Chapter 6: First Day Part 1
As quick as the night came the sun soon rose over beacon academy once again. The sun shined through the window right now with everyone slowly waking up to start their day. But still fast asleep in her bed was nyx who peacefully was snoring in her sleep right now
But as she was asleep already up to start her day was rosa in the typical school uniform for beacon academy. As she was busy tying her shoes together before getting up looking at herself in the mirror smiling right now.
"Guys wake up its time to start our first day of classes!"rosa cheered loudly to wake all of them up. With isa sitting up yawning rubbing her tired eyes right now half awake staring at her partner
Lance woke up rubbing his neck before stretching his back out with a loud pop being heard as he sighed
"Man i'm tired and sore from yesterday"lance said
Nyx snored a little more before shooting awake as her hair was all over the place. While she had her ears flopped over with her yawning right now staring at her cousin
"Your up bright and early I guess cousin….let me guess excited"nyx asked as rosa blushed slightly
"Well umm i couldn't sleep..i'm just you know…nervous about today…i am the team well leader…even though i'm younger…i feel like you guys won't respect me"rosa replied as isa sighed walking over hugging her
"Come on rosa it'll be fine. Besides…your only like one year apart from us which isn't that bad i'm sure."isa said
"Yeah but guess i need to leave you all to change. Touch my clothes your dead graves"lance warned
"What me? I would never….well that one time i did give you a bright pink pair of running pants to borrow after my baby brother peed on your lap"nyx said with a toothy grin as he frowned leaving them
"You know its weird how we have a boy in our team. Can we change him out"isa joked
"I heard that!"lance shouted on the other side as the three laughed a little
After maybe five minutes of waiting for them to change soon enough the other two came out in their outfits. Then lance got in changing into his that took ten minutes to get on. Once out nyx messed with her skirt for a bit as it was uncomfortable around her tail
"Dang it i hate skirts"nyx commented
"Don't be a big baby. Come on to breakfast before thrud gets their before us"isa cheered as they traveled to the cafeteria for breakfast
In the dining hall of the academy right now team RGIL already got their food and breakfast for the day. While rosa went over their schedules
"Okay so from what our schedule goes it goes with uncle for grimm studies. Professor oobleck for history. Combat training with aunt pyrrha then we have a few clases apart from each other. But a few of us are in uncle tarrus security and teaching class. Along with moms uh forging class with first aid being with i don't recognize this name though"rosa said as nyx sighed
"Cousin how much research went into this? Do not tell me since you coudln't sleep you stayed up last night?"nyx asked as rosa looked away from her cousin
"Maybe a little…okay it didn't take me long but i couldn't sleep"rosa whined as she was nervous all night for today.
As they ate isa noticed team KYTE, GHST, VOLK enter the cafeteria right now in tow
She waved to the three teams"you guys over here come join us!"isa shouted getting their attention as they made their way over with lynn looking annoyed
"Oh great i have to sit with the annoyance"lynn said annoyed as she growled
"I am not annoying quit being a meanie"isa said with a red face as yuki snorted a laugh back
"You can be annoying….eh my mom gets mad at me for playing my guitar too long though"yuki said drinking some coffee
"Come on give her a break. Besides thrud got a large plate of food already"cleo commented as thrud was scraffing down a very large plate of food to vicktor and lynn surprise to see someone eat this much food in one sitting
"Dam this girl can eat"vicktor thought
"So how did everyone sleep last night?"fay questioned
"Yeah because i'm all rested for a new day to fight me some grimm and cause some shengains on the side. Cousin?"kenji asked isa who smiled with a devilish grin on some mischief
"I would love that right now"isa said but viola placed a hand on her head
"Were not having that. Besides…..ughhh no offense but i hate having to share a dorm with you three boys"Viola said putting them on the spot right now as lynn sighed
"Their co-ed dorms. Don't worry i'm sure none of us would try anything"lynn replied
"Wow noble of you to say….how can we know you won't touch our sister in the middle of the night weirdo"cleo said pointing at finger at him as he pushed it away but an idea came to lance
"Hey quick thing i'm on a team full of girls"lance said confusing them
"So?"simone asked as eros even figured it out
"Its quite obvious. Their is no rules on you two switching dorms, viola can live with you three and lance can live with those four"eros commented as they thought about it for a moment
"That sounds like a good idea actually. Besides pretty sure bunny girl here won't wanna clean up soiled underwear….probably from cat boy here"he teaed as kenji stuck his tongue out at him as they became fast friends it seems.
