Author's notes: sorry I haven't updated in a while, here is the next chapter, I hope you like it.
Chapter 4
It's been three weeks since Claire met Virgil and his family, she had got to know them all a little more. Claire had opened up to Virgil and the others, she didn't want to keep anything from them.
Right now Claire, Penny and Virgil were in the office talking to Virgil's family lawyer Mr Thomas McGee, about the court case. Claire told Mr Thomas McGee everything that Matt Smith did to her, it wasn't easy for her to tell them as she didn't want to relive the bad nightmare.
Mr Thomas McGee wrote everything down. "I think that I have enough to get started with"
Claire nods even though she fells drained of energy. "I just want Matt to be punished... and for me to move on"
Virgil held Claire's hand and she turns to look at him to see him smiling gently at her.
Virgil brings Claire into a hug. "You will move on, I'll help you and stay by your side... I promise"
Claire had tears in her eyes and hugs Virgil tighter. "Thank you Virgil I don't know where I would be without you by my side and supporting me"
After talking more about the court case, Virgil, Claire and Penny went to a restaurant for lunch.
Claire was nervous about the court case. "I can't wait till the case is over with... but I'm nervous about seeing Matt as he scares me"
Virgil hugs Claire. "You won't be on your own when you see him, I'll be there by your side and so will my brothers"
Claire wraps her arms around Virgil. "Thank you Virgil... I love you"
Virgil smiles and kisses Claire gently. "I love you too Claire"
They ordered their lunch and drinks, Virgil asked for a cheese and tomato pasta with a Pepsi max, Claire asked for the same and Penny asked for spaghetti Bolognese with a diet coke.
It wasn't long before their lunch and drinks arrived, they talked while eating. Claire felt more relaxed as the day went by.
Virgil was feeling a little nervous about asking Claire something, he had a talk with Scott which he agreed with Virgil. Virgil sat next to Claire and takes her hands into his, she turns to look at Virgil.
Virgil takes a deep breath in and lets it out. "Claire I want to ask you something"
Claire saw how nervous Virgil was "What do you want to ask me?"
Virgil closed his eyes then opens them again. "Would you like to live with me on Tracy Island?"
Claire was shocked and speechless, she didn't think Virgil would ask her to live with him. Once Claire recovered she smiles. "Yes I would love to live with you Virgil"
Virgil let's out a breath that he didn't know he was holding in, he gently hugs Claire and kisses her. Virgil leans his forehead against Claire's and smiles. "You made me the happiest man in the world"
Claire couldn't help but smile at Virgil. "I better get back to Penny's to pack my things"
Virgil nods gentle. "I'll help you too"
Claire felt like the luckiest girl in the world. "Thank you Virgil"
Virgil and Claire went back to Penny's so Claire could pack her things with Virgil's help. Once the packing was done it was time for a nice cup of tea and cake, Virgil had a cup of coffee while Claire and Penny had a cup of tea.
Penny smiles at Virgil and Claire. "I'm going to miss having you here Claire"
Claire put her cup down. "I'm going to miss you too, even Parker and Sherbet"
Penny smiles. "Don't worry we'll visit when we can, plus you will be invited to the charity ball I have planned"
Claire nods. "And I'll be back for the court case"
Virgil wrap's his arms around Claire gently. "I'll be with you too... my family will be here to support you as well"
Claire wrapped her arms around Virgil. "I'm so lucky to have you in my life as well as your family, Penny and Parker"
After a few hours it was time for Virgil and Claire to leave, Parker had helped Virgil to put Claire's things on board Tracy One. Claire hugged Penny and Parker then boarded the plane with Virgil. Once Virgil sat in the pilot's seat he strapped in and did his pre-flight checks, Claire sat in the co-pilot seat and strapped in waiting for Virgil to finish and take off.
Once Virgil was done he took off heading for Tracy Island, it was going take a few hours to get there. Claire was lost in her own thoughts.
Claire's thoughts-
This is a new chapter in my life and Virgil is here with me. I wonder what it's going to be like in my new home with Virgil and his family?.
Claire smile's at the thought of her new home where Virgil lives with his family. Virgil turns to see Claire smiling and reached his hand over to gently holds her hand in his hand, he smiles at her when she looks to him.
Virgil looks into her eyes and asked. "Are you ok Claire?"
Claire nods gently. "Yes I'm fine Virgil…… I just couldn't help but smile at the thought of moving to my new home with you"
Virgil smiles from ear to ear, he brought Claire's hand up to his lips and gently kisses her hand. Claire blushed and smile's lovingly at Virgil.
Virgil keeps a hold of Claire's hand while turning to look back in front of the plane's window, Claire also looks out of the window and see that it was dark outside now.
Virgil didn't look at Claire. "If you're tired then you can go to sleep, I'll wake you before we land"
Claire nods sleepily. "Ok thank you Virgil"
She closed her eye and was out like a light. Virgil looks and smiles gently then he went back to what he was doing.
Virgil and Claire had been flying for a several hours. Claire was still asleep peacefully, she hadn't had a nightmare in weeks….. since she had been sharing a bedroom with Virgil. It was like Virgil was chasing her nightmares away.
It was day light now and Virgil looked out on the horizon for Tracy Island, he turns to his sleeping beauty next to him and thinks to himself. Claire is so beautiful when she sleeps.
He gently shakes Claire. "Claire honey wake up…. We're almost home"
Claire opens her eyes and blinks a few time at the day light and yawns. Claire smiles at Virgil when she look to him. "Good morning Virgil….. thank you for waking me up"
Virgil smiles then leans over and kisses claire gently and softly. "Your welcome my angel… we'll be landing soon, I already contacted Scott to tell him we will be there soon"
Claire nods gently. "Thank you my knight in shining armor….. I can't wait till we land so I can stretch my legs"
Virgil chucks and he had to agree with her then looks back out the window and sees Tracy Island, he point it out to Claire, she look then smiles at where her new home is.
The Island was in the middle of the Atlantic and surrounded by the ocean with a sandy beach, there was also a beautiful home. The Island looked like a old volcano that has a lush green trees that more like a jungle.
Virgil called to say he was ready to land, his brother gave Virgil permission to land. Virgil lands Tracy One gently, he put the plane into the hanger and once inside Virgil did his end pre-flight checks then turns everything off.
Virgil turns to Claire smiling. "We're home Claire"
Claire looks to Virgil and smile's. "Yes Virgil we are home"
Virgil undone his seatbelt and stands up then looks to Claire who had just undone her seatbelt.
Virgil holds his hand out to Claire. "Let's get you settled in…… once we get you unpacked and settled, I'll show you around"
Claire takes his hand and nods. "Ok it's a great plan" They both exited Tracy One where everyone was waiting for them.
