "That is because we have a cousin who was married into the family, who was a supermodel back in her day and she made sure we were properly trained in marksmanship, etiquette, and fashion." Kenshi then states that he was surprised that she got back into modeling thanks to their cousin Seina Yamada.
She became a part-time model once again, even after giving birth to her children. "She did modeling for maternity clothes, while nine months pregnant and still looked sexy, neither I nor Zero have been able to figure out how the hell did she do that?" She is also a police officer which makes them ask what is that exactly? Zero tells them they catch crooks who break the law, like big sister Ryoko.
So they are like Mecha Masters, to which Kenshi says kind of, but by that definition, their entire family was Mecha Masters and that is not exactly accurate. Most of the Police Force do that without armor since they don't have sacred mechanoids but they are pretty much as strong as if they did. Which shocks both of them.
That is when Wahanly is seen running towards Chiaia and tells her she needs her to be her witness, a few minutes later they are at the area, and Mexiah explains that the arena surface is a special plate where Ahou energy flows through, and the two would fight until either knocked out or they get their opponents out of the duel area.
Before they could start the fight, Kenshi and Zero went up to the machines and said that they both seemed to be out of whack but one was worse than the other. When the girls that challenged Wahanly asked what are they talking about. Zero mentioned that the machines have not been used since last year, and these machines need maintenance. All of the girls in the duel area said that the machine seemed to be working fine until the duel started and the cables were released, and Wahanly noticed that indeed her machine was sluggish and the other seemed to be imbalanced.
Seeing this she decided to use that against her opponent and went for a clean throw, as the opponent tried to attack with her sword, Wahanly grabbed her arm and with a quick motion threw her opponent almost off the platform but she was hit in one of her arms, her opponent landed on the platform almost falling off, and when she got up the imbalanced caused her to fall off the platform.
Both Kenshi and Zero did tell them that they tried to tell them, but the girls wouldn't listen. Turning to Empress Lashara, maybe they could be good additions to her service if they learned to listen to people who know what they are talking about.
They decided to tell them their names, one said she was Ayame Haruno and the other was Mebuki Ichiraku, the one that was piloting was Tenten Inuzuka. They all were sorry for the way they behaved, but they wanted to prove themselves as capable mecha masters.
This reminded Zero that he needed to tell Kenshi that their duel was coming up. Kenshi did agree that their duel was next and Zero offered these three girls if they wanted to watch. All three of them blushed and said yes. Zero and Kenshi decide to go to the coliseum where the principal, three other instructors, and a rather strict-looking gentleman are waiting for them.
The Principal introduces the two boys to the pope leader of the church, Gen Po China. He told them that they had provided them with two standard units for their duel. Kenshi thanked him and Zero told him he wished that he finds their duel at least entertaining.
As the two boys entered the cocoons they began to form into their mechanoids and made Chiaia remember when she saw it the night at the castle, but the shock was the one Zero was piloting, looked like a knight, but had this scary look in the eyes, and was stark white.
Zero was heard telling Kenshi to remember proper duel protocol, "Bow down, and let's get started." Kenshi mentions that his Mechanoid looks like Guyver Three and Zero comments that he looks like a swordfish human hybrid with a tail, with sandals for some weird reason.
The battle begins as they clash against each other in the coliseum, causing shock waves every time they clash, and slash marks to appear around them as the shock waves hit the walls of the Coliseum, the audience is protected by a barrier. They threw caution to the wind and went around the pillars like it was nothing at all. Using them to evade and block each other's attacks like they were in a game.
The audience was speechless at what they were looking at, some of the girls were even having a hard time keeping them in sight, they could swear that they blurred at some points, but after an hour of this amazing duel, the principal decided to put a stop to it. When the two were about to punch each other in the face and that is when they finally stopped before their attacks connected.
Pope Gen Po is grinning like a fool, "You honestly needed to test them? It is quite clear that these two are mecha masters, just by entering their mechanoid cocoons I could tell, and I know for a fact that so did you." The Principal said that yes she could but she told him that he knew how much she liked to be entertained.
The three girls Tenten, Ayame, and Mebuki have just been given positions in the Court of Empress Lashara, the Principal smiled and looked at Kenshi and Zero, "Well done boys, after discussing this with the Pope, it was determined that you are indeed Mecha Masters and therefore you must be measured and obtain proper garb for the ceremony, luckily you have been measured by the maids under the orders of the head maid of Lashara Earth. Your ceremonial garbs should be delivered no later than this evening."