"We'd need to ask the headmistresses first to be sure…i don't wanna get in trouble"rosa said scared
"It'll be fine besides…we should make our room have bunk beds it'd be fun"isa said excited
"That sounds like alot of fun actually"nyx agreed
"And highly dangerous"kris coldly added but was ignored
"Hey why don't we all get to know each other"vicktor suggested as some had bad news
"Well we all technically know each other for well our whole lives pretty much. I think i shared a crib with her…and her…and her"fay joked pointing at her sisters
"But we don't you and your weird little…sister thing"lynn replied
"Hey speaking of sisters, where is nubia?" delilah asked as they looked for their other sister right now realizing she wasn't eating with them
"Hey where is sis?"cleo asked
"Oh right this morning i ran into her. She wanted to eat with her teammates and get to know them more""fay answered
"Huh good on her….okay ask away you two"yuki replied as the two thought for a moment
"Well a thing about me is that i'm from menagerie actually believe it or not"vicktor mentioned to alot of surprise
"Huh? We've never seen you before and we've stayed their for a year one time"cleo replied puzzled as shes never seen him before as delilah had the thought pop into her head
"Ohhh wouldn't your dad be let me see….isn't he teacher at tamer?"deliah asked as that was menagier own huntsman academy as the cheetah faunus smiled
"Thats my dad. If i recall hes the….right hes the combat studies teacher their"vicktor replied peeking some interest
"Don't tell us you have a parent who works at atlas academy"kenji joked toward lynn who fornwed
Kris cleared his throat"actually i've known lynn his mother and mine became good friends at the daycare i attended"kris mentioned
Lynn chuckled"if you mean good friends. As in both our grandparents where friends and apparently my great grandmother was a good friend of your great grandfather"he mentioned as kris sighed nodding
"It would appear to be that ues"kris replied as his tail swayed around.
"Yeah surprised to see someone from atlas treating faunus alright. Even after the white fang destruction faunus still get some hate for it"simone mentioned
As lynn felt a little hurt by that"well i was raised to treat others who are different with respect"he replied as his words sounded true
"Yeah but well…hmmm so do you all just call each other cousin or something i heard that all day yesterday and now"vicktor asked as the others shared looks as thrud swallowed her food
"We kinda all view each other like that since we aren't related by blood but it feels like were family. "Thrud answered
"Still can't keep track of all the names you six have as siblings. Don't know how your parents even do that"eros added
"Its not that bad….ehhh its a little bad"fay admitted
"Come on lets just eat and talk some more. I'm excited for today"nyx said as they all agreed on that
As they continue to talk about other subjects for a while until they had to head to their first class of the semester here at beacon academy
While most of them had the same class together already having the same class together was team RGIL and team VOLK for their grimm studies class
As right now infront of them was zane holding a book on grimm in hand setting it down. While the room had several new species of grimm throughout their world right now along with some pictures of the grimm knights of long ago.
But out of the many before only one was missing but that one was standing in the room. On eht wall was a pair of revolvers along with that nightshade out in its katana form mounted on the wall
"Welcome everyone to my grimm studies class. Now you may have not had the old professor port like i did back in my day. Let me tell you he talked…alot"zane started as he paced around the room
"But i won't bore you with boring stories, i'll tell you a few if you have questions on grimm and how to defeat them. But today i have a question for all of you"zane said
As they all where taking notes right now which he noticed shaking his head sighing right now.
"Put those down for today. In my classroom for the first couple days you don't need to take notes besides…i have a perfect example for you to study"he continued to some confusion but then he whistles to something right now
As he did from above the rafters right now something leaped down onto the ground. That being a familiar blobby like grimm colored white with a large glowing blue eyes.
This startled a few students as picked up a book screaming
"Its a grimm kill it!"the student said running down with a book raising it to squish the booger like grimm. But the grimm hissed at him as their teacher grabbed the book laughing
"Calm down. You've heard of grimm hybrids correct?"he asked as some of the students nodded as he smiled
"Well if you need a reminder technically your teacher here is one. This little guy here is gonna be a special assistant for my class. This is dusk go say hi buddy"zane said as this was dusk who waddled up to the nearby desk toward someone familiar
That being viola as the grimm plopped himself on her lap cooing and nuzzling against her making all eyes on her as she blushed embarrassed
A nearby girl scoffed"what you luring that thing with treats in your pocket or something"She joked as her teammates laughed a little as viola looked down as nyx stood up for her
"Hey! This thing is pretty much our family pet so…yeah! Suck it"nyx retorted to some students surprise as vicktor reached over to pet him but dusk hissed nipping at his hand as he yelped
"Teacher he bite me!"vicktor shouted as he sighed with dusk hissing a little wobbling to appear threatening
"Oi! You dumb booger if you don't behave no treats….maybe i'll have dawn come instead of you this year. Shes nicer…play nice and apologize"he ordered
Dusk hissed a little before shfiitng his appearance into a white cat leaping over licking the hand he bite vick on to apologize as the cheetah faunus gently rubbed his head.
