Last time, MetalSeadramon launched his attack in order to get stone crest of love. The children fought back, but they were still no match for the likes of his power. Natalie took a brave stand against MetalSeadramon when he attempted to take the stone. Her bravery and devotion to others awakened a power in the stone. The power caused Garudamon to digivolve into Phoenixmon. With her new power, Phoenixmon was able to match him and the children now have a stone.

Music of the Frogs
"Oh man. I got sand in places a serpent shouldn't have places." MetalSeadramon complained. After his battle with Phoenixmon, he found himself buried in sand, yet was able to dig himself out. "I wasn't expecting something like that." As he recovered from that last battle, he looked up to see CannonBeemon entering hyperspace. "Rats! Those kids escaped, and they got the stone! Well, this isn't over just yet."
...
The Digidestined
"Wow. It's really pretty." Koji said as they were all amazed with the stone crest they managed to get.
"Yeah. We didn't get a good look at the others, but you can see how beautiful these stones are." Biyomon said.
"I'm just glad we managed to get our hands on one." Mason said. "So, now that we have one, what are we going to do now?"
"This thing really does have a lot of power. Biyomon digivolved to mega so easily, and she had a lot of power. She was able to fend off against MetalSeadramon." Natalie said.
"Makes me kind of worried." Benson said. "If one stone can do that, what would the Dark Masters do once they have all eight."
"Well, it doesn't matter." Musuko said. "Now that we have this one, we should try to contact the Dark Masters. I say we exchange the stone for our parents." They were all rather surprised to hear him propose that.
"After all the trouble we went through to get just one, you want to give it away?!" Veemon said. "Besides, aren't we suppose to prevent the Dark Masters from getting the stones?"
"I know that, but now we have something they want." Musuko said. "It could be our best chance to get them back. Besides, there are still three stones out there. We'll just have to get those before they do."
"It's risky, but we need to get our parents back." Natalie said. It is a big risk, but they are just kids that want to see their parents again.
"Does anyone know how to make a call on this thing?" Veemon questioned as they tried to figure that out. Once they all agreed on what they're doing, they tried to make contact with the Dark Masters. By some luck, they managed to pull it off. Piedmon appeared in the screen.
"Well, this is a surprise." Piedmon said. "What do I owe the pleasure of having you children contact me?"
"We called to make a deal." Musuko said as he held out the stone.
"The stone of love. Yes, MetalSeadramon just told me you took the last stone." Piedmon said.
"Well give you the stone in exchange for our parents." Musuko offered. They all braced themselves for what is to come next. 'He's sure to take it since he wants all the stones.'
"No deal." Piedmon said. They were all surprised that he turned down the offer. "One for eight? That doesn't really seem like a fair trade. Call back when all the stones have been found." He claimed before ending the transmission. That didn't go the way they expected at all.
"I can't believe he said no." Mason said.
"He might be a psycho clown, but he's smart. He wants all the stones found first." Benson said. "That way, whatever stones we do have, we'll have to trade them for our parents."
"He wants to make sure he'll have all the stones." Gatomon said. "That's assuming we can even trust he'll just let them go."
"Well, it looks like we might be looking for the next stone soon." Palmon said. "We're coming out of hyperspace." They all saw the end coming up and soon found themselves in a forest area. "Wow. I like it here with all the green."
"Well, since they turned down our offer, we might as well look for the next stone." Benson said. "I've been thinking... Biyomon digivolved to her mega level because of the stone. How come we didn't have that reaction with any of the others?"
"Isn't that because we didn't have the stones?" Koji questioned.
"But Natalie didn't have it either." Benson said. "I think it might have something to do with the fact that Natalie holds the power of the crest of love, her mother's crest. The physical forms of the crests were meant to help their digimon become stronger."
"So, you think the stone helped Biyomon digivolved to mega because of the crest's power that I hold?" Natalie questioned.
"So, would the stone with the crest of sincerity help Palmon become mega?" Mason wondered.
"Maybe, but we haven't found that one yet." Benson said.
"Well, maybe that's the one we'll find here." Mason said. "You said there are only three left."
"Which three are those again?" Musuko questioned.
"I believe they would be the ones of courage, light, and sincerity." Benson claimed. "The ones Koji and Mason inherited from their mothers, plus the one your Uncle Tai holds."
"Wait. Now that you mention it, Musuko inherited his father's crest, and that represents miracles." Natalie said. "How come there's not a stone for that one?"
"I don't know. I don't have all the answers." Benson claimed.
"Maybe we can get some about where the next stone is. I see a castle." Gatomon said. They all looked outside and saw that there was one. Maybe someone there can help.
...
The Castle
Leaving the stone in safety of CannonBeemon, the kids went to check the castle out. When they got close enough to the castle, they could hear strange sounds coming from it.
"What's that noise?" Natalie questioned.
"It almost sounds like horns." Biyomon claimed. They were able to step inside the castle and were soon met with a bunch of digimon named Gekomon and Otamamon. Gekomon we're the ones playing the music while the Otamamon were enjoying the music.