They all made it back to the home that the academy had provided, but Zero had to admit that he was still quite hungry, especially after that duel, and it wasn't even noon yet. So Kenshi told him they have to wait to sneak out to get the food using their mental link, he then told him to eat at least a candy bar, cause he knows how grumpy he gets when he is hungry.
Taking two candy bars out of his inventory, he handed him one as he began eating his. Still talking to him through the mental link that he loves that Washu made these candy bars that were healthy for them. Zero told him through their mental link if they had some crackers and marshmallows they could make smores making Kenshi laugh.
As the day continued they realized that at this point more than likely Wahanly and Chiaia were busy getting their last modifications done on their ceremonial robes, Kenshi began to hear this odd noise outside, it sounded like two cats meowing, Zero looked around having heard it too. "What is that sound? And why does it sound so familiar?"
He went out of the window to try and find it as Kenshi followed him, hearing in the forest like it was getting further away they ran towards it, but still sounded like the sound was getting further away and sounded like someone was crying. Making it deep into the forest they couldn't hear the cries anymore and had no way to find the source of the sound.
A few minutes later in the home of Tenchi Masaki, Washu walked out of a portal holding two crying cabbits, "You girls are not supposed to be there until they have established their territory. They are living as attendants, they can't take care of both of you." One of them glares at her, "Don't give me that look young lady you are as bad as your mothers at your age."
Fuku hearing this asks Ryo-Ohki if they were that bad when they were their age, Washu said, "Yes, you both never wanted to leave the side of Tenchi or Seina. This is the third time I had to go over there and drag them back here kicking, clawing, and screaming. This was the first time they got close to them. I got no choice but to put them in time out."
Putting them both in liquid-filled pods, they were still glaring at her as they slowly fell asleep. Fuku and Ryo-Ohki asked Washu if this was truly necessary, and she said she wouldn't have done it if it wasn't. Even though she is aware of what they feel for them, after all, her connection to them is as strong as it was to her daughters. "We have to make sure this doesn't happen again because the Three Goddesses of that dimension might consider this an invasion thus an act of war, and we don't need that."
Fuku asked her who are these goddesses, "You know how I am the goddess of wisdom, my sister Tokimi is the goddess of justice, and Tsunami the goddess of light, right? Well over there there is Yuzuha the Goddess of Darkness, and no she is not evil, light, and darkness are not either good or evil, they are neutral. It all depends on the person's intent. Achika is the Goddess of Law, Tenchi's mother in her true form, and last but not least Naja, my old friend the Goddess of Knowledge."
She looked at her sleeping granddaughters, "Achika would have found it funny, Naja would sympathize, but Yuzuha? Yuzuha does not like it when people enter their dimension without asking for their permission, she considers that a crime and she can get the other two behind her, using the law and knowledge to prove her point. So yes, these two nearly caused an inter-dimensional war, three times they almost did this. So they will be in time out till their territory is set up."
Fuku and Ryo-Ohki do understand but it is still sad to see their daughters suffer since it is clear that they do love Kenshi and Zero.
Back on Geminar Zero and Kenshi having found nothing close to what was making that noise decided to forage, they found fruit trees, rivers with such lively fish that they were practically jumping out of the water, all sorts of mushrooms, root vegetables, and five rare fortune mushrooms.
As they were looking at their haul, Kenshi simply said that they could practically live in the forest. But as he said two figures came out of the forest and began to attack them, they both evaded and blocked all of their attacks, Zero even managing to take one of their weapons away from them. Kenshi held his hands up and said violence is not the answer.
They heard a woman giving them an order to the men attacking them to stop. Zero looked at Kenshi and saw that he had a wooden mace in his hand, and asked him where did he get that? Kenshi told him he was fast, and Zero commented that this was from the guy who said that violence was not the answer. Kenshi replied it might not be the answer but he was still willing to defend himself.
Kenshi thanked her for getting him the medicine he needed, the two men looked at her and asked, "Princes Aura do you know them?" She said yes, they are attendants of Empress Lashara. One of the men got angry and asked why are they in the forest it was under the Shurifon Jurisdiction. It is forbidden for anyone to enter the forest without permission.
Aura explained that these boys are not from their dimension so they would not know about the traditions and laws of their domain. One of them said that even if they didn't know the laws they couldn't allow them to pillage and harm the forest. Aura was quick to remind the other dark elves that the bounty of the forest was large enough to provide and that Zero and Kenshi would not be as careless as to abuse the forest.
