Intermission 3 Pt 1
As Danny arrived home, his parents noticed an oddly intrigued smile on his face.
"How was this one, Son?" Jack asks.
"Asuka was awesome!" Danny went excitedly as he headed upstairs.
"Asuka? With a name like that, I can assume she's Japanese." Maddie guessed.
"You'd win that bet." Danny said as he couldn't help but smile as widely as he could.
As Danny went, Jack kicked his legs up and sat back on the couch.
"That's my boy. I can't wait to tell Vladdie about this! After I spend another three hours talking about ghosts and the lovely life I live with my family!" He went.
"That sounds fun." Danny said, knowing Vlad might internally hate what he's going through as he went through the door. It was then he heard his phone ring and answered. "Hello?"
"Dude… is what I heard true?" Tucker asks with an urgency in his tone.
"... yes, it's true." Danny said.
"It is?!" Tucker asks.
"Yeah… Godzilla is gonna fight Gamera…" Danny said in a tone that was clearly sarcasm. "You have to be more specific than that, dude."
"I heard from Mikey that Dash and his goons went straight to the hospital to have themselves treated, and it looks like most of them gotta stay indoors for a few days. Said a tall Japanese girl in blue did that to them, and that you were with her. Were you with Asuka?! I told you to steer clear of her!" Tucker went with a terrified tone in his voice.
"First off… that's not a name I hear on a daily basis, I had no idea how it was spelled." Danny responded flatly.
"Fair…" Tucker admits his fault in not telling him.
"Second… What were you so scared of? She's… awesome!" Danny went. There was a long pause of silence. "Tucker?"
"Seriously?! But she's buff, taller, stronger than a normal human and probably a better fighter than Danny Phantom!" Tucker went as he listed off the things that scared him about her.
"Exactly!" Danny went as he couldn't help but think back to his date with her. "What a woman…"
That's when the scene paused.
"Okay… I think we've fooled readers long enough. It's finally time for what people were waiting for." NeoMark said.
"What?" Luiz4200 asks. "Do you think people weren't waiting for it?"
"Is this the part where we say 'get on with it'?" BCFW snarked playfully as he reclined back in his seat. "Want me to add an English accent?"
"Is it time for lunch?" 61394 asks.
"What?" Batguy01 asks.
"The intermission where we finally learn who were the honorable mentions." NeoMark answered.
"Oh… that makes more sense." Deadpool said.
"So... who is first?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah, so what eligible teen bachelorettes didn't make the cut?" 61394 asks.
"I'm willing to bet it's mostly characters we're not too familiar with, but another video game fighter character." Batguy said.
"I dropped some names, though looking back, I doubt another goth girl was going to be used." BCFW shrugged with a smile. "Maybe one day..."
"I'm not making any guesses." Luiz4200 said.
"Yeah, I would want some characters to be here, but I'm cool with everything that happened here right now!" PF1991 said.
"So… let's do a quick recap of who was here for those who are just checking in." NeoMark said.
"Drum rolls!" Deadpool went as the Warners used the desks as drums.

"You need some water there?" Deadpool asks.
"Yes, thank you…" NeoMark said as he chugged a 10 gallon container quickly.
"My thoughts on what character I would choose is Kitty from X-Men Evolution, because I think her and Danny would look cute together." PF1991 says.
"Aside from Polly Pocket from the stories featuring Beth as the main antagonist, I would include Lila or Big from the 2018 version if only to see one of them going kerpow on Dash." Luiz4200 says. "Or maybe Trixie from American Dragon: Jake Long."
"Interesting choices, particularly with Vanessa, Asuka, and Bloom, but I'm still wishing you used others like Raven and Kylie." BCFW put a finger to his chin. "Not to mention it would have been interesting to see how you would do the original dates."
"I would have added girls like Alex Russo, Raven Baxter, or Amka Aliyak, but that's just what I'd do." 61394 says.
"I would have chosen Spider-Gwen, Stephanie Brown, Susan Foreman, Kamala Khan and Donna Troy for my Many Dates spin-off. If I have the time that is." Batguy01 says
"So… before we start, know that this isn't me saying these are bad characters, just that they did not work with the story I was going with… or I know too little about them to think they could work. I'm gonna address this right now, if it's 2018 or after, they're disqualified as they'd be too soon to feature. And if they're live-action, they're also not gonna be here as I made it clear I wanted this to be solely animated media, meaning cartoons, animated films, and games." NeoMark said.
"You delayed this long enough, nerd. Tell us!" Deadpool went.
"Tell us! Tell us!" The Warners went in a sing-song voice.
"If you insist… and now… The Honorable Mentions." NeoMark said.
Hey everyone! Neo as an editor here! Okay... I know I said it's time for the honorable mentions but... uh... yeah... this chapter is WAY longer than I intended it to be. SO long that the Google Doc file I am using for the story ran out of room, so I had to put this in its own file. So... I split this into two chapters. Normally, I have no problem with adding long chapters, but since it's mostly me sharing who almost showed up and the other authors giving their two cents, I figured it wasn't really something people would want to read a super long chapter on. Plus, I know you guys deserve an update. So... for these next two chapters, if you wanna see if the character you wanna see is at least getting a mention here, you could use your internet browser's find option for her name here or next. Or, if you guys don't really care... just wait for the actual date. No hard feelings if you don't wanna read this part.
Okay... so... glad I could address that. Hope you're okay with waiting a bit longer... now... we can get to the first half of runners up.
Number 1)
Images of a young blonde woman in a blue military suit of some kind, another blonde but in a skintight red suit with a cat-theme mask, and a blonde dressed more casually with a green skirt appear on the monitor.
"M-Rated Games. Just a quick heads up, but the first few entries are going to be generalized to a specific type of character. I like to make the entries that sort of break a rule an exception if it's at the bottom of the list. The rules I established for the actual girls still apply, but the bottom 5 entries are more groups that fit the same pattern." NeoMark said.
"Huh?" Deadpool asks.
"Just listen…I'm sure it will make sense soon. Maybe." FP11 said.
"There are some entries that made me think "they could work" but the first two entries are for characters who made me think… 'Oh… oh that won't work at all!' Not because they're bad ideas… but they don't fit with the rules I established." NeoMark said.
"And who's up first?" Deadpool asks.
"So, the first thing to go with is M-Rated video games. Since I decided I wanted video game representation here as there was none in the original, I got a few requests for M-Rated game characters. Not from the kind of games you probably think, more for their violence. And it's because of that violence and level of sexual tones that made me decide not to use them." NeoMark said.
"Like who?" Deadpool asks.
"Here's a notable character I've been asked to use, Cassie Cage from Mortal Kombat, daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. First off, we meet her when she's already of legal age, and I do not want to age up or down characters. Second, Mortal Kombat is one of the reasons the ESRB exists, and it's gotten more brutal and violent since then… so much so it's banned from Japan and likely will never get representation in Smash Bros. Plus, I don't see Sonya really being all that okay with her daughter blind dating." NeoMark said.
"That woman is quite the [redacted]. So if MK1 gets a sequel… which is a BIG if given what's been happening lately… if Cassie gets born, let's hope it's to a less rigid Sonya." Deadpool said.
"I did not know they're straight up banned in Japan. I totally believe it though." 61394 chimed in.
"She's not the only blonde from an M-Rated game I've had to turn down. The Persona series was one I got requests for, with the one I was most likely to consider was Ann Takamaki from Persona 5, which was the most recent entry in the franchise. I won't lie, she's cool and her Panther suit did make me think of how Danny would react. Except, she doesn't just fight with guns… her Persona comes out to fight with her." NeoMark said.
