Mother and son had finished eating a rich chicken and vegetable stew curiously prepared by the latter, and now the former was watching the boy carefully because he was preparing to leave, she was overcome with curiosity and could not help but ask the following:

"Where are you going, son?"

The child did not even turn his gaze to the adult woman and only said the following:

"Walking."

The woman was not satisfied with such a curt answer and immediately got up from her chair.

"I'm coming with you."

The spiky black-haired boy shook his head (even without looking at her) and followed by disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

"Naruto!"

A little girl suddenly lifted her face from the small pond into which she had fallen from the maw and seeing her dirty face, without a second's hesitation she quickly washed her face with the fresh, cool water.

"I'm sorry, daddy... I couldn't be good..."

Without being able to help it, she began to cry with anguish and frustration because she could do nothing to be able to change the fate.

"Hey, kiddo... Are you all right? What a fall you took."

She couldn't help but be shocked and instinctively fell on her butt totally terrified by the person who was a few feet away from her position.

"W-where did you come from!"

She saw the mysterious boy look at her unblinkingly, which was kind of scary in a way.

"I was always here, child. You just didn't notice... by the way, I'm Naruto."

The boy (4) known as 'Naruto' has a semi-tanned complexion. He has spiky black hair with a striking gray sheen along with two locks framing his face and charcoal-dark eyes. Another interesting thing about his face were the three pairs of black marks on his cheeks, birthmarks. Her clothing consists of animal hides and skins (bear and wolf), and she wears a dark green sash around her waist.

The girl took a few seconds to respond and when she did, it was as follows:

"Match... And stop calling me girl as if you weren't a brat!"

The girl (4) known as 'Match' is white in complexion. She has long black hair and brown eyes. Her attire consists of a light brown dress and a headband made of strings.

Our beloved protagonist nodded his head without giving any importance to the girl's explosive reaction.

"It's a pleasure..." Naruto paused slightly and raised his eyebrows as he remembered something. "Is this by any chance yours?"

The girl's brown eyes sparkled at the sight of the object in the boy's hands because she thought she had lost it in her escape/persecution of the bad people.

"Mr. crab!" March exclaimed very happily and without wasting time to short the distance between her and the boy her age.

The spiky black haired boy blinked several times as the rag made animal was snatched from her hands, apparently he underestimated the girl because his speed was really impressive... or maybe it was just his imagination.

"Thank you, thank you!" March repeated the same word over and over again as she hugged the mystery child tightly.

Obviously this action of the girl took the dark-eyed charcoal boy by surprise and he didn't know what to do in the face of this unexpected action.

"Yes... it was nothing..." Naruto said with a slight blush embarrassed because he was the second person in this world (since he reincarnated) to hug him, the first being his mother.

After the drama, they both looked at each other in silence not knowing what to say, until, our beloved protagonist decided to break the awkward silence as follows:

"Anyway... What's a girl doing alone in the forest?" asked Naruto with a curious expression because he didn't see or feel the energy similar to the girl for at least a kilometer.

The girl with long black hair frowned at the question of the boy with exotic markings on his cheeks, she couldn't help but compare him to a cute kitten.

"Hey, I'd say the same for you!" March angrily accused and even pointed at him with her right hand in a very dramatic way.

The spiky black-haired boy changed his facial expression a bit at that verbal jab from the girl.

"Touche..." Naruto muttered accepting that small defeat. "But, I asked you first," the one with crossed arms added without taking a step back.

The brown-eyed girl pouted at the counterattack of this 'talking coal'... yes, she would from now on start identifying him that way the times he annoyed her.

"I was escaping..." March whispered a reply and at the same time averted her gaze anywhere because she didn't want to look Naruto in the eyes.

The charcoal dark eyed boy didn't form any expression at that answer.

"Of what?" asked Naruto without judging anything yet, but he was already somewhat tense because it was obvious that he could sense when someone was afraid or even when they were lying.

The girl with long black hair began to tremble slightly as she remembered the cause of her escape.

"Evil people of Yanome... w-want to sacrifice me to O-Oniguma, but I don't want to die... I have a dream I want to fulfill!" March exclaimed with fresh tears escaping from his eyes.

Our beloved protagonist's eyes were shaded at the girl's words.

"Sacrifice...?" Naruto muttered with his hands clenched into fists. "I'll stop it, I refuse to see something like that, Dattebayo!" He exclaimed with obvious anger flashing in his eyes like the same burning fire of the Amaterasu.

The brown-eyed girl was surprised at the boy's emotional outburst and when she looked into his eyes she couldn't help but be breathless because they reflected one.

"H-How?" March asked with a slight stutter and also of hope at the possibility that Naruto could do something to help her, so she leaned into this because she wanted to see her family again and fulfill her biggest dream.

The spiky black-haired boy raised his right fist in front of his face and at the same time formed a reassuring smile.

"With my-

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Those screams immediately silenced anything Naruto could have said to the girl.

"W-what was that...?" asked March with obvious fear that was reflected with a stutter on her part and at the same time she instinctively moved closer to the talking coal for protection.

Naruto didn't even look in the direction of the screams of horror and pain of those subjects who had the bad luck to cross paths with a certain person... he couldn't help but grimace because his moment of glory.

"My... mother... she surely already kicked the asses of those Yanome people who were following you."

Even though that might sound unbelievable and impossible to anyone, March believed it to the letter and couldn't help his eyes watering because maybe he could still live peacefully and happily with his family in Ninnanah.

At the Same Time

A pair of golden eyes watched the interaction between the girl and the boy with relief and happiness.

"Thanks to Kami-sama... my baby is fine-"

March! Come here, you brat!

Goki frowned when she heard the voices of those guys and immediately went on the offensive, she took a leap and landed hard in front of the humans.

"Don't even think of hurting my son..."

The two men froze in their places at the sight of the woman because her voice sounded so wild and dangerous that it made them swallow saliva, and not long after their screams of fear and pain were heard throughout the forest.

Omake 2

Naruto was idly standing by and also pouting at March's request, so without hesitation he said the following:

"No."

The girl with long black hair was taken by surprise at the refusal of her new friend and the first boy she formed a friendship with.

"Hey, why!"

The spiky black haired boy averted his gaze to anywhere in the tree house that was well hidden in the woods, this he did because he didn't want to meet his friend's eyes and fall for the 'puppy dog eyes' again.

"Why not."

March immediately changed her tender eyes to an annoyed expression because she didn't get her point across.

"If you don't play daddy and mommy with me I'll tell Mrs. Goki that you're hiding here."

Naruto froze in place at her friend's threat because he never expected her to threaten him like that and there was also the situation that he didn't want his mother to know his secret place, he cherished his solitude and privacy away from her. In the end he sighed in defeat and said the following between his teeth:

"Fine... You, you win."

The brown-eyed girl jumped up and down in happiness and gave a victory sign with her right hand to her friend.

"Yay!"

The dark-eyed charcoal boy had a shadowed look on his face that quickly changed to a rather depressed one because he didn't want to play this girl's game, so he couldn't help but have the following thought:

"Damn, manipulative girl..."