Soon dusk leaped around positioning himself ontop of the doorframe to watch all of the students right now
"Now with that settled. Tell me who here think they can kill a grimm"zane asked as they stood their in silence with no one stepping up as viola nervously raised her hand
"Ummm i'll go…umm…dad"viola said nerovusly as others students found her to be annoying already ti seems
"Well okay then. But heads up everyone i aint playing favorites even if your my kid…just a heads up"he said as viola slipped into the changing room for the day
After maybe ten minutes she returned in full combat gear with her gloves at the ready swallowing hard nervous on what she just volunteered for.
Aside her father was a crate close to his size currently lock. Slowly covering his fist in a pair of sharp claws as he extended them. Then riaisng them he smiled at her right now
"Be prepared i'm a hard teacher"he delcared swining down his fist opening the lock as the grimm rushed out
That being a strange looking grimm. As it had a black bodie but it looked very impaciated like it hasn't eaten in days right now. While its head was strange resembling a gas mask from the look of it like its fused with its skin. It had glowing red eyes with it having a flesh like hood on right now.
"Gah! What the heck is that thing?"kenji asked startled now
"Oh its a ghoul…but those things are hard to trap since their smart like humans."rosa replied
"But how did the school even get it?"lynn questioned
"Eh probably grandma since she deals in procuring grimm for the schools to use"nyx answered to him and vicktor surprise
With viola digitizing a curved sword similar to her sister nubia as she twirled them for a moment. Then the ghoul screched leaping at her trying to snatch her up. But she rolled away from it slicing at it back doing barely any damage to it
"Come on i taught you how to defeat this one….its obvious"zane reminded with a chuckle
"Goooo bunny ears!"kenji cheered on
"Come on sis you got this!"nyx cheered as well
"If you've killed it before do it again!"lynn shouted
"I know i have stop putting so much pressure on me!"viola snapped back making him flinch a little
The ghoul screech charging at viola again as she turned to avoid it this time. As she went at it head on to fight swinging both swords upward onto its mask. The grimm saw this dodging it like it was tring to protect its face as it tore something out of its back that being a makeshift spear made out of spine and bone shards. The grimm howled lunging at her trying to push her back
Lynn noticed it was trying to protect its face as he wanted to help her
"Viola its face! Go fo–'he was stopped
"Stop distracting me! I can't focus with your talking!"she snapped back making him a little hurt
As the ghoul leopard into the air bringing its spear into the air landing on the ground. Then it dragged the spear forward launching itself into viola body checking her hard as she gritted her teeth as it made her undigitize her weapon
Thinking quickly the grimm came back at her with full force to kill. But this time she was ready as she dodged the strike before cocking her fist back punching it sqaure in the gas mask. The grimm wheezed and coughed before falling to its knees turning into dust.
"Good job! Now i want someone to tell me how she could have easily killed it. You did an excellent job but this is a teaching moment"he asked as their was silence as vicktor raised his hand
"Yes?"zane asked
Vicktor leaned back in his seat a little"well i mean…when she hit the gas mask or whatever it died like instantly"he commneted as their professor snapped his fingers before walking over opening another cage as one stepped out to their surprise
As he stood their the ghoul screeched lunging at him but without looking he caught it mid air by its neck as it tried to claw at him but he ignored it
"Correct. The ghoul is a strong and skilled fighter resembling a human. It can lure in prey with its appearance. But the main downside is its gas mask like face. One simply shot their and its dead or well–"he paused before putting preassure on its neck snapping with a loud crack being heard as it fell to the ground dead.
Then the bell sounded off as that meant class was over but as they left viola looked embarrassed which lynn noticed
Once they where outside viola walked over very embarrassed right now with lynn walking out as the others talked
"I got plant science i think next"isa mentioned
"Well i got that too so that will be fun"lance replied
"I got smithing…guess its me and cousin next"nyx added
"That will be fun i guess….mom will embarrassed me i think"rosa replied with a blush
As they walked out lynn walked over toward his partner
"Look graves i was just trying to help you out"lynn said making viola growl a little
"Shut up. I had it…right now that was so embarrassing in class….ughhh everyone going to think my dads gonna give me and my siblings special treatment"viola said as he sighed
"Its quite obvious they'll think that. Just don't let it get to you….redirect it toward your leg or something. Maybe they'll find that interesting"lynn said which made viola glare at him before slapping him across the face sending him to the ground.