She immediately began to look at what they had gathered, they had collected quite the bountiful harvest, and even that would be next to nothing for the forest, and then she picked up a mushroom that made the other two dark elves cry tears of joy when they saw it, they couldn't believe it was such a rare mushroom. "No, this can't be it. This mushroom is immensely important for our people and is very hard to come by, how did you ever manage to get this?"
The two forest guards start to tear up and one says that he had some soup with the tiniest sliver of it when he was celebrating entering the fourth forest, the Princess told them to stop crying while she was crying without even noticing, and Kenshi told her that if this mushroom is so important she could have it, and he immediately put his hand inside the basket pulling another one from his inventory and making it look it came from the basket.
"We found six of them. So they can have that one but this one I offer to you as a proposal?" She is shocked to hear that they not only found one but instead found half a dozen. Zero tells her that when it comes to foraging and finding rare treasures, the two of them are experts.
Aura asked if he knew why this mushroom was so important to her and her people? He tells her that he knows how valuable it is. She sits down on the grass. "Kenshi this mushroom is necessary for something that money can't buy, this mushroom has been used in exchange for a male mecha master's sperm," Kenshi tells her he knows about the stud service.
Kenshi asked her if the idea of getting married to a person she never met before bothered her? She says that the number of mechanoids is controlled by the church, and since they can't make more, they have to improve the quality of the pilots instead, "You can train in various disciplines, improve with experience, and even acquire talents, but stamina is something that you must be born with."
She smiles at him, "Mechanoids are cheap, but I rather use a bunch of weapons than risk anyone's life, that is why Mecha Masters are so important, see?" As she accepted the mushroom she left thinking about what kind of proposal was he talking about?
Zero was off walking in the forest when he met a man who was lying on the ground and sent a signal to Kenshi using their mental link. Within a few seconds, Kenshi saw that he was trying to help Ulyte up from the ground, pushing a button on his collar, and time stopped. Only Kenshi and Zero were immune to the effects of the collar but in this case, it also applied to Ulyte since Zero was holding him.
Surprised he looked at Kenshi, "What did you do?" He told him, he stopped time so they could have a private conversation without anyone getting to interfere or listen. "We know who is inside you, she is the sister of our mothers, she is our Aunt, we know of your condition and we can allow both of you to live in bodies of your own."
Activating the door to the lab Zero carries Ulyte into the lab, and continues until he sees the table that he needs, placing Ulyte on the table he looks at him, "Do you wish for us to help you both? We need consent from both of you." Ulyte is seen closing his eyes and after a few moments, Ulyte agrees to have the procedure.
Placing his body after preparing it, in a large tube, and connecting it to a machine. The machine just created a clone of the body of Ulyte, the machine displays stage one completely releasing the original subject.
As Ulyte is taken out of the tube he asks why don't they have the new body? Kenshi tells him that this is only stage one and it will take time for the new body to be stabilized and complete, if they tried to hurry it, this would end up killing both of them.
"So what happens when you stop using that ability of yours?" Kenshi tells him that nothing as soon as either of them uses the ability again time will resume and it will be like not even a second went by, and each of them will be back in the same position when they froze time, however, the lab will continue to work in making the clone stable, but in the meanwhile, they also need to stabilize his health condition before the final stage can take place, and to prevent their aunt from fully taking his body before the new body is complete.
Zero looks at him, "Don't worry we have been trained, Kenshi and I will brew some medicine to help make you better and we will make sure that it is not too strong to make you feel bad. It is a recipe that we learned from one of our mentors, she forced us to call her Big Sis Washu. Fair warning it looks disgusting, tastes not so good but it does work."
As they pressed a button on their collar they reappeared outside of the lab when the time had stopped, Zero was still holding Ulyte and he was carrying him to what seemed to be his room. As they got there Kenshi began to brew the tea, and then remembered that he was weak so they needed to dilute it to make it so that his body could take it without causing harm.
As Ulyte began to drink the tea they saw the person they didn't want to see enter the room, he immediately said,
"Uncle, why are these two here with you?" Ulyte looked at him with a smile, "Nothing to worry about nephew, I was walking in the forest to get some fresh air but suddenly I felt weak, and these two were helping me by taking me back and making some tea to help me feel better, and it seems it works, so there is nothing to worried about."
Dagmyer looked at Kenshi and Zero, "While it is nice that you wanted to help my uncle, attendants are not permitted to enter this room without permission, leave." They said that they would leave but not without telling Ulyte that if he needed any more of the tea then they would be happy to make some more for him later, which Ulyte smiled and said that he would be grateful for it.
