Episode 8: Night of the Hawk
Gravity Falls
1958
Some teens were preparing for a late-night street race. "Tommy, promise me you won't go too fast." a girl with blonde hair said. "You got to hold on to something, honey. Preferably me." the boy known as Tommy said. "Remember, just because you stole your grandma's wheels don't mean you got to drive like her." one of the teens said. "You run your mouth pretty fast. Let's see if your car can keep up." Tommy retorted. And just like that the race began. At first it seemed like Tommy was going to win. But then one of the tires suddenly burst. "Tommy watch out." the girl said. Despite Tommy's best efforts they crashed into a tree. The other teens stopped their car to help. "Yo, Tommy, are you…" But all of their focus went to a mysterious glowing object nearby. "What's that?" "I think that's a comet or something." Tommy answered. Just then Vandall Savage appeared. "It's a meteorite, in point of fact. I was drawn to it as well." He then started to remove the branches and leaves from it. "Your presence out here was unexpected. Or perhaps that's just another word for…destiny."
The team soon arrived and began to suffer the effects of time travel. "Ok is anyone else blurry in their left eye or is it just me?" Steven asked. "I see three of everything? Is that bad?" Mabel asked. "Yes, as I mentioned before, the effect of time travel on the human body increases with the length of each jaunt." Rip explained. "So where are we this time?" Star asked? "Gravity Falls, Oregon." Rip answered. "According to Captain Baxter's intel, Savage makes an appearance in this quaint little hamlet." "Seriously?" Dipper asked. "I mean I guess it makes sense that no one would notice Savage here with all the other supernatural stuff going on." "What the hell is Savage doing here anyway?" Randy asked. "Murder apparently." Rip answered. He showed them a newspaper with the headline "Slasher Strikes Again!" "Several denizens of Harmony Falls have been brutally slain, and others have gone missing." the captain explained. "Reports are vague, but it seems like the killer is an expert with knives." "That sounds like Savage, but the serial killer part doesn't" Jenny commented. "Sounds a little low-brow for a guy who's had coffee with Hitler." Kim added. "Yeah, well, clearly we have to assume that Savage has a larger, more nefarious plan." Rip said. "But since we've jumped back in time, Savage isn't expecting us here." "Savage is pretty good at hiding; how do you plan to find him?" Ben asked. "By investigating these murders." Rip answered.
"Now, there has to be a common link between the victims, starting with the first. A piano teacher was found slain in her home, which is now on the market." Rip said. Jenny (disguised as a 1950's mom) was with Randy, Mabel, and Dipper (Also in 1950s disguises) posing as a family taking a tour of the first victims house with a realtor. "There is, of course, crown molding, all original floors, and stucco ceiling." the realtor said. "There's even a small room above the garage, suitable for live-in help." "Oh that won't be necessary." Jenny said. "My, uh, kids and I are just looking for a quiet place to live in order to come to terms with their father passing." The realtor smiled. "Well I'm sure you'll be happy here. Gravity Falls is a nice quiet town where nothing crazy ever happens." Dipper and Mabel snickered knowing very well that Gravity Falls was anything but normal and quiet.
"Dr. Matt Miller was found murdered on the grounds of the asylum where he worked. It's just on the outskirts of town and it is in need of some interns." "Ben, Kim, and Star volunteered for this assignment. (Dressed in doctor garbs." "Thank you for volunteering kids." the head doctor said. We've been having a lot of difficulties since Dr, Miller's demise." "We're happy to help." Kim said.
"Meanwhile, Steven is the perfect candidate to discern the facts behind the disappearance of the three teenagers who went missing a week before these murders began." Rip said. "You sure you want me to do this?" Steven asked. "I believe your record of befriending people speaks for itself." Rip answered. "So if Jenny, Randy, Dipper and Mabel are moving into a new home, Kim, Star, and Ben play hospital and Steven is the new kid on the block where does that leave me?" Danny asked. "Glad you asked." Rip said.
Rip and Danny arrived at the local police station (dressed as federal agents). They soon met a man who looked to be in his mid-40s to early-50s with neatly combed brown hair and wearing a beige shirt with a navy-blue tie and a badge as well as black pants and shoes. "We're looking for the sheriff." Rip said. "Well you found him. Bud Ellison, how can I help you folks?" the sheriff asked. "Special Agent Rip Hunter." Rip said as he showed him a badge. "This is my associate, Danny. We are here to investigate the serial murders which have plagued this sleepy old town of yours." "Whoa. Now, slow down there, buddy, there ain't no serial killer anywhere. All we got is some unexplained accidents is all." Sheriff Ellison assured them. But they weren't buying it. "Tell you what? How about you hand over those case files so we can decide for ourselves. Or we can come back with a court order and a nasty disposition." Danny suggested. "Anything for our friends at the bureau." Ellison said as he handed them the files. "Nice work." Rip said. "Thanks." Danny said.
