Chapter 2: The Newbie

Reyna's POV

Reyna just stared at the new demigod introduced as Percy Jackson by Lady Juno, and she was fuming as she remembered what he did to her home to be honest she was scared of what he would do to her new home after making a life there.

What annoyed her so much about him arriving was he was actually a pretty handsome black hair muscular frame and his beautiful sea green eyes were looking right at her and for some reason it made her heart flutter. No, I can't think that he could be the enemy. I have to find out what he is doing here. It must be important why else would Juno herself introduce him?

She shook herself out of her thoughts and looked and Percy yelled over the crowd that had gathered there "Welcome Percy Jackon son of Neptune!" Percy was still in the water so she went over to him and helped him up out of it and what surprised her was that he was completely dry she got over her confusion and just helped him up. She looked around for Hazel and said come with me and Percy to the Principia.

Percy's POV

Percy looked at her for a second and first off. I have a question: who are you and have we met before? Because my memory is not in the best condition right now actually it's completely gone so can you help me with this?

She looked at him and pondered something. If he didn't have his memories he might not be a threat and he definitely would not know her so she answered saying I am Reyna Praetor of the twelfth legion and no I do not know you.

I immediately knew it was a lie I could see it in her eyes, but knew this was not the time to pry for information, especially in front of all her troops.

Reyna then turned and started walking and he and Hazel followed. As they were walking through the city Hazel explained things to me about the gods and speaking Latin and as they were talking a ghost walked right through Percy he was shocked and said "Why are there ghosts here"

Hazel was cracking up at his reaction and Reyna turned and answered him this was the first time she had spoken to him since they left she said "Those are lares sorta like mascots for the cohorts and the legion." "Cohorts," I asked curiously. "Yeah", Hazel said "cohorts, the legion has five of them if you are accepted into camp you will be put into one and they will be like your family from now on" I nodded in understanding. "What cohort are yall two in then?" I asked curiously. "I am in cohort 5 and Reyna is a praetor so she is not in one" Hazel answered. "Oh," I said trying to understand all this new information. Finally, we reached the Principia and went in.
