(Hey everyone, finally Part two of this exciting beginning of a Crossover in a Crossover is at Part 2 of the "Bridging between worlds" arc where the Bots and Pilots will be able to see more of this galaxy community more than they thought. Especially when they discover more about the universe they are in. Now let's get this chapter started!
Disclaimer: I do not own anything of Star Wars and/or Transformers of any continuity. They are the properties of their respective owners.
Reminder: Don't skip what I'll write until after the chapter is done, it's got a lot of explanations that might help understand what's going on.
And thanks again to LyokoMARVELanime for allowing me to do this inter-crossover with his crossover story "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Prime" series with him in my crossover story.

This shocked the Chancellor who was able to find his voice, and after summoning the Jedi and the Autobots who arrived with the pilots, asked, "How's that possible?"
"My people are as confused as you are, but we owe you so much for everything you've done on our planet and for our people. We'd felt obligated to tell you about this before the Separatists and Decepticons return." Cham said as the fear for his people's safety were in his eyes.
"If there is a chance the Decepticons and these Separatists will come, and if they are proving to been as a great a threat as you have told us, then we cannot allow Obsidian to get his hands on that Energon deposit," Optimus decided. "Chancellor, might I request permission for my team and I to join whoever you send out in case the Decepticons do appear?"
"I'd like to do the same for myself and my fellow Gundam pilots," Kira announced. "We've had quite a great deal of experience fighting against enemy Transformers and alongside the Autobots, and if you'll excuse me if I sound offensive in saying this, our Gundams make us far more suited to fight them on an even playing field than anything we've seen at your disposal so far."
Chancellor looked surprised between the two requests. Hot Rod asked, annoyed, "Excuse me?!"
Ironhide snickered, an idea came to his head, "But... It'd be great shock to the cons if they find out Prime's here. That'll get them running back to their Stasis pods."
Obi-wan looked thoughtfully over to Kira. Anakin, insulted by the claim, before an idea appeared and said, "I would not mind if they accompany me and General Kenobi to Ryloth. That is if they do not mind being in our regular old, unimpressive Starship.
"I'm sure your ship's very impressive General Skywalker, and like I said, I meant no disrespect," Kira corrected, "I just hope it's hangar is big enough for our machines to fit inside of. But between you and me, there's no ship that could be better than the Archangel, but that's probably because it was the first ship I ever served aboard. You know, first-ship-bias."
Kup sighing stood up and spoke through the comms, "Build Team, Springer, Blaster, Aerialbot officers, meet us at General Skywalker's ship."
"Yes, yes of course, just please go with Generals Skywalker and Kenobi." Palpatine said as he came out of his stupor.
"Thank you, Chancellor," Optimus nodded before his holo-form flickered out.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to stay here and finish sorting out the details that will be necessary for our stay here," Cagalli said. "It does make the most sense since I'm the only one in our group aside from Optimus who has experience in a political setting."
"Good call, Cagalli, and we'll have Arcee stay with you as well. Can't leave you here by yourself," Bumblebee nodded. He then looked to the others and declared, "Autobots, lets dig down to victory!" When he saw the odd looks he was getting, Bumblebee explained, "Cause...we're going to an Energon deposit site, and...well, that would mean we'll likely be setting up a mine later, so..."
"Nah dawg, that's not gonna be very invigorating as that." Jazz answered, looking at his friend.
"Lunamaria was right; you do need help coming up with your battle cry," Athrun finally stated.
"Hey! I'm working on it," Bumblebee snapped a little childishly before his own holo-form disappeared as well.
"To be fair, that was still better than some of the stuff that Yzak has come up with," Kira pointed out. He then hesitated for a little bit before adding, "Barely."
The other Three Autobots' holo-forms disappeared themselves.
Anakin and Obi-wan led the group out of Supreme Chancellor's office outside where an Autobot dropship was waiting for them. With the dropship were a team of four bots, one small orange mech standing in front of three larger bots, one red, one green, and one yellow. The four of them looked like they turn into Cybertronian construction vehicles.
Blaster had his hand to his helm as he nodded his head to a music only audible to him as the two, humanoid, mini-cons - Rewind and Eject, returned to his shoulders.
There was Silverbolt, Air Raid, and three other flyers, one red with a little white, a black and dark grey armored flyer and finally a small Aerialbot that was white for most of his armor except for ahis red torso and waist.
Seeing the Autobot leader saluted, "Sir, Silverbolt and my lieutenants reporting for duty."
The small, young mech saluted as well, "Sir, Wedge and the Build team reporting for duty."
The robust yellow mech behind Wedge flashed a grin, "Good to see you again sir."
Optimus nodded as they entered the dropship and flew back to the Ark where thye were met by the jade-green and yellow colored bot, Springer, saluted. From there he led them to the hanger bay where three or four Cybertronian dropships sat waiting. An Auto-trooper with a data pad, said even over the roar of the engines, "Build team in transport 1, Aerialbots: transport 2, Prime and company in transport 3, Human pilots and their whatevers, transport 4. Take off on Republic cruisers begin as soon as everyone's on board."
He then looked to Grimlock, "Sorry, sir, but there's not enough transport the moment to accommodate for your umm..."
He then hid behind his pad, whimpering, "Please don't kill me..."
"That's fine with us, we'd hate to share a ride with a raging techno-organic like Grimlock." The small flyer commented as he took off, transformed into what appear to be advance fighter jet that looked like a Block-ish Y.
The Dark grey and black flyer sighed as he said to Silverbolt and Optimus, apologetically, "I'll talk to him, sir."
"Skydive, do what you can." Silverbolt told him.
He too began to transform into what appeared to be a jet with wings on either side of the frame that are at a twenty degree from the ground with a third wing at the bottom, like a sea ship's rutter, the three wings had barrels on them, next to the turbines as he flew off after the loudmouth.
Air Raid muttered, shaking his head, "That Slingshot... still a Zeta supporter..."
His words made the pilots and Autobots from Earth look confused.
Silverbolt looked over to Grimlock, "You can ride with us Grim."
"Me Grimlock always did like puny Silverbolt, but will make no promises about not smashing other stupid flying robot later," Grimlock grunted.
