Chapter 3:Your my Partner?
Overhead of the emerald forest right now everything was quiet and peaceful right now as a small bird came flying to find a place to rest its small wings. However a moment later a blue blur came in before crashing into it
That being nyx who spat out the bird who flew back cawing as she groaned feeling feather in her mouth.
"Nasty!"she shouted as cheering could be heard close by. Looking to her side she saw two of her sister right now with two of the others. That being cleo, delilah, simone and fay as cleo noticed her waving to her
"Heyya sis! Good luck finding a partner we already found ours!"cleo called out before activating her semblance. Immediately a greyish blue organic material crawled up her bodie right now. As it wrapped around her it was thin in appearance while from her back sprouted out eight long spider like limps. With her face morphing into a spider like face with her having eight pupiless dark blue eyes
While fay activated hers as a maroon organic material covered her entire bodie seeming to be thin and he joints had white lines dotting it. Then what happened next was as it covered her face it covered all of it as from her head a witch hat sprotued that drooped at the top. With her back slightly bulging as out from it came out a pair of wings similar to fairies in old fairy tails.
Immediately cleo scooped up simone as the spider faunus fired a web into a tree. With her holding onto simone tight who cheered as the two came crashing down. But as they did cleo spun a web ball around them to soften her landing right now. While fay scooped up delilah cheering as the two flew down
Once on the ground fay gently set delilah down as spinning down was cleo and simone. Undoing the web by cutting it open the two slipped out already formed up
Then their was yuki who used her guitar firing off a stream of ice steadying her descent onto the ground. While eros feet light up as he reached a tree before running down it in a spiral around the tree hitting the ground as he sped off to avoid becoming his cousins partner.
While their was kris using a path of glyphs to safely make his way down to the ground. As viola activated her gloves as a holographic object appeared similar to a grappling hook. Throwing it forward viola caught something as she began to slide down a tree to safety
With nyx sighing as she activated her own semblance right now. That being the same like her siblings as a pure white organic material that covered her bodie. As it wrapped around her flexing her hands razor sharp talons emerged with her feet doing the same thing. As her wolf tail got covered in it still looking slick and fluffy. While covering her face was a wolf canine like jaw mask as she sky dived through the air
Mmedaitly she crashed into a tree but used her semblance she dubbed lycan. As she came sliding down the entire tree to the very bottom as she created a deep groove in the spiral before panting brushing the leaves off then sighed
"Okay at least i'm fi–"She stopped to hear screaming as she looked up to see it was rosa who was trying to grab her scythe. But then someone immediately came crashing into her with screaming being heard as the two collided into a tree
This made her wince as the two began to fall down but immediately rosa turned into a swarm of light pink rose petals inherited from her mother as she came down onto the ground for safety to her relief
"Whoever rosa just saved better thank them. Now i need to find nubia or viola for my partner….maybe yuki or lance even"she said aloud to herself taking off for a partner right now
With rosa right now she was groaning and whining as she came out of her petal form collapsing onto the ground. Because that entire trip down hurt her bodie right now like she felt like she went one of one with a berginal right now
"Owie ughhh thanks whoever you are that saved me"rosa whined
As the person who collided with her was isa who head felt very dizzy right now before shaking her head off. Looking who she rammed into she went starry eyed smiling right now
"I got you as my partner!"isa cheered as rosa looked up smiling before the two short girls hugged each other with huge smiles on their faces
"THIS IS THE BEST!"both cheered in unison smiling as they separated from each other before they heard the sound of someone talking aloud to himself
That being kris who growled as he slipped on one of his glyphs knocking himself off balance. Which made him land straight into a tree branch as he growled trying to get his leg unstuck
"Dammit! Can someone help me right now! I'm stuck!"kris called out as the two emerged which he noticed sighing in relief
"Thank god you two are here help me down from here"kris pleaded as rosa saluted
"I got you!"rosa called up turning into her petal form before zooming up. As she got up she raised her scyhtye as he figured what she was gonna do
"no..no..no!"kris shouted but it was too late as she cut the tree branch off sending him flying to the ground. Kris screamed as isa used her semblance throwing out a ball like object that stuck to the ground before turning into smoke as appearing was a air mattress
Kris came crashing down screaming as he landed hard onto it but had a safe landing as he sighed in relief. Rosa came back down high fiving isa for a job well done
"Their we are one free wolf!"isa cheered as kris was annoyed but appreciated it
"Thank god that you helped me out let me guess you two are partner?"kris asked as the two smiled
"Yeah sorry…it would have been funny if we did get paired up since ours mom were partners"rosa said as he sighed
"Well lets hope i don't run into thrud hopefully i get someone pleasant. Maybe eros"kris said but from behind he felt someone place an arm around him. Looking to the source he frowned to see yuki their smiling
"Found my partner this is awesome!"yuki cheered as kris groaned being stuck with her now. As they all traversed ahead to their object
The scene changes to nyx who cut down a grimm without much issue. She lifted up her short katana that was now a six chamber revolver with the barrel taking the shape of a wolf opening it maw. Pressing the trigger a loud gunshot went off killing it.
