The four kingdoms, shining beacons of hope that stand as pillars for the world of Remnant as safe havens from the creatures of Grimm. Many do not dare travel beyond the safety of the cities for fear of being attacked by the Grimm. The poor fools that try to make life outside the kingdoms usually come to regret their decisions when they are overrun by Grimm. It's a dark reminder that only the strong survive in this world, and it is the duty of the strong to defend the weak then teach the weak so they can become strong.

In the darkness of the woods outside the kingdom walls, the moonlight was the only thing illuminating the dark dead forests that are infested with the monsters that plague this world. All except one little area of these woods does a huntress and her pupil stay, for the Grimm of this world know better than to trifle with The Witch of the Crossroads. From inside that dark forest, the shattered moon was the only light for the Huntress and her pupil, sparks flew from the two as their weapons clashed. The Witch and her pupil clashed together in front of the moon as The Witch was able to parry the attack sent her way and send her student back down to the floor with an attack of her own. Her pupil crashed down to the floor but recovered swiftly as her burning feet set the grass she landed on into flames, The Witch landed shortly after with her two torches lighting the forest they inhabited as her pupil brought up her sickle and dagger to keep herself on her guard. The flames left from her burning legs illuminated her just enough where her prosthetic mechanical arm was visible. The Huntress' torches died down as the arena was once again inhabited by pure darkness, moments later the two had their weapons collide once more with The Huntress' pupil successfully guarding against The Witch that caused her to back up as the torches created a multitude of fireballs that fired towards her pupil. The student sprinted at her teacher either avoiding the fireballs with a multitude of flips, or slashing them away with her blades. Getting close enough the student jumped towards The Witch attempting to kick her with her flaming feet which was blocked, only for the student to quickly adapt and kicked one of the torches away from The Witch's hands as she backed up allowing the student to believe they had the advantage with her teacher partially disarmed. The Huntress backed up and spun around creating a glowing circle from underneath her as she quickly dodged an attack from her student making her land right in the glowing circle and making her fall right into her trap. The student looked down as the glowing circle grew bright illuminating her face and showing her shocked expression as a explosion came from the circle causing the student to get shot up into the sky to be sent crashing down as her green aura began to flicker showing she was spent and unable to go on as she struggled to get back up. She slammed her mechanical arm into the ground from frustration and looked up to see the glowing blue flames of The Witch's torches prepared to strike the student as she braced herself from the incoming attack, but she was pleasantly surprised when The Witch held out her hand offering to help her student up who accepted her help as she got back on her flaming feet. The Witch snapped her fingers as the arena the two fought in was illuminated by blue candle lights as the two were now completely visible to each other.

"Good effort Melinoe." The Witch complimented her pupil.

"Not good enough Hecate..." Melinoe said pushing her green hair out of her face as she opened her eyes and due to her heterochromia one eye was left a normal white with a green pupil as the other was a pitch black with a red pupil.

"We can but learn, and the greatest teacher is out there. You have proven your worth to me Melinoe and for your efforts you are permitted to attend Beacon Academy." The two blades Melinoe used came flying into Hecate's free hand and she handed them over to Melinoe.

"You're letting me go? But I didn't win as was the agreement...?"

"Was merely a test Melinoe, I wanted to see you at your best."

"I... can't believe I'm actually going... I'll miss you Hecate..."

"This is not the end of your training Melinoe, we shall meet again soon enough." A gate behind Hecate opened as The Witch stepped away from Melinoe's path. "Now go, death to The Grimm."

"Death to The Grimm." Melinoe repeated, the student walked into the gate as it shut behind her as she was no longer to be in Hecate's care. To think this little girl grew up so fast, she may believe herself to be weak but Melinoe was strong with the potential to be even greater than her and any Huntress that's ever lived. Even better than the late Summer Rose.

The Witch's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her scroll ringing from inside her large witch hat. She lightly raised the hat as her scroll dropped down and she let out an annoyed sigh seeing the caller ID as she answered the call. "Hecate speaking... yes she's passed my test... she's on her way as we speak... of course... no I am not accompanying her... no need to send your little birdie we don't want her to magically succumb to a heart attack she can handle herself, I raised her for brother's sake... are you sure it has to be her?... I see... fine... but should anything happen to her you are going to wish you never could come back, now if you don't mind I have business to attend to." Hecate hung up her scroll and let out a massive sigh while pinching the bridge of her nose. "It'll be fine... she's not your daughter why even worry..."

