Kagome walked along the sidewalk of Brooklyn New York.

"You lost pretty lady?"

Kagome turned to see a man, who looked to be a bully. "Uh, no thanks." She tried to maneuver around him, but he blocks her path.

"Come on, let me walk you home." He eyed her up and down.

"No thank you." Kagome tied to walk around him, but he continues to block her path. "Please leave me alone." She tried again to move around him, but he grabs her arm. "Let go!" Her brown eyes look around as she struggles to free herself as she continues to look around for help, but no one was around.

"Hey!" Both stop startled, and turn to see a blonde small skinny and frail young man walking up to them. "The lady said to leave her alone."

"Who's gonna stop me, shorty?" The man kicks the blonde in the chest, easily knocking him to the ground.

The small man pushes himself up to face the bigger guy. "I'm gonna stop you." He moves to hit the man's hand, when the man grunted Kagome took her chance while he was distracted and kicked him hard in the leg, forcing him to let her go. But she didn't expect the guy to shove her hard into the street.

"That's no way to treat a lady!" Steve Rogers tried to kick the man, but the bigger guy easily caught him.

"Don't start what you can't finish." The man shoves Steve the ground, and he landed beside Kagome, Steve looks at her.

"Are you ok?" He asks in concern.

"I'm not sure you. You don't have to fight for me."

Steve pushes himself up. "I'm not giving up." He shakily got back to his feet. "I can do this all day." He added as he turned back around to face the bigger man. "Somebody treats a lady like you do, then you have no respect for anything."

Kagome studies the blonde, she could feel a warm and strong aura around him. "Please don't do anything drastic." She begs, he turns to her and she smiles at him. "I'm ok, really."

"It's still not right."

The bigger man suddenly grabs him roughly by the neck. "So you want more, huh?" He turns and starts for the ally.

Kagome pushes herself up, ignoring the scrap on her knees as she looks around, there still wasn't anyone around. She quickly follows, she enters the ally just as the bigger guy throws the blonde into some trashcans.

Backing away from the ally, Kagome's eyes glittered with tears as she frantically looks around. "I'll have to find someone then." She decides, she turns and quickly runs off.

Looking over her shoulder when she rounds the corner, Kagome slams into a strong chest knocking her backwards, but an arm wraps around her waist and is swiftly pulled to the chest.

"Whoa, you ok doll?" A warm aura surrounds her and she looks up to see a brunette man, his eyes warm.

Kagome blinks rapidly, startled. "Oh!" She gently pushes on his chest as she backs up and he lets go. "I'm sorry!" She looks over shoulder again.

Bucky Barns frowns down at her. "Ma'am are you ok?"

She turns back around. "You have to help, please." Not giving him chance to respond, she runs back to the ally.

Hurrying back to the ally, Kagome returns as the bigger man kicks Steve into some trashcans. Kagome jumps onto the man's back, her arms locking around his neck tightly.

"Leave hi."- She didn't get to finish as the man grabs her arm and throws her over his shoulder, she lands on top of Steve, the trashcan lid he was using between them.

"Hey!" Bucky grabs the man by the shoulder. "Pick on someone your own size!" He shoves the man away from the two on the ground, the guy tried to swing a punch but Bucky punches back, then kicks him in the butt. "Get the hell out of here!"

Kagome rolled off of Steve, both coughing.

Bucky approaches the two, he kneels down by Kagome. "You ok doll?" He asks gently as he helps her stand.

"Yeah." She smiles. "Thank you."

He returns the smile. "Of course." His smile disappears as he move to the smaller man. "Steve."

Steve wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "I had him on the ropes."

Bucky raised an eyebrow. "Sure you did." He helps him up.

Kagome looks from one to the other. "Wait, you two know each other?"

"Been best friends since childhood." Steve smiled at Bucky, then to her. "You could've gotten hurt, you know."

"I know." She nods, she looks at Bucky, then back to Steve. "Thank you for your help." She starts to move. "You can call us even now."

As she left, Kagome heard the two talking, more like having a small argument about the military. She couldn't put her finger on it, but the two held strong auras. And maybe, once she gets her thoughts together she could figure out what's she gonna do.
