Chapter 28: Moxy Times
Within the Seaside Ravine region is a Corpo yacht filled with Arasaka executives and guests looking at the coastline. They enjoy themselves despite the pirate gang Red Tide, known to capture Corpos and ransom them for high prices.
A girl in a bikini is looking at the coastline to see a bunch of red-colored men raising their rifles in the air. The woman was beyond drunk, flashing her tits at the men to laugh with glee. Then suddenly the bikini lady gets her head blown off by a charged shot. The yacht is being attacked by RPG shots and being boarded by the Red Tide pirates.
"Well, well, well. Looking all nice and fancy," Hawk said with his little sister by his side to raid the boat to capture all the crew who had survived the attack. They point their guns to drag out the corpos and their guests onto boats to head back to the beach.
"I will keep watch," Maria said holding her M31A5 combo gun with her little white dress stained with red from all the blood of her brother's enemies. Her brother nods his head for his pirate goons to drag some people in front of him.
"You fat Corpo fucks. Think you can come to the place and get away from me. You are all sacks of money," Hawk said as the people were frightened by this pirate approaching them having a unique mohawk hairstyle and a tall muscular build while wearing all red.
Hawk looks upon a pretty blond in a pink bikini with her knees on the sand looking beyond frightened by this.
"Don't hurt her," one of the two men said in a meek tone.
Hawk ignores them and approaches the young woman to bend down to meet her at eye level. "Hello there, what is your name?" Hawk asked being calm and serious which made him even more eerie.
"Sophie," the woman said.
"Okay Sophie, get up for me. I am not going to hurt you," Hawk helps the young lady up. "Okay, I am going to play a game with you. I want to know between these two men, who deserves to live more," Hawk said as the two Corpo men were scared by this as well as the young lady.
"No, no, no," Sophie is fearful about killing someone as Hawk pulls out a Unity pistol from his chest holster.
"Okay, make the choice. Him or him," Hawk is pointing at the two businessmen weeping like weak puppies. "Remember, they don't know your name. Your real fucking name. Now drum roll please," Hawk jokes for the two Corpos were betting for their lives.
"Please don't kill me, Sophie," the first guy said.
"Don't kill me, I have kids," the second guy said as the first guy was not pleased with this.
"What the hell, you fucking liar," the two were pushing and shoving with Hawk looking amused by this.
"Corpos always trying to fuck with each other even in the bitter end," Hawk thought laughing at this with a big dumb grin on his face. He is right behind Sophie helping her hold the pistol to aim at either man.
Then a loud crack echoed on the beach making the others wince from the big bang. The first businessman died via gunshot to the head. Sophie is beyond frightened by this as the second guy looks at her with deep anger.
"You fucking whore," the second guy cursed at her but out of reflex Sophie fired the gun again to kill the second guy. Sophie is shaking with fear after murdering two people.
"Wow, I give you one and you take two, how greedy of you," Hawk is quite happy with this and Sophie falls onto her knees a crying mess.
"I didn't mean to," Sophie said.
"Tough shits lady but you will be put to good use," Hawk said as his goons come to put her in handcuffs to be put in a truck.
"Who are you?" one of the cameramen asked as he felt a boot to the face.
"I am Hawk the glorious leader of the Red Tide and you are all my wonderful guests. Take them away along with the cargo. Give them all the red rocking welcome," Hawk said as the cameraman was trying to make a run for it. Hawk draws his Unity pistol and shoots him in the knee to knock him onto the sand. "I was being nice but you have to be such a killjoy," he said as he stomped on his head to knock him out.
"How troublesome," Maria said as she pointed her gun at the cargo the people loaded into trucks.
"Indeed, but we got a good amount of cash on our hands. Getting the ransoms will be a huge payoff, let's get moving back to base," Hawk said as they drove away, leaving the broken yacht in ruins.
Within the hour, Yorinobu's agent arrives at the coast to see the broken yacht in the distance sinking into the ocean. "Damn it, too late," the young man said in contact with his master. "Seems like the pirate has taken some of our personal," the man said.