The night passed on with the day drawing ever closer as Melinoe sprinted through the dark forest with a large back on her back that had a long weapon handle sticking out. She stopped in her tracks as she reached a cliff and marked an end to the dark forest, Melinoe reached Forever Fall and in the distance she could see The City of Vale. "Not much further."

Trailer Retribution

We all get what we deserve. No more, no less.

These are the words that Nemesis Night lived by her entire life, they weren't instilled to her by anyone, nor did she hear it from somewhere stupid like a cartoon or movie. It was something she had in her head from the very beginning, and Nemesis has never once strayed away from her ideals. If you harm others then expect harm to be brought back to you, this way of thinking has got Nemesis into trouble more times than she would like to admit. But she doesn't care, that's why she wants to be a huntress, it's the only legal way to make sure that she can protect those who can't protect themselves from those with power.

Clad in silver armor stood a large imposing woman with muscles that put professional huntsmen to shame, Nemesis certainly was taller than most women her age, hell she never met a man taller than her. Holstered on her back were her weapons, a giant sword that was gigantic, and was half as tall as Nemesis, and by her side was a small shield that would fit right on her arm. It was simply another night in Vale, propaganda would have you believe that Vale is all sunshine and rainbows, Beacon was attended by the best of the best after all so that means the people had nothing to worry about, right? In a perfect world yes, but this is the real world and it's anything but sunshine and rainbows.

It was 10pm and the streets of Remnant were silent, most people were either home or on their way to their night shift jobs. Not much really happens at night, on the surface at least. As the muscular woman stomped through the streets of Vale with her armor clanking with every step she took. Everything was alright, but just as she thought that Nemesis heard the sound of a woman yelping. Turning the corner she saw three men in black and red having a sheep faunus cornered with their weapons drawn, from what she could hear the woman owed money to the Xiong family. Nemesis didn't even think before walking up to the three henchmen, one turned his head and nudged his fellow henchmen as one of them spoke. "This doesn't involve you, just keep walking lady."

"It does now, run your scrawny asses back to your boss or your boss will be asking why your suits turned all red." Nemesis grabbed her sword and her small shield was attached to her empty arm. 5 seconds passed and two of them shot at the armored woman as she ran right through the bullets as if it was nothing, seeing as their bullets did nothing more than anger the muscular woman the last henchmen with a katana out attempted to slash at Nemesis' throat. But in the nick of time Nemesis parried his attack with her shield causing the henchmen to be left wide open for the incoming attack from Nemesis as she swung her sword with a blow strong enough to send the henchmen flying two streets down and surprising the two other henchmen.

This was her semblance, Revenge. Nemesis winced, gritting her teeth as the pain her semblance absorbed came back to hurt her but not nearly enough to put her down. Her golden eyes stared at the remaining two with anger as they hesitated to pull out their weapons against Nemesis but as she walked towards them with her blade sparking against the floor they gained the sense to pull out their katanas. The predictably attacked Nemesis in a way she easily blocked with her blade, she swung her blade catching the two henchmen and sending them into a nearby wall with the back of her blade so as to not kill them but to merely hurt them, a lot.

The three men were down with very little effort and Nemesis looked towards the sheep faunus who shuddered when meeting the gaze of the armored woman who saved her. Even though they were thankful for the rescue, the sheep was very intimidated by the large woman and she struggled to get out any words before Nemesis walked up to her and asked the faunus "You alright? Did they do anything to you?"

The sheep faunus shook her head no which relieved Nemesis "Alright good, do me a favor and head straight home, it's not safe this time of night."

The faunus listened to Nemesis and ran as fast as she could, Nemesis looked at what remained of the scene and walked off. She had a friend who worked in law enforcement so a quick text and they would come to apprehend the three passed out henchmen. She'd stay but there's something more important that required her attention, she had to go pick up her sister. That doesn't sound too bad right?

