Kenshi said that Big Sis Mexiah is popular with girls, and then he heard Wahanly say that she is popular in more than one way. He then said yes that is exactly what he is talking about.
In Ulyte's room, Ulyte mentioned that he felt a lot better and that it was more than likely the strange herbal concoction that Kenshi and Zero had made for him, Neizai told him that he appeared to not need an afternoon nap, or not need to change places. "How long until the new body is complete for the transfer?" Neizai asked to which Ulyte could only tell her a guess, it would at most be a month to a year.
Neizai tells him that she hopes it's within a month, and Ulyte tells her that it would depend on how fast Kenshi can finish it, so they might need to help him somehow. Neizai asked how is the progress of his search going, "Not bad, I have gotten some general location readings, it appears that it is hiding behind a barrier, but I found two extra readings which have me quite concerned." Neizai comments that this is different from before.
As they were going to continue their discussion she told him that someone was headed toward the room. A few moments later Kenshi is seen knocking at the door. Ulyte opens the door and greets him, "Kenshi what can I do for you?" Kenshi tells him he wanted to check up on him and to ask if he wished to have some more tea, and also to ask how is his Auntie doing?
He smiles and makes Neizai think that if she only had her own body. Kenshi decided to share with Ulyte and his Aunt about how happy his mother was and how his family was in the other dimension if only to help his Aunt feel better. As they got to the talk about his training Ulyte asked "What exactly did they train you in?" Kenshi said that it is not a matter of what they trained him, the real question is what did they not train him in? He laughed and said the answer was Video Games.
This made both sides laugh, Neizai found it adorable, Ulyte found it funny, and Kenshi felt nostalgic for some reason when Ulyte dropped the bomb that Dagmyer was actually in love with him. Kenshi asked, "Really? How would he feel if he became a woman, I wonder." Not realizing he said this out loud, Ulyte then said "Actually he did say that if he was a girl he would confess his feelings for you, but since he is not he would not do so."
Kenshi laughs and tells him that it is very interesting and thanks to him. The new body should be ready between three months and a year, to which Ulyte asked him if there was any way to speed things up? Kenshi told him that there was no way to speed up the stabilization of the new body, if they hurried it, the body would be too unstable and cause the death of both of them.
Looking at the clock Ulyte told Kenshi that it was 4 PM his ceremonial garb should have been delivered and maybe he should go to get a final fitting before the ceremony, sadly agreeing Kenshi decided to leave the room.
As Kenshi arrives he finds that Zero is also getting a final fitting for his ceremonial garb, Kenshi asks him how he enjoys his time with his new girlfriends, and Zero not happy to be teased tells him that he probably enjoyed being with them, more than Kenshi did with his girlfriend, and asked how is Yukine doing?
Kenshi told him he had every intention of going that far with Yukine but unfortunately, his attempt at romance was cut short by the interference of one Chiaia Flan, which Zero told him that it was too bad. Kenshi tried to deny the possibility that Zero slept with all three of his girlfriends, but Zero simply said gentlemen have no memories, which made Kenshi deadpan.
Kenshi tells him, "You may have won the battle Zero, but not the war." Zero told him that it was his mother who was the one that ordered him to have a harem, and he is sad to make Kenshi suffer but because he loves his mother too much to disappoint her and because he refuses to lose.
After they found out what they had to wear, the boys began to swear if these perverts were alive, they wouldn't be after they got their hands on them. Much to their horror, the head maid said that they both looked dashing.
They asked if they could just wear some nice, wholesome, business suits, the head maid no because that would be breaking tradition, and they would not be the first male sacred mecha masters to break tradition since they were serving Empress Lashara Earth.
After the fitting was done, the clothes were placed inside the capsules. Zero asked what if the capsules were to mysteriously burst into flames? The head maid said whoever set them on fire, would suffer painful consequences while saying this in a very scary voice. That made Kenshi and Zero think of their grandmother.
As this was happening Lashara was supposed to take a bath, but she refused to take a bath because the bathroom was designed by her Aunt in the home provided to her by the academy, "I refuse to take a bath in that gaudy monstrosity." One of the maids said it was a gift from the mother of Maria Nanadan.