Meanwhile Kim, Ben, Star, and Steven were at the local diner. "I still can't get over this place." Ben said. "I mean a jukebox, roller skates, white picket fences. It's like were in an old timey movie." "Whatever." Kim said. "Everything ok Kim?" Ben asked. "I'm fine. I'm just not thrilled about being in the 1950s." she answered. "Why? This place is great." Ben said. "Yeah, if you're a man. But women have little to no say in this era." Kim retorted. "Oh." Ben said. "Well regardless we still have a mission to accomplish. And according to Dipper and Mabel this town is no stranger to weirdness." Steven said. "Yeah, it's like those monster movies Janna showed me." Star said. "See, first it's all perfect, and then, rawrarwrarwrarwrararwrarwr, some huge scary monster beast thing shows up and starts killing kids on Lovers' Lane." Everyone just gave her a dead-panned look. "What?" Steven then took notice to the girl sitting at the counter. "That's the girl from the newspaper articles Rip showed us." "Looks like you're up." Kim said. "We need to get back to the hospital."
Steven approached the counter. "Hey, you mind if I sit?" he asked. She nodded and Steven took a seat. "Huh, that's odd." "What is?" Steven asked. "It's just I've never seen anyone dip French fries into their milkshake before." Betty said. "I like it this way. It's both sweet and salty." Steven explained. "Here try it." Betty took a fry and dipped it in the milkshake. "Okay that's really good." "Right? I'm Steven by the way." Steven said as he held out his hand. "Betty." she said as she shook his hand. Just then a punk teen and his pal. Showed up "Hey Betty, just because your boyfriend went AWOL doesn't mean you have to slum it with this loser." he said. "Look I'm just sitting here trying to have a nice time. I don't want any trouble." Steven said. "Too bad. Now get out or else." Before a fight could start the manager showed up. "Hey no rough housing. You two leave." The teens grunted and walked out. "This isn't over." "I'm so sorry about them." Betty said. Steven smiled. "Don't worry about it. So do you want to hang out tomorrow night?" "Yeah." she answered.
At the hospital, Kim, Star, and Ben continued posing as interns. "So how much longer until we catch Savage?" Star asked. "Until we can figure out how he's committing these murders and learn what he's planning we need to maintain our cover." Kim explained. "We should split up, ask around and see what we can find." They shared a collected nod and started looking. During her search, Kim noticed a nurse trying to ignore a doctor. "Is that a new perfume I smell?" the doctor asked. "You know, if you're trying to drive everyone crazy, I have to tell you, it's working." The nurse was clearly not in the mood. "I'm very busy right now." she said. "You know what your problem is? You don't know how to have a good time. Now, what you need is a man who can show you one." Kim decided to intervene and threw a clipboard at him. "Oops clumsy me." Aggravated, the doctor walked away. "Thank you." the nurse said. "Don't mention it. Maybe next time he'll take no for an answer." Kim said. The nurse sighed. "It's not just him. Most of the doctors here are looking for a good time, and most of the nurses all say yes, 'cause they're looking to get married." "But not you?" "I just want to focus on my work right now." Kim smiled. "Today's my first day, care to give the new girl a tour?" "I'd be happy to." "I'm nurse Carlisle." "I'm Kim." After a few minutes Kim was getting the low down on the facility. "And the cafeteria's over there. It's better than what we serve the patients but not by much." the Carlisle explained. Kim then took notice of one room in particular. "What's down there?" she asked. "Oh, that's Hall H, the restricted ward." Nurse Carlisle explained. "It's for Dr. Knox's patients, violent psychotics. That part of the tour is worth skipping." But Kim wasn't listening. She was distracted by the photo of the doctor in question.
Back at the house Jenny and the others had just finished unpacking when they heard the doorbell ring. Jenny quickly transformed into her mom disguise and answered. At the door was a woman who appeared to be in her late 40s holding a dish. "Hello can I help you?" Jenny asked. "Welcome to the neighborhood." the woman said as she handed her the dish. Jenny smiled and took it. "Thank you, Miss…" "Mrs. Knox. Gail Knox." she introduced. "And this is my husband, Curtis." When the man approached the door Jenny was shocked to discover that her husband was none other than Vandal Savage. "Lovely to meet you." he said.
