Last time, the children arrive at a desert to find the next stone. Upon their arrival, Natalie got caught in a storm and got separated from everyone else. She ended up being found by a benevolent digimon named Wisemon. Once he took care of her, he showed her around a place called Monoba, and it was there she found the stone crest of love. He also shared some insightful wisdom about love and life. However, MetalSeadramon has also managed to find his way there. With no one else to aid her, Natalie might have to face this Dark Master alone.

Love for Life
Poor Toby is on his own now. Sora's parents obviously are watching over him, but now the poor kid is feeling all kinds of lonely and miserable. Both of his parents have been taken, including his uncle, and now his big sister, and even his cousin, are fighting for their lives to save them. He doesn't even have a clue as to where they might be, so he doesn't know if they're all okay.
"Poor Toby." Gabumon said. Since their partners have been taken captive, Gabumon and Sora's Biyomon had to stay behind to watch over him.
"This is crazy. We should be out looking for Matt and Sora." Sora's Biyomon claimed as she hated she can't do anything to help her partner.
"I understand how you feel." Gabumon claimed. "I want to go out there and turn over every rock to find Matt. However, I also know that they would want us to watch over and care for their children in this time of distress. We can't do anything for Natalie now, so we must focus on Toby. He needs us now." Biyomon hated to admit it because she wants to save Sora, but Gabumon was right. After that, Gabumon went over to see how poor Toby was doing. "Are you doing okay, Toby?"
"Are they ever coming back?" Toby asked
"Your parents? Natalie? Of course they are. Your big sister is going to save Mommy and Daddy." Gabumon said. However, that didn't make Toby feel better as he began crying. "I want Mommy and Daddy. I want Natalie to come back." Gabumon did what he could and hugged Toby, acting like a big teddy bear to comfort him. Biyomon couldn't ignore this and got in the hug as well.
"Don't worry, Toby. We're here for you." Biyomon said as those two tried to give him as much love as they could.

The Digital World
Natalie is in a serious situation now. MetalSeadramon has managed to find his way to Monoba, and now she might not be able to do anything to stop him.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Wisemon said.
"It's MetalSeadramon! He wants the stone that's in the monolith!" Natalie said.
"What do we have here?" MetalSeadramon questioned as he stared down and noticed Natalie. "You kids are starting to become a nuisance, but what do I see? You seem to be on your own now, little girl."
"The stone!" Natalie said. She hurried off as fast as she could to get the stone before MetalSeadramon can do anything, but that won't do any good.
"You dare turn your back to me? That's a big mistake." MetalSeadramon said as he was charging power for another attack.
"No you don't!" UlforceVeedramon came flying in and smashed himself against MetalSeadramon and stopped him from doing anything. That was when Natalie looked up and saw CannonBeemon was there as well. That meant the boys managed to find her.
"Natalie!" Biyomon called as she flew down and hugged her. "I'm so glad to see that you're okay!"
"I'm fine, Biyomon, but that might not last with MetalSeadramon here.
"Natalie!" Natalie looked up and saw the others being carried down by their digimon while UlforceVeedramon and Seraphimon stood ready to face MetalSeadramon. "Are you okay?" Benson asked.
"Yeah. You guys managed to get here just in time." Natalie said. "I already know where the stone is. We just can't let MetalSeadramon get near there."
"You fools think you can stop me? You don't really have the best track record." MetalSeadramon claimed. "Besides, given where we currently are, I brought some help." That was when a flock of Airdramon came in and breathed fire at them.
"You're going to need more than that to stop us, MetalSeadramon!" Natalie said. "Biyomon, let's take it to them!"
"Right!" Biyomon called as she flew up.
"Biyomon digivolve to...Birdramon!"
"Birdramon digivolve to...Garudamon!"
Garudamon flew up in the air and joined the others in the fight.
"Follow me! The stone is in the monolith!" Natalie called as she showed the way.
"In the what?" Musuko questioned, but they followed her regardless. Natalie showed them the monolith up some stairs. Once they climbed up the stairs, they could see the stone is just above them.
"There it is!" Natalie said.
"But how are we going to get it down?" Koji questioned.
"It's not just getting it down that I'm worried about." Natalie said.
"What do you mean?" Benson questioned.
"This Monolith is considered sacred to this place. I'm worried that removing the stone would be really bad and that the digimon would hate it." Natalie said.
"Are you serious? Natalie, we can't worry about damaging some rock right now." Musuko debated. "Besides, MetalSeadramon won't hesitate to destroy it to get the stone. We finally have a chance to get a stone. We can't let it slip by."
"I know that, but it's not as simple as you might think." Natalie claimed.
"Wait! That was when they all noticed Wisemon as he made his way up the stairs. "What is the meaning of this? What is going on?" Wisemon questioned.
"Well, it's like this..." Natalie said as she tried to explain the situation to him.

