Miraculous: Rise of the Dark Moth
Chapter 6: The Miraculous Resistance / La Resistance des Miraculeuse
Synopsis: Six months had passed after the loss of Paris' greatest hero; Ladybug and the city of Paris had been taken over by Dark Moth and his Akuma Army. However, a small group of Marinette's class had formed a resistance to win back their city in this war. In the hopes of doing so, a new hero joins the group with a Miraculous of his own.
After Ladybug had been defeated, Dark Moth's Akuma Army had quickly taken over all of Paris. Within months, all but a few isolated areas in the city were under their control. Despite the odds, a rag-tag resistance had banded together to continue this fight to save their city from this war.
Miraculous Resistance H.Q., aka P.J.'s Treehouse 12:09 p.m.
"Man, Dark Moth's army's unstoppable. Without Ladybug, everyone's losing hope and giving into despair." Ivan spoke as he came into the briefing room. "Well, despair is a luxury that we do not have." Nino Lahiffe stated. "I still hope to this day that Ladybug will bounce back after what just happened. Do you think that she's... you know?" Alya Cesaire asked making a finger knife gesture.
"I maybe an optionist, but I'm also a realist here." Alix Kubdel spoke to the group. "Ladybug is gone. Cat Noir's nowhere to be found since he was too late to help her. He... He has just lost it. No one's even seen him, Adrien or Chloe either. If we're gonna win, we have to do it without them." She said as everyone nods. "Alix is right. We've been hoping for a miracle to come to us these past six months, but it would appear we have to make our own miracle, however." Kagami Tsurugi said.
"Dark Moth's army has everyone terrified at best. If we ever want the people to rally, we have to show them that strength doesn't just come from numbers." Alix said. "Not everybody's terrified. Isn't a new recruit supposed to be joining us today?" Mylene asked. "Right. A survivor from the city, yeah?" Alix asked. "Markov, check the archives for this new recruit now." Max Kante said. "I am on it." Markov said looking into the supercomputer.
Meanwhile, the Miraculous Resistance's commander, Le Chien Kim comes down from the elevator while the new recruit gets ready. "Kim, what's happening, commander?" Alix asked. "Glad to see you all in one piece. Dark Moth's forces have chewed through the defenses at the school, and the resistance said that whatever it is that defeated Ladybug..." Kim spoke as everyone looked down after what he just said.
"Sorry. Still not used to saying that. Whatever it was had got them running in fear. All except the new recruit who made it to the safest place for us to set up camp." Kim said. "Where is he?" Mylene asked. "That was your cue, dude!" Kim shouted. "Coming down, but not ready!" PJ shouted to Kim. "P.J.? Go figure." Alya said. "Alright Inky, time to show them what we are made of together. Time to transform." PJ spoke to Inky, my handmade kwami in the elevator from the laboratory.
"But we need a catchphrase to transform, don't we?" Inky asked since they both knew how the Miraculous holders transform with their respective kwamiis. "Good point. How about, "Inky, let's draw on?" PJ asked as Inky began to get sucked into my Paintball Miraculous. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hey!" Inky shouted as he warps inside the keychain. PJ then start to transform into a panda-like superhero. "Whoa!" He shouted as the elevator stopped in the briefing room.
"Whoa! Is that P.J.?" Alix asked seeing the panda superhero. "He must've transformed somehow to be a superhero." Mylene guessed. "Cute look." Alya said. "Hey, it's not cute, it's cool." PJ said out of embarrassment. "Lighten up, new guy. Alya was just messing with you. What do you call this anyway?" Alix asked. "Well, shoot! If I had to make a name for myself, it would have to be... Paint le Panda." Paint Panda answered the group as he took out his weapon, a Magic Paintbrush similar to Bowser Junior's Paintbrush from Super Mario Sunshine. "Well, let's get out there, everyone. The world isn't going to save itself." Kim said as everyone nods.
"Guys, I just received some great news! Ladybug's alive!" Le Chien Kim shouted via communicator to the other Miraculous Resistance fighters. "No way! So, they haven't finished her off!" Alix exclaimed. "Say what?! Seriously? I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!" Alya Césaire shouted. "She's been captured in an underground prison. Our spy there says she's in solitary confinement and they've been torturing her for months." Alix said. "That's horrible." Mylene said. "What'd they do? Make her watch a terrible nightmare scene from a kids' movie? Relentlessly coming at her without giving her a fighting chance?" Paint Panda asked. "Does it matter? Besides, you're scaring Mylene here." Ivan aka Minotaurox, hero of the Ox Miraculous said to the panda hero. "Sorry." He apologized.