She looked at the bath and began to shake her head and simply said who else would make something this horrible? Flashy, over-decorated, and impractical, she couldn't stand looking at it much less even thinking of taking a bath in it.
So they decided to go to the Swan but she found out that the bathrooms on the ship were not working. She immediately called Wahanly and told her to fix it. Kenshi and Chiaia heard this and said to Wahanly that they would be willing to help her. "No need guys, this is a routine repair, I will get this done in a jiffy." As they reached the area she opened a compartment door that showed many intricate designs on some disks.
She smiled and looked at her tools, "So one of the control disks has broken, I just need to replace it and everything should be back to normal." Kenshi seeing some crystals decided to take some for research but upon seeing him Chiaia hit him hard causing him to fall into the water pipe that leads to the bathroom.
Thinking to himself this was going as planned, he put his hands in front and waited for the moment that he would stick out of the lion's mouth. As he did he heard Lashara scream and asked Kenshi what are you doing in there? Forcing himself out of the lion's mouth before it gets plugged simply said, "Let's just say that I was forced into this position and leave it that. Since I am here Princess, I mean Empress, have you thought of my marriage proposal yet?"
Lashara said she hadn't had enough time to fully decide but she was thinking about it when Kenshi slipped on a bar of soup when he tried to walk out of the bath and fell on top of Lashara. As this happens the head maid goes to check on the Empress, and when she sees her holding onto Kenshi standing up, she screams that this was inappropriate.
What is the meaning of this?" Lashara said that she would explain after they got back to the mansion and 10 minutes later they arrived in a room in the mansion Lashara told her headmaid that they just made a mistake, and the head maid told her that they could not afford the rumors to spread that she was not pure, and Lashara said that it would be a good idea if she didn't scream about it, to which the head maid said that Lashara was probably right about that. Both Chiaia and Kenshi apologized and promised to be more careful in the future, Kenshi reminds everyone that technically he did ask Lashara's hand in marriage but she has not given him an answer yet.
Lashara looks at Kenshi and smiles, "It is true, but I am still weighing my options, you just have to wait a little longer." Kenshi asks about the progress of buying a ship, and she tells him that tragically not too good, as there are not that many good prospects so far. The only ones she found were like the swan was smaller.
Zero then looked at her and said, "Alright if there are no good prospects, let's instead find an island that is bigger than the Swan by at least two to four times bigger, and we can convert it to a warship." She does admit that there are a few floating islands that meet their new requirements.
Kenshi tells her to buy the biggest one they can get, "As you wish sir, it will take about three months to get all the paperwork for the sale, register, and present the records to the church. After that, you will have to convince the church to recognize it as an independent sovereign nation."
The next day they put on what they essentially a pair of yoga shorts, a yoga compress shirt, sandals, a cape, a dog paw cane, and a cape tied with a dog paw pin. The only thing is that they were embarrassed and it was obvious from the way they were blushing. Till they saw that Wahanly and Chiaia were wearing a bikini and the cat version of what they were wearing.
Seeing them come closer, Kenshi told them that they looked beautiful, which made them both blush. They all decided to go to the coliseum, as they reached the entrance of the coliseum they saw three statues, one on the right was holding a sword, one on top of the arch holding a scale, and the one on the left was praying. Through their mental link, Kenshi asked if Zero didn't think that those statues sort of reminded them of somebody? Zero said that the one on the right looked like Washu's friend Naja, but why? The one on top of the arch looked like Tenchi's mom from the Tenchi Universe Series, and the one on the left looked like the one from Daughter of Darkness. Kenshi agreed with him, he asked Chiaia who are the statues of? Chiaia told him they were the three goddesses, the goddess of Darkness, Law, and Knowledge. Surprisingly the boys decided to investigate this later.
They began to realize that maybe there were more people than they were expecting as they saw more and more women dressed like Wahanly and Chiaia, they each began floating on a platform floating in line until they reached the inside of the arena until they all landed on the massive floating platform.
The principal called to start the ceremony, and she started to call for the girls in alphabetical order starting with Chiaia Flan who was called forward she answered that she was present she went forward, kneeled, got the cat ears headband, and turned around lifted her cane showing her bikini. People cheered and that continued till they reached when Zero and Kenshi had to do the same thing except with a dog ear headband.