Nyx sighed rubbing her head"where the heck is everyone? I feel like i've been walking around for ages at this point. Maybe deeper….dang it sis i said we should meet up with each other."nyx groaned holding her revolver at the ready before someone from above called to her
"Look out below!"someone said above her as she turned
"Oh crap!"nyx said before she got kicked square in the face by someone. Dust was kicked up all around her and the voice said"urghhh thanks for breaking the fall nux"it sounded familiar
Looking up it was lance who had a slightly green face as she growled
"Get off me before you puke on me"nyx warned
"I'm not going to…oh no"lance said before running to a nearby bush before expelling his guts out again like yesterday as she shivered in disgust. Lance whipped his mouth off annoyed it happened again on his second day
"Is it a dumb curse that my dad had or something?!"lance shotued wondering if this was a curse
Nyx giggled a little"maybe but hey i think i know what this means now"nyx said as he sighed
"Where both partner?"lance asked as she smiled offering him a high five which he returned
"Just like how our dads are like brothers in a way….we better get going soon"nyx said as he nodded
"Sure but who do you think our other two teammates will be?"lance asked drawing out his sword with one hand easily with her tapping her chin for just a moment
"No clue but delilah, cleo, fay and simone are on a team i guess together now. We should find kenji and viola lets hope they got paired up"nyx stated
"Good idea i wouldn't mind yuki or rosa even might be a good fit"lance said as they continued on
In another part of the forest was kenji running around looking for his cousins or someone he knew calling out to nothing but silence
"Hello! Anyone here! Come on rosa! Isa! Heck even thrud!"kenji called out but got nothing
"Dam this is boring"he said to himself until he heard the rustling of some bushes turning around smiling
"Finally someone is here"he said getting close but instead of a voice he received a roar. As hoping out of the bushes was a uras as he went wide eyed staring at the new foe infront of him
"Nope you guys aint cuddly like aunt pipers"kenji said ready to book it now as the claws tried to slash him
The grimm was twice his size as he stared at it closer seeing it was an alpha who roared at him.