"Is something wrong?" Savage asked. "No, not at all." Jenny answered. "I'm just a little tired from all the unpacking me and the kids have been doing." Gail smiled. "Well I hope they like tuna surprise." Randy, Dipper, and Mabel then entered the room. "Tuna does sound good right nooooo…." Randy said as he was shocked to see Savage at the door. "Kids these are our new neighbors Curtis and Gail." Jenny said trying to maintain their cover. Dipper hesitantly held out a hand for Savage to shake. "Nice to meet you." Savage accepted the hand shake. "Likewise." "Well isn't this a nice surprise." Mabel added. "Well, another reason why we dropped by was to let you know that we are having a soiree tonight." Gail said. "Stop by any time after 8:00, we're just across the street. Don't bother to ring the bell, you just walk right on in. It's that kind of neighborhood."
On the Waverider the team regrouped to discuss what they found out. "Oh, god that was scary." Mabel said. "Tell me about it, I thought for sure that Savage would've had us pegged." Dipper added. "Yeah, but since were further back in time Savage shouldn't know who we are so were safe for now." Jenny explained. They then took notice of Randy eating the tuna. "Are you seriously eating that now?" Dipper asked. "Say what you want about Savage, but he makes one hell of a casserole." Randy said. "Yes, well, Mr. Fenton and I have been analyzing these forensic files." Rip explained. "And they've revealed nothing except the fact that Savage is very good at making people disappear." Danny added. "Which means we need to figure it out the hard way." "Right so while Ms. Wakeman keeps an eye on him at the party, Kim, Ben, and Star need to find out what he's doing in the secret wing of that asylum." Rip ordered.
While Ben and Star were searching the hospital Kim was distracting the nurse by telling some stories of her travels. "I have to say it's amazing that someone as young as you has done so much travelling." the nurse said. "I've never left Gravity Falls." "That's your first mistake." Kim said. "If you don't get out there, you'll never get to experience what life has to offer." "You know no one has ever given me advice like this before." the Carlisle said. "Well I'm happy to help." Kim said. Nurse Carlisle walked away and Ben and Star approached Kim. "So did you find out anything about Savage's plan?" Ben asked. "Unfortunately she knows about as much as we do, which is nothing." Kim answered. "So what now?" Star asked. Before she could get an answer, an alarm went off. "Everyone get to hall H!" one of the doctors said.
Jenny attended the party in the hopes of learning more about Savage's plan. "I'm so glad you could make it." Gail said. "Well thank you for inviting me." Jenny said. "Your home is nice." "Thanks." Gail said as she handed her a glass of champagne. Jenny accepted it and the first chance she got she dumped it into one of the plants. She then started to search the house for clues. After a few minutes she soon made her way to the study. As she was looking over Savage's notes, the man himself entered. "See anything you like?" he asked. Jenny was surprised to see Savage. "Sorry, I was just fascinated with your work." "That is quite understandable." Savage said. "The human mind is a very complex machine and each one is different. Tell me, how does your mind operate?" Before Jenny could answer a phone on the desk rang and Savage answered. "Hello? Yeah, I understand. Of course. I'm on my way." Savage hung up and turned to Jenny. "Looks like we have to finish our discussion later. One of my patients needs attention. Enjoy the party." He then left for the hospital.
Savage returned to the hospital, to only to find that one of his 'patients' was on a rampage. "Tommy, Tommy, Tommy. I thought the two of us had an understanding. I've allowed you and your cohorts the occasional freedom to run free and to feed your thirst, and then…then you do something like this." In front of him was one of the missing teens. But he wasn't a normal human. He had been turned into a savage anthropomorphic bird monster with wings, sharp talons, a beak, and black eyes. Currently the creature was being restrained while Savage prepared an injection.
Back on the ship Jenny informed the team of her encounter with Savage. "While I didn't see what was in those files, I could tell from our talk that Savage is doing something to his patients." "Agreed." Kim said. "Whatever is going on in Hall H is clearly shady due to the panic at the asylum." "So I'm gonna break in while he's at the hospital and see if I can get a better look at those files." Randy said. Just then Steven walked in wearing a suit. "Woah, is the school dance tonight?" Ben asked. Steven brushed off Ben's comment. "I have a date with Tommy Fuller's girlfriend." he explained. "He's one of the teens that went missing and I think Betty knows more than she's letting on. So I'm gonna take her out and see what she knows." "Ok but be careful." Danny said. "Odds are Savage might try to attack tonight especially if that girl is a witness to his crimes."