"Can anyone else already hear what Cagalli would say in retort to that," Mu asked.
"Yep," was the collective response from every Gundam pilot and Autobot that came from his universe.
"Arcee, we'll need you to stay here with Cagalli. I know you'd prefer to be in the field, but..." Bumblebee started to say.
"Relax, Bee, I get it. Just go and get the job done already," Arcee told him.
Bumblebee nodded in response and then turned to lead everyone to the transport he was assigned to, while Kira waved the Gundam pilots after him once they had all confirmed that their machines were ready for action. He could not help but smirk a little though when he heard Shinn still grumbling about their Gundams being called "whatevers".
Kup looked over at them and said, "Good luck, and may Primus watch over you when you meet the cons and those Clankers."
The Autobot soldiers moved the hover platforms as a smaller airship appeared the sides opening for the Jedi and Clone troopers to get into as a young female with orange skin, a pair of small hollow, cone-like horns that appeared to be sprouting from the top of her head that smoothly had two head on the front, falling over just above her chest, and a third head tail that was centered at the rear base of their skull. A reddish brown cloth like a tube around her chest, around her waist like a small skirt were the same weapons as the two men were seen on her belt. Her legs were covered with white cloth and fur or cloth arm covering from her palms to her elbows.
"Hey Snipps." Anakin said, going into the gunship.
"Master Windu is waiting for us at the cruisers." the girl said. the gunships doors closed when the four superior officers entered. It lifted into the air and flew to where the Republic cruisers were at.
The ships arrived at the docks as the Gundam pilots saw a spaceship with the Length of 1,137 meters, the Width 548 meters, and the Height/depth 268 meters. It resembled a dagger blade. It's size was a sixth the size of the Ark that they had left, while down below millions of men in white battle armor and tanks with six legs marched inside.
Standing is a tall, lean built, African American human male with a shaved head, wearing traditional Jedi robes and gauntlets around his forearms with his fingers exposed. His weapon held at his belt like the other Jedi. Next to him was a rather small green man being with a cane.
The Two Jedi approached as they bowed in respect to the two, With Obi-wan speaking, "Greetings, Master Windu, Master Yoda."
"Kenobi, Skywalker." The human Jedi said as he oversaw the preparations of the cruisers.
"To meet your guests, we wanted. Curious about the Prime, we were." The small green elderly being said looking up.
"You both did not need to come all this way to meet them, you could've with us when we went with the Autobots on the Ark, Masters." Anakin pointed out as he felt like this was a bit much for the two prominent members of the Jedi Council.
"You misunderstand, Skywalker, I'm coming with you. As the Twi'leks remember my assistance." Master Windu said as he looked at the Jedi Knight.
When their dropship had landed, Kira immediately lead the Gundam pilots out onto the ship so that they could move their Gundams to an area where they would not be in the way and still ready to move out at a moment's notice. While they were doing that, Optimus and Bumblebee took a moment to notice the new arrivals and made their way over to greet them.
"Greetings, I am Optimus Prime, and this is one of my finest warriors and leader of the Autobot Earth Division, Bumblebee," Optimus informed Master Windu and Master Yoda.
"Optimus Prime, I'm Jedi Master Mace Windu, High General of the Republic Army and member of the Jedi Council." He said looking over to the bots. With a bow of respect to the leader of the Autobots.
He then gestured, to the small green being in a hover chair, "This is Master Yoda, Grand master of the Jedi Order."
"Greetings, Optimus Prime. Pleased to meet you, I am." Yoda said smiling warmly to them. He then closed his eyes, "Much of The Force in you I sense."
Opening his eyes he said, "Connected to your team and remember the past, you are. But much fear in you I sense."
Optimus was silent for a moment before he replied, "The burden of command is always challenging, even to the most seasoned of warriors and leaders, though my fears are not for myself. I fear for those who stand with me, and those who I consider friends and comrades, for we are more than simply a team of soldiers. We are something greater than an army. We are a family, and our current situation would leave one worried about those around him and those that were left behind."
"Never said you were, I did. Hmm?" Yoda answered the Prime's statement.
"Don't worry, Optimus. We'll make it back one way or another," Bumblebee assured his commander. this made Optimus smile at his friend's support.
Yoda then approached the Autobot leader with his cane in hand and said, "Trust in the Force, I do."
He raised his cane up to the center of Optimus' chest, advising, "Trust in Primus and all of the other Primes' wisdom, you must. He who walks in darkness even."
the Jedi grandmaster looked up to Springer, nodding, who nodded back and stood with the Jedi Master he worked with before.
Optimus nodded in thanks for this, and then looked to see their human allies approaching. "Allow me to introduce the Gundam pilots of Earth, and our closest allies as friends: Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, Shinn Asuka, Lunamaria Hawke, Mu La Flaga, Andrew Waltfeld, and Nicol Amalfi."
At each of their names, the pilots either nodded or gave a quick salute, hoping that would be enough to indicate who was who without them saying anything, since they still did not have a translator beyond a protocol droid.
He turned to face the pilots as he looked them over, stopping before Athrun, "Much grief in you, there is. Dwelling on it, even in the slightest, lead to missing a clearer picture, it will. "
He went to stand in front of Kira and said, "Strong in you, the Force is. hmm..."
He paused as he added, "Like Jedi you are."
Springer translated for the Jedi master to the pilots, word for word.
"The kid is like one of these Jedi guys. Somehow that doesn't surprise me," Waltfeld shrugged.
"I'm flattered that you think so, sir, but I'm nothing special, really. I'm just a single human being," Kira replied modestly.
"Yeah right," Shinn smirked, with everyone else silently following his lead.
Everyone except Athrun that is. He could not help but think on the old master had said to him, before he said, "Well, I don't exactly have much of a past to really proud of, and it kind of has a tendency to come back and remind me of it. Still, I like to think I'm trying to move on."
Yoda chuckled lightheartedly, "Precisely."
"So how long will it be until we reach our destination, if you don't mind my asking," Mu inquired, hoping to get down to business as quickly as possible. It was not that he did not enjoy a little meet and greet, but they were on a bit of a short time schedule.