"I need you to seek them out and rescue them. They are important supporters of our cause," Yorinobu said as the young man nodded his head.
"Understood. I heard the nomads who are in league with your niece are coming this way," the man said thinking about a certain woman.
"Oh, I know. Our satellites have picked up their signal. The woman is with them," Yorinobu said as he sensed the young man was thinking about her. "Focus on your mission, getting her now wouldn't be a good idea. There are too many things within the area that could get worse. Best to take her when the moment is best but you must focus on working with me. I will get your woman when you complete your task," Yorinobu said.
"Of course, I will keep my distance. She is safe for now," the man said to go off to head for the location where the prisoners are located.
Yorinobu looks this over to remember how it led up to this moment. "Oh, my boy, you were at your lowest point and now you are with me. Aiding in the destruction of Arasaka from within. I remember that day when you made Father's company look like a clown show. You died that day David but you were reborn as my weapon against the company," Yorinobu said to remember the day when David went on a rampage to save Lucy.
-Flashback Begins-
Within the year 2076, David is going on a rampage within the prototype cyber skeleton with Yorinobu knowing about the situation happening in the badlands around Night City. He detects one of his soldiers was on a cliff far away to overlook the fighting.
"What a mess," the soldier said as he was wielding a Nekomata to have his sights on David. "This will pierce his head no problem from this distance," he said as he was over 1000 meters away and David did not see it coming.
He is about to charge up the sniper rifle and end the threat to the company. "Hold your fire," Yorinobu said within his holo.
"Yorinobu-Sama, do you need something?" the sniper asked.
"I need you to let the young man go," Yorinobu asked.
"May I ask why sir?" the soldier asked as he was trying to stop the threat.
"He is causing a big distraction for me. His little rage fest will put the company in a bad spot and make them look bad in the eyes of the public and the board," Yorinobu said.
"Oh, I get it, you are trying to make your father look bad," the soldier said.
"Very careful eyes. Let the boy rampage and I will move the pieces in place to weaken my father's support in the board of directors and the other investors," Yorinobu said.
"Of course, I will call off my attack and let the young gonk throw a fit," the sniper disengages to disappear into the shadows.
Yorinobu is watching the situation in Night City get pretty maddening with David and his small team of Edgerunners fighting their way in the streets of the city to go towards Arasaka Tower.
"Seems like Co-Intel wants to fix the problem, Adam," Yorinobu said as Adam groaned at this.
"They can't fix their damn problems. Dealing with some punk kid, a nomad rat, and a midget. How thrilling," Adam said dryly as he knew this was going to be very boring.
"Put a floor stage for them, put them at a false sense of ease," Yorinobu said as Adam nodded his head.
"Understood Yorinobu Sama, I need the workout anyway," Adam Smasher said cutting off the radio to head for Arasaka Tower to take care of a little problem.
Within the hour, Adam Smasher is at the scene dealing with the invaders as Yorinobu is watching through his eyes. Rebecca was split in half by Adam's heavy drop being barely alive. Lucy and Falco can't do anything against him while David distracts him and the two escape from the scene.
Adam is getting tired of playing around and ends the fight instantly. Ripping the cyber skeleton off his body leaving him with a torso and a head. David throws Adam's mocking offer in his face as Adam fires at his head destroying it. "Beyond annoying," Adam Smasher not happy he was bored with this.
"Excellent, you put on one hell of a performance," Yorinobu said in a mocking tone.
"Sure sir, I haven't had a good fight since Morgan Blackhand in 2023," Adam said.
"Who knows, you might meet someone who can surpass you in the future," Yorinobu said as Adam dismissed this.
"Only Morgan can match me and he didn't finish the job," Adam felt deeply cocky.
"There was a wise old man who said it best. There will always be someone stronger, you can't get lazy," Yorinobu said as Adam knows he stole this line from Master Roshi from Dragon Ball.