"Her what?" Those unfamiliar asked.
"Look up the series for more info… Basically, a demon she summons who does the fighting with her. Anyway… the Persona series is also a little on the dark side. The first major bad guy in that game is a perverted gym teacher with a sexual attraction to her… That and she would need the metaverse, not the one you're thinking, to transform or use her Persona. So, that's a no." NeoMark said.
"Anyone else?" Deadpool asks.
"I've been asked to use characters from the Danganroppa franchise. 1) I have never played those. 2) That's too dark." NeoMark said before clearing his throat. "This one isn't a big request, but it's one I did consider before tossing it aside."
"Which is?" FP11 asks.
"Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3." NeoMark answered. "I did consider her as I'm doing a Silent Hill crossover. However, I quickly came to the conclusion that, if there is ANY franchise that just straight up WOULD NOT WORK for any take on The Many Dates… it's Silent Hill. If I did pick Heather, what would her date with Danny be? They go to Silent Hill, enter the Other World, then monsters of questionable sexual themes attack, and then Pyramid Head almost cuts them in half? Yeah, no…"
"Well, I would rather not add any games, shows or films that don't meet this story's rating.." FP11 said, being honest.
"I'm out of ideas." Luiz4200 said, also being honest.
"My thoughts on Ann from Persona 5 is that she will be a fun character for Danny to interact with. Not only is she sweet, nice, and funny, but she has a sweet tooth as well." PF1991 went. "But just like you said, the Persona would be a difficult thing to get around because of adaptation. Unless Danny's ghost form becomes a persona when he goes to the metaverse. This problem also includes the other girls from the Phantom Thieves as well. Plus, if we're not going with Persona 5 Strikers for the reason why they have their powers back then there's no reason to add her to the list or any persona characters…"
"Technically, it's the game's content that makes the rating. The characters can work, especially if they weren't in whatever extreme situation that would cause them to replicate M-rated behavior." BCFW commented with an intrigued face. "It's an interesting debate of loopholes."
"I don't play M rated games so I'll defer to you Neo." 61394 said.
"Don't really mind the M-Rated stuff as long as the story itself is good. I'm pretty chill when it comes to ratings." Batguy01 said.
"Next!" Deadpool went.
"Okay… but let's add some dialogue for readers to guess who this is…" NeoMark said.
Number 2)
"You better not go easy on me…" A busty blonde asked with an eager smile on her face.
"Surf's up!" A pink-skinned girl with horns went in an excited manner.
"These boys won't leave me alone. I think they all just like me too much!" A tanned girl with her hair shaped in a ponytail-like state said.
"Characters from other worlds too different to use. Okay… here's another general type of character that people have asked, characters from worlds that are incompatible with the world we got here." NeoMark said.
"Can you explain that again?" FP asks.
"Simple… those characters I used, while not the ones people asked for, are the ones I probably would have picked had it not been for their worlds being too separate, as in the worlds of RWBY, My Hero and Avatar don't mesh with the worlds of Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, Ben 10 or the like." NeoMark said.
"No Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones." Batguy realized.
"Why didn't you put them in, Neo?" Deadpool asks. "Think how much more views you could have gotten."
"Why not?" Luiz4200 asks.
"Avatar and RWBY? That's easy, they live in fantasy worlds where monsters, mystical powers and differing fashion senses exist that are more on the imaginary side for us. I know I made a joke way back in the first chapter… which I realize is a year old at this time… wow I need to finish this. Anyway… I made a joke about Yang traveling to another world, that of DC. In fact, someone might point out Star Butterfly is from another world… but the thing is she has the means to do that on her own with those scissors. Yang, Ty Lee and Mina do not have the means to do that on their own. As for Mina Ashido, as well as characters like Momo Yaoyorozu and Camie Utsushimi, their world is similar… but has the same problem akin to something like Generator Rex… their world has a little event that rewrote how normal life works there and turned people into superhuman and monsters. So… yeah, not compatible." NeoMark said.
"Okay, I see your point. Yeah, it would be too complicated if you suddenly added them." FP says with a nod.
"That rule seems reasonable this time 'round." Batguy said with a nod.
"I think other shows like Naruto, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokémon wouldn't fit either…" PF1991 said.
"Not trying to sound rude, but I believe that was obvious from the get go. So, I'm guessing some writer just mash the worlds together with no attempt to string the world histories coherently?" BCFW commented, earning some stares. He adjusted his glasses as he said this to them. "Pardon, I don't read as much fanfiction as everyone. Relatively speaking."
"I try to keep the world building relatively easy to understand." 61394 added. "If it had been me, I would have had the same rule."
"Okay, so… now that we got the whole "they can't be here because their worlds are too different and they have no means to get here" thing taken care of…"
Number 3)
"HEY! We've got a giant out of control robot out there! But if you two guys are too busy playing Alpha Males Smackdown, I guess I'll just have to deal with it myself!" A blonde with a short blue skirt and red cape shouted.
"I may be called Batgirl, but my true identity is that of a hero." Said a redhead in a batsuit with purple on her torso.
"Wow!" Said a young woman in black and white in the presence of Superman.
"Non-Teen Titans DC cartoons." NeoMark reveals.
"Oh, not just DCAU, The Batman or that Legion of Super Heroes cartoon that no one remembers?" Deadpool asks.
"Exactly. I decided to stick with one DC cartoon, so I stuck with the one DC cartoon of the original." NeoMark said.
"So, no one from the DCAU caught your attention? Maybe… Supergirl?" FP11 suggests.
"You still wanna see her here, huh?" NeoMark asks.
"Yeah, why not?" FP11 admitted.
"She was a character I'd have gone with, along with The Batman's take on Batgirl. Although, I mentioned Phantom Girl from the Legion of Super Heroes cartoon in the first intermission and there's a reason for that. These shows, plus Teen Titans, don't exist in the same universe and they're all owned by DC. Teen Titans is too anime to be like most of them. Legion has designs that kind of work with Teen Titans, but its tone isn't the same." NeoMark said.
"I wouldn't mind Phantom Girl meeting Danny and Danny trying to figure out if she's a ghost or not." Luiz4200 says.
"Is them sharing the same universe with Teen Titans that important? I mean...this is still gonna be a huge crossover either way..." FP11 asked.
"It is. Teen Titans, as I said, is too different to those other shows. I'll get into this with Marvel soon, but since I am keeping Starfire, I didn't want to use another DC cartoon character. Even if we confirm Supergirl, Stargirl, or anyone else exists in that universe, we never see them and they aren't part of the show or in some sister series set in the same world. Plus, while I use Starfire and choose to have used, say, Stargirl from Justice League Action, that'd be a huge contrast as both shows have a Cyborg who, while sharing the same voice actor, both look too different to be the same character. DCAU's Robins are not the same one from Teen Titans, same with The Batman. And I'm not merging characters here, so no."
"Okay, I see your point." FP11 said.
"I suggest using Teen Titans characters when possible." Luiz4200 says.
"Technically, all you would have to do is rearrange history to suit your need with Teen Titans, DCAU, and Legion of Superheroes," BCFW said with a tone of intrigue. The latter appeared in the DCAU, although there's potentially more worms with that detail, so you could use all three, albeit with some minor to not-so-major adjustments. But I'm speaking theoretically—"
"Shut up, Fuzzy! No one wants to hear your nerding!" Deadpool shouted.