Nemesis walked through the streets of Vale making her way to the train station, Nemesis was mentally preparing herself to meet up with her sister. She hasn't seen her since they were pre teens in Atlas when Nemesis' sister convinced her mother to go live with their extended family in Mistral because in her words "Atlas is the fucking worst." which, yeah it kinda was. The two haven't talked since then due to them never getting along in the first place, Nemesis was always a stuck up girl who always listened to mother while her sister was a chaotic brat who loved nothing more than to cause trouble and conflict. Honestly there were very little good memories between them and Nemesis was not all that thrilled about meeting her, but who knows maybe she finally matured and grew out of her troublemaker pha-

A loud explosion was heard on the path towards the train station and Nemesis could faintly hear the maniacal laughter of a vaguely familiar voice. Please don't let that be who she thinks it is… Running towards where the explosions came from, Nemesis was quickly greeted to a scene with bullet holes all over the place and smoking craters that she could only assume were caused by the explosions. What was more shocking were the bodies scattered around that are out cold, checking on one Nemesis could examine it was one around her age and thankfully no major injuries. But soon she heard the sound of someone landing on the floor and taking a look at who it was. There was no mistaking who it could possibly be, the girl had a very colorful outfit on and in her hands was a custom made gun which resembled a beast, most notably was her mechanical black wings that were attached to her back.

The girl turned around to see Nemesis and judging by her expression, she didn't recognize who she was talking to. "What cha' looking at meathead?"

"Fucking of course… Eris it's me, Nemesis." The larger sibling said clearly annoyed at the trouble Eris has caused.

Eris gasped as her face lit up with joy as her wings brought her close to Nemesis "Oh my gosh Nemmie!? Woah you got huge! Bring it in sister!" Eris attempted to embrace her big sister before being stopped by Nemesis' hand.

"Eris, you wanna explain why you bombed a whole city block and why there's bodies everywhere?!"

"Oh yeah that." Eris replied blankly looking at the mess she made. "Trust me, I got a really good reason."

"Alright, explain."

Trailer Strife

The last train out of Mistral, Eris Night lounges around taking up three seats with the giant mechanical black wings on her back. There weren't that many people on her train car surprisingly so all she was playing music from her Scroll very loudly and eating candy bars while throwing the wrappers on the floor with very little consideration for who has to clean that later. Honestly she was bored out of her mind, she's been on this train for a couple of hours and nothing has happened, she's just zoning out waiting for her stop at Vale. She's supposed to meet her big sister Nemesis who she hasn't seen in awhile and both of them are headed to Beacon. But here's the thing, Eris never really had the credentials for Beacon, she's never even been to a combat school. With the help of some less than stellar friends she got some forged transcripts that allowed her to take the entrance exams and surprisingly passed, she couldn't even believe it herself, but hey she's not complaining.

There's not even a noble goal or journey of self improvement she wants to go on, going to the best huntsman academy in the world spelt all sorts of fun, killing monsters sounds fun and all but she gets to mess with the best of the best. Eris lives for the thrill and the thrill of seeing how far she can go before getting expelled or somehow graduating (though she isn't betting on it) was too good to pass down.

She's brought back to the real world when Eris hears over the intercom the last stop is coming up so she grabbed a suitcase that was over her head and stood by the doors waiting for the train to stop where she exited the train. But something felt off, she could feel it in her bones. She was being followed and Eris quickly turned around to see a group of people with various tattoos all over there bodies and equipped with weapons.

So she may or may not have conned a gang back in Mistral to give her wing implants knowing full well she wasn't gonna pay them back. Looks like they came a long way to collect. "Heyyyy boys! You didn't have to come all the way here to send me off to Beacon!"

The largest man of the group spoke up saying "You're not getting away that easy Eris, Malachite wants her money and going to Vale ain't gonna help. Now pay up or you're getting sent back to mom in pieces."

Eris did not take his threat seriously and chuckled "Alright alright! No need to be so hostile, merely slipped my mind y'know, a girl's been busy." She started to unzip her suitcase "Besides, I got your payment right HERE!"

Eris pulled out from Her suitcase a large gun that was modeled after a beast which Eris dubbed 'The Adamant Rail' the Winged woman shot an explosive at the gang members as her wings quickly moved her backwards towards the exit of the train station thanks to the use of gravity dust. But Eris knew that The Spiders won't leave her that easily so She had a surprise for them.

The gang members came out of the train station with less numbers than before, they spotted Eris and ran up to the winged girl as she pulled her eyelid down and stuck out her tongue as the gravity dust in her wings activated allowing her to take flight. Some of the gang members took out their guns to attempt to shoot down Eris but looking up they only had mere moments to pray as explosives rained down on them causing them to scatter and get sent all over the place due to the boom. As she descended Eris couldn't help but laugh like a maniac at how easily they fell into her trap.

"And that's how I got here." Eris said explaining to her big sister the story while leaving out some parts about stealing a weapon and the forged transcripts. Nemesis had a look she couldn't quite pinpoint, she was mad yet displayed it with a deadpan stare.