"You read too much Dragon Ball," Adam Smasher said being a big fan of the series.
"Whatever you say, that kid reminds me of myself when I was younger. Trying to fight back against my father's evil legacy," Yorinobu said.
"Really, how so?" Adam asked.
"I was foolishly naive just like him to think I could stop Arasaka from the outside. I have matured and now I focus on destroying it from within. Collect his body for me," Yorinobu ordered.
"What about the other two?" Adam asked.
"They are not important; they have played their part. I need you to dump the boy's corpse into a truck. I will need his DNA for research purposes," Yorinobu said.
"Of course," Adam did not ask any more questions to pick up David's dead body and dump it into a truck to be delivered to an Arasaka research center owned by Yorinobu.
"David Martinez, you have fulfilled your role with flying colors. You have made the company look bad and helped me one step further for taking it down," Yorinobu said as he planned his next move.

Yorinobu looks on to overlook the clone of David aka SA-45 to undertake an operation to restore Hawk faction loyalists who went missing within this region. "He will be my tool until I am done with him," Yorinobu willing to toss away the David clone to fulfill his ends to destroy Arasaka.
The nomads keep driving across the wasteland to get close to the Seaside Ravine region. Rebecca is looking into the mirror to see her Mox tattoo around her neck and shoulders. "Gee, I wonder what Regina is doing now?" Rebecca wondered.
"What are you doing?' Cortez asked to see her in her underwear looking at her Mox tattoo.
"I was thinking about my time with the Mox. That was a turning point in my life when my life hit rock bottom seeing my body to dirty men for quick cash. Even then, I had a hard time making money due to the Mox's taking cuts out of my profits," Rebecca said.
"Also, underage sex services are pretty fucked up," Cortez not having a good feeling about the Mox.
"Everyone is looking out for their interests within Night City. The Mox is no different, they saw a teenage girl and said she could be useful for certain clients," Rebecca said feeling disgusted just thinking about it in hindsight.
"Care to explain?" he asked.
"Sure, I can talk to you about my time in the Mox," Rebecca said to explain how she first joined them.
-Flashback Begins-
It's been a few weeks since she was chased out of school due to her black mark. No job is willing to take her as Rebecca is beyond pissed off with this. "Damn it, no one is willing to take me," Rebecca said at the end of her rope.
"You little one, how are you doing?" Pillar asked him to peek his head out the window.
"What the hell do you think? That bastard has made getting a job impossible. I don't have any options," Rebecca shoves her face into a pillow wanting to cry but all the tears come out already.
"Well, I have something you might be interested in," Pillar said to sit beside her on the bed.
"Really, you are the best big bro," Rebecca said wanting to hug him.
"it involves you working with the Mox," Pillar said as Rebecca got very angry and punched him on the arm.
"You got to be fucking kidding me. A strip club, I would work there," she said.
"Well yeah but like you have a choice. You will be taken good care of with the girls and boys there. They protect their workers. You might have to do some sexual stuff but Night City is brutal. We need to do what we can to pay the rent. Also, the rent is going up again, you need to help me pay it off," Pillar said as Rebecca sighed.
"Fine, my life sucks anyway. Might as well," Rebecca said as Pillar patted her on the back.
"That's the spirit, I will take you there," Pillar said.
"Of course, you are a regular there," Rebecca pouts as they go into Pillar's car to head over.
The radio is buzzing as news reports about the Unification War are spicing up again. "The war again," Pillar groaned as the reports spoke about tank battles and Power Armor duals with the Free States and NUS fighting it out for the soul of America.
"Hopefully the war doesn't come here," Rebecca said.
"I think that will happen sooner than later at the rate the Free States are getting their asses kicked," Pillar said as Night City is part of the Free States.
They arrived at Lizzie's Bar with the bright neon signs on the front. "Yo Pillar, coming in to check out our BDs?" Rita asked as the pink-haired bouncer showed up.
