II. JESSICA

The second person to know about Harvey and Donna is none other than Jessica Pearson. Jessica has always been perceptive, always has an inkling when something is going on—it's a skill she has learned as the former managing and senior partner of Pearson Specter Litt. She especially has a higher degree of calling out bullshit when it came to Harvey and Louis and today, she feels like using it for Harvey.

There are very few people that are allowed in Harvey's condo without the doorman having to call him up, and that list is very, very short. There's Ray, whom has been his trusted driver over a good chunk of his working years and someone he could send up when he forgot something at work or in the car. There's Jessica, his mentor and someone he considers his family; anytime something goes wrong, and she needs to see Harvey urgently, she is free to walk through his condo. The next on his list is Mike (and Rachel since they are married), though Mike doesn't really that he had that perk. Harvey refuses to tell him, knowing Mike would call him soft or come over and annoy him. However, when the time comes that Mike really, really needs to see him, the option is there.

Then there's Donna—Donna who really has been the only one to receive a key to his place is of course on the list, save for Paula but she didn't really count because his judgement was clouded. Donna was the first to be placed on the list, Harvey not even hesitating to tell the building management about her free reign on the place. Oddly enough, Donna has been at his place only a handful of times, but despite that, everyone in his building seem to know her. His doorman, Charles, has joked with him for years that if he doesn't get with the redhead he'd set her up with his son—to which Harvey has always responded with a laugh, though the joke did have a pang of jealousy attached to it.

Now, Charles jokes with Donna instead.

"I'm glad you finally got your head out of your ass, Harvey. You're lucky that my son found the love of his life, otherwise Miss Donna would have been my daughter-in-law," Charles chuckled when the couple went downstairs hand-in-hand.

Donna giggles and Harvey responds, "When are you going to stop giving me shit, Charles. Also, aren't you technically supposed to be on my team?"

Donna watches the two banter, and it's how she imagines Harvey and Gordon to talk if he were still alive. So she takes it in. It's sweet seeing Charles rooting for her and Harvey, because in the handful of times she came over, Charles has been there telling her the same thing he has told Harvey. If you get tired of waiting for him, my son is available.

"I'll stop giving you shit when you give her a ring," Charles jokes, his old man laugh enveloping the lobby.

Donna's heart fluttered at the words though. She and Harvey haven't really discussed marriage considering that their relationship is still new. But she knows, she knows he's it for him.

"You don't have to worry about that, I'm not letting this one go," Harvey says in a serious tone, squeezing Donna's hand and kissing her forehead to let her know that he is serious.

"Atta boy," Charles happily replied.

Donna smiles at Harvey, her eyes glimmering with pure happiness. She then turns her head to the doorman who was watching them with a content sigh.

"I'll be sure to send you a wedding invitation," Donna winks, as her and Harvey walks away to leave.

The old man winked back, waving Harvey and Donna goodbye.

Harvey holds Donna's hand as they sit in the back of the car, their minds aimlessly wandering as the city whizzes by outside the car window.

"I was serious, you know," Harvey said, his eyes straight ahead.

Donna smiles and turns to him and he looks at her. His eyes, those chocolate-brown eyes dripped with so much love that Donna still thinks she is dreaming.

"I know, Harvey. I would say yes," Donna's eyes sparkles as she says the words.

For some, they might be going too fast, but nothing is too fast when you have almost fifteen years of history under your belt.

"Good," Harvey's eyes crinkled with a smile.

"Good," Donna echoed.

Later that night, with Charles still on duty, Jessica Pearson struts through Harvey Specter's building, donned in her signature sophisticated outfit, a smile gracing her lips.

"Ms. Pearson!"

"Charles, it's good to see you. It's been so long," Jessica smiled at the familiar face.

"It has. I take it you're here to visit Harvey?"

"You know it. He doesn't know I'm in the city so I thought it'd be fun to surprise an old friend,"

The man giver her a toothy grin and shakes his head, "I think you could head up then. They might come home in half an our or so," Charles explains.

Jessica's interest immediately piques at Charles' choice of words.

"Them?" Jessica raised her eyebrows. She was not about to head up the place if Harvey's booty call will come home with him.

"Yeah. Him and Donna went out on a date. You know how those two are," Charles said, unaware of the fact that he was revealing some brand new information to Jessica.

"Yeah. I do," Jessica smiles longingly, hopeful that Harvey had finally gotten some sense knocked into him.