The Fight
Meanwhile, the digimon were busy dealing with MetalSeadramon and the Airdramon. Garudamon, Lillymon, and Angewomon could deal with the Airdramon easily. That left Seraphimon and UlforceVeedramon to deal with MetalSaedramon. In fact, that is what they are doing right now.
"As much as I would like to finish you off right now, I have a stone to collect. Now, get out of my way." MetalSeadramon said.
"I don't think so. You're not getting that stone." UlforceVeedramon claimed.
"Ray of Victory!"
"Strike of the Seven Stars!" Both of them attacked together, but MetalSeadramon was able to slither around both of their attacks. After he did that, he forced his way through. He bashed against both digimon and knocked them out of the way.
"The stone is mine!" MetalSeadramon claimed as he kept flying off to the stone.
"Oh no!" Garudamon said as she noticed him heading for the stone, so she attempted to stop him herself.
...
The Monolith
"So, that's why we have to take the stone." Natalie said as she finished explaining the situation to Wisemon. She didn't want to disturb something sacred to Wisemon and the other digimon that live there. "I'm sorry, but we need the stone."
"You don't need to apologize. I understand." Wisemon claimed. "The monolith might be a symbol to us, but we don't need the stone inside. It's meant to represent unity and love for life. If you need the stone to save your loved ones, I understand."
"Thank you." Natalie said as she and the others were glad to hear that.
"Of course, we still have to figure out how to get it down." Musuko said as they still don't have that.
"The stone!" MetalSeadramon called as he arrived and found it. "So the next stone is in that giant piece of rock, is it? That means all I have to do is crush it and the next stone crest can be mine."
"No! You can't destroy this!" Natalie called. "This monolith represents unity! It's something so important that it shouldn't be destroyed!"
"Do I look like I care? It just looks like one giant rock to me." MetalSeadramon claimed. "In fact, I think I'll get rid of all of you with it!" He claimed as he charged another attack.
"No!" Garudamon called. She came down from above and smashed against the top of his head and redirected his attack. It caused him to misfire and blasted the stairs instead of the monolith itself. Still, the explosion blew the kids and Wisemon away from it. "Natalie!"
"Get off me!" MetalSeadramon called as he pushed himself up and managed to push Garudamon off. Despite how powerful he is, Garudamon still had to try and fight back.
"Wing Blade!" Garudamon unleashed her fire bird, but the attack just simply bounced off MetalSeadramon.
"Pathetic." MetalSeadramon mocked. Garudamon didn't give up. She flew right at him and tried to attack with her claws, but MetalSeadramon blasted her and knocked her right out of the sky. "When will you kids realize that you're in way over your head? Your parents were more of a challenge. At least they had dumb luck when they defeated us. Now, the next stone is mine." He looked right at the stone and it was his for the taking.
"No!" Natalie called as she got in the way between MetalSeadramon and the monolith. "I won't let you!"
"And what are you going to do about it?" MetalSeadramon mocked. "A puny human like you couldn't hope to defeat the likes of me."
"I won't let you destroy this monolith!" Natalie said.
"And why do you even care so much?" MetalSeadramon questioned.
"Because I care for others. Simple as that. This monolith represents love and unity! The digimon here live in harmony because they all believe in unity, and hold a strong love for life itself, even if that life is as horrible as yours. I won't let you destroy this, this place, or the digimon that live here. I care for the digimon, I care for those who live here, I care for this world, so I won't let you destroy whatever you please."
"How touching." MetalSeadramon mocked as he couldn't care less about it. "Now move out of the way. I won't hesitate to destroy you just because you're a little girl." He warned her, but Natalie stood her ground. She came to find this of great significance. That's why she won't let it be destroyed, but the others are getting worried about her. "Move."
"I won't." Natalie said.
"I'm not kidding. Move!" MetalSeadramon demanded.
"I won't." Natalie refused.
"Give this up. You can't win." MetalSeadramon said.
"I won't." Natalie said for a third time as she isn't backing down.
"You asked for it!" MetalSeadramon claimed as he charged straight at her.
"Natalie!" They all called as she thought she was finished, but Natalie's strong love for everyone caused a reaction from the stone that it started to shine.
"What's this?!" MetalSeadramon questioned. The stone shined an intense light. It even removed itself from the stone and came down to her.
"What's happening?"Natalie questioned as she didn't get it either, but Garudamon found herself engulfed in power.
"Natalie!" Garudamon called as she felt power the likes of which she has never felt before.
"Garudamon digivolve to..." Garudamon began to digivolve. The data of her body broke apart, but it was rearranged into a brand new and powerful body. "Phoenixmon!"
The power from the stone allowed Garudamon to digivolve to mega. Garudamon flew up in the air and shining so beautifully.
"Incredible!" Musuko said.
"Garudamon was able to digivolve to mega! MetalSeadramon could be in trouble now!" Benson said.
"This doesn't change anything! That stone is mine!" MetalSeadramon said as he attempted to take it, but Phoenixmon flew in and used her talons to pull him away from the others and managed to take him back into the desert. "Get your feet off me!" He called as he managed to break free, but Phoenixmon isn't finished.
"Crimson Flare!" Phoenixmon unleashed a blast of intense fire that did some damage to MetalSeadramon since he is pure evil.
"River of Power!" MetalSeadramon fought back as he tried blasting her, Phoenixmon was able to avoid the attack and got another one ready.
"Starlight Explosion!" Phoenixmon unleashed a radiant wave of light and fire. MetalSeadramon got caught in the blast and suffered from some serious damage from it. Even he couldn't withstand the mighty wrath of the Phoenix.
"Now that's how you fry your sea serpents." Musuko said as they all were amazed. They might have actually won this one. The other digimon were able to defeat the Airdramon, and it looks like all was good. The stone was even secured with it safely in Natalie's hands.
...
Later
Now that the battle was over, the kids finally got a stone. Everything was well again. Especially when the kids stuck around to help out.
"That was incredible, but how did Natalie get Garudamon to digivolve?" Mason questioned.
"I say the stone has some part in it." Wisemon said. "Although, with it being the stone crest of love, Natalie's love for others might have made it possible. Natalie you truly have a love for life."
"I guess I do." Natalie said as she feels like she upheld the crest well, and she's sure her mother would be most proud.
"That is why I know I can trust you with that stone." Wisemon said. "Continue with that and you will grow stronger and stronger."
"Thank you." Natalie claimed. The team is even stronger already. Natalie's love for others is what allowed this. At last, the kids have a a stone. Maybe they can use it to finally get their parents back.

In the next adventure, the children attempt to get another stone. With only three left, they must succeed, and some old friends of their parents might be able to help.