"Ohhh nice bear…nice bear….want some honey?"he asked jokingly
The alpha didn't want any honey instead charged at him. With a flick of his wrist hsi guanlents activated. The weapons covered his entire wrist with the lower part of his wrist having the barrel pop out of the side. As their was a magazine sticking out as he smiled
Running forward the uras charged at him but reeling his right hand back into a fist and once the grimm got close. He punched it firing off a loud gunshot sounding like a handcannon. As his guanlents where handcannons with him smiling before uppercuting it quickly sending it into a tree
"Should have just accepted the honey"he said as from behind jumping at him was gulper from a nearby pond. The grimm hissed as kenji heard it doding it easily
"Come on you couldn't even hit me fish bre.."he said but he saw somehting come into his line of sight that being a strand of hair falling to the ground
Staring at the strand of hair he growled right now because this was one thing you don't mess with. Like his mother before him he had one thing that pissed him off that being his hair as he grolwed
Closing his eyes for a moment then the anger boiled inside him
"You did not just do that!"he roared as his amber eyes changed to a lilac before a menacing purple aura surrounded him. As it did bringing his fist together his semblance activated. Then he started to grow in size a little as he growled bearing a set of fangs before he popped whiskers from his cheeks as his semblance let him go to his beastly side
"Come here!"kenji shouted grabbing the gulper easily before throwing it down onto his knee snapping it back as it turned into black smoke dying
The alpha roared at him"come on buddy lets go you and me!"kenji yelled
As the uras prepared to attack suddenly from behind someone touched it back. With it slowly starting to turn into stone right now as it started to turn into a stone statue to his surprise. Then tipping it forward it came crashing down into a million pieces
Kenji panted exhausted a little before his eyes turned back to amber seeing vicktor their waving to him
"Hey guess you and me are partner buddie."vicktor said as the cat faunus chuckled
"Theirs a joke here…the dynamic feline duo it seems"kenji said with a grin making vicktor laugh
"Funny. Come on lets keep moving to the temple"vickotr cheered as they traveled in the direction of the temple now. But as they did a large shadow loomed with thundering footsteps being heard right now through the forest as something was making its way through
Right now viola was not having the best time right now. She finds certain things annoying mainly being spiders since as a kid she got bite by one. Even though one of her moms and some siblings are spider faunus she fine with them. She accdinelt got bit by one as a kid but slowly slinked past a spider web
"Okay i'm safe…goodness i hate this place"viola said as a roar came close by
This made both her rabbits ear flop over following the source to a reaper who screeched at her. As the bug like grimm swiped at her slicing through three tree as her ears flopped over narrowly missing her hea. Groaning she drew her weapon summoning a familar glaive also known as divine tribution her mothers weapon
"Guess your my first grimm for the day….i got this!"she siad as the grimm screeched at her swinging at its prey again. But quickly she blocked the attack projecting it back toward the grimm
The grimm got slowed a little but it shrugged it off charging at her with the intent to kill. Thinking of a straegy she switched to a staff twirling it as she had something on her eye now. That being a eye scanner like object as she tiwlred her staff hitting the grimm in the leg. Before she whacked it in its other leg
The repeater stumbled as she smiled"i knew this eyepiece i invented would come in handy! It can scan any weapon and upload it to my gloves!"she boasted
But the grimm snarled before swinging into her launching her hard into a tree as she gasped coughing and groaning from the impact
"I shouldn't have talked about it…owwwww"viola said
As she looked up the bug like grimm came rushing at her riaisng its blade arms to slice her down. Closing her eyes her ears flopped over as she expected the worst but sitead of that silence came. Before two loud shots rang out hitting the grimm in the chest as it cried out in pain
Opening her eyes she saw lynn aiming his revolvers at the beast scoffing
"Seems i get one of the annoyances in that little group"lynn coldly said making her glare at him before standing up growling
"Don't call my sisters that"viola growled going into her semblance right now apart of her family. A deep purple color covered her entire bodie at that moment organic in design. While it did flexing her hands she spread her hands to reveal talon like fingers that looked razor sharp. While she had a pair of wings shoot out of her back that unfolded to reveal dragon like wings on her back with a liht blue membrane to them. Once her face got covered it revealed a smoothed out face with her rabbit ears being covered. While her face had two eye slits on it which where dark blue but he saw her eyes
Immediately viola charged into the grimm who picked itself up. But she jumped onto it flxeing her hands burying them into its skull as it screech it pain. Before tearing her hands out killing it as it dispapered
Jumping down she panted molting her armor off panting"their its done…now where partners i guess"she said
Lynn blinked for a moment"so it seems you aren't as annoying as those other ones"he said making her growl
"Stop calling my cousin, sister and friends that! Also don't think your better than everyone"viola said as he sighed
"Well sorry that little annoyance with pink hair got on my nerves…is she always like that"lynn questioned
Viola sighed as her ears flopped over slightly"you mean isa…shes always like that childish and what not. But shes not too bad when you get to know her more…mostly"viola replied which didn't help
"Well thats just great lets keep on heading to our objective partner"lynn said as she nodded following him right now.