Randy (suited up) was searching Savage's house while Dipper and Mabel were keeping watch. From their house. "How's it going over there?" Dipper asked. "I can't find the files." Randy answered. "Savage must've taken them with him." Randy then noticed a locked box on the desk. "Hang on." Just then Savage returned to the house. "Randy Savage is back. Get out of there." Mabel warned. "Hang on I think I found something." Randy said as he was trying to open the box. "There's no time he's inside." Dipper shouted. Randy quickly took the box and escaped before Savage saw him.
Steven and Betty were enjoying their time together as he pulled over. "I have to say tonight's been really fun." Betty said. "Well I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." Steven said. "So curious what were those guys at the soda shop talking about? They said your boyfriend went missing." "It's kind of a long story." Steven smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I've got all the time in the world." "We were drag-racing down on Route 7 with Davis and Billy when Tommy's car went into a ditch." she explained. "That's when they found it." "Found what?" Steven asked.
Before Betty could answer the teens from the soda shop showed up. "Been looking for you." one of them said as he grabbed Steven by the collar and pulled him out of the car. "I thought we made it clear to stay away from Betty here." "Hold on, let's try to be reasonable here." Steven said trying to avoid conflict. "Stop it!" Betty screamed. However just before the first punch was thrown, they were attacked by one of Savage's hawk creatures. Betty immediately recognized the assailant. "Tommy?" But Tommy wasn't himself and he began attacking everyone. He killed the bullies and clawed Betty's stomach causing her to lose a lot of blood. Steven was able to fight back with his shield and knocked the creature into a tree. He then grabbed Betty started the car and drove as fast as he could. "Hang on, Betty." Betty was losing more blood by the second. "How did you do that?" she asked. "Don't worry about that now." Steven said. "Once we get to safety, I'm gonna fix you up."
Just then they heard a police siren. "Oh come on." Steven said annoyed. With no choice he pulled over. Sheriff Ellison stepped out of his car and approached Steven. "You were driving to beat the devil back there. That explain why your car looks like hell?" "I need to get my friend to a hospital." Steven said. The sheriff looked inside and saw Betty bleeding. "What happened here?" "We were attacked by some bird monster." Steven explained. Ellison gave him an 'I think you're crazy' look. "Please step out of the vehicle boy." "There's no time she needs medical attention now." "Well how do I know your not the reason she's in this state?" Steven grew frustrated. "Look you can arrest me later. But I'm not gonna let this girl bleed to death. I'm taking her to the hospital." But before he could start the car Ellison knocked him out with his gun and dragged him away.
A few minutes later, Danny and Rip showed up at the scene and found the car with but not Steven. "Well, it seems you had good reason to be concerned for Mr. Universe's safety." Rip said. "But it looks like we were too late." Danny said as he noticed Betty's condition. They took her back to the ship where Gideon was attempting to save her. "She has suffered several severe lacerations. I am attempting to cauterize the wound." the AI explained. Jenny, Randy, Dipper, and Mebel walked in. "What happened?" Jenny asked. "We're not sure but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Steven's date didn't go well." Danny answered. "Where is Steven?" Mabel asked. "We don't know. There was no sign of him in the car." Rip said. He then took note of Betty's wounds. "These wounds don't appear consistent with a knife." "Correct." Gideon said. "I believe these lacerations were made by talons." Betty regained consciousness.
"It was Tommy. He…he was like a bird monster." "Captain, analysis of Miss Seavers' blood reveals traces of silicate minerals." Gideon said. "Miss Seavers, do you recall Tommy coming into contact with a meteor of some kind?" Rip asked. "The car crash…it was…it was glowing." Betty answered before passing out. "She's talking about an Nth Metal meteorite." Rip realized. "Can you speak English?" Randy asked. "He's saying that Betty's boyfriend came into contact with a meteorite with mutagenic properties." Jenny explained. "One more time?" Mabel said. Jenny sighed. "Her boyfriend has been exposed to the same type of meteor that Savage was. The one that made him immortal. Only this one seems to have a different effect on people." "Can it be cured?" Dipper asked. "Perhaps." Gideon answered. "If the talons which lacerated her left some mutagenic residue, I could synthesize a cure."