It was near dawn when the two cousins had finished the hunting and gathering, collecting seven more rare fortune mushrooms. Zero got four and Kenshi got three, Kenshi complained that Zero managed to get four, and Zero told Kenshi he also got fish, fruits, and some rather tasty beaver. As they were cleaning, butchering, smoking, and preserving the food they saw Chiaia do her sword practice, when Kenshi got up, went over to her, and gave her some tips.
He began to touch and help her move her body into better positions as she used her sword, causing her to improve her stance, she was blushing as Kenshi touched her, and after a few minutes, she did as he told her, she realized that it was a lot easier to use her sword if she did as Kenshi told and showed her.
As Kenshi returned to Zero's side who was drying fish he heard his cousin accuse him of doing that to show off using their mental link, to which Kenshi replied why would he do that, Zero shot back because he knew him too well not to realize what he was doing.
As the maid told them that breakfast was about to be served they put everything they had preserved in their inventory and decided to go to eat breakfast, Lashara told both of them that she had talked with the Principal and she had agreed to give them a job working in the dorms. He got up, walked over, and kneeled, "Thank you, my Empress." Making Lashara, Chiaia and the maids present blush.
Lashara accuses him that he is trying to get her to agree to his marriage proposal, smiling with a Cheshire grin, Kenshi denied claiming he had no idea what she was talking about.
As the breakfast finished both Lashara and Chiaia had to get ready to go to the academy and Kenshi walked with Zero toward the office of the Academy principal, realizing that the office was also the office of the dorm manager.
They did manage to see Mexiah surrounded by a gaggle of pretty cute young women, Mexiah of course greeted the boys by waving her hand, Zero told her to have a nice day, and Kenshi told her that if she needed any help be sure to find him later.
As they walked they were embarrassed as they heard several young ladies calling them cute. The path to the dorm director's office was rather easy to find, as they walked in they greeted the principal, "Greeting Principal, I hope you had a lovely day, we are here to talk about the work we will do in the dorms." Kenshi smiled at her and she began to laugh, saying it was rather refreshing to see someone so serious about work.
"Well boys you will work in the dorms, we will assign you different tasks to find what you are capable of, you, of course, will not be paid a standard salary, rather it will be based on how much you accomplish." Zero mentioned that the tougher the tasks and how many they finish would determine how much they earn, so merit-based. She found it funny that Zero didn't object.
Kenshi smiled and told Zero that they would do what they usually do, see who is better at their work than the other, Zero told him that he would have to pay the standard wager. The principal asked what is the standard wager? Zero told her that it was nothing major, the loser would have to cook the favorite dish of the person who won.
Kenshi told her that there was one problem with the bet, she asked what was that problem, Zero told her that they had multiple recipes they liked, so they had to pick which dish was on the line, Kenshi said chicken, beef ramen if he won, and Zero said fried fish casserole. They agreed to the bet and shook hands, to which the Principal wondered why did they that, Zero told him because it gave them a chance to get some cooking experience.
Kenshi told her it was also a motivation to do a great job and try to do their best, which meant trying to do more than the other. "We have learned to do this from our family." The Principal said that it sounds like they both have quite an interesting family, to which Zero said indeed. Kenshi told her that they love their families dearly.
She began to walk them down the corridors that the workers would use, "Essentially you will be working in the dorm, you will be helping clean and maintain the dorms that include the boy dorms, the upperclassman dorms, and independent dorms, and the underclassman dorms, but the boys have their servants and underclassman dorms pretty much take care of themselves, so it is not surprising that you two will work in the upperclassman dorms."
"The upperclassman dorms do not have to work they have earned that right since they were all knighted as Mecha Masters, all other than royalty and nobles are not allowed to bring in their servants, however, you should be careful that the girls in the upperclassman dorms will try to drag you into their lairs, and you must report it to us immediately."
As the elevator begins to go down, Kenshi asks what would happen if some of those girls were their girlfriends, and she tells him that as long as they are careful and the seal is intact nothing would happen, as long as it is consensual between both two parties.