"Still, we got to her out of there." Mylene aka Polymouse, hero of the Mouse Miraculous said. "Plan's already in action, Mylene. I've got a squad of our classmates on the way to the Train Yard to... borrow a train. Max and Markov already went to get control of one." Kim spoke. "Let's go start a jail break!" Paint le Panda said.
"Just be careful, everyone. The evil one's here, the one who took down Ladybug." Kagami as Ryuko, the Dragon Miraculous Hero spoke as Paint le Panda makes it to the train yard. "Let's get creative on this rescue." He spoke on the way.
Meanwhile, at the rooftops of Paris, France, Cat Noir looks down and pounds his fist on a rooftop chimney.
"I should've been there to help her! The woman I love, gone! Milady, I'm sorry I failed you. And I'm sorry for calling you Bugaboo so many times. If it kills me, I'll just call you Ladybug from here on. No more calling Bugaboo, I swear!" Cat Noir said as Horrificator comes out from behind him. Cat Noir tries to strike with his staff, but Horrificator takes it away. "Stay back!" He shouted. The Horrificator was about to shoot slime, until she became immobilized. "Huh? Ladybug, you're alive!" He shouts. "Close, but no tuna, kitty." A voice said.
The attacker was revealed to be Queen Bee. "Queen Bee? Wait, that hair... Hey, aren't you?" Cat Noir asked, recognizing her hair. "Say my real name, and your claws get clipped." Queen Bee said for Cat Noir not to say her identity. She squints her eyes and looks at his hair. "Adrien?" Queen Bee said softly. "You say something?" Cat Noir asked. "Nothing. We need to stop that Dark Moth. Especially after what happened to Ladybug." Queen Bee spoke. "Yeah. It's still good to see a friendly face and hero to help, though. Heck, it's good to see ANY friendly face." Cat Noir said as he and Queen Bee left.
They ran and jumped over many rooftops and saw multiple Robostus trashing the city. "This is bad! Dark Moth's making a big mess of Paris!" Queen Bee said. "Too bad we're taking the janitor's position for all this. Cleanup's gonna be a chore." Cat Noir said.
On the way to the Train Yard, Paint le Panda saw the one who defeated Ladybug. All of a sudden, a flashback occurs of a couple of months ago in the city of Paris where the resistance had been fighting against the evil silhouette similar to Ladybug.
"Resistance is futile. Your precious Ladybug playing hero is no more. I'm the real Ladybug that you all love. If you won't love me, then fear me." The evil Ladybug spoke as she fires an energy beam causing her attackers to be in fear.
PJ was hiding in fear as he was reaching for his Kids Next Door, GUMZOOKA (Gumball Utilizing Mechanism Zings Overabundance Of Kandy Around). "I can taste your fear too, kid. Anxiety, doubt. It's delicious." She spoke as PJ tried to hold his weapon until she attacked. "Leave, screaming, and I'll let you live." She spoke as the flashback ended.
"Hey, can anyone hear me?" Juleka aka Purple Tigress, hero of the Tiger Miraculous asked via the communications system. "Juleka, what's going on?" Kim asked. "Dark Moth's planning to banish Ladybug into space." She spoke.
"What? You're not serious!" Alix aka Bunnix, hero of the Bunny Miraculous shouted. "Dark Moth's been keeping Ladybug alive the whole time. He's been wanting to show her that the Akuma Army was complete before banishing her." Luka Couffaine aka Viperion, hero of the Snake Miraculous explained. "He was going to banish Ladybug to "the Other Side" but he chose to banish her in space." Juleka said.
"And torturing Ladybug just to pass the time. It's low even for him. Rock bottom, dude." Kim aka King Monkey, hero of the Monkey Miraculous said. "Dark Moth somehow got wind of our rescue plan and is moving forward on schedule. He even got Lila turned into Volpina." Juleka said. "What? He's doing the same thing to Lila as Hawk Moth...Gabriel did to her." Mylene said. "Clock's ticking, guys." Juleka said. "But we don't know where Ladybug is being held." Alya said.
"Yes, we do. Dark Moth had sent her to the Ancient Dungeons in the sewers of Paris. That's where she's taken Ladybug." Luka said. "Ancient Dungeons? We've never even heard of that place." Nino stated. "It was a hidden place that people had been taken to be tortured years ago. It's in the Catacombs of Paris under the city." Rose aka Pigella, hero of the Pig Miraculous said. "That's not good." Ivan said.
"None of this is good, Ivan. That's why it's called war." Alix said to Ivan. "We all know what to do, guys." Kim spoke. "Let's go get Ladybug!"