"I won't repeat myself from the Kula chapter." 61394 said with a shrug. "You're keeping to one canon instead of making up your own or mashing a bunch together."
"Yeah, it is really weird that the Teen Titans don't fit the mold from Justice League and Unlimited, even though they exist in the DCAU. If I had chosen a version of Barbara Gordon, I would have gone with the one from The Batman." PF1991 said
"Alright then, it's your fic." Batguy01 said.
"Okay… next one." NeoMark said.
Number 4
"Hiya, boys. Need some backup?" A blonde in a white and black spider-themed suit asks.
"I've always wanted to be in a band. Guess I just never found the right one. In this line of work you always wind up in the solo act." A similar blonde said.
"Some friendly advice, Teach... Don't mess with the Rogue!" A pale girl with reddish brown hair and white bangs says.
"Marvel cartoons pre-2018." NeoMark reveals.
"Right. You used Liz Allen from The Spectacular Spider-Man. The last Spider-Man cartoon few people say sucked. And it did not share a universe with anyone" Deadpool says.
"Exactly. So… you can pretty much guess why these characters wouldn't work. I already made it clear I wasn't gonna use anyone from the 2017 cartoon as that was too recent. Spider-Verse Gwen is from an alternate universe and I doubt she'd ever come to another Earth just to go on a blind date. That and the movie was, say it with me… TOO SOON." NeoMark said.
"I noticed Rogue from X-Men Evolution was a character people asked for. I figured you'd have picked a character from an existing X-Men cartoon in place of Kitty, seeing as she wasn't a version seen previously. Why not do some fan service and put in an X-men character?" 61394 asked.
"Yeah, but why this one specifically and not Jubilee from the 90's X-Men? Or Kitty from Wolverine & The X-Men?" FP11 asked.
"Ah, well… I could have used that cartoon but… big shocker, when it came to Marvel characters, I have a bias towards Spider-Man, and I wanted to go with the last Spider-Man cartoon I genuinely enjoyed." NeoMark said.
"Playing favorites. I like that." Deadpool said with a wink.
"Yeah...I can kinda understand that..." FP admitted.
"No comments." Luiz4200 said.
"Okay then, whatever makes you happy." Batguy01 says.
"We all know how you felt about Spectacular, since that big lipped alligator moment in Danny and Kim." 61394 commented.
"Ironically, you could have used Mary Jane, given how she was introduced on a blind date, after all." BCFW commented. "But that was hindsight, and I'm not the captain."
"That supposed to be a reference or something?" Deadpool snarked.
"Okay, time for our last group." NeoMark said.
"I get the feeling this is going to be a long one." 61394 said, opening a new can.
Number 5
"Impressed? I think I'm in love." A boy with brown hair, brown eyes and a red blazer.
"You're sweet. Too bad I have to crush you." A girl with long blonde hair and a unique blue uniform said with much smugness in her voice.
"Wow! Why didn't I pack my fluffy pink snow boots?" A Japanese girl with dyed hair said.
"Cool and swift as the winter wind! I'm Glitter Breeze!" A blue haired school girl not unlike Sailor Mercury spoke.
"Dubbed Named Characters." NeoMark said.
"... huh?" Everyone went.
"Okay, so… you know I used two anime characters? And how, instead of her original dub name, I kept Makoto's original just like the original story?" NeoMark asks. "Well…Here's the thing. The problem with using these characters that have completely different names on opposite sides of the Pacific is the fact that I used Makoto's original name, and Yuki has the same name on both sides of the ocean. In other words, it would feel kind of out of place." NeoMark explained.
"So, we could have had Alexis from Yu-Gi-Oh GX? Why not any other characters from that anime? Like Tea?" FP11 asks.
"Because this boy here's a GX fan. Why do you think that for that Yu-Gi-Oh story he wrote, he gave Danny here an Elemental HERO deck, with Masked HERO cards?" Deadpool gestured to NeoMark.
"I know little about Yu-Gi-Oh outside of some of the original series. Sorry." FP11 said apologetically.
"Same." Some of the other authors said.
"I remember seeing a tiny bit of the GX series, but that was a long time ago. So, I don't exactly know all the details." FP11 added.
"I haven't played since High School…though I still have my cards." BCFW added shamelessly.
Deadpool stared at him, conveying his annoyance for the nerd moment, but was ignored.
"I did watch Yu-Gi-Oh and I recently rewatched season 1 of GX." 61394 said. "Yu-Gi-Oh could have fit into this world, but not GX or anything after."
"I watched Yu-Gi-Oh up to when Link monsters were introduced to the series." PF1991 said.
"Yu-Gi-Oh was after we left Kids WB, so we know nothing about it." Dot said.
"I gotta say, my favorites are Mai and Akiza from 5D's." Wakko said.
There was a silence as the eldest Warner then pressed his hand on his lips.
"MUAH! Good night everybody!" Yakko went after blowing a kiss at the audience.
'D means dragon." Deadpool said.
"Oh… never mind." Yakko said, putting his arm down.
"Anyway…" NeoMark spoke up. "It's because, yes, I liked the GX era of Yu-Gi-Oh. As for Mimi from Digimon, specifically Adventure 02, she moved to America, so that made it easier to imagine her in the dating service. The last is Chloe, aka Glitter Breeze, from Glitter Force, a Netflix exclusive dub of one of the Pretty Cure anime. Why her? Because I liked her design and personality… nothing else, any of the rest could have worked. Also, I really like hearing the voice of Kate Higgins…" NeoMark said.
"That sounds like a forum war waiting to happen." BCFW backed away slowly, grabbing a katana from Deadpool. "And since we technically are residing on the internet, we should watch out for those…"
"I have nothing to say." Luiz4200 said.
"I would go with Mackenzie Mack from Glitter Force Dokidoki. One because she's a popstar, two, she is from another world and three we don't have a character like that for Danny. For my Digimon choice, it would be Kari from Digimon Tri because Kari does have strange things happen to her. For Yu-Gi-Oh, I don't have an idea for a date for him." PF1991 said.
"You know any who fit this category, Batguy?" Deadpool asks.
"Nova from StarBlazers, though that one is from a futuristic sci-fi anime dub." Batguy said.
"Is that all?" FP11 asked.
"And that was our final entry that was about characters of a specific condition. So, let's start with what characters from specific shows are up. Let's start with characters from franchises that were in the original first. Starting with…" NeoMark went.
Number 6)
"Finally, an evil villain who isn't bitter about being dissed or something." A certain Beverly Hills blonde with short hair said.
"Clover from Totally Spies." NeoMark said.
"Ah… the other of the three." Deadpool said.
"Did you mention something about wanting to use Britney?" FP11 asks.
"Really? Doesn't she break your rules because she's not that active a character in the series?" Yakko asks.
"She does. Bare in mind, my rules hadn't fully been established during the planning of this. Once they did, I had to put Britney aside." NeoMark explained.
"Oh? So what kept Clover from joining?" Dot asks.
"Yeah, we like her!" Wakko went as his tongue was out his mouth.
"These Beverly Hills ladies are fancy!" Yakko added before he and his brother were hit in the head with a giant mallet.
"Boys…" Dot grumbled.
"Because, while I like blondes, red is my favorite color… Clover seemed too…"
"Headstrong? Impulsive? Or has a habit of getting distracted by boys or shoes?" FP11 asks.
"All the above." 61394 added his own two cents.
"I was gonna say she's too unlikely to like someone like Danny after one date… but that works. Alex and Sam both worked better, but since you used Alex, I went with Sam." NeoMark answered.