"We'll be arriving as soon as the Cybertronians get into the ship." Mace Windu said as the Autobot builders or Miners, and extra soldiers coming along after the walker tanks and the Clone troopers.
The Build Team climbed onto the haul of the ship and magnetized themselves to it, so does the Autobot soldiers and Aerialbots.
"There's only room for the pilot's machines, our star fighters, and the mining equipment." Master Windu said, then looked up to the Autobot team and conveyed, "I'm sorry, you'll need to magnetize yourselves to the ship's hull or return to the Autobot transports and magnetize to the bottom of the ship's exterior as well."
Mace Windu said, going to another of the large spaceships as more raise from the depths of the planet's docks.
"That's fine," Bumblebee nodded. "We'll join the other Autobots on their ship and see you all there."
Obi-wan went to another Gunship to get to a star cruiser in the air, Ironhide following.
A British older voice spoke throughout intercoms of the ship, "Attention all hands, Prepare for jump into light speed."
Ironhide got down on all fours as he grinned, magnetizing himself, and holding onto the hull, "Never get tired of this."
Then called out, "Hold on tight y'all!"
They all saw as the stars around them extending as if they were being stretched in their direction until they blinked and entered a blue tunnel, this was vastly different from Space Bridge's interdimensional tunnels, as the only thing keeping them from being pushed off was the fact all the Bots and their dropships were magnetized to the Hull of the ship they were on.
"Wait, did he say "jump into light speed'," Mu asked, glancing to the others.
"We're not using a Space Bridge," Nicol questioned further.
"Space Bridge portals use too much Energon. The Autobots require all the Energon we need in order to keep ourselves from permanently shutting down." A young man in construction looking uniform said, Autobot symbol on his clothes as his clothes were orange, "Besides... Shockwave kept the plans to make a Space Bridge adamantly close to the spark chamber."
Anakin stared in surprise, recognizing the voice, "Wedge, What are you doing here? What about your body?"
"Heavy Load and the others got it covered." He said as everyone looked forward before everyone saw the stars light up and slowly expand towards them they entered a tunnel of blue energy around them.
From outside, the Autobots held on for dear life even as Ironhide commed to Optimus, "You doing okay, Prime? The first time I went into Hyperspace I almost lost my reserves from my pools."
"Not to worry, Ironhide. I am doing quite well, as I am sure the others are," Optimus assured Ironhide.
Next to Ironhide, everyone heard Hot Rod cry out, "THIS IS AWESOME!"
"Urgh...Speak for yourself," Bulkhead moaned, clearly not doing quite doing as well as his leader.
The Aerialbots held on as the leader looked over to Grimlock, silently wondering how he was doing.
"Oh, come on Bulk, Hound was able to handle it better on his first try." Hot Rod added as he gave a yell of enjoyment.
"Well, I ain't exactly Hound, kid," Bulkhead pointed out.
"Me, Grimlock not feeling so good," Grimlock groaned holding his stomach area, looking green around the face…
The pilots, and Wedge's Holo-form, soon reached the bridge, where Anakin and the girl from before stood with a man in uniform standing with his arms behind his back in military manner. All around were men who wore uniforms similar to the other man, but they had a blue color to them. Mu, Kira, and Athrun especially noticed how all the men had exactly the same face and heard the same voice coming from them which put them on edge…
The Pilots finally saw what going through Hyperspace looked like. It looked like they were in a blue tunnel with white lines speeding past them. Anakin looked over with a slight smile, "So... what do you think of our Hyper space technology?"
"Whoa," was the only thing Lunamaria could think of as she looked on.
"It's like something out of a sci-fi movie," Shinn whispered.
"Suddenly I kinda want to have a look at the specs of this ship so I can get a better understanding of how it's staying together instead of slowly coming apart at the seams from moving at this speed," Kira commented.
"No kidding. The closest thing we have to something like this is the miniaturized Space Bridge generators that we just started making standard issue for all ships," Athrun noted. This concerned the Jedi and the holo-form of the Build Team leader.
"How much Energon does that consume?" Wedge asked, catching their attention, "You do know how much Energon one portal use? You'd sacrifice a lot of bots just so you can teleport through space? I thought you guys know how badly Energon is scarce since Cybertron's still dark."
"You'd be surprised how many Energon deposits there are on Earth," Nicol commented. Catching the Holo-formed Autobot's surprise.
"And besides that, it is a miniaturized Space Bridge generator, so it's meant to consume a lot less Energon than a typical space bridge portal generator," Athrun stated. "In point of fact, I'd say it actually uses very little Energon, period, especially since it's meant to be used on a ship."
"The fact that they've recently been fitted with Energon Reactor Cores is also a pretty big help too," Kira pointed out.
"Energon what?" Wedge asked, his holo-form's image frizzled as a beeping was heard and a diminutive blue and white droid, standing 1.08 meters tall. It rolled on three legs, one of which could retract into his cylinder body, and had a silver and blue domed head. The droid looked to Wedge continued to beep concerned.
"Yeah, you're right Artoo, better get back out before my core consciousness breaks down." He said deactivating his holo-form.
After Wedge had disappeared, Lunamaria walked over to Artoo and knelt down next to him, patting his dome while saying, "Aw, well aren't you a cute little fella?"
That got a positive response from the 'cute little fella' in question who was beeping and whistling at the compliment.
"That's the General's Astromech Droid." The man in the uniform explained they turned to see the he was human with a mustache over his lip and some signs of hair thinning. He dressed in a dark green uniform with black boots that stop just under his knees his uniform was very neat and tidy looking with a badge on it that had three red squares over two blue ones, making it almost like a W in how they positioned it, "Astromechs such as R2-D2 have been a great asset in our fight against the Separatists in this war. And this one has been with the General since the start of the war."
"Kira, I swear if you say you can understand him like you were able to understand Bumblebee back in the day, I'm gonna be a little freaked out," Mu warned the younger man.
"What makes you think I'd be able to understand him just because of that," Kira asked. When he received nothing more than a few looks from the others in reply, he slouched a little in response and said, "Okay, so I can understand him, but is it really that big of a deal?"
"Kind of," Athrun admitted to his best friend. Kira just threw said best friend a look in response.