At the Ancient Dungeons, Paint le Panda and the other Miraculous Resistance fighters go through to see many of their friends imprisoned. "All of our friends, imprisoned here." Alya said. "We'll add their imprisonments to the things Dark Moth will answer for." Ivan said. Paint le Panda then confronts Gigantitan and Animan who block his path. "Pandy!" Gigantitan shouted. "Cornering our prey first, playtime later." Animan spoke to Gigantitan. "Time to use my power." Paint Panda spoke.
His Magic Paintbrush glows along with my Paintball Miraculous and began to swirl my Paintbrush in the air. "Art Power! Make me a ball of yarn and a big lollipop!" Paint Panda shout using my Paintbrush to create a gigantic lollipop for Gigantitan and a ball of yarn against Animan. Animan becomes enticed by the ball of yarn and plays with it as Gigantitan takes the big lollipop. "Lollipop!" He shouted eating it while I slip past them. Then he heard beeping from my Paintball Miraculous after I used my power. "Figures. I'm comin', Marinette!" I said softly.
Cue Miraculous transition.
Lady Wifi enters Ladybug's cell and sees that Ladybug was given bruises from her torture in months in the dungeon. "Hello Loserbug. Ready for some more torture or are you ready to prepare for your end?" Wifi asked the beaten hero. "Hey, how about a game of "Let Me Fight Back"? No? Of course not. You guys hate fun, and have no sense of humor whatsoever." Ladybug said as her hands was were in bonds. "Given that the one who had the same skills as you, not Chloe in case you were wondering, had given you multiple slaps in the face, I find that to be funny." Lady Wifi smirked as the area shook, the alarm started to blare and Ladybug's bonds were gone.
"The end, huh? Let's see you pound me now that I'm free." Ladybug said in a defensive stance. "Impudent insect. Getting out of your chains does not make you free. Prepare to become disconnected." Lady Wifi shouted as she sends a blast of her phone's power against Ladybug, who leaps out of the way. "The only thing disconnected are your chances of unmasking me." She said as they began to fight.
"Can't wait to see how long you last against me. I'll record this fight to humiliate you." Lady Wifi spoke as she hovers above a floating aircraft. "Fight me and I'll mop the floor with you real quick!" Ladybug shouted as Lady Wifi tries to send multiple projectiles against Ladybug. "You're not making this easy, are you?" Lady Wifi asked as Ladybug began to leap over Lady Wifi who was about to use her phone against her.
Ladybug destroys Lady Wifi's phone, leaving her defenseless. She lands on her hoverboard and tries to send a punch her way. Ladybug evades and begins to send multiple strikes against Lady Wifi. "NO! How could lose to an insect like you again?!" Wifi shouted in defeat. "That was a blast. Bring some macarons next time." Ladybug said.
Lady Wifi crashes on the ground, begins to pant and collapses. She then starts to fade away. "Did she just disappear? And that sound again... What was it?" Ladybug asked herself as the area began to shake. "No time to think, it's time to get out of here!" Ladybug shouted as she ran out from the area as some of the people were taken out of their cells.
"So, they put me in an underground prison in the Catacombs of Paris, huh? Guess anyone who crosses Dark Moth gets sent down under." Ladybug said on her way out. "How do I get out of here? Maybe there's a train I can take out of this place." She spoke.
On the way out, Paint le Panda was being cornered by Darkblade. But because he used his own Miraculous' power, he took a few steps back out of fear. All of a sudden, Ladybug's yo-yo grabs his fencing sword, and she breaks it. "Hey, are you okay?" Ladybug spoke looking at Paint le Panda. "Yeah. You showed up in the nick of time, Bugs." Paint Panda spoke.
"I don't think I've seen a Miraculous hero like you before." She said until she looked him in the eye, and start to recognize the eye color of brown, like they met before. "Wait. P.J., is that you? This must be you when you use your Miraculous. What do you call this hero?" Ladybug asked.
"I am Paint le Panda. But you can also call me Paint Panda." He spoke to Ladybug who came to his rescue. "Were you here to break me out of here?" Ladybug asked him as he nodded. "Can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Been a while since I seen a friendly face." Ladybug spoke as my communicator started to ring. "Hey Buddy Bear, you alright?" Kim asked. "Oh yeah. No need to ask how I feel." Ladybug spoke to Kim. "Ladybug! You're OK!" Alya shouted to Ladybug's confusion. "Alya?" Ladybug spoke.
"Hold up, Alya. We're all happy Ladybug is in one piece and all, but that moment won't last long if Paint Panda doesn't get out of there." Nino spoke. "Thanks for your concern, Nino." Ladybug said. "C'mon, let's ditch this dump." Ladybug said as the train doors opened. "Way ahead of ya, Marinette." Paint spoke to Ladybug who became wide-eyed for a second. "Don't worry. Our friends at the Resistance didn't hear that." Paint Panda (PJ) told her as she breathed a sigh.