"Well, I have nothing against Clover in general, and I am curious to see how this turns out..." FP11 said.
"Me too." Luiz4200 added.
"I think that it would've been interesting for Danny to date Clover because it would show that she's not as judgmental as Paulina. Also, I read stories with the other two girls. Our favorite blonde should get her chance to shine…" PF1991 said.
"I like all the spies, but Danny and Clover are probably the least compatible personality wise." 61394 said.

BCFW hummed a playful little tune as he riddled his thumbs in his seat.
"Pardon, but a funny thought came to mind." He cleared his throat. "Anyway, it seems you choose Sam for reasons of chemistry, which is… Totally… understandable."
"Boo!" Deadpool gave a thumbs down. "Next!" He called out.

"If I'm late, I'm looking at a big fat strike. Isn't there a shortcut?" A familiar tall redhead from Canada said.
"Emma Mackenzi from Stoked." NeoMark revealed.
"You almost kept her?" 61394 asks. "I figured you'd have used her since FP mentioned you were going to do her spin off world."
"Shocker, Neomark pairing Danny with a redhead." Yakko said sarcastically
"Why's that shocking when it seems the norm?" Wakko asked
"I was being sarcastic, baby bro." Yakko answered.
"Oh." Wakko said before eating a chimichanga, making Deadpool scowl.
"I did, in fact I almost wrote her story, which at this time hasn't happened yet. But… as you may have noticed from how I've only finished one… that was a good idea not to do." NeoMark explained.
"Yeah, you posted a lot of Many Dates spin-offs. In fact, one reason I went head-first into Danny and Wendy was so you wouldn't claim it first. That and because I recently binged Gravity Falls for the first time. Such a good show." Batguy01 said.
"Anyway, why was she not on this take? Why didn't you include her?" FP11 asks.
"Because I hadn't watched enough of Stoked and I felt this was a good time to finally put in a character whose series wasn't featured, in this case being Abby from Grossology." NeoMark explained.
"That's it?" Deadpool asks.
"I like her… and I know someone who wants to write about her, but the 10 I chose to keep were… better choices in my mind." NeoMark explained
"Yeah, Abby does sound like a better option." Luiz4200 commented, liking the idea.
"Well, I would have first chosen Emma, but Abby is alright too, I guess." FP11 said, accepting this.
"Well, I never watched Stoked or Grossology before I read either story, so I don't have many opinions about them. If you want me to give you my opinion about them and their particular chapters, they are OK." PF1991 said.
"Hey, let the guy write his story. Besides, there was nothing wrong with using Abby." BCFW chimed in. "And last I checked, you asked Flower Princess11 to add her in the original fic."
"Says the guy who wrote a crossover between-since when did I ask FP to put Abby in...?" Deadpool was giving an unamused face in response. "Shut it! Fuzzy!"
"Need I remind you that you were so happy for her to appear? And how you bugged FP in a review? And that you were griping about it in Danny and Kim?" NeoMark responds.
"You shut it too!" Deadpool snapped.
"FP asked me if I wanted to do this world and I said no for similar reasons." 61394 said. "I only remember there was an episode with German nudists and the blonde girl got stung by a jellyfish."
"Anyway… anything, Batguy?" NeoMark asks. Batguy only shook his head no. "Okay… moving on."

"Excuse me, I need to speak with the young man you're terrorizing." A robot girl of blue and white said as she rescued a geeky boy from bullies.
"Jenny Wakemen from My Life As A Teenage Robot." NeoMark said.
"Ah, you replaced her with Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe." Deadpool said.
"I did." NeoMark said.
"A Steven Universe character, from a show that seemed hard to add here." Deadpool said.
"Yeah, I forgot why and am too lazy to go back and read that chapter or watch Steven Universe. Why was one of Nick's mechanized maiden replaced with Cartoon Network's brilliant beauty?" 61394 asks.
"Nice alliteration, Number boy." Dot complimented while Yakko made a so-so motion
"I know you wanted to only keep 10 from the original, though why mention Jenny now? And why exclude her in the first place? ." FP11 said.
"Ah, well… I had to stick with 10 but Jenny was a character I liked but not enough to keep her. As for why Lapis? As I said, I was gonna pick any girl, but Jenny being a robot, IE inorganic, made me think this was a good opportunity to think of a character who still fit but wasn't a robot. Admittedly, my options were limited to Steven Universe and the Gems, but of all the Gems I could use who could pass off for a teenager, even an older one, Lapis was the best choice." NeoMark explained.
"Well, as much as I'd have kept Jenny, I guess Lapis is an okay choice." FP11 said.
"Well, I do think that Jenny works for Danny as the only few Nickelodeon characters to be paired with him romantically. Even though Nick rejected The Proud Family as a nickelodeon show or aired 6Teen and Miraculous Ladybug at one point before giving it to Disney and Cartoon Network respectively. Anyway, back to Jenny, I do think they make a cute couple. While Lapis was an OK date for Danny…" PF1991 said.
"Including the Steven Universe verse into this crossover at least gives you a chance to make Greg's former manager Marty get his comeuppance." Luiz4200 suggested. "He's even more of a creep than Dash Baxter."
"It was a bit of a stretch, particularly with how you pieced Beach City into the world. I'm not saying the date wasn't good, it was great, but that bit of world building is far-fetched." BCFW commented.
"It was kind of the only way I could have pieced it in there." NeoMark explained.
"Personally, I think that you're setting up way too many rules for yourself. I'd really like to see Danny dating a character from live-action, whether from a movie or tv show. For example, a final girl from a horror movie who already has battle experience when it comes to surviving evil, a Power Ranger girl because they have fighting experience as well, or, forgive me for bringing this up again, the Doctor's granddaughter Susan for being the type of person to accept things unearthly because she is that herself." Batguy said.
"... do you have an opinion of whether or not Jenny should have stayed?" NeoMark questioned with a slight annoyed expression.
"Don't mind Jenny either way. I guess I prefer her staying since she's a super heroic teen robot and all." Batguy responds.
"Okay then." NeoMark said.
"One question before we move on." 61394 said. "Why'd you pair Jenny with Sheldon? I thought he'd be in the same boat as Sam with you considering some of the stuff he did in the show?"
"Oh… well… I kind of forgot what he did. That's basically it. I'm not as into MLAATR as I am with stuff like Danny Phantom or Ben 10." NeoMark explained.
"Got ya." 61394 said.

"If I can handle hand to paw combat with a polar bear, I can handle a bald emotionally withdrawn cook in a Halloween costume!" A crazed looking redhead declared.
"Izzy from Total Drama." NeoMark reveals.
"Neat, a show I know." 61394 said
"Shocker, another redhead." Deadpool says sarcastically
"Right, you said no to Gwen because you don't want to repeat names. Is that right or did you just want to add a new kind of crazy to the fic?" FP11 asks.
"That's right. Remember that as it'll be important later." NeoMark said.
"Wasn't there another character you mentioned to me behind the scenes that you wanted to add?" Deadpool asks.
"Yeah, Heather." NeoMark said.
"Wait, really? Oooh." BCFW gave a soft, enthusiastic clap as he leaned forward. "Now that sounds exciting!"
"Isn't she… really rude?" PF1991 asks.
