Trevor looked through the window on Olivia's hospital door and was pleased to see she was awake. She crouched down to Katie and Noah and spoke seriously to them. "Mommy might not be feeling well, so do your best to be quiet for her. Okay?" They both nodded furiously, determined to be a good. Trevor opened the door a fraction, grabbing Olivia's attention. "Do you feel up to a couple of visitors?" he asked quietly.
"Only if its my favourite people," Olivia said in a very weak and hoarse voice that scared Trevor slightly, even though she was smiling.
"Go on Katie and Noah," Trevor said, opening the door further and they bounded in, a smile on their face as they pproached Olivia.
"Hey my babies," Liv said, ruffling their hair.
"You sound all wrong mommy," Noah said in an upbeat voice.
"I'll sound better soon," she said with a smile. "I missed you all so much."
"Good," they alll said.
"How are you?" Olivia asked Trevor.
"Tired," he admitted. "I didn't sleep much."
"I'm sure you didn't," she said. He paused as Katie and Noah started chatting to themselves, perched on their moms hospital bed.
Trevor smiled and kissed her. She sighed with pure happiness when he stopped. She looked deeply into his brown eyes for a long time. Until the pain medication she had been given made her close her eyes with tiredness.
"We will be here when you wake up," Trevor said.
"Mm,"" Olivia said quietly, letting herself go. Trevor watched her for a moment, wondering if she was asleep. He decided to take a chance and said " I love you," Trevor murmured into her ear.
"I heard that," Olivia said quietly with a smile over her face and her eyes still closed. "I love you too and I love our children Katie and Noah so so much," was the last thing she said before she drifted off into sleep.