They walked into an office that looked like more of a command center than anything else, the Principal smiled, "Hannah, I would like for you to meet both Kenshi and Zero, I told you about them." Hanah complained about what good could she do with them since they were just boys, and then the Principal reminded her that she was in no position to be picky, and realized that the Principal was correct.
She began to show them different parts of where they would work, Kenshi mentioned that he had no idea that something like that was underground, that it looked more like a factory, "The academy is full of privileged nobles, everything unsightly is hidden underground, we are like feet hidden under swans. "
Kenshi mentioned that all this is probably powered by Ahou energy didn't that make people sick, Hanah mentioned that the energy is transmitted through wires so they had little concern about that, the real problem is that upperclassman taking away their favorite attendants with them after they graduate, she mentioned it is frustrating to spend time and money educating staff for them to end up leaving when they ended up getting bribed by the graduating students.
They saw a massive facility and they noticed that they could practically see sunlight, Zero asked if this wasn't underground to which Hannah told him it was, that this was their main dockyard, but this also served as a parking dock for the students' private ships, they had to cycle the lights to match the day and night cycle outside since some of these ships have their own gardens.
They were introduced to Jozzy, "Jozzy I like for you to meet Zero and Kenshi." She complained about what exactly is she supposed to do with them, to which Hannah slapped her on the back and told her that she said pretty much the same thing but Hannah reminded her she would hire a Koroh if she needed to. Zero and Kenshi glared at the comparison.
Jozzy decided to show them how to clean a room, they needed to clean, make the bed, put on some clean linens, and take the dirty laundry from the basket and let the room air out, she would be doing the next floor if they needed any help. Zero began to smile, as she left, and without saying a word they began to go through each room and clean and do things as quickly as possible, and in a matter of minutes they had finished so they decided to see if Jozzy needed any help.
When they met her she was shocked and asked them if they needed help, Zero told her that they were done, and came to see if she needed help, and she exclaimed that she was not even 12.5 percent done, she decided to check on their work which she found that it was spotless as she went and looked at each room.
With tears in her eyes, she heard them say they could redo them if they did them wrong, she told them that they did good, as she began to watch them go through each room in quick succession, and exclaimed, "Finally I got two good ones." Next, the two cousins were ironing clothes and throwing them into bins as quickly as possible Jozzy mentally thought that the others were in awe, she mentioned that the others should work harder before the new guys showed them up. As the day progressed Kenshi and Zero kept finishing work in one job after another, doing everything from construction to sewing, and they kept pulling things off that experienced people would be called tough, but to them, it was rather simple.
Chiaia and Wahanly decided to talk and Wahanly mentioned that Kenshi and Zero were getting pretty popular in the dorms since they started working there she asked her if it was true that Kenshi is Mexiah's newest little playtoy, Chiaia, of course, denied it to which Wahanly said that both were also quite popular since they are the newest attendants of Empress Lashara, not to mention they are running around the academy looking like a sexy pair of Koroh, she even mentions that they are sort of asking for it.
As Kenshi and Zero ran towards another job they immediately stopped and saw Princess Aura and greeted her asking if she was feeling alright, she said that she was feeling fine, but asked them what were they doing? Zero told her that they had both started to work for the academy, which made her smile, "Excellent, I was about to call for some help. A friend lost something that is very precious and needs some help recovering it."
Kenshi asked if the wind blew it down the cliff, Aura told him that no, it was bullies, some students were sacred mecha masters candidates and some weren't due to family circumstances. She mentioned that it was below the draft so they couldn't use an aircraft to retrieve it. Zero and Kenshi smiled the girl told Aura that it was alright, but Aura mentioned that it was a gift from her mother and said that they would get it back, all they need is a little rope.
Kenshi immediately jumped down the cliff and grabbed some vines as he reached the handkerchief, and quickly placed it in his pocket as he began to climb up the cliff and jumped over the railing. He took the handkerchief and saw that it was dirty, "Oh, this got dirty I will clean it." The girl decided to take hold of his hand and accept the handkerchief as it was. Saying that it was perfectly fine and said she could take care of it herself. Kenshi said it was no problem to help a damsel in distress even if that damsel is a knight herself, kissing her hand, "I will gladly do it again if you need."