"Yeah, this was gonna be another bad date. Heather would have just been super rude, whereas Izzy would have just been similar to Katie and be an unhealthy stalker. However… I then remembered that Gwen in the original would be going to join Total Drama after the service, so I decided to see who I could use before the show, but also I recalled Bridget was used as Tucker's date, and decided to swap her and Gwen's places. I'll admit I wish I did use Izzy and I figured it'd be fun giving him a girl who was crazy and obsessed with him, but I couldn't figure out how to make her someone he would come to like in the end. So, I stuck with Bridget." NeoMark answered
"Well, Izzy is pretty wild but Heather is a different kind of trouble altogether. Hopefully Danny can find a way to handle her..." FP11 said.
"Izzy is the 2nd craziest girl from Total Drama, but I can see her and Danny getting along." 61394 says. "Also, Danny's a teenage boy, he would put up with a lot of Izzy's crazy because of her looks."
"Second craziest?" The Warners asked in unison.
"Sierra." 61394 says.
"Sorry, I haven't seen this show yet." Batguy says
"Well, I think Izzy would've been interesting. Because of how wacky and random she can be, kinda like Star Butterfly was in her own way. Plus, she might find out Danny's secret identity far easier than Mike's, she did with Mal in All-Stars. Plus, I think she'd be even more attracted to Danny after learning Danny fights ghosts and causes explosions…" PF1991 said. "Also, one of my choices if I chose a Total Drama character for Danny to date would be Courtney…"
"I don't remember much about Izzy but Heather is basically a Paulina." Luiz4200 says.
"Oh...Hmmm, I was kinda expecting something that would possibly teeter on the borders of love and hate between Danny and Heather." Everyone glanced at BCFW with raised brows. "But that may be just me."
Number 10)
A transformation sequence of a young blonde girl occurred.
"I am the Pretty Guardian who Fights for Love and for Beauty! I am Sailor Venus. In the name of Venus, I'll punish you with the power of love!" She declared.
"Here's a character people expected me to put in here, Minako Aino from Sailor Moon." NeoMark said.
"While I prefer Makoto, Minako is pretty cool too..." FP11 said.
"You helped make that ship." Deadpool said.
"Anyway… I almost decided to go with her, partially because of that ship I ended up making." NeoMark said.
"I'm curious. Why didn't you?" BCFW asked.
"While I am okay with Minako, why pick her specifically?" FP11 asked.
"Is it because PF paired her with one of Danny's clone cousins and wanted to pair her with the original?" 61394 asks.
"Well, 1) I want to keep the 5 I am doing stories for. And 2) Much as I like Minako, I ended up liking Makoto just slightly more. Nothing too serious, just preference." NeoMark said.
"Haven't watched Sailor Moon yet. So once again saying my favorite quote, I'll put it on the List." Batguy says.
"While I have no problem with Makoto, Minako makes a good variety." Luiz4200 says. "Or maybe Ami."
"Neo saves her for Ben." Deadpool steps in when mentioning Ami.
"The thing I want to say about pairing Danny and Minako together is that both of Danny's forms can be a reference to Minako's love interest. In the manga Codename Sailor V, Minako has a love interest named Phantom Ace, who has white hair which can be a double reference because of Phantom's name and his hair color. Also Phantom Ace pre-reincarnated had an unrequited love for Princess Venus, similar to how Danny had one for Paulina. In the anime, Minako's love interest Alan had the same eye and hair color as Danny does in his human form. A funny thing about the manga is that Kunzite was the previous love interest of Minako's past self, once again having white hair." PF1991 says.
"It's been a while, so I don't have full knowledge of the series and its lore." BCFW added with a nonchalant shrug.
"Everyone and their kitchen sink knows I never got into Sailor Moon." 61394 said. "So, I don't got an opinion about which sailor scout Danny smooches."
"You wouldn't have an opinion even if you were a fan." Deadpool said
"Yep." 61394 said.
"Also, it's Sailor Guardians. Sailor Scouts was a term from the original English dub." NeoMark threw in. "But in any case… next character… and the last character from a work of the original."

Surrounded by strange, rat-like monsters, a large green tendriled beast with multiple mouths and a four-eyes shadow beast, a young girl with short purple hair, pale skin, and wearing a black-leotard with a bluish cloak was on her knees and trying to ignore what was around her.
"I'm not afraid… I'm not afraid… I'm not afraid…" Her attempt to ignore finally gave out. "I… I am afraid…" However, her eyes slowly turned dark as she stood up. "I'm afraid. But that doesn't mean I can't fight back!" The monsters surrounding her backed away. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
"Raven from Teen Titans." NeoMark reveals.
"I loved this one." 61394 said happily.
"Hey, it's the Teen Titans' character people used to exclusively ship Danny with! Probably because she's a Goth like Sam!" Deadpool went.
"I'm pretty sure it was more than that, Deadpool. Like the fact that she is a superhero or that she is part of the Teen Titans." FP11 said.
"I've seen plenty of Danny and Raven pairings." 61394 said. "Also, one where Raven and Beast Boy were Sam's parents."
"An upgrade over her actual parents." Yakko said. "They're so bad that I can't even make a joke."
"So… you almost picked her?" FP11 asks.
"Seriously!? I was asking to use her!" BCFW said with comically puffed cheeks.
"Well, I went with Starfire in the end as she was in the original and is one of the spin-offs… that I have yet to work on for so long. Blame a large variety of reasons I'm not gonna get into. Raven could have been an interesting choice, and one can only question how Danny would react to learning he's dating what's basically the main character of Little Demon as a superhero. Still, as I said before with another reason why I didn't go with Gwen from Total Drama, I wanted to avoid using Goths as to see him work with girls as different from who he ends up with." NeoMark said.
"I see, so that's the reason..." FP11 said.
"Yeaaaahh...Not to debate too much, but that's honestly dumb. You're saying you don't want to use the same social class when Sam and Raven are two different characters. 'On top of that, Sam is goth to rebel and seek teenage individuality, as such is common in teenagers, while Raven has genuine issues that make her a loner, in comparison, who likes all things dark." BCFW explained as he spoke with a soft tone. "Not to sound...I don't have the word right now, but I don't see your point in choosing Starfire over Raven."
"Well, there's another… more selfish reason…" NeoMark said.
"Which is?" BCF asks.
"I like Starfire more." NeoMark responded flatly.
"... oh. Well…That checks out." BCFW said flatly. "I mean, at the end of the day, if it's more of a preference, then I won't argue back…"
"I probably would have picked Starfire because there's a lot of Danny and Raven stories." 61394 said.
"I'm 50/50 when it comes to pairing those two with Danny. Both have their pluses and minuses." Batguy01 says.
"I'm glad you didn't forget your Danny and Starfire fanfic." Luiz4200 commented. "Dash Baxter has yet to make a fool of himself in front of Kory."
"It does make sense why people ship Raven together with Danny. Because of Raven being similar to Sam because of the dark gloomy aspects of their characters, but there's a lot more differences but some similarities, that's why Neo didn't choose her as Danny's last date. I also like Starfire as a character…" PF1991 said.
"And with that, we've finished characters from the works featured in the original. So, let's discuss characters from the works I did feature. Spoiler… they're the 3 video game franchises I used." NeoMark said.
"YEAH!" Deadpool went victoriously.
"I have no idea who the next 3 entries are gonna be. But, I am curious to see how this will all turn out…" FP11 said.
"I know Tekken and Street Fighter stuff from Death Battle, and that the late great Raul Julia played M Bison… " 61394 said as he sat beside her.
"Of course." The Warners said looking at the camera dressed like the famous video game villain.

A blonde that those who read this are familiar with stepped into the field.
"I'll show you the divide in our class…" She said in a haughty manner.