Jessica went up Harvey's condo regardless, and the scene she saw in front of her confirmed her suspicions. Harvey's place was more lively in a way, more warmth seeping into it. Jessica has an inkling that it has to do with the two glasses of wine instead of one glass of whiskey sitting on the living room table. It has something to do with the high-end heels that are placed by the door that she knows a certain redhead loves all too well. The picture frames that now have photos of two people who are in a committed relationship. The number of cacti strewn about the place—Jessica knows Harvey would probably not have the patience to keep one alive. It has something to do with Harvey's place containing more color other than the cool tones he has had over the years.

The condo looks lived in. Not that it wasn't before, but there is a certain aura emanating from the place that no longer screamed single bachelor looking to sleep with half of Manhattan.

Jessica chuckles. Idiots. They finally became as close as to people could be. Jessica fetches her phone and dials a familiar phone number. Her call gets answered after four rings.

"Jessica?" He sounded surprised that she was calling, "Everything okay?"

"More than," Jessica replied genuinely, she was happy for them.

"So. Why'd you call? You never call unless it's something serious," He counters.

"Well, I was in the city and was wondering if I could stop by to say hi and catch up," Jessica pushes, hoping that he'd take the bait.

Harvey almost chokes, which he quickly covers the speaker of the phone. However, even with that pathetic attempt, Jessica could still hear the faint laughter of Donna, and a mumbled "Are you okay?" from her.

"Harvey?" Jessica tries again.

"Tell you what. Why don't we set up lunch for tomorrow. I'm kind of busy right now with a client," Harvey lies, but Jessica knows better. She plays along anyway, getting a slight kick out of Harvey scrambling.

"At 9:00 in the evening?" Jessica quietly laughs.

"A very important client," She hears Harvey reply, a slight chuckle coming out of him.

"Do I happen to know this client?"

"You do," and it's in the way Harvey says the words that she knows he has finally got the woman that was meant for him. He said it with such a relief. She wants to give him shit, but she senses that the two have not told anyone about their relationship (except for those who are privy enough to see them in the mornings and nights they were not at the office).

"I'll let you go then," Jessica says.

"Bye. I'll see you tomorrow,"

"I can't believe you called me a client. I feel dirty," Donna scolds him, half tipsy from the drinks they have had.

Harvey rolls his eyes at her theatrics. She's infuriating. He loves her.

"I didn't mean it like that and you know it," Harvey responded, grinning back at her.

"You could have told Jessica that you were alone," Donna laughs.

"Donna, it's loud in this restaurant. Besides, she bought it," Harvey gloats.

"She probably already knows,"

"How could you possibly know that?"

Donna looks at him as if Really? "Because I'm Donna…" to which Harvey rolls his eyes to but Donna continues, "and you really, really suck at making excuses."

She scrunches her noes and laughs. Harvey would take offense but he loves her like this. Carefree, hair slightly messed from the wind outside and his fingers running through it, and her eyes glinting with what he can only describe as love. He stares at her, really stares at her and wonders how on Earth he got lucky and how he was able to keep it together for the last 15 years. He was so used to watching her with glass in between them or from across their desks, but now, he has the privilege to do so as often as he'd like.

"What?" Donna sensed his eyes focused on her, eyebrows furrowing in concern.

He gently grabs her hand and her thumb instinctively caresses his knuckles, "I just really, really like you."

Donna fakes a gasp, "Like?"

"Love, Donna. I thought you were supposed to know that," Harvey replied, and it was Donna's turn to roll her eyes—though her cheeks were tinged red.

Jessica sighs and shakes her head. She has seen the way Harvey and Donna has interacted while working together, and anyone with eyes would know that the two have been into each other the second Harvey took her to the firm with him. Hell, maybe even way before that. She has seen them challenge each other, argue, work together in a magical way. They have been a team since day one and it was lovely for Jessica to see them become a team hopefully for the rest of their lives—without it being confined in the walls of the firm.

Even though Jessica was Harvey's mentor, Donna has taught him to be a great lawyer without even knowing it. She allowed Harvey to see that someone was worth caring for, and for that, Donna will always have her respect.

Jessica heads back down, where Charles was getting ready to head up.

"You ain't waiting?" Charles asked as he heard the click of her steps.

"No, I'll see them a different day," Jessica responded.

"I'll let the lovebirds know you stopped by,"

"Why don't you keep this between us," Jessica says.

She knows Donna and Harvey would tell her eventually, and she wants them to have this short time being in their own bubble for a while longer. Charles nodded in acknowledgement and watched the captivating woman walk away.