This startled them as she glared at him"shut up! You don't know all you've been is rude since we've met!"she shouted running away from them right now as he was lefted puzzled right now
Walking over lance and kenji helped him up"Dude what did you say to piss her off right now?"kenji asked
"Nothing if she felt embarrassed about what happened in the pratice match…if people bother her about it then make the focus on her prosthetic leg"lynn replied making her sister wince right now
"Ohhh you picked a bad topic for her on that"nyx said to the two confusion
"Why is that bad?"vicktor asked as rosa messed with her cloak for a moment
"Well ummm uhh cousin had an accidnet a few years ago. While praticing fighting some grimm one got loose and tore her leg off. But well…."rosa paused as nyx scoffed
"Theirs this guy back home named nick. Hes a real ass….kept making fun of her for losing her leg like an idiot. It went on for a full year before she got her prosthetic she almost didn't become a huntresses bcause of that"nyx explained to lynn surprise as he sighed feeling terrible right now
"I didn't know…anyway i could find a way to make it up to her?"lynn asked as they shared some looks
"I suggest go asking delilah on this. I helped her through it but she and her got more intwined. She helped one of our siblings before who lost an arm. She can help you good luck"nyx said as they all split up for their classes now.
Back with the others they soon got to their weapon smithing class with rosa and nyx with kris and eros, along with fay, simone and vicktor with viola not being here from early events.
The teacher right now was ruby who seemed nervous but had a confident look in her eyes right now
"Helli everyone i'm ruby rose walker. I'll be your smithing teacher this year. But you'll hear me call someone their daughter since shes umm my uh daughter"ruby said pointing at rosa who blushed as a couple found that funny laughing a little.
Which ruby noticed before getting a serious look"but that doesn;t mean she gets special treatment. That may seem rude but you can't always have short cuts in life. Today i wanna teach you what to do if your weapons break in the middle of comabt."ruby started
Before gesturing to the forges and repairs station with the bun full of weapons near"i want you all to take a look at these. These are the weapons of a huntsman and huntresses. You need to know how to repair your weapon and how to use other weapons on the fly."she started
"This will be fun"fay commented
"Your first assignment is to pick a weapon from the pile. Finish repairing it to working condition by the end of the week. Their are several tools you can use at your disposal. But be warned a few of them need missing parts you may need to find or salvage from spare weapons which this bin will be for"ruby said gesturing to a bin of very damaged weapons but some had working parts
Everyone began to chatter a little"okay quiet please….queit! Now the next step is removing any jewlert and other accesoires you have. I don't want anyone to get hurt"ruby warned
As all of them began to quickly take off all their jelwery right now. Once they did they set them to the side as they all regrouped with ruby gesutring to a box close by
"Okay draw a card from her to fix up a weapon for the week remeber by the end you need to have it done"ruby explained. They all went up as all drew heir cards with simone drawing a cleaver, rosa drew a grenade rifle to her luck, while vicktor drew a sword from the looks of it.
Then their was kris who got a rapier while eros got a submachine gun to his annoyance finding this to be childs play right now. Then nyx got a lucky draw
"Oh nice a revolver i got lucky"nyx thought as her sister fay drew a axe that was double sided a sshe laughed
"Ha! I got an axe easy"fay said but eros followed what the axe was
"Rethink that fay you have that monster"eros said pointing at something making the poor red headed girls eyes bulge out of her head. As it was an axe that was close to seven feet tall as she groaned loudly on that.
"Okay the materials before you will be provided to you such as ores and tools. Along with that i will teach you how to properly use the equipment here. But if you wanna use the forge here you need me or someone with you at all times. Never forge by yourself"she explained
"Your weapons will be due within two days get them done and you'll be golden. Don't be afraid to ask me for help"ruby added as the bell rang
"Ohhh theirs the bell ummm have a great first day!"she cheered as the students filed out with rosa waving her mother goodbye who qucikyl returned it
Everyone left the class with fay groaning and whining loudly on what she got
"I got that! I can't lift that…be a sister and help me out?"she asked her two sister who stared at her
"No but how did your guys class go?"simone asked
"Well viola kinda flipped out on lynn"vicktor blurted out to the two other sister shock
"What happened their?"kris asked concnenred
"Nothing just that he tired to help her. But didn't know about her leg is all, i think things will go fine he seemed to regret what happened"rosa explained
"Thats good i rather not have everyone fight here day one. "Eros replied as they continued onto their next class hoping this doesn't blow up in their face.
It seems that their are some issues between the new teams on the campus. Though it seems some of the preivous student are now teachers of the all mighty beacon academy. Till next time!