As the two left Dagmyer was still staring at the door before he focused on his uncle, "How are things progressing Uncle?" Ulyte told him that everything was proceeding as planned, he was just planting some sensors. Dagmyer told him that he needed to be careful, Ulyte teased him and asked him if he was worried about him and why he pretended not to have a crush on Kenshi since it was so very obvious.
He blushes and sputters a bit before he asks how did he figure it out? "It is not hard nephew, you talk about the boy constantly, it is not only complaining but you sound like a girl in love but is unable to express her feelings, a tsundere. It was fairly obvious nephew."
Kenshi and Zero were walking along till they saw the girl who showed everybody her silky petticoat, Kenshi found her picking flowers and decided to help Yukine when Tenten and her friends saw both of them they decided to walk up to Zero, looking at him, they told him they were very impressed with how he fought in the coliseum and they want to know if he had any tips to improve their piloting skills, and they could talk about it during a picnic.
"Kenshi I am going to help these three since they want to improve their piloting skills, you have a good time with your girlfriend." As he left both Kenshi and Yukine were blushing, He suddenly remembered the scene in the anime and realized that he could end up getting married to Yukine in the future and decided to ask her the tough question.
"Yukine, how do you feel about arranged marriages?" She told him that they were perfectly normal, and she would be up for it, she felt that in this academy making connections and forming friendships would be a nice way to foster world peace, if everyone was a friend then wars would not happen anymore. Pulling another mushroom from his pocket, "Consider this a proposal then, I let you decide which kind of proposal it is."
Chiaia suddenly appeared looking worried, and grabbed Kenshi, "Please tell me he hasn't done anything weird to you." Yukine told her that they simply were having a friendly chat, she became rather happy and began to drag Kenshi away, while Kenshi asked where are they going. To which Chiaia told him Wahanly needed some help in the workshop and he was going to help.
As they arrived at the workshop Wahanly was happy to have both of them help her, they began to help organize the materials and clean the lab as Wahanly wanted, and as they finally put away all the equipment they decided to have a little lunch together, but as they walked out of the lab he looked at something and simply asked Wahanly if she was developing robots? Wahanly became excited and asked Kenshi how did he know about robots?
Kenshi explained that boys in his dimension all knew about robots, Wahanly explained that she was trying to develop a machine that could work outside of the draft, and where mechanoids could not operate, the worker would be instrumental in all sorts of jobs, and endeavors. Kenshi remembered that her plans had been stolen in the anime he once watched. "Wahanly, you are right this invention is magnificent, it is amazing, but it could be improved. I could help you improve upon it but that will have to wait for later."
Chiaia told her that it was more than likely about the upcoming mecha master promotion ceremony since Kenshi and Zero would have to participate. Kenshi tells her that he will be busy during and after the ceremony, however when he is done with everything he will always be glad to help her. Which made Wahanly blush.
As the three of them walked out into a small garden they began to have tea together, "You know Kenshi I don't think that you and your cousin Zero are as rare as people think, I think that summoning people to our dimension has happened many times before in the history of our world."
Kenshi tells her that yes, that she is correct about that, more than likely it was done by actions of a deity or by actions of the church since they seem to control all major technology on the planet. It is quite understandable the church controls education and other aspects of life since the academy is owned and operated by the church, even the development and distribution of sacred mechanoids are strictly regulated by them.
"You can say the church is the central government of the world, and all the other kingdoms are just local states, by controlling military development and education they prevent kingdoms from trying to take over and thus in a way maintain world peace. Each new species they summoned has essentially improved the lives of everyone and most people accredit it to the church, so the church is widely beloved, and the people are well looked after, see?"
As they talked Mexiah walked over to Kenshi and she pressed her body against his, "No fair Kenshi, you are having fun with these girls but not having it with me." A bunch of students showed up and one of them told her she promised to spend time with all of them, she tried to claim that she had plans with Kenshi and his friends, but the students were not buying and said that they made plans with her weeks in advance before Kenshi and his friends arrived to the holy land.
Being defeated by their logic she agreed to leave with the other girls but not before telling Kenshi that she wanted to spend some more time with him when she had the time to spend with him. She then told the girls that she would allow them each to have a turn with her and as she did she kissed one of them on the cheek. After a brief farewell, they all left leaving Kenshi, Wahanly, and Chiaia in the garden.