Elsewhere, a young Japanese girl in a traditional gi with a yellow headband and short black hair entered the battlefield.
"Get ready!" She declared in a competitive way.
Next, there was a masked girl with long black hair in a ponytail
"Ibuki! On the scene!" She said eagerly as she readied for battle.
After this, a tall girl with a somewhat revealing outfit appeared, flipping onto the battlefield. She had dark skin, with pale white hair that contrasted it.
"I'll show you my dance, you ready?" She happily questioned her foe.
Finally, a girl with dark skin as well, but with purple dyed hair and a dark cloak over her,
"Have you considered your destiny? Do you believe in fate?" She asks with an energetic tone.
"And let's just hit all 5 of these potential choices at once since they're all from the same franchise. Karin Kanzuki, Makoto, Ibuki, Elena, and Menat from Street Fighter." NeoMark said.
"That's… something." FP11 said in mild surprise.
"5 potential characters from the same franchise? Counting the one you used, that's 6. You really love those fighting games." Batguy said, using his fingers to show the number.
"Then, considering we're on game number six, I assume this is your favorite amongst the fighting game genre?" BCFW flashed a mischievous smirk.
"I didn't know there were so many possible love interests for Danny in this franchise." 61394 commented.
"I don't have anything to say about this because I'm not interested in Street Fighter or any of those other games." PF1991 said.
"Karin would have Alicia's approval." Luiz4200 said as he nodded.
"And… the few Street Fighter fans who actually care about this story of the entire Many Dates series are probably gonna start writing angry responses if you don't give a good answer… Best make it count." Deadpool said with a cheery wave.
The Warner Siblings quickly stepped back, making it clear they knew better than to mess with the Street Fighter fans.
"Even we know better than to upset Capcom's most diehard game fans when it comes to the games they're most passionate about." Dot said.
"Especially the ones who waited for a new Silent Hill…" Wakko said.
"That's Konami, baby bro." Yakko corrected.
"Okay, enough of the bit because I got 5 characters to give my explanation as to why I didn't pick them." NeoMark said.
"This oughta be good…" Deadpool said as he took a seat. "Who wants tater tots?!"
"Where'd you get those? Actually… Never mind. I don't wanna know..." FP11 said.
"Sure, been a while since the last meal I had." Batguy said.
"I'll have some!" 61394 said.
"AHEM!" NeoMark cleared his throat loudly.
"Sorry... Go on." FP11 said politely.
"Anyway… let's start with Karin, since she did appear in the story as Tucker's date and Sakura's friend. While I'd have loved the idea of Danny dating a rich girl, Karin always felt a little too high-classed or haughty in my mind, even if she's a good person and is the one who helped defeat Shadaloo in Street Fighter V." NeoMark answered.
"She's Sakura's bestie for a reason." Deadpool said with a nod.
"Makoto is a popular character introduced in III. In fact, she's ranked number 2 in most popular characters in the franchise thanks to a poll Capcom showed after the release of V." NeoMark said.
"I recall you mentioning that poll once or twice. But seriously, is it that important?" FP11 asks.
"It is. As for why I didn't use Makoto, her whole thing is that she's much more serious about martial arts than Sakura, determined to make a name for herself and for her dojo. I went with Sakura because her personality I thought would work better. That and, as I keep mentioning, I don't like to repeat names. It's not a rule, just a preference.. Next is Elena…" NeoMark said.
"Wait…" FP11 said as she took another look at the chosen girl. "She's a minor?! But… she's... taller than Makoto! … Sailor Jupiter, not the Makoto you just mentioned… though she's taller than her too. Saying that out loud, I see now why you don't like repeating names."
"Yeah… may as well bring this up. According to the Street Fighter comics, she is a minor, going to school with Ibuki and Elena and, during III, is 17 years old, which would make her… 3-4 years younger than Sakura during Alpha, which is the age we're using here, 16. However… the comics aren't canon… except for when Capcom changes their mind… It's weird, but yes, she's a minor. It's that whole ambiguity of canon that made me decide not to use her, that and I think she's too similar to Makoto… the one we used, not the Street Fighter one… being tall, strong and sweet, that I decided one was enough. As for Ibuki, it'd be cool to have a ninja as a date, but sadly I don't know her well enough. And then there's Menat, from V. I should note that Street Fighter doesn't have a floating timeline, so Menat was introduced after Sakura is of legal age. But while I like Menat, and her being Egyptian to contrast the mostly white and Japanese cast… I kind of wanted to capture the Street Fighter universe before Bison's defeat, so I decided not to use her." NeoMark.
"This just in, breaking news! As you were taking way too long writing this part, it's been announced that M Bison is going to be in the DLC for 6, meaning he didn't stay down." Deadpool said.
"Oh… darn. Well… yeah… those are the reasons why." NeoMark said.
"Those are good reasons. Too young, not knowing enough, not wanting to use two people with the same name." 61394 said.
"Since this is not my expertise, I do not have any characters I would like to pair up with Danny." PF1991 said.
"I think Karin would be a good match for Danny." Luiz4200 said. "I don't know the others well enough to have an opinion about either of them."
"It's a darn shame you couldn't use Mortal Kombat characters." Deadpool sighed, sounding disappointed.
"There is no way I'd let him use Mortal Kombat. Even I know that's bloodier than the inside of a butcher shop." FP11 said, not liking gory stuff.
"As interesting as that may sound…" BCFW spoke with dripping sarcasm. "Given the fact it includes interdimensional fighting, it sounds like adding too many ingredients in a pot, and this fic has enough convolution with all the timelines mashed together."
"Haven't played Mortal Kombat, but I've seen several YouTube videos on the fatalities of the more recent games. Yeah, they're really f'd up at times. Though the fatalities on Homelander sure are cathartic." Batguy said.
"Yeah, that franchise is messed up." 61394 said with disgust
"Sorry… but Mortal Kombat doesn't really fit the tone of Danny Phantom, whereas Street Fighter feels a bit closer to it." NeoMark said before he cracked an awkward smile. "Uh… remember what I just said about tone… when I get to characters where I almost completely ignored that."

"You really have to excuse me. I-I have a meeting about my next concert. Sorry!" A young woman with purple hair said with a wave of both hands before teleporting away from someone picking a fight with her.
"Athena Asamiya from King of Fighters." NeoMark said before a sheepish smile appeared on his face. "Sorta…"
"Sorta?" Everyone asks.
"First off… you have no idea how hard it was to find a quote of hers that works. I thank you for that help, FP." Neo said.
"Any time." She responds.
"Go ahead and explain why you didn't pick the presumably Greek girl." 61394 told Neo.
"Presumably Greek?" Deadpool asks
"There's no rule that only Greek people can name their kids after the Olympians." 61394 replied with a shrug.
"As for her quote, this came from KOF Maximum Impact 2, one of the few times SNK gave their game English voice acting for the fighters. And it's… questionable. Yeah, let's put it like that. It was either this or her voice acting in KOF XII. That one is harder to hear and… well, I picked the one that sounded like someone who, even when you can hear, doesn't sound like a little girl. So, as to the sort of part I mentioned, Athena actually appeared first in the sidescroller named "Psycho Soldier", which was a sequel to a game named "Athena", starring her ancestor who is a guardian warrior in ancient Greece. Simply put, she's a teenage popstar with psychic powers. Also… she had her own survival horror game too. Also… I should probably mention this… Technically, the Athena of Psycho Soldier and the Athena of King of Fighters are two different characters." NeoMark said.
