It didn't take long for me to get used to having one eye.After the first day or so,I learned to use my peripheral vision more.After three days of riding,I reached Hamburg.Zoè didn't tell me what the forge looked like,but I have all day to look around.Turns out I didn't need to.As soon as I got off my horse and it bolted off,I saw a building that said,Hephaestus' forge.I just shrugged and walked in.I followed the sound of clanking medal until I saw the biggest and ugliest man hammering on a piece of metal.He had misshapen legs,metal braces,oil all over him,a warty face,a big bush beard that randomly bursts into flames,and a limp.I called his name out a couple times to no avail,before getting annoyed,"Yo!Big boy!I need to talk to you!"Hephaestus finally stopped hammering,"Hmm.Big boy.What do you want?"I roll off my hood,"I need some information."Hephaestus rolled his eyes,"What type of information boy?"I crossed my arms,"Lykaon.Where is he."
"Why would you want that information?"
"To kill him."
Hephaestus sighed,"Why do you want to kill him?I have better things to do."I started to pace around,"I am a Bryant.He killed my parents."Suddenly Hephaestus looked a lot more interested,"A Bryant?Haven't seen one of you in years."I blinked,"Wait,you say in of my ancestor's?"Hephaestus nodded,"I see Dionysus didn't teach you about your family.Yes I have.Almost all the gods have had kids in your bloodline."I blinked,"What,so that means I have all the god's blood?"Hephaestus nodded,"Except for Artemis,Hades,and Hestia yes.Your family has been around since Ancient Greece.All of them were great fighters."I scoffed,"That is...interesting."
"Don't worry.You are just moral.What were we talking about again?"
I shook my head,"Right.Lykaon and where he is."Hephaestus nodded,"Right.Most of the time,I sent people like you on quests to get that information.However,seeing as he killed your parents and I want this done as much as you,I will give this information for a heavy discount."I didn't respond,thinking he was going to make me be his personal robot or something.Instead he said,"Tell me where you found your weapons."I grunted,"How did you..Never mind.I found the gun,and made the blade."I showed him the gun,and then I showed him how the blade works.Hephaestus looked impressed,"I made the gun,it was a prototype of a more advanced version,but who made the blade?"
"I did."
Hephaestus smiled,"That is good craftsmanship.For a mortal at least.Give me your gun."I mutely handed it over,and he tossed in aside."Hey," I said.Hephaestus ignored me and tossed me a different gun,"Use this instead.Spin it once to make it shoot shock rounds.Spin it again to make it shoot explosive rounds.It is already on normal bullets."I raised an eyebrow,"Thank you."He waved toward a table,"Take some silver weapons too.You look trustworthy,and if the Hunter's trust you,so do I."I started looking at the silver weapons while Hephaestus started talking,"There is a man,he was green eyes and red hair.Usually hangs around the big bar in town.He deliver meat for Lykaon.He doesn't know who he really is,and is sworn to secrecy.You are going to have to persuade him."I finally picked out two silver daggers,and holstered one on my thigh.I looked at Hephaestus as I put the other blade in my shoe,"Thank you," I repeated.When I walked out the door,I sighed in relief.That audience was nerve racking,and I thought for sure he was going to tell me to go away.I put up my hood.I then hired a taxi,and told them to drop me off at the biggest bar.
It wasn't long until I got to the bar.It was a pretty big bar,with the name Flying Skewer.I tried to walk in,but the bouncer put a hand up,"No kids."I was about to protest,but the exact guy I was looking for walked out.I smiled at the bouncer,"Sorry sir."Then I turned toward the target,"Hey you look cool!Have a name?"The target looked surprised,"Thanks kid.The name is Jack."I immediately gestured toward him,"Follow me!My parent's want to meet you."He looked confused,then followed me away from the bar.As soon as we were relatively hidden,so grabbed Jack by the neck and picked him up.Jack tried to kick me,but I position myself so he can only kick my thigh.I took off my hood and snarled at him,"You have been delivering meat to a client.Where is he."He gulped,"I am sworn to secrecy?And you're just a kid!What are you going to do,stare me to death with your one eye?"I punched him in the face and ejected my blade.His eyes widened in terror as I slammed him into the wall and made the blade stab through the wall inches from his head,"Tell me know!I am not going to ask nicely again."He swallowed,"The cave!It is about two miles west of here!But why do you care?"Ignored the question,"You are too kind," I said before smashing my elbow in his face.I dropped him on the floor and 'borrowed' a bike so I can get to the cave faster.
When I got to the cave,I looked in the cave and saw Lykaon and about ten wolves eating there.I had ride to think of a plan,but what the heck.I pulled out my two silver daggers and walked right it,"Lykaon!"He stood up,"You again?I will kill you myself then."The other wolves started to get up,but Lykaon put a hand up,"No.This is my kill."I snarled at him,"You are going to need more than just you."Lykaon made a symbol with his hands,and the wolves made a circle around us.Lykaon lunged at me,and I step sided and slashed at his head.He dived out the way,and I dove at him,ready to skewer him with my daggers.He suddenly kicked me in the air,sending me flying,before a wood lunged and slammed into me.I held on to my daggers,so I quickly stabbed the wolf on top of me with a dagger to kill it.Lykaon was getting up a little slowly,so I threw one of my daggers with perfect accuracy at him.A wolf suddenly jumped and intercepted it with his body,saving Lykaon but killing himself.Suddenly two wolves lunged at me,and I spun away form the first one and stabbed the second one in the back.The wolf was still moving,so I stabbed it in the head.The other wolf lunged again,but I hit the deck and stuck my daggers up.It tore through his stomach and his guts spewed all over the floor.I stood up,but Lykaon finally lunged at me and knocked my dagger out of my hand.We spent a little bit wrestling and him giving me tons of scratches and tearing up my cloak when I managed to slip behind him.Quickly,before he had time to react,I put him in a chokehold and twisted.
SNAP
His body slumped on the floor,neck broken.I stood up and watched him disappear,"So your bones do break."My cloak started healing itself,and I turned to the remaining wolves,"Scram!"They quickly ran away.I started to mend my wounds on my chest,so that they wouldn't get infected,then walked out of the cave,mission accomplished.I found a telephone booth in the streets and called Chiron,"Hey Chiron.Guess what?Mission accomplished."I heard Chiron's voice over the phone,"Good job Paul.Know we have some bad news to share."He told me about the quest for the lightning bolt recovered by Percy Jackson,Annabeth Chase,and Grover Underwood.He then told me about Luke's betrayal and that Kronos is about to rise again.Then came the final bomb,"Dionysus told me that there are monster's in Europe.Back up monsters,forward operating bases or others we don't know.We need you to wipe them out.Watch out for powerful monsters like the Chimera.Kronos probably asked for there aid."I took off my hood and smiled,"Or course Chiron.I will call you when my time is complete."I turned off the phone and walked out,getting ready to plan some attacks.