Anakin heard this and asked, "You know Binary?"
"Binary? As in binary code?" Kira asked, confused.
Anakin looked at Kira with a brow raised, before he spoke, "Binary is the primary language for Droids, but some are programmed for other languages like Galactic Basic, which you're surprisingly speaking fluently in for someone from another reality."
Kira and the other pilots blinked in surprise by Anakin's statement as the admiral asked, "What are you talking about? You're the one speaking our language, English."
This confused Anakin, the men with them, a trooper asked, "Eng-huh?"
The man in the blue and white armor, but with a shaved head, looked at Anakin just as confused.
Obi-wan rubbed his beard, contemplating what this could mean, "Perhaps the Explosion of the Warp Gate caused more than we thought if they believe we're speaking the language of their planet compared to Galactic Basic."
While they all tried to figure out what's going on, Kira glanced over to where Ahsoka was and asked, "So, who's that girl over there? I remember seeing her with you earlier, and to be honest, she looks like she's not that much older than I was when I first became a mobile suit pilot."
"She's my Padawan, my apprentice." Anakin explained as the girl came back and approached, "Got the men ready, snips?"
"You bet, master." She said before seeing them, "Oh... you're all the Pilots I heard bout from Rex and Master Skywalker."
She offered her hand, "I'm Ahsoka Tano, welcome to our Galaxy."
The man who stood at the bridge introduced himself as well, "Admiral Wullf Yularen, pleased to make your acquaintance."
"Kira Yamato, pilot of the Strike Freedom Gundam. Nice to meet you, and thanks," Kira nodded as he accepted the handshake. "And this is Athrun Zala, pilot of Infinite Justice Gundam, Shinn Asuka of Destiny Gundam, Lunamaria Hawke of the Impulse Gundam, Nicol Amalfi of the Nero Blitz Gundam, Mu La Flaga, the Star Force Strike Gundam pilot, and Andrew Waltfeld, pilot of Gaia Gundam."
Each pilot had given a little wave or some other form of acknowledgement when their names were said by Kira.
"Excuse me for cutting introductions short but we must be ready for when we arrive on Ryloth, especially if the enemy discovered what our allies on Ryloth have about the Energon." The Admiral stated as he turned to walk away.
"Just let us know what we can do to help out Admiral. We're more than happy to do our part," Waltfeld nodded, understanding where Yularen was coming from, given his past experiences as a commanding officer. Admiral Yularen took in the guest's words with curiosity.
"I should go too." Ahsoka spoke up, while she turned to leave the bridge, "Gotta get the boys and our starfighters ready for a possible fight if the Cons and Clankers show up."
Lunamaria watched Ahsoka leave before she left to catch up with younger alien girl. Seeing this, Athrun and Shinn decided to follow to make sure it didn't work. Mu and Nicol glanced at each other before wondering more about the troopers as
Once the Admiral and Ahsoka had left, Kira looked to Anakin and said, "You know, I noticed that Wedge seemed interested in learning about the Energon Reactor Core. Don't you guys have something like that here?"
"Of course not, we may be needing of energy but we're not going to experiment with Energon, the blood of another species just to progress." Anakin stated surprising them, before he added, "It's against the Republic-Autobot Agreement Act. And against the principles of the Jedi code."
Anakin then patting the droid's dome head, and said, "I don't know how it's done in your universe, Admiral Yamato, but things are different here."
The Droid began beeping, a little hysterically, causing the Jedi to look to the Droid, before telling him, "I know buddy, sorry. I just don't want our friends to die…"
"I understand what you mean, General Skywalker, but the Energon Reactor Cores were created as both a way to improve things on our world, which had been suffering a serious energy crisis of its own at the time, and help the Autobots. After all, Energon does serve as more than just the Autobots' lifeblood," Kira explained.
"Please, call me Anakin." Anakin requested as an attempt overcome his attitude earlier, before saying, "The principles of the order forbid us in acting in such a way, we'd be no better than the ones who lead the Separatists."
Kira noticed how close Anakin and Artoo seemed, before he commented, "If you don't mind me saying so, it looks like you and Artoo are pretty close to each other."
Anakin snorted fondly and said, "I've known Artoo since I was a boy. We first on a desert planet called Tatooine where Obi-wan and his mentor found me and brought me to the Jedi Council... Being a Jedi is the least I can do for the man who gave me a chance to give me a better life."
Kira nodded in understanding of what Anakin was saying, and could not help but smile a little at the story about Anakin's relationship with Artoo before he said, "Yeah, it's kinda the same way for me and Bumblebee, seeing as he's the first Autobot anyone back home had ever encountered. In fact, I was actually the one who found him and brought him aboard the Archangel so we could attempt to repair him."
He then chuckled a bit as he recalled, "Boy were we surprised when he suddenly jumped up and joined in on our next battle to save us from a Decepticon. After that though, it turned out that even though he still didn't have his voice and talked in a way similar to Artoo, I could understand him perfectly, and I guess that played a big part in our becoming best friends. The fact that he and Optimus also helped train me so that I could fight to defeat an opponent without killing them was also something I'm still grateful for to this day."
Anakin looked over as he remained silent, "Fighting without killing... Wish it was that easy, especially with the war, and the criminals in the galaxy."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try if we have the ability to do so, and aside from my training, the Strike Freedom has the ability to let me do just that," Kira nodded. He then glanced at the silver device on Anakin's belt and asked, "So, Wheeljack said you use a weapon that's similar to a mobile suit's beam sabers. Is that it there?"
"This is a Lightsaber, the tool of the Jedi." Anakin said holding his weapon up in his hand, "As Master Obi-wan puts it: This is more than a weapon, it is our life."
"Nice," Kira commented. "Kinda reminds me of how Optimus views his Energon Battle Axe as a faithful friend and ally. Does it take much training to learn how to use one?"
"Only a Jedi is permitted to use one." Anakin said, hooking it back onto his belt, "and it takes years to master one a Lightsaber and one of our most guarded secrets."
He then heard beeping from the Astromech, where the Jedi nodded, "Artoo's right, we should check my starfighter before we're close to Ryloth."
Looking over, Anakin called to Yularen, "Admiral, you're in command of the bridge."