"I'll help Gideon find that residue. The rest of you need to stop Savage and rescue Steven. Rip ordered. "That shouldn't be too hard." Randy said as he pulled out a familiar knife. "The Amon Dagger." Rip said surprised. "Where did you…?" "Savage's house." Randy answered. "All right, we'll split up into two teams." Danny said. "One to save Steven, and one to take Savage down." "I'll deal with Savage." Jenny offered. "I think I can get close enough to finish him. The four of you can go rescue Steven." "You sure you can handle it alone?" Mabel asked. Jenny smiled. "Don't worry, I'll have Kim, Ben and Star with me as back-up." After confirming their plan the heroes split up.
"Wakey, wakey." Ellison said as Steven woke up strapped to a table. "Do the words 'police brutality' mean anything to you?" Steven asked. Ellison laughed. "You think this is brutal? You'll be begging for me after he gets through with you." "That's enough, Sheriff. Leave us be. This young man and I have a lot to discuss." Savage said as he entered the room holding a syringe. "Forgive my friend for his brutality. You will learn that I'm much gentler." "I think I'd prefer brutal over crazy any day." Steven said as he tried to escape. "Oh, I would hardly describe what I'm doing here as... as 'crazy.'" Savage said. "Therapy is nothing more than a process of self-discovery. You're about to experience an extraterrestrial power. Shall we begin?" The immortal tyrant then injected Steven with a serum that caused him to undergo a transformation into a bird monster. "Shhhh, it will be over soon." Savage said as Steven began growing feathers. "What a piece of work is man. When I was exposed to a meteorite, I was blessed with eternal life, immortality. But sadly, the effect of this meteorite turned out quite different. But no less advantageous." After a minute or so Steven was no longer a half-gem half-human hybrid. He was covered with black feathers, his eyes were pitch-black, his lips were replaced by a beak, he had sharp talons instead of finger nails, and he had lost all sense of himself. He was now a savage bird creature who wanted nothing more than to tear people apart limb by limb.
One of Savage's assistants walked into the room. "Doctor, you have a visitor." he said. Savage walked into his office where he saw Jenny (in her human disguise). "What a pleasant surprise." "I hope I didn't catch you at a bad time but I was hoping that we could finish our conversation." Savage smiled. "Of course." Outside Kim, Ben, and Star were outside waiting in case thigs went wrong.
Danny, Dipper, Mabel, and Randy snuck into Hall H to find Steven. "Relax I'm sure Steven is fine." Mabel assured her friends. "Mabel, Savage is a monster. Steven's probably being tortured as we speak." Dipper argued. "That's not helping." Danny said. Suddenly they were approached by Sherrif Ellison. "You shouldn't have come here. Now you have to die." Danny immediately fired an energy blast at him and knocked him out. They suddenly heard a loud screech. They turned around and saw some of Savage's monsters. "I guess those missing teens are no longer missing." Dipper said. "Ninja chain-sicklies!" Randy shouted as he attacked one of the creatures. Dipper and Mabel hid behind Danny as he froze 2 more. The fourth one they recognized as their missing teammate Steven.
"So have you tried psychoanalysis before?" Savage asked. "No, I've never given it a try." Jenny answered. "Well, my specialty is interpreting dreams. What do you dream of Jenny?" Jenny thought for a moment then came up with an answer. "Well, sometimes I dream that I could be like everyone else. I've always been considered an outsider and all I want is to fit in." Savage stood up and approached her. "You poor soul. I guess we have something in common." Jenny was about to grab the dagger but she couldn't find it. "Did you lose something?" Savage asked as he grabbed her by the neck and held her against the wall which caused her disguise to fade. "I was wondering how long you could play out this little charade. You show up on my doorstep, and then my dagger goes missing? You must think me stupid not to suspect anything. Who else have you brought to the asylum tonight?" "No one! It's just me." Jenny answered trying to protect her friends. "You are a terrible liar." Just then the alarm went off and the sounds of screeching could be heard throughout the hospital. "What have you done?" Jenny asked. "I released my test subjects." Savage answered. "The energy from the meteorite has changed them. I set out to build an army as powerful as myself. Pity they didn't turn out as intelligent."