Aura told him that what he did was dangerous, and Kenshi told her that it was not, the cliff had sturdy vines and plenty of places where he could climb up, the girl still decided to thank Princess Aura and Kenshi, and Aura said that they should hurry along to class, turning around Kenshi noticed that Zero was not present, it seems that Zero decided to go to the next job and thus Kenshi decides run to try and catch up to his cousin. Unknown to Kenshi the green-haired girl was blushing.
Zero was doing work to repair the stones in a pathway by the time Kenshi arrived, "You bastard, how could you leave me back there alone?" Zero told him if he had time to stand around the dark elf princess and flirt then he didn't need help, and so he wanted to do something useful.
Meanwhile, in the staff meeting, the Principal and several heads of the staff were talking about the two new hires, they were talking about if Kenshi and Zero would develop bad habits, but they were amazed at how they worked and it was their first day, Jozzy said that those two had this line of work down pat, and then their others began to argue about who would get the new hires.
The Principal said that they needed to be considerate the boys could only do so much by themselves, and they would be helping every department because they only have one body each, as the others were gawking out the window as they saw Zero walking with a tree trunk and Kenshi was holding several bags of cement without much trouble, as they began to work faster and faster the principal noticed and said, "I think they will be just fine."
Kenshi and Zero began working in the kitchen, Kenshi was working on the stove and Zero was baking, as they began to prepare meals, one of the chefs decided to mention that there was no time to slack off since they had plenty of orders. Kenshi decided to ask him if he was doing everything correctly when the chef looked and was rather impressed by his presentation thinking that only royal cooks used such techniques.
"Where did you learn to do this son?" Kenshi told him that he and his cousin learned by helping their families cook, and one of his sisters was an expert when it came to cooking. The chef smiled and told him that he needed to deliver three servings of that dish to a pair of students who had asked for him and his cousin by name.
As they both delivered the tea and the lunchboxes they saw that it was Princess Aura and some lady they never met before, Zero placed the food and drinks on the table as Aura greeted Kenshi and Zero, "Kenshi this is Lady Lithia Po China, she is the granddaughter of the current pope, Lithia this is Kenshi and his cousin Zero, I do believe you heard of them." Lithia remarked that they must be the boys she was currently talking about.
Kenshi greeted them both saying it was a pleasure to meet them, Lithia then commented that he was not exactly what she was expecting, she thought that Kenshi would be a wild dog, Aura told her that Kenshi was not a wild dog if anything he was a proud wolf, to which Lithia mentioned that it didn't change the fact that he was a wild beast.
Kenshi asked through their mental link why was he being called a wild animal while Zero was getting ignored, Zero told him through the link that maybe it was because they were not interested in him at all. Girls tend to tease the ones they are interested in, Kenshi laughed and said that his cousin might be right about that.
Turning to Aura and Lithia Kenshi said that they made some special tea since they heard that Lithia was not feeling well, Ulyte is doing better since he was drinking the tea that both of them made for him, which caused Lithia to smile, "I do hate medicines, but I guess it is worth giving it a try." She said that she would tell Kenshi later if the tea helped.
Both Kenshi and Zero waited to be excused so they could leave and get back to work. Zero even mentioned through their mental link that this was torture. Kenshi to make it worse pulled two rare fortune mushrooms out of his pocket, and looked at Lithia, "And since this is our first meeting you can have this, as a proposal placed the second one on her desk and asked Princess Aura to give it to the green haired girl the next time that Aura sees her and tell her the same thing I told the both of you that is a proposal."
Princess Aura was beside herself as she saw Kenshi giving her the mushroom and the other one on the desk for Lapis, Zero only thought that this was the reason why he wanted to remain in the kitchen doing work, instead, he had to see his cousin flirt and propose to yet another girl, and she was so beautiful too.
Kenshi saw Princess Aura beside herself, and decided to ask what was wrong? She thought that Kenshi had proposed to her, Kenshi told her the proposal was whatever she wanted to be, if she wanted to marry, form an alliance, or be just friends it was for her to decide, he told them harems are not only legal in his family but actually expected. Surprising all three girls including the one that was hiding.
Kenshi and Zero decided to return to the kitchen, as they left they finally got to open the lunchboxes and they were amazed at what they saw, as Aura and Lithia ate the food and Lithia had some of the tea along with the meal.