"Very good, General." Admiral Yularen responded as he remained standing on the bridge as the many Clone Naval Ops continue to do their work around the bridge of the cruisers. Waltfeld raised a brow curiously at the man before following him.
"Alright, guess I'd better make sure the Strike Freedom is ready to go as well," Kira nodded. "Nice talking with you Anakin, and nice meeting you, Artoo."
Anakin nodded as he and the astromech droid left the bridge.
Ahsoka was walking her way past the corridor to the turbo lift when she heard a voice from behind.
"Hey Ahsoka!"
The Togruta Padawan turned to see the human woman hurrying to catch up with her, Lunamaria, after catching up, requested, "You mind if I join you in making sure the troops are ready? It'll give me a chance to see a bit more of the ship and hang out with another girl instead of being surrounded by a bunch of guys all day,"
"Sure thing. But don't worry, they know what to do, we'd be better checking the Starfighters and weapons."
"Well, hey, better to do something to help out than just sitting around watching others while looking completely lost, right?" Lunamaria shrugged, she joined Ahsoka in the ship's elevator before it closed and took them down in the main hanger.
After they got out, Lunamaria then glanced at the starfighters some were a blocky Y-shaped, others were the gunships that she saw back on Coruscant, and some overs looked like W shaped ships with a third wing on top. Lunamaria turned and asked Ahsoka, "So do you ever pilot one of these things?"
"Jedi are trained to pilot starfighters should we need to, especially for the war." Ahsoka answered leading Lunamaria to a ship that looked almost diamond shaped ship with a barrel on either side of the nose. The overall color resembled the symbol that Luna had seen on the Pauldrons worn by Obi-wan and Anakin. A Sword with a wing on either side of the sword, with a start in the middle of it. Close to the canopy was a sort of slot.
Ahsoka smiled showing off her starfighter, "This is a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Light Interceptor, the Starfighters that Jedi have been using since just before the start of the War. They have a shield generator and SDS 8/5 dual laser cannons, positioned on either side of the nose for each ship, a slot for an Astromech Droid to insert themselves when it's time to fly, helps with any system repairs needed while we're focusing on aerial combat. And a pair of J-44 "Jetforce" sublight engine linking them to the electromagnetic nozzles you see under the cockpit."
Ahsoka even opened the cockpit of her starfighter incase Lunamaria wanted to take a look inside. Luna's eyes widened and almost sparkled, entering the cockpit of the ship as she looked at everything inside it compared to a jet or even a mobile suit, "Wow! They must be like a Gundam for the Jedi as opposed to the standard mobile suits used by regular soldiers, huh?"
"What's a Gundam or mobile suits?" Ahsoka asked, confused by her new friend's meaning.
Lunamaria hummed in understanding of the former fact before she answered Ahsoka's question. "Well mobile suits in general are humanoid battle machines with tough armor and powerful weapons. Kinda like the fighters your general troops fly only with a kind of flexibility and movement range of a human."
Ahsoka was taking all this in while Lunamaria continued her explanation, "As for Gundams, they're a special class of mobile suits with a unique design and with extra power, stronger armor, and a few other additional capabilities that other basic mobile suits don't have. In fact, my friends and I all pilot Gundams ourselves, hence the reason why they all have Gundam in their names. My machine is the Impulse Gundam, the one with the large, red backpack and shield."
"We may not have humanoid-based machines to pilot, the closest ones are the Cybertronians and the droids..." Ahsoka answered seeing her new friend admiring her ship, "Thought not sure if Battle Droids count since they're the same size as most beings."
Lunamaria made a note of that before she said, "Well, looks like now you can add mobile suits and Gundams to that list."
She then paused for a minute before asking, "Hey, you want to take a closer look at the Impulse? I wouldn't mind showing you a few things about it if you're interested, and besides, it's only fair since you let me see your starfighter."
Ahsoka smiled thinking it would interesting to see this 'Gundam' Machine close and personally. She nodded and then followed the pilot to the large mobile suit. They found the machine in question, which was laying on its back to allow the pilot easier access to it as with the other Gundams due to the difference in Ship layout that the Pilots realized when they awoke. It was grey which was different from what Ahsoka heard some of the Autobot troopers said about it having colors before. Ahsoka, as promised by Lunamaria, had been allowed inside to examine everything within, as soon as she did she was met with the script that she saw appearing in the screen, "Hey Lunamaria? What's this?"
Lunamaria blinked before she poked her head inside and what had the Padawan stumped, "What? That's English, a language on our planet."
"Really?" Ahsoka asked looking at her new friend, "Then why are you speaking Galactic Basic so well?"
Now it was Lunamaria's turn to be confused, "Huh?"
After a bit of time of trying to understand how they can understand each other so easily despite speaking different languages so Lunamaria had to translate what Ahsoka couldn't read such as what the English letters of G.U.N.D.A.M. read out as well as anything that the Togruta couldn't understand. Once it was done Lunamaria looked to her new friend and asked, "So, what do you think? Pretty impressive, huh?"
"I'll admit, this is interesting..." Ahsoka began, before she pointed out the image of the power core of the Mobile Suit, "But don't you think that being so close to the power source instead of the more chest area might be dangerous to the pilot? Especially without the main camera at the head?"
"Probably," Lunamaria admitted, before she assured, "But there are plenty of safe-guards and backup cameras in place for those areas, and besides, given the Impulse's unique transformation system, there's not really anywhere else that the power source could be placed. At least not without the same level of effectiveness."
Ahsoka looked through the visual data as Lunamaria continued to talk, "There's a whole list of other technical reasons, but I didn't really understand most of it since I'm not an engineer or a mechanic."
"At least, not beyond the basic level of things that are necessary for maintaining the Impulse." Lunamaria commented mostly under her breath. Unfortunately, that comment was loud that Ahsoka lowered her head sadly, "Oh…"
Mu and Nicol were busy taking a look at the ship this Galactic Republic ship use for their main war. It's much larger than the Archangel, but not as large as the Ark in their universe. However, what had Mu on edge was the basic foot soldiers in this army, how they were all the same height and had all the same voice.