"Sounds like she doesn't qualify because your no mixing canons rule." 61394 said. "Oh and she's Greek, neat."
"Oh? Is she really that different ?" FP11 asks.
"No… Think KOF of being like Super Smash Bros, it's a crossover franchise and none of it is canon to any of their works, so characters who physically could not exist could appear. This Athena still has much in common with her canon self, namely being a girl who is an idol singer and uses her powers to save the day." NeoMark said.
"She sounds like a unique character." FP11 said.
"Ms. Athena seems to have an extensive history through video game titles. I count three different titles she's been in, correct?" BCFW held up three fingers as he studied the girl on his phone.
"Uh… how old is she? Maybe it's just the art style, but looking at her image on Google makes me think of late teens or early young adult age." Batguy said.
"Don't go off just the art. Until I saw the Nostalgia Critic review, I assumed sailor moon was A LOT older than 14." 61394 added
"Okay, that's a major reason why I went with Kula Diamond, a KOF original, over Athena despite Athena's popularity. She was 17 in KOF 94, and 18 in all subsequent appearances. Before you ask, no, the 94 is meant more for what year the game debuted rather than what year it is. She's 18 in KOF 95 and has remained that way since. Kula has at least remained 14 since her debut… unless you count that dating sim she was in, but they only aged her up because putting a 14 year old in a dating sim would be… uncomfortable." NeoMark said.
"Good call on their part." Deadpool said.
"Also, in case anyone wondered, yes, Kula is in Maximum Impact 2 and she too had questionable voice acting, but it still counted with my rules. Also, she had English dialogue that was cut from the international release of KOF XIII, and I like that one better and that's what I think of when I think of her talking here. People have asked who my favorite new character is and while I can't say she's at the top, Kula is certainly a top 5. So, I'm ultimately happier that I went with her in the end." NeoMark said.
"I see. Well, I am not too familiar with either character but I'll trust your judgment. Still, I am interested in seeing how Athena would be in the service." FP11 said.
"I'd probably have picked Kula if I were in your shoes, Neo. She's got more in common with Kitty than Athena." 61394 said, before choking back a laugh. "Although it would be funny seeing Danny getting a shovel talk from the goddess Athena."
"Well, she does sound cool from what you describe her, but as I've never played the game before, I don't have much of an opinion…" PF1991 said.
"The only fictional Athena I'm familiar with is Saori Kido from Saint Seiya and this conversation makes me wonder how a crossover between the two franchises would work." Luiz4200 comments.
"This is not the weirdest date that you've given Danny. I mean, he has dated a goddess or godlike beings before. Heck, he has met Pandora. Or at least a ghost loosely based on her in the cartoon." Batguy said.
"Ah… so glad you introduced me to SNK. All the fun ways to mess with you now!" Deadpool cheered.
"Oh no…" NeoMark muttered, knowing what he was about to do.
"Oh no what?" FP11 asks.
"Yeah, you weren't here for it, boss." 61394 started groaning. "He-"
"RISING TACKLE!" Deadpool shouted with intentionally bad Engrish.
"GAH!" NeoMark went, hitting the ceiling before hitting the floor, bouncing on it briefly.
Those unfamiliar gasped as Deadpool looked to 61394, who panicked.
"NO NO NO! I have a burrito! No more SNK moves please! Please d-"
"Burning Knuckle!" Deadpool exclaimed in a manic way, sending 61394 into the wall.
"OKAY! I'm sorry about the Dragon's Lair thing! Okay?!" He cried out in pain.
The remaining male authors saw him glance at them.
"Uh… Deadpool?" BCFW stared blankly, almost as if he wasn't registering how much danger he was potentially in. "You do realize we can punish you in worse ways imaginable? In fact, you're only able to do this because NeoMark's allowing it."
"Can we give him a chimichanga allergy?" Luiz4200 asks.
"Pow-uh Guy-sah!" Deadpoon punched the floor, creating a stream or fire that burst out of it before it hit the two, singing them in a cartoonish manner.
"Huh?!" PF1991 asks as he pulls back.
"What's with you?! You're mad!" Batguy questions Deadpool's actions.
"Are you okay?!" Deadpool asks.
"NO! You're crazy! Not to ment-" Batguy was cut off.
"BUSTER WOLF!" Deadpool went as he hit the two with his fist, which was on fire.
The Warners hid behind FP11 as she gulped in growing fear.
"Uh… y'know what? Let's unban the chimichangas. I feel like… the whole world could use them. How does that sound?" She asks with fear in her voice.
To her relief, Deadpool became jovial and waved it off.
"Nah… I could never hit you, FP. I'll honor the original deal…" He said.
The rest of the authors, however, were on the floor, burnt and broken.
"Why is he so much more violent and angry when you write him?" Batguy asks.
"And WHY did you allow him to hurt us?" BCFW got up with an unimpressed face and dusted himself, shaking off the pain and broken bones in a cartoonish manner. If it were not for the snapping of cracked limbs and dislocated joints back into place, it might have been funny to watch.
"Really regretting that I put fighting game characters now…" NeoMark said before groaning. "And… one last fighting game character to talk about…"
"NOOOO!" The other male authors went, fearing Deadpool would have more moves to emulate.
"Uh… should I call 911? Maybe the SWAT team?" FP11 asks.
"We'll be fine." 61394 assured her. "So long as NeoMark cuts to the next character. Which is hopefully soon because I have to regrow my kidneys again."
"Again? Actually… I don't care that much because I got too many entries left to talk about." NeoMark says.

"I'm going first!" Asuka declared.
"I will handle this!" Her rival declared as she got in her way.
"Yeah, yeah whatever! Let's do this!" Asuka rudely snapped at her and tried to push her out of the way.
"Right! Let's pummel them!" The uppity blonde said as she rushed forward, much to Asuka's shock at being ignored before she glared behind her.
"Here's a familiar face. Lili de Rochefort from Tekken." NeoMark said.
"Wait… that rude blonde girl from the same chapter you used Asuka?" FP11 asked, surprised to hear that. "You almost put her in there instead?"
"I did. Well… I should mention that many readers thought I should put Xiao Yu, a character from Tekken 3 who was Jin Kazama's friend and I'm pretty sure is in love with him. And I'll admit, the Netflix anime that kind of didn't live up to people's expectations did give me the thought of putting her in here for a moment, even if that anime was recent. But, I decided not to even consider her as she's too into Jin Kazama… and I do not think the possibility of putting Danny against Jin is a good idea at the moment." NeoMark said.
"I try to forget that the Tekken anime exists at all." 61394 said.
"Now, as for Lili. Well, I did think she'd be interesting enough, what with her being rich and a love for fighting. I thought it'd be like the Sakura and Karin rivalry, the snooty rich girl who likes to fight and the down to Earth more humble girl who likes to fight. However… as I thought of that… and did my own little look at Lili and her potential… I came to a… shocking conclusion.
"Which is what exactly?" FP11 asks.
"I… don't like Lili very much." NeoMark plainly says.
"That's... That's kind of not shocking. She showed up in one chapter and I don't like her." 61394 said in mild interest .
"I don't know Lili so I won't give an opinion." Luiz4200 said.
"No offense, seeing as it's your story and you have final say, but can you please explain?" BCFW asked with a finger pyramid covering a wicked smile.
"Well… here's the thing. I'd be more okay with putting Lili in here and as I thought of who to put, I might have considered her… if it weren't for the fact that she's the real reason I put Asuka in here to begin with." NeoMark said.
"Can you give us more info about that?" PF1991 asks.
