make friendship bracelets

Hermione loved to spend time with her mummy. Her mummy was the smartest person in the whole world, and even her daddy said so. And it was amazing to spend some time in the Muggle world with just her mummy.

"Look, Mio, they have the beads I used when I was a little girl just like you!" her mummy said, looking at the window of a shop. "Your Auntie Tuney and I used to make a lot of bracelets for friends and each other."

"Friendship bracelets, Mummy?" Hermione asked, looking at the beads. "Can we make some?"

"I believe we can," Mummy said, smiling at her. Her green eyes were so pretty—and so was her red hair. Hermione always loved to learn new things, and if Mummy was going to teach her, it would be ten times better! "Are there any colours of beads you want, sweetie?"

Hermione looked at the window and decided that she wanted all the colours of the rainbow and any colour that sparked her fancy. She just needed to show it to her mummy.

.:.

"What did you get?" Harry asked as soon as they got home.

While Hermione was out with their mummy, Harry had spent some time with their daddy. Her mummy had told her that they always did this so that neither twin felt left out, and Hermione always listened to what her mummy said.

"I bought beads, so I can make friendship bracelets." Hermione showed her twin the bags she had brought with her. "You want to watch?"

"Sure," Harry replied, seeming intrigued by what Hermione was saying. "What are friendship bracelets?"

"Is a bracelet you make for a friend," Hermione said, walking towards their living room. "Mummy said you make one and give to your friends, and this means you're friends forever."

"Coolio!" Harry exclaimed, watching Hermione putting all the beads on the rug and sitting in front of them. "Can I help you?"

"Yes, you can help." Hermione smiled at her twin, glad to know he would be her friend forever no matter what.

They were working quietly until Harry interrupted Hermione in the middle of making a bracelet for Theo.

"Why do you keep adding pink beads?" Harry asked with a face, as if he had smelt hippogriff's crap.

"Because I want to! And they're pretty!" Hermione huffed, before continuing to put more pink beads in the bracelet.

"They aren't boy colour!" Harry tried to make Hermione see sense. Theo wouldn't like a pink bracelet, would he? Harry didn't like it either and wanted Hermione to understand.

"I don't care! I like pink beads!" Hermione yelled, tired of arguing. "And I'll make everyone a pink bracelet! Even one for you!"

"I don't want one!" Harry yelled back.

"You'll love it! Because I maded it!" Hermione huffed, making one more bracelet in pink for her brother.

.:.

"What are my darlings doing?" Lily entered the room, and Hermione smiled at her mum. "Look how many beads you have!"

"Besides a mess, you mean?" Sirius said suddenly, and Hermione ran towards her dad. "Having fun with your brother, princess?"

"I always have fun with Harry, Daddy," Hermione said, matter of fact. "Look at our friendship bracelets!"

"We did a lot, Mummy!" Harry said from Lily's lap. "Mio let me help her."

"It's good to know your sister let you help her," Lily said before kissing his cheek. "Who did you all make bracelets for?"

Hermione motioned to Sirius to put her down, and walking towards the rug, she grabbed all her bracelets and showed her mum.

"I made one for Harry, one for Daddy, one for you, Mummy, one for Grandpa Orion, one for Grandma Wally, one for Grandpa Arct, one for Grandma Mellie, one for Draco, one for Uncle Lucy, one for Auntie Cissa, one for Auntie Bella, one for Auntie Andie, one for Uncle Ted, one for Dora, one for Theo and one for Theo's new sister, Luna." Hermione showed her mother all the bracelets she had done (most of which were in various shades of pink), missing the look of shock on her parents' faces.

"Wow, Mio, looks like you were busy." Sirius knelt by her side, grabbing one of the loose bracelets. "And you, Harry, who did you make bracelets for?"

"For Mio, Mummy and you," Harry replied smiling, and both Lily and Sirius started laughing.

"Good for you, kiddo," Sirius said, kissing Harry's head.

"Can we go give them to our friends, Daddy?" Hermione asked, grabbing all the bracelets in her tiny hands and trying to stop them from falling.

"Let's go to your grandparents' house for dinner and we'll see how to get the bracelets to everyone else." Lily stood up and kissed both her children. "Come on, munchkins."

Laughing, Hermione and Harry started running towards their rooms. Hermione couldn't wait until her friends received their bracelets.