They saw how some of the soldiers, despite having the main white color of their armor like others soldiers, had blue markings to their armor. They apparently are customizable given how some are not uniform as others.
They were passing by a corridor when they saw two of the soldiers with yellow-orange colors on their armor were, checking their weapons. One had a sort of crew cut with fine-trimmed mustache on his face and the other was shaved
"I'm telling ya Waxer, the little biter might not remember us." The one with the hair and a fine-trimmed mustache said as he checked his blaster rifle.
"I don't know Boil. She might recognize us. Especially with the little paintings we did." The to said meaning the cartoon paining of a blue Twi'lek feminine face, a little girl on both of their helmets as they walked past the two pilots.
That seemed to catch Nicol's & Mu's attention just as the green-haired pilot was finishing up with his checks on the Nero Blitz. They figured now might as well be a good time to introduce themselves.
"Hey, I'm Nicol. Nicol Amalfi. I was just finishing up with some maintenance on my machine when I overheard you guys," the green haired pilot greeted.
"Name's Mu La Flaga. Just seeing how things are going before we land."
The two soldiers stood at attention; the one with the shaved head and small goatee introduced himself, "Waxer."
"Boil." The Other said.
"We're sorry for bothering you, sir." Boil said as he began to go to continue his duty.
"It's just we were on Ryloth the last time the Republic came to liberate the planet from the Separatists." Waxer explained.
"Nice to meet you guys, and don't worry about it. I was curious anyway," Nicol reassured the soldiers.
"Curious about us?" Waxer asked, confused.
Narrowing his eyes, Boil asked, "Why?"
"We noticed throughout the ship how everyone from the crew to the soldiers here all look and sound the same." Mu said, feeling how touchy this might be after the experience he and his friend had face such a subject back on Earth.
"Are you all siblings or…"
The two glanced at each other and shared a knowing look, "In a way, you can say that. We're clones."
Those words confirmed what Mu was thinking… the entire army that the Galactic Republic use, were entirely made of Clones…
"You're all clones?" Nicol asked, surprised to hear this. He knew his former commander was a clone, but… the way that Kira described it he was a 'defect'.
"Of course we are. That's why the army of the Republic's known as a Clone army." Boil said, impatient with the questions.
Waxer stopped his best friend, "Easy Boil, they're just curious."
"They make it sound like Clones are a bad thing." Boil said, annoyed.
Mu studied them as they spoke, sighed as he explained, "I can't disagree with you there… the other Pilots and I had to deal with a clone that was trying to destroy the planet we call home while using the Decepticons to wipe us out."
Hearing that made Waxer sympathetic and Boil surprised to hear that, "What?"
"You're serious?" Boil asked, he knew that there were many people who disliked clones, but to actually face a clone that wanted to destroy a planet and betray their people for the Droid's allies… that was messed up, especially after hearing about Sargeant Slick did on Christophsis.
Seeing how uncomfortable the clones are, Nicol spoke up and asked, hoping to set troubles at ease, "So… What's Ryloth like?"
Mu remained silent studying the clones before them while Waxer spoke, "Well... from what we were briefed while we were heading to Ryloth the first time. We were told that throughout the entire system, it's the second planet. thin breathable atmosphere. It's orbited by five moon and unlike the planet Naboo it has barely any or no surface of water."
"Except for the ice that happen during the nightside." Boil added, surprising the pilots.
"But it's also a planet of extremes. Like it's dry, rocky landscapes of deserts, mountain ranges with mist-covered peaks, shadowy valleys, alternated with snowy wastes, joined by lush temperate bands which concentrated much of its population." Waxer continued.
"I remember seeing a small forest when we had to retake Nabat." Waxer pointed out,
"But there're also deadly creatures on the planet. those... Gutkurrs or whatever the kid said called them." Boil said, which drew the attention of the pilots before he continued, "It also has a weird day-night rotation period, with atmospheric conditions on the surface were made that way by their harsh seasons."
He then counted them off his fingers, "Their high winds, the Heat Storms during the Day side of the planet, the creatures"
"Let's just say that it isn't an easy planet to live on." Waxer said, trying to put some confidence in to the words his friend was telling their guests, "There's a twilight zone between the two extremes where most of the locals build their homes some build them underground cities, blockaded with thick blast doors and portcullises to keep out the a creatures like the Gutkurrs and others out.
"Especially a real nasty piece of work called Lyleks." Waxer added
"Yikes," was all Nicol could think of to say in response. "Sounds like quite the rough place for anyone who doesn't live there."
"That's why it was important for General Skywalker to destroy the blockade before General Kenobi and Windu's ships arrived during the war to free this planet." Boil said.
"Guess Skywalker and his team are pretty good pilots if they were able to break through a blockade like that on their own," Nicol commented.
"Unlike General Kenobi who's a bit more... subtle, General Skywalker's not what you'd expect for a leader, let alone a Jedi." Waxer said.
"Sounds kinda similar to how I would compare a couple of my friends to one another," Nicol chuckled. Waxer looked at the younger man with an amused expression on his face.
"You mean with those giant droids you and your group have?" Boil asked, not seeing the appeal except for the weapons and how many of the human sized droids they had to deal with on a regular basis.
"Wanna take a look?" Mu asked. This made Waxer and his best friend glancing at each other, curious about the 'droid suit' in question.
When General Skywalker and the apparent Admiral Yamato left, Admiral Yularen turned to the man with the highly advance prosthetic arm. Curious, he spoke up, "If you don't mind, Mr. Waltfeld, I would like to know more about your mechanical Prosthetic."
"Eh, just a miracle of modern medical technology mixed in with some Cybertronian tech," Waltfeld shrugged, granting the admiral's request while shifting his prosthetic arm into a blaster for a moment as a way to show off its capabilities, surprising the Admiral and any nearby bridge operators.
Waltfeld's expression soured, "Of course, I probably wouldn't have needed it if a certain Decepticon Seeker hadn't tried to blow me up, but considering the benefits, and the fact it could've been a lot worse, I'm not complaining too much."
"Yes I heard of the seekers from Jetfire, apparently the leader of the three was his friend before joining the Decepticons." Yularen stated, before his eyes shifted back to the other man's arm and asked, trying to be as polite as possible, "But how were you able to get a Cybertronian replacement when you would have to... deactivate one... to get it?"
