Nermal didn't like being hated by Garfield one bit. He was possibly nervous.

"I can't believe Garfield hates me." thought Nermal. "Well, Garfield might play with me by tomorrow, so that's good." Nermal thought, happily.

"Did I just hear that I'm wanting to play with you while hating you?" thought Garfield, in the room, overhearing what Nermal said. "Do you have any idea why I hate you?"

"Yes, it's because I'm too cute and adorable to hang around with, and you're too jealous about it." thought Nermal to Garfield.

"No! It's because I don't want you around the house! That does it, prepare to be thrown out." thought Garfield, as he threw Nermal out of the house, leaving a Nermal-shaped hole in the door.

"Garfield, I can't believe you would throw Nermal through the door! Why would you do that, for crying out loud?!" said Jon angrily.

"I did this to prevent cute cats from going outside." thought Garfield.

"Um...I can accept that." said Jon, possibly having the look of defeat on his face. "Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna be going outside to see if Nermal's around."

Jon Arbuckle then goes outside. Nermal was out there, being sick of being thrown through the door.

"Aw man, I hate it when Garfield does this to me." thought Nermal.

"I feel your pain, pal." said Jon Arbuckle, comforting him.

"Do you think I'm cute?" thought Nermal to Jon, adoring him with his cute-looking eyes.

"Sure." said Jon Arbuckle.

"Would you want to pet me?" thought Nermal.

"Okay. I can pet you for one hour." said Jon.

1 hour later...

Nermal was tired of being pet by Jon that he started to yawn and fall asleep.

"Well, it appears that Nermal's sleepy. I had myself pet him for a long time and he started getting tired." said Jon Arbuckle. "I sure know how to take care of a kitten."