"I mentioned this before… but Lili has kind of made it so Asuka can never have her own endings in the arcade mode of every game since 5 without their rivalry being in play. The thing is… and I'm not alone in saying this… I don't think Asuka and Lili's rivalry is all that good, funny, or interesting." Neo admits.
"You don't?" FP11 asks.
"You know how Sakura and Karin were written earlier? The two are friends and fought against and alongside each other?" NeoMark asks.
"I do remember that." FP11 said.
"I have never played Tekken before. I got no idea who Lili is." Batguy said.
"Well… Asuka and Lili aren't like that. Lili is a bit of a pain in the rear for Asuka, apparently thinking the best way to make friends is to intrude on her life, try to move into her home, stage a scenario where Asuka would step in to stop a fight… bunch of other stuff. I feel like Harada really wants to emulate the Sakura and Karin relationship… but neglected to recall parts that established them as friends. Asuka seems more like she'd rather pummel Lili until her head was a deflated balloon. And it legit bugs me that ever since 5, Asuka's endings always have to feature Lili, like she has nothing else Harada wants going on besides this rivalry that isn't really interesting in the slightest. So, because I'm kind of petty about it… I'm not using Lili as a date." NeoMark admits.
"To be honest, I don't think Lili would be great either from what I've seen. What you said about how she tried to be "friends" with Asuka is pretty disturbing..." FP11 said.
"I made a joke in the review that Asuka had an annoying blonde stalking her." 61394 said. "I felt sympathy for Katie after the carnival and the years of psychic torture she went through because of Evil Katie and Stryker, but I feel nothing for Lili but annoyance."
"There was an evil Katie?" Deadpool asks.
"Long story, read Danny and Kitty to get the details." 61394 said.
"Your potential use of Lilli, who was antagonistic towards Danny, might have played in an interesting manner." BCF says.
"She felt like a big jerk." PF1991 said.
After that, all the male authors eyed Deadpool in growing worry before he waved it off.
"It's cool… SNK had the more fun moves to emulate." He said.
"Whatever." Batguy said, giving Deadpool the I'm-watching-you gesture.
"Okay…" NeoMark said with a relieved sigh. "Anyway… that was the last entry for a franchise I featured. So far… but the other character is from the work I actually ended up using for the chapter after, but to avoid spoilers, we're not featuring her. So… let's move on to the next series…"
Number 15)
Three girls were in the pool of a cave with the moonlight shining down on them. The water bubbled as sparkles fell on them, turning them into mermaids.
The blonde gained an orange fishtail, the redhead a reddish tail, and the raven-haired girl with the purple tint gained a purple one.
"But wh-where are my legs?! What's going on?! This is crazy! We're-" The girl with the purple tinted hair went.
"MERMAIDS!" All of them went.
"What's happening to us?! I don't wanna turn into a fish!" The same girl continued complaining.
"Calm down, Cleo! Everything will be fine! I don't quite know how… but it's got to be fine!" The redhead went.
Cleo notices the blonde is gone.
"Emma?! Emma!"
The blonde emerges from the water.
"We can get out this way! Come on, Cleo, don't be scared! We'll all go together!" Emma said reassuringly.
"Cleo, Emma and Rikki from H2O Mermaid Adventures." NeoMark said.
"WAIT!" Deadpool went. "You said that we're doing new girls now! Why are these not with the girls from the original properties featured?"
"Because this is the animated version of them, which is a separate series." NeoMark said. "Because this isn't the same series, much less canon to it, I'm not counting it. Like how I don't count Liz Allen as a proper replacement to Felicia Hardy as I used a different Spider-Man cartoon."
"Oh… proceed…" Deadpool went.
"Anyway… as I said, I don't want to do live-action characters." NeoMark said. "In fact, let me go behind the scenes really quick. About 3-4 years ago, I offered to do a fun art piece for FP11 in which Danny and all 30 dates were going to do a group shot."
"Even Vicky and Cree?" Luiz4200 asks in shock.
"I remember. It was around that time that people were starting to write the "Many Dates" spin-offs." FP11 said.
"This true?" BCFW turned to Flower Princess11, who nodded.
"That sounds about right." PF1991 said
"I'm noticing that piece doesn't exist. I'm guessing it never came to be." Batguy said.
"Too bad. It sounded like a good idea." Luiz4200 added.
"So, why didn't you ever finish it?" FP11 asks.
"Because when I told you I wasn't too familiar with H20 Mermaid Adventures but will watch to get Cleo's look accurate, you told me you used the live-action one. Because of that, I scrapped the idea." NeoMark said.
"I see. Can you explain again why you did that?" FP11 asks.
"I'm curious as well." Luiz4200 adds.
"Because I liked the idea of exploring other art styles and that was a golden opportunity. For a live-action character, I'd have had to either use stock footage or do as close to life-like as possible, which I had neither the time nor the skill to do. And before someone suggests "why not just draw her in your own style or any other style?", it's because I wanted all of them to match their home series. And before someone says "just draw them in the same style as Danny Phantom"... because as a guy who likes to draw and wants to broaden what styles he can do, that's kind of the coward's approach. The only exceptions would be if someone commissioned it or I do it for one character but for a fun way to spend some time. This was neither of them. So no, no live-action characters in this take and no drawing them all in that art style." NeoMark said.
"What about CG characters? Violet and Marinette are CG." Deadpool pointed out.
"Ah yes… they still have 2D artwork in the form of comics and such, so that still works." NeoMark said.
"I never realized what a perfectionist you can be with your art." FP11 said.
"And so you'd rather use their cartoon counterparts?" BCF asks.
"Indeed. I'll be bluntly honest… I don't really care too much for this take but they are an improvement over the live-action for two reasons. 1) Rikki is now a redhead, granted it's the bright cartoon red hair, but it makes it easier to spot her when she and Emma are together. 2) Their tails are now different colors. I know those were limitations of live-action, but speaking as someone who's studied character design, I like it best when your characters share as little in common with each other as possible unless that's the idea." NeoMark said.
"So that's the reason." FP11 said. "So, why not use one of their animated versions?"
"I did consider it… but then I ran into the question… Do they count as a returning series or a new series entirely? Then, after some time, I decided not to bother as I ended up with characters who still fit my rules but were more interesting to go with." NeoMark said.
"Well, okay. At least you were honest about why you didn't draw it." FP11 said.
"I watched the live action show a long long time ago." 61394 said. "Like Winx Club, I liked it but I don't remember it. So I didn't really give her or Musa much screen time outside of the happy ending chapters in Danny and Kitty. No, I'm not doing those again for other stories."
"Using an animated version sounds better than doing a copy-and-paste of the live-action one." Luiz4200 said.
"Once again, I've never seen the series before, so I have no opinion about them..." PF1991 said.
"That seems legit. Granted, there probably wouldn't be any difference. But then again, I never saw either." BCFW shrugged at the thought.
"I've barely seen H2O. So, I can't form an opinion..." Batguy said before scratching his chin.
"Okay… now that that's done…" NeoMark said. "Time to get to… the elephant in the room for people who expected me to put the next series in here."
Suddenly, all of the authors froze in place after Deadpool snapped his fingers.
The Warners let out breaths in relief.
"Finally... these people are windbags, especially him." Yakko pointed to NeoMark.
"Yup. So... who wants to use Cable's time machine to visit Hometown Buffet?" Deadpool questions.
All three Warners raised their hands before following him out of the room.
"What about them?" Dot asks.
"Eh... they'll still be here when we get back." Deadpool said as they left.