"Now who ever said that my arm was made using parts of a Cybertronian?" Waltfeld asked, with an amused look on his face.
"It's really just a bit of tech that they helped make, kinda like some of their weapons, scanners, and other similar stuff," Waltfeld corrected, while noting that Jetfire was a friend of the Seekers in this universe as well at one point.
Yularen looked curiously at this, and asked, "Perhaps such technology can be of benefit to the troopers who survive these battles?"
Once they were standing directly in front of the Impulse, Lunamaria helped Ahsoka up into the machine cockpit and started showing the alien girl a few things about the machine, such as the various basic controls and a few details about its weapons. As they were doing that, they did not really notice how a certain pair of Gundam pilots were looking on from next to their own machines. "Talk about Deja Vu," Shinn commented.
"Yeah, no kidding," Athrun nodded in agreement, knowing exactly what Shinn was talking about.
Lunamaria had also overheard the two, and immediately became a little concerned when she saw Ahsoka's expression change. So, she asked, "What's up?"
"I'm fine it's just... when we first came here I led a squad of fighters to try and destroy the control ship of the blockade, but... they had frigates with Decepticons waiting for us and... only three of us made it back after the ambush. And we had to retreat with a cruiser destroyed and another damaged. And worst of all, Admiral Yularen was injured." Ahsoka explained looking down sadly.
She chuckled a little, smiling, at what happened after. "Then Anakin had to do something crazy to get me out of my depression and doubt."
"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I can kinda understand what that's like," Luna said. "I got shot down on a mission once, and as a result I was pretty badly injured while my machine was completely totaled. The next battle we got into, I had to just sit back and watch while Shinn flew off to fight on his own with only a handful of Autobots and our ship as his backup. Well, that and Kira and Optimus' team. The next thing you know, I'm being reassigned to the Impulse while Shinn was given the Destiny, and we're both swept up into a whole conspiracy that would've destroyed our way of life back home."
Luna paused for a minute before she said, "Well, at least on the bright side, we both came out of it in one piece, and we're now a lot stronger for it than we were before, right?"
Ahsoka nodded as she climbed out of the Gundam, "...Was Shinn piloting this Destiny machine long?"
"A few months now really," Lunamaria revealed as she climbed out as well. "Actually, Shinn was the original pilot of the Impulse before I was transferred to it. In fact, the Destiny Gundam was designed using the data collected from Shinn's battles with the Impulse."
"...I ..I'm sensing deep pain for someone who he failed to save..." She said sensing emotions lingering in the suits.
That was unexpected for Luna, but she still knew what Ahsoka was talking about, "That's probably regarding Stella," Luna revealed which took Ahsoka out of concentration, "Even though she was an enemy pilot, she still developed a bit of a connection with Shinn and me. When we first met her, we thought she was just a traumatized war victim, but it turned out she was...well, let's just say somethings had been done to her that are morally wrong. Shinn and I did our best to help her, but in the end, we weren't able to save her from the one thing she was completely terrified of: dying."
Ahsoka looked shocked, before looking down sorrow, "I'm so sorry...but because of how he poured his heart into the actions of his mobile suits left a connection between him and the then... I also sense anger..."
Lunamaria thought for a minute before she just shrugged and said, "Yeah, not sure about where that would come from. I mean, I heard he got pretty mad after that time I got hurt, and he was pretty ticked with the 'Con who killed Stella, but that's pretty much it."
Luna then let that hang for a little bit before she asked, "So can I ask what it's like being a...what did you call it? A Padawan? I mean, I don't want to sound rude or anything, but I am kinda curious."
"I'm Master Skywalker's apprentice or learner, studying to be a Jedi Knight myself someday." She explained to her as she sat on the Gundam's body.
"And what's that like? Is it fun, exciting, tough? Do you get to do anything special," Lunamaria prompted as she sat down next to her.
"Well… I was discovered on my people's home planet of Shili by a Jedi he took me to the temple and where they trained me to learn how to use the Force properly, how to develop my skills and how to use a lightsaber." Ahsoka explained, "We're usually waiting until a Jedi chooses who to be their padawan, but for my case I was chosen by him after being send with new supplies for them when Jabba's son was kidnapped." Ahsoka said, "The complications made it possible for me to be picked by Master Skywalker."
"Wow. Is it hard being a Jedi though?" Luna asked. "I mean, I went through a lot training to be a ZAFT pilot, and got lucky enough to graduate as a ZAFT red, but it sounds like your training is not much more of a picnic."
"It was." Ahsoka admitted, but smiled, "but it helped me to grow as I am now to help fight this war to be a Jedi in the future."
Nicol, Mu, Waxer and Boil came into the Hanger where they found Nicol's machine the Nero Blitz was some feet away from where Ahsoka and Lunamaria were, in the red-head's Gundam, the Impulse.
"You know, I have to ask, if you two and all of the other soldiers are clones, how can you tell who's who without wearing different armors," Nicol asked Waxer and Boil.
"We each have a birth number. And we all know who" Waxer explained.
"Okay...but how do you know who's who without that? Is there like some kind of mental imprint or something or do you guys just know how to pick up on certain quirks that you each have," Nicol elaborated.
"We're just all different, many of us were in classes as cadets before the growth accelerant that the cloners of Kamino use to get us to being the same age as the one we were cloned from to be the soldiers of the republic." Boil explain, "But sometimes we give each other names or do something like Captain Rex or Waxer here does."
He said meaning Waxer's shaved head.
"Oh, I get it," Nicol nodded.
"So, what about the guy you were cloned from? Was he a soldier as well,"
Everyone turned to the new voice and saw Athrun coming curious, seeing the clones' expression, the man realized his mistake, "Oh sorry, I should've introduced myself first. I'm Athrun Zala."
"Nice to meet you, sir." Waxer said as both clones saluted.
Boil however said, "We were cloned by a man who was considered the best Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy, Jango Fett. He was chosen by the Jedi who commissioned us into existence and appeared to Kamino."