"Nah, Rita. Rebecca, this is Rita, she is one of the Solos of The Mox. She acts as their bouncer and Heavy," Pillar said as Rebecca looked upon Rita thinking she looked so cool.
"Damn, you look very cool," Rebecca said as Rita laughed at this.
"Thanks, kid, so why are you being your little sister here?" Rita asked.
"Well, this is the situation," Pillar explains Rebecca got booted out of school and blacklisted due to a pervy teacher with too much power.
"Fuck me, that sucks little choom. You want us to join us?" she asked.
"Yep, the bills need to be paid. I am swamped at work, little sis needs to help with the money," Pillar said.
"Yeah, we will take her in. Come on little choom," Rita said as Rebecca was confused by this.
"You know I am a teenager, right?" she asked.
"You know, there are a lot of girls like you who go into this sex business to pay for their futures. Life is harsh and you do what you can to make it. Don't worry, we will keep you safe while you perform your duties," Rita said as she guided Rebecca out of the car.
"See you later Sister, don't have too much fun," Pillar said in a joking manner to drive off.
"Jackass," Rebecca said.
"Oh siblings, come on. You will meet with Suzie Q and get inducted," Rita said as Rebecca felt nervous about this.
They go inside to see it's loud and bright with music buzzing in the background. Clients sitting in their booth with BDs on their faces enjoying all sorts of sexual things to their hearts' desires.
They go in the back to go on a short interview with the boss of the Mox Suzie Q who is a tall black man with a big afro. Rebecca thought she looked scary but was reasonable.
"Okay little one, you want to join the Mox huh?" Suzie asked.
"Yes, I do," Rebecca said.
"Seems like you are not a techie or have no combat skulls. You will be one of the working girls. We have plenty of clients who like the younger flesh," Suzie said.
"I understood," Rebecca said as she will be a prostitute from now onward. "This will come down to this. My dreams are in the trash and now I am here. Becoming a teenage porn star, yeah me," Rebecca said dryly.
"Also, Rita will be shadowing you. She used to be like you. Young girl with nowhere else to go but she grew up becoming one of our best solos. Guarding our interests," Suzie said.
"Yeah Rebecca, we are going to be master and student," Rita said as Rebecca felt a bit at ease knowing this cool lady would be watching over her.
"The Luke to your Obi-Wan," Rebecca said as Rita nodded her head.
"Yep, come on. We need to change your look," Rita said.
"My look?" she questioned.
"Yep, you need to fit the part. Basic white bitch wouldn't cut it," Rita joked.
"Okay," Rebecca said as they went to a local ripper doc who is friendly with the Mox to change Rebecca's look.
Within an hour, Rita is sitting in the lounge to see Rebecca is finished. Rebecca has her skin now pale white, her cyber eyes are green with red, three bright pink tattoos on her body and her hair is now bright green. "Well, how do I look?" she asked.
"You look like a clown," Rita joked as this pissed off Rebecca.
"I worked hard to come up with something good," Rebecca shouted as Rita laughed at her.
"I am kidding little Choomba, you look pretty," Rita said as Rebecca felt her face flushing.
"Thanks, I have the Mox tattoo right here," Rebecca points to the skull girl on her neck.
"Rocking our image proud huh?" Rita asked.
"Yep, I got two more tattoos too," Rebecca said.
"What do they mean?" Rita asked.
"The PK Dick tattoo on my thigh is about my favorite sci-fi author," Rebecca said.
"Didn't think of you as a reader," Rita said.
"The skull on her stomach just looks cool," Rebecca said.
"Cool indeed, come on. Let's go to your place of work and get you started," Rita said as Rebecca was going into the next phase of her life.

Cortez hears about this. "You and Rita seem close," he said as Rebecca looked on with sadness.
"Yeah, that didn't last at the end of it," Rebecca said.
"She was like your big sister," Cortez said.
"Yeah, but the Mox came first but you will learn when I poke more into the past," Rebecca said as she went to cook something with them still getting closer to their location on the Seaside Ravine.