The scene then changes again to reveal rosa and isa right now. Along with yuki and kris by their side as they where fighting off a horde of beowulf and husk that screeched jumping toward them. But swinging he scythe forward was rosa clipping it in half
While kris summoned several fire glyphs into his foes burning a small group of husk and beowulfs right now. While yuki reeled her guitar back swinging forward bashing a grimm skull in as she laughed
"Awesome!"yuki cheered whil isa weapon consited of kunai as she twirled them throwing three into a husk. With one having a tag attached to it before it blew up taking out few nearby grimm but rosa noticed something that being more grimm
"Oh no…we gotta move if we don't we'll get overrun!"rosa called out
"Who made you leader?"kris replied as rosa growled
"Just move!"rosa called out as yuki noticed their current situation whistling to isa
"Throw some of your bombs at em!"yuki called out as isa smiled throwing some bomb tagged kunais out onto the ground. While yuki lifted her guitar up shredding it firing off a stream of ice from the barrel covering the ground before her in ice.
Then they immediately ran away with the bomb tagged kunai blowing up taking down any grimm in its path. As they all ran away to safety soon enough kris panted as his tail swayed
"Where safe! But next time lets not just appoint someone to be the team leader"kris said as isa chuckled with a pant
"What you gonna be on a team with us or something?"isa joked as he chuckled
"Maybe i'll be fine with that…maybe then i can upstage her mother and become the leader. It be irony at its finest"kris replied as rosa laughed slightly
"Funny…eh well i wouldn't mind…being a leader doesn't really suit me in my opinion"Rosa said catching her breath right now.
"Well then lets go. Wonder what the others are up to right now?"yuki said as they kept walking ahead to their designation with the loud footsteps kept echoing sounding not that far now as something was getting closer now
Elsewhere right now in the forest was eros who was walking with his axe out before he heard the distinct sound of gunfire as he hummed for a moment
"Seems that is not that far…my guess a machine gun?"eros said to himself
He kept moving through the woods right now before long the snapping and crashing of branches could be heard. Drawing his axe out at the ready immediately something came crashing through the woods right now
That being a king tajtu as it almost hit him but he jumped back narrowly doging it. As he landed on the ground panting right now with him sighing in relief
"Watch where you launch grimm idiot!"eros cheered as someone laughed right now
"Hey i finally found a partner!"a feminine voice siad making him flinch
As he didn't want to believe it but that voice sounded like a familiar girl right now. Following the source his eyes widden in horror as before him was thrud who waved to him with her mace out and a machete in the other hand.
The two stayed in silence as the grimm turnd into dust with him groaning in utter shock and pain right now.
"Noooo! I rather have my dumb cousin or isa! You'll be the death of me!"eros cried out in agony
Thrud scoffed walking over sheathing her mace and machete she dubbed her sword named flower and her mace power. Combined their called flower power
"Come on i aint that bad. Besides lucky we ran into each other something weird is going on"thrud said as she was one to talk
"Your one to talk now i'm stuck with the girl who charges into battle with no idea at all. "Eros said as he drew his axe out he called firestorm while she sighed rubbing her head shaking a few leafs out of her hair
"Well i saw a big grimm the size of a building stompings its way through the woods….i was just saying we should avoid it"thrud said as he stared at her huffing
"Smartest idea you've ever had….lets go"eros said taking point changing his axe into a crossbow with orange and red colors to it. With the tip of it having a pair of flaming wings on the curved parts of it. Thrud shrugged her shoulders humming skipping after him right now to continue their initiation.
It seems everyone got partnered up for their upcoming tirals in the emerald forest. I wonder what will happen next? will they be like their parents and fight some massive grimm..maybe. Thanks for reading!