"Oh, my god, it's Steven." Mabel said realizing who the monster was. Steven started to attack them. "Steven it's us. Your friends." Dipper shouted. But Steven couldn't understand what he was saying as he scratched at his face. Danny and Randy got into their battle stances. "Steven don't me do this." Danny said as he prepared an energy blast. Steven charged at the others while Danny fired. Randy then wrapped his scarf around him. "Steven calm down." Steven just screeched as he tried to break free. Danny sighed. "Sorry buddy but you leave me no choice." He charged up some energy in his hand and punched Steven causing him to get knocked out.
Ben, Star, and Kim were dealing with more monsters in the hospital. "Ben, go help Jenny. We'll handle these guys." Kim ordered. "Right." Ben said as he turned into "Wildmutt". Kim ripped off her nurse disguise to reveal that she was wearing her high-tech white and blue battle suit. With her enhanced strength she was able to beat off the monsters left and right. "Syrup Tsunami Shockwave!" Star shouted as a large wave of syrup shot out of her hands and stuck 5 monsters to the wall. Nurse Carlisle was shocked to see the 'interns' use such abilities. "I'll explain later get out here." Kim said as more monsters approached.
Savage held the dagger and was ready to kill Jenny. "I must say I've never seen a creature like you before. Truly extraordinary. Goodbye." Before Savage could strike Ben burst through the door and slashed Savage causing him to hit the wall. "Thanks Ben." Jenny said as she regained her composure. Ben grunted as a way of saying "Don't mention it" and they escaped.
Back on the Waverider, Steven was strapped to a chair in the MedBay as Rip and Gideon administered the cure. "So what do we do about Steven?" Danny asked. "Gideon was able to help me devise a gene therapy that will hopefully restore Steven and those at the asylum to their former selves." Rip explained. "And your sure it will work?" Mabel asked. "If genome bonding occurs, we should know right away." Rip answered. As if on cue the cure started to take effect and Steven returned to his normal self. "What just happened?" Steven asked not remembering his time as a bird. "Oh man you turned into this crazy looking…" Randy said before Dipper elbowed him in the leg to stop him. "Let's just say you had a bad experience in the hospital."
After the battle clean up began at the asylum. "How's everyone in Hall H doing?" Kim asked. "Whatever your friends gave those creatures seemed to have worked. They're back to normal." Nurse Carlisle answered. "Glad to hear." Kim said. "Listen please don't say anything about what you saw ok? Not just for our sake but yours." "Of course, I mean who would believe me anyway."
Back at the diner, Steven was meeting up with Betty now that they both recovered from their conditions. "So I felt bad about trashing your car so I thought I'd make it up to you." Steven took her outside and showed her a new and improved vehicle. "You bought me a car?" Betty asked astonished. "Well me and a friend of mine." Steven said referring to Rip. "We even souped it up to in case of any more monster attacks." "Do you really have to go?" Betty asked. Steven nodded. "I don't belong here. And neither do you. You need to leave for your own safety. Both of you do." Betty turned around and saw that Tommy was back. "Tommy!" she said as she hugged him.
On the ship, the team was getting ready to depart from 1958. "I gotta say Steven prefer you like this than as a bird." Dipper said. "Thanks." Steven said. "So when are we leaving?" Star asked bored. "We're just waiting for Danny, Jenny, and Kim to get back. Then we'll take off." Rip answered. Just then, the Waverider took damage. "Gideon what's going on?" Rip asked. Outside the ship was Chronos and he continued to fire his blaster. "Not this schube again." Randy complained. "Captain, Chronos has breached the starboard hatch." Gideon informed. "How is that possible?" Dipper asked. "Clearly, he's received some new toys from his Time Master friends since last time." Ben said. "Gideon, seal the bulkheads from here until…" Before Rip could finish his command Chronos blasted the door open and boarded. "Come on guys lets do this." Star said as her hands started glowing. "Right." Randy, Ben, and Mabel said as they were getting ready to fight. "Guys if we fight on the Waverider, we could destroy the entire ship!" Dipper argued. "Are you not paying attention to what's happening right now?" Mabel countered. Chronos soon arrived and continued to shoot. "Fall back! Get to the Jumpships!" Rip ordered.
Danny, Kim, and Jenny were walking back to the Waverider ready to leave. "1958's swell and all, but I miss the Internet…and cell phones." Kim said. Suddenly the Waverider was taking off. "Uh…what are they doing?" Jenny asked. Danny transformed and tried to fly after it. "Hey. Hey!" But the ship time jumped before he could reach it. "Where did they go?" Jenny asked. "Better question: why did they leave us?" Kim asked.