"Look, we're gonna have a long talk about this later. Let's just get out of here before the cops find you because mother will kill me if she finds out you caused all this."

"Whatever Nemmie, race ya to the hotel!" Eris took to the skies and flew off.

Nemesis wanted to scream at Eris so badly but her mother told her to be easy with Eris so instead of yelling in rage she yelled "The hotel isn't even that way!"

Trailer Hunt

The creatures of Grimm need no introduction, monsters with no sense of morality or feelings whose only purpose is to destroy all life. But life persisted and the people of Remnant persisted, with the discovery of dust and the Huntsmen the people pushed back the Grimm and civilization recovered. But what do animals do when they are brought up with opposition? They adapt, as time goes on the Grimm have evolved, more species have formed and different types of grimm have been discovered such as the alphas or mutated grimm. The kingdoms do their best to push the agenda that the Huntsmen will keep them safe, but what will happen when they no longer can?

Inside the forest in the dead of night wandered a pack of Grimm, the pack looked for any potential life or civilization that they may destroy with their ongoing war against the people of Remnant. But for now there was nothing, the beasts simply travel in herds waiting till they feel the immense negative emotions that they are most commonly attracted to.

But the Grimm were unaware that inside of a tree was a girl that had the herd right in her sights as she pulled back on a mechanical bow waiting for the precise moment to fire her shot. Her breathing was steady, her hands were still and calm, the shot she had to take was very far away but she was confident in her aim. Once her targets were in the perfect spot she released her arrow as it flew through the air and a few seconds later looking through the scope of her bow, it was a perfect shot as it went straight through an Ursa's head.

"Nice one Artemis." Said a girl with deer antlers protruding from her head that made it obvious to the world that she was a deer faunus. Artemis wore various animal skins and a green cloak that along with her green tied hair kept her hidden in the trees. When she heard the roar of Grimm and saw them coming her way she knew things were starting to get interesting, grabbing various arrows from her quiver she reeled back her arm and shot down the fastly approaching Grimm. She was racking up dead Grimm with every shot not missing once, Artemis counted 5 Beowolfs, 3 Boarbatusk, and another Ursa.

The herd was dwindling the closer they got to Artemis as she continued to take shots, but alas a Beowulf managed to reach her and jumped up to the tree that the archer was staying upon. She quickly dropped and her eyes were focused on the fact that a nest of birds was startled causing the mother to fly away to safety as a baby bird was knocked out of its nest. Artemis on pure instinct quickly sprinted to catch the baby bird and the bird landed perfectly in her hands, Artemis' voice was more afraid now as her heart began to beat from that "Are you okay little guy? I'm sorry the big bad Beowolf hurt you."

The baby bird tweeted at Artemis which made her take a sigh of relief, but her attention to the small animal was taken away by the growls of the Beowolf behind her as Artemis quickly moved out of the way of an oncoming slash. She wielded her bow with one arm and pressed a button as the edges of the bow turned into sharp blades to fight the Beowolf up close while keeping the baby bird safe in her left hand. Artemis grew a scowl on her face from the audacity of this monster to harm an innocent little animal, and for that it must pay with its life. The Beowolf lunged at Artemis attempting to bite her but she swiftly stepped to the side as she stabbed her bow into the Beowolf's head as it cried in pain to then be shut up by a knee to the head. The beowolf was knocked to the floor and Artemis stabbed her bow right into the Beowolf's eye and killed it right then and there.

That was a little more dangerous than she would have liked and she could have taken the Grimm out quicker than that, but no use in dwelling on what she could have done rather than what she will do next time she encounters the creatures of Grimm. She heard the happy little chirps of the bird in her hand and with a little bit of climbing she placed the baby bird back in its nest "You're safe now little fella, grow strong and majestic little guy."

She dropped down to the floor and stretched after sitting in that tree for a fair bit, she'd say it's time to continue her adventure forward. She still has a couple more hours of walking before she'd reach the city of Vale and then reach Beacon academy. She's been excited and dreadful of this day, for one she gets to finally take her first step on the road to being a huntress, but on the other hand she's gonna have to interact with people. Maybe she could just stay hidden for the next four years of her life and no one will know she's there. Oh who is she kidding her giant antlers are practically noticeable a mile away. She's just gotta take it one step at a time, she isn't the prey they are. She isn't the prey they are. She isn't the prey. They are.
