Chapter 2: The party:

"Really? Patamon was thinking of marrying Gatomon?" Agumon grinned after Gabumon explained what he had heard. They, Biyomon and Gomamon are hanging out in one of the bedrooms together.

"Yes. Veemon planned to explain this to Gatomon." Gabumon replied.

"Oh man. That is so kind of him" Biyomon complimented. She was combing her head plumage with a soft brush.

"Well, she is Kari's Digimon. So in other words…" Agumon declared.

"That makes Gatomon your younger sister. Sure you're ok like that? You're already overprotective of her." Gomamon asked the amber reptile.

"I am sure it will be alright. Now let's get this party started." Agumon cheered. The others followed suit.

The party was held at the back garden of the villa. Shoutmon, Gumdramon, Gammamon and DATS Agumon were performing the music. Gomamon and Angoramon helped with serving food and all of the other digimon had fun dancing.

Patamon was sitting at the bench waiting. Veemon has gone to chat with Gatomon. He has not returned yet.

"What is taking them so long?" he said to himself desperately.

"Hey, whatcha' doing all alone out here, guinea pig?"

Patamon looked up to see Impmon walking up to him.

"Oh. Well I was waiting for some certain people to give me some news." Patamon replied.

"Ha! I wouldn't trust that blue boy if I were you. He might be planning to take Gatomon all for himself" Impmon said with a nasty grin.

"What? I know Veemon had loved for Gatomon in the past but he got over it." Patamon gasped.

"Well he's probably stealing yer pussy right now. Sucks to be you, winged guy." Impmon teased. He walked off back to his dorm.

"How can I believe this? Would Veemon try to deceive me? And after he promised to help" Patamon muttered under his breath.

"Hey, Patamon!" A voice called out. The winged digimon turned and saw Agumon, Biyomon, Gabumon, Veemon, Gatomon, Meiccomon, Renamon, Terriermon and Lopmon come towards him.

"Oh hello guys," Patamon said gloomily.

"Hey, what's the matter with you? Why are you so down?" Gabumon asked.

"I'd rather not say." Patamon muttered.

"Anyway I have good news. I have talked to Gatomon on your behalf and guess what? She is in love with you too!" Veemon cheered. Patamon looked shocked.

"What? But I thought… you…" Patamon stammered. He was interrupted when Gatomon embraced him.

"Oh Patamon. Veemon told me everything. I love you very much too! I am so overjoyed!" Gatomon meowed happily.

"Patamon, can I trust you to take care of my 'sister'?" Agumon asked with a smile.

"Of course. I will gladly make her happy forever." Patamon said happily. He embraced the white kitty back.

"Then in a couple of days time, what's you say to a double wedding?" Agumon grinned.

"Double wedding?" Lopmon questioned.

"Yeah. I already asked Biyomon to marry me and she said yes. So let's say… in four days time, the four of us get married? Gomamon said he will be the priest." Agumon replied. Biyomon rubbed her beck on his face with love.

In the corner, Impmon glared at the scene. He had hoped for Patamon and Veemon to fight each other. But that failed so he went out towards the front area of the villa.

"I am glad for the both of you" Terriermon applauded the two couples. "We can all attend to celebrate with you."

"Yeah. I am delighted for you, Gatomon." Renamon congratulates Gatomon.

"Hey, Agumon!" came an angry voice. They all turned to see Guilmon in a very foul mood coming over. "Aren't there any evil Digimon that need to be taken care of?"

"No. What is the matter, Guilmon?" Agumon questioned.

"I'd rather be somewhere else in the Digital World then stay with this harpy of a fox!" Guilmon snapped. "I overheard her call me a CLOWN of all things!"

"You sure are." Renamon muttered under her breath.

"Shut up, you cold-hearted furball! The only thing you love is bashing Digimon's brains out!" Guilmon snarled. A red vein appeared on the yellow fox's head.

"At least I don't stuff my belly up with disgusting Peanut Butter!" Renamon retorted. The same vein appeared on Guilmon.

The two locked their foreheads together. Their eyes went white with anger. They snarled, showing rows of razor-sharp teeth.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY, VIXEN TRASH?!"

"OH, YOU WANT SOME, DINO BRAINS?!"

"Stop it, both of you!" Lopmon scolded. She got between the two before they could get in a fight. "We should be happy for Agumon, Biyomon, Gatomon and Patamon since they are to get married in four days. Show some respect for the couples!"

"Oh this sappy love stuff again!" Guilmon sighed. "This is one meal I'm sitting out. I'm going to take a nap!" He stomped off back to his dorm.

"Gatomon, my congratulations to you and I will support you forever. However, that red meddler spoiled the mood, as usual. If you'll excuse me" The infuriated fox vanished from sight.

"Have they been at it since Impmon's break up with Renamon?" asked Meiccomon.

"Yeah. It's a shame. They had been good friends once." Terriermon replied sadly.

"She has stopped falling in love since then. And after all she did to help Impmon back in the day." Lopmon said.

"Hey… I've got an idea." Veemon said with a mischievous smirk. "I know the perfect mon to help her... Guilmon!"

"Huh?" Terriermon, Lopmon, Gatomon and Gatomon asked in surprise.

"Ha, if they did, they just argue to no end!" Biyomon giggled.

"Well, hear me out guys. Tomorrow, we will do the ultimate match making trick ever: to make Guilmon and Renamon fall heads over heels with each other!" Veemon declared. "With you guys helping me out, I am sure we can make it happen!"

"Haha. Sounds good. I am in. We'll fix that sourpuss saurian and golden grump no problem" Terriermon sniggered.

"Yeah, we'll help too," Agumon smirked.

"So will we. I want Renamon to have a good husband like mine." Gatomon giggled.

"Great! Together we'll bring back the lovable goofy Guilmon and break the vixen's stubborn pride to make them love each other." Veemon grinned. "So listen to my plan."

The others huddled around to listen to his plan.

Impmon was talking to two Digimon he had met during his own travels before reuniting with the Tamers' Digimon.

One is a female anthro cat like Digimon. She has a white face and body but has brown and orange patterns around her forehead and back. She has black stripes like a tiger.

The other is a male black skinny rabbit-like creature with large pointy ears. He has stubby arms and dark blue pants.

"I cannot believe Patamon and Gatomon are getting hitched in four days." Impmon scowled. "I wanna make Patamon suffer like I did when I broke up with fox face! BlackNeemon, Mikemon, I could use a plan here."

"What's the problem? You're just mad Patamon's got a girl and you couldn't keep the fox on her leash." BlackNeemon mocked. "But don't worry. We can help with that."

"How?" Impmon inquired.

"On the night before the wedding, we could sneak into Gatomon's room," Mikemon advised. "Then we can pose like Gatomon and an unknown male behind the curtains."

"And you can bring Patamon and Veemon to the balcony to see us having fun with each other," BlackNeemon added. "Make them believe that Gatomon is having an affair and all that."

"Oh wow. That's brilliant. We'll have Patamon destroy his love for that white kitty cat." Impmon cackled. He rubbed his hands together. "I'll pay you both handsomely for this."

"A thousand coins each and we'll do it no problem" Mikemon grinned.

"Then let's put this mischief into action," Impmon said nastily. The three Digimon plotted together.