"They're all Otamamon and Gekomon." Palmon said. "The Gekomon are just playing their horns."
"You mean those weird sounds is their idea of music?" Musuko questioned as the music didn't sound that appealing to them. The Gekomon kept playing until one of them noticed the kids.
"Oh! Hello!" Gekomon greeted.
"Visitors! We don't get that many!" Otamamon said.
"Hello. We were hoping you might be able to help us." Palmon said.
"Yeah. We're looking for something rather important." Mason said.
"Something important?" Gekomon questioned.
"Hey, doesn't that boy with the Palmon look similar to Princess Mimi?" Otamamon questioned with all of them surprised to hear them say that name.
"Don't be ridiculous. Princess Mimi is far prettier." Gekomon said.
"Hold on. Did you say Princess Mimi?" Mason questioned. "Mimi is my mom's name."
"Your mother?!" Gekomon said with astonishment. "Princess Mimi is your mother?! Why didn't you say so?!" Hearing that seems to have gotten the digimon going. "You must meet our Lord ShogunGekomon!" All of the little frogs gathered around them and tried to get the children to come inside to meet their lord. Mason's mother seems to be a big shot around here.
...
Inside
all of the kids were brought inside and met the largest frog ever seen: ShogunGekomon.
"So, you're saying one of these little squirts belongs to Princess Mimi?" ShogunGekomon questioned.
"And they're saying you're the big cheese around here, or should I say the big frog?" Musuko said.
"You would be wise to show our great ShogunGekomon some respect!" Gekomon called.
"He's got a point. Try and be on your best behavior." Natalie whispered to him.
"So, is Mom someone important around here?" Mason asked.
"Yes, at least she is to us." Otamamon claimed. "I'm sure she's told you all about us."
"Actually, she never told me about you guys." Mason said. That was rather disappointing to all of them.
"Well, it has been many years since we last saw her. I'm sure much has happened." Gekomon claimed as he tried to see the bright side of this.
"Why do you call her Princess Mimi? She's far too old to be a princess." Palmon asked.
"Well, it started out with us needing her help to awaken our great ShogunGekomon. We need the voice of someone pure and sincere to awaken ShogunGekomon, and we found her." Gekomon explained. "However, things got a little out of control and we started treating her like a real princess. We gave her the luxurious life she always wanted, and she didn't want to let it go. Not even when her fitness asked for her help."
"Really? Sounds like she was a real spoiled brat." Musuko said.
"Hey! That's not her!" Mason argued.
"Of course not. She eventually learned she was doing wrong and truly did help us." Otamamon claimed.
"She was so kind and lovely. We call her that because she's still a princess to us." Gekomon said. "She helped us and we managed to have Lord ShogunGekomon awake, even though he wasn't as grateful as we were."
"Well, who isn't cranky when they first wake up?" ShogunGekomon claimed. "I was having a nice dream and she woke me up. Besides, I can make better music than her."
"Regardless, we are and will always be grateful for what she did." Gekomon claimed. "Knowing that you are her son, we are so glad to make your acquaintance."
"Wow? So does that mean I'm a prince?" Mason said with him blushing and letting the whole thing get to his head.
"I've heard of the Frog Prince, but this is ridiculous." Gatomon said.
"Cassie always said that Mason was special, but I don't think this is what she meant." Natalie said.
"But this can still help. You might be able to help us." Benson said. "The sad truth is that your Princess Mimi has been taken prisoner with some of our parents."
"Did you say that she's been taken prisoner?! That can't be!" Gekomon said as they were all distraught to hear the news.
"By who?!" Otamamon questioned.
"You probably know about the Dark Masters." Benson said. "Well, they've returned."
"The Dark Masters?! That can't be! Princess Mimi and the other Digidestined fought so hard to be rid of them!" Gekomon said. "You're saying she's been taken prisoner by those fiends?! There must be something we can do!"
"We're searching for something that might help. Do you know anything about a great or mysterious power anywhere in the area?" Gatomon asked.
"Please. You must know something." Mason said.
"A great or mysterious power?" ShogunGekomon said as he thought it over with all of them expecting him to say something helpful. "Let me sleep on it!" He claimed as he went right to sleep. That wasn't what they expected.
"And I thought Musuko could go out like a light." Veemon complained. Just then they all heard something crash outside.
"What was that?!" Natalie said.
"It sounds like it came from outside!" Koji claimed. They all hurried out and were surprised to see that it was Machinedramon himself.
"It's Machinedramon!" Musuko called.
"Looks like I found you kids. Since I'm here, I'll be taking the stone you have." Machinedramon claimed.
"You're not getting anything!" Musuko claimed.
"Yeah! I'm the prince, so get out of here!" Mason claimed.
"A prince? In that case, your majesty, let me serve you some frog legs...that came from your subordinates." Machinedramon claimed as he plans to lay waste to this place now. If Mason really is considered a prince, he better be ready to defend it or else this castle is going to fall.
...
Next time, as Machinedramon launches his attack, Mason goes off to find the next stone. If Mason really is going to be a prince, he has to be willing to fight for his kingdom.
Next time: Mason the Frog Prince