Athrun, and Mu, was a little shocked to hear that they were cloned from a bounty hunter, but given that their galaxy was in the middle of a war, he was not going to question it. "So have you two been serving as soldiers for very long," Athrun inquired, admittedly curious about that, a curiosity that Nicol shared.
"Since the Clone Wars began a little over a year ago. It's being fought throughout the Galaxy." Waxer answered, "Clones are trained before we're given growth acceleration to be physically and mentally ready to serve during the first battle of the war, which was almost a year ago."
"Wait… Growth acceleration?" Mu asked, trying to process this… they can make the clones in this reality be able to grow faster than have them take a regular time?
"Let's just say we took half of the time it took for non-clones to grow." Boil explained, seeing the perplexed expression on the blond-man's face.
"Well, if you've all lasted this long, I'd say you're doing pretty well," Athrun stated. "Anyway, we should probably run a few final checks on our Gundams before we reach our destination."
"Right," Nicol nodded, turning back to the Nero Blitz. "Nice meeting you guys," he then told the two clones before he departed.
"You to." Waxer said, as Boil saluted before the two returned to work.
After Shinn watched his girlfriend talking with Ahsoka and figured he might as well go over and say something.
"Hey Luna! I really hope you've got everything you have to do finished, otherwise Athrun and Mister Waltfeld are both gonna get on you for gossiping," Shinn called out with a smirk. Catching the attention of the two girls.
Luna only rolled her eyes playfully at him before she said, "Well not all of us work overtime because we're more in love with our machines than the person we're dating, Mister Super Ace."
Looking to Ahsoka, Luna then reintroduced her boyfriend to her new friend, "Ahsoka, meet the former pilot of the Impulse and the pilot of The Destiny himself, as well as my boyfriend, Shinn Asuka. Shinn, this is Ahsoka Tano, General Skywalker's Padawan."
"I think I was there when I introduced myself to your group on the bridge." Ahsoka said as she studied Shinn.
"Right, I remember," Shinn nodded with a small chuckle. "So how many horror stories did Luna tell you about me?"
"I did not tell her any such stories...yet," Luna giggled teasingly, earning herself a small slap on the arm from Shinn.
Shinn noticed Ahsoka studying him, he could not help but ask, "Is something wrong?"
"You're just... very complex. even though you don't show it." Ahsoka said as she went to her Starfighter.
Shinn stared after Ahsoka for a minute, not sure what she meant by that, until Luna said, "Well, she does have a bit of a point. You do seem pretty complicated at times, Shinn."
"Gee, thanks," Shinn responded, sarcastically. He then turned his gaze back to Ahsoka, both to think about what she had said, and because he had to admit, she did seem kinda cute in a weird way, and the latter had earned him a hard elbow to the side from Lunamaria when she realized this. "What?"
"One, I'm your girlfriend, remember? I'm not supposed to like it when you stare at other girls for too long. And two, you do know that it's rude to stare and she's from another universe, right," Lunamaria pointed out.
"I know that, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion, does it," Shinn asked.
Luna just rolled her eyes and turned to run one final check on her machine while muttering something about how stupid boys could be at times.
The Autobots watched as the ships they were on exited out of Hyper space, they could see the sandy-red and somewhat blue planet. That must be the planet that this General Syndulla called from. They held on tight as the ship they were on entered the atmosphere. Fortunately the ship's size was big enough for the bots to not feel the heat of re-entry. It then began to land on the outskirts from the villages. The bots and pilots exited the ship, with help of dropships or exiting with the Jedi as they saw for the same Twi'lek male that was on the hologram approached, his skin tone was orange-like as he had tattoos on his head. Next to him was a Clone trooper with teal blue coloring on his armor, with the same Pauldron that Rex had, meaning he's of the same rank as the bald trooper under Anakin.
The Twi'lek saw the approaching Jedi and Autobots, approaching them to shaking hands with Mace Windu, "Welcome back, my friend."
"General." Mace greeted, as he said, "You remember, General Skywalker."
"Of course, I still must thank him for shooting down those bombers before they destroyed our capitol." Syndulla said looking to Anakin.
"I was merely doing my job, sir." Anakin said.
"Cpt. Howzer, sirs." The trooper introduced himself, standing at attention. The Jedi nodded at the captain had been stationed, with his men, to help keep Ryloth safe until the war was over.
Cham Syndulla nodded as he pointed away from the village the ship landed close to, walking with the three Jedi, "The Energon crystals that I mentioned was found at the edge of the Bright lands when we were searching for any survivors from the Separatist's bombings. We would go investigate more but we fear the possibility of the droids already arriving with the Decepticons and the possibility that a Lylek may be nesting there."
"That would be a problem." Windu added, reading about the creatures beforehand.
"Lyleks?" Ahsoka asked, curious as were some of the pilots who ever heard of the creatures before.
"Large creatures, they are deadly and aggressive especially to their own kind when food cannot be found. The tail itself is one of its many dangerous weapons." Cham stated as a Twi'lek handed a holo-disc as he activated it and showed the footage of the creature as it walked on saberlike feet, insectoid body, and pincer shaped head with an eye on each pincer point, powerful jaws, and tentacles for forearms like any arachnid creature. there were two tails instead of one.
"That explained why all of your villages have those huge walls, and thick blast doors, to keep them and those creepy things out." Ironhide said seeing the creature, as he knelt down to see it.
Cham nodded, "We fear the majority of the Energon is where these monsters made their nests..."
Ironhide looked up and looked to Optimus, "Any suggestions, Prime?"
"It would be best to divide our forces for the moment. One team to secure the Energon, and another to stand guard for any Decepticon-droid attack," Optimus immediately replied, drawing Syndulla's attention to the bot that the Autobot officer deferred to.
"But we should hold off on that until we know for sure whether or not they've beaten us there," Bumblebee interjected. "No point in splitting up prematurely and not being at full strength when we encounter them."
Optimus nodded in agreement with his former scout before saying, "Waltfeld, Lunamaria, and Nicol should also be on the team that secures the Energon while Kira and the others remain with the team that will fend off the enemy forces."
"My thoughts exactly," Kira agreed.
"I must warn you, Autobot. The Bright lands receive the majority of the planet's suns, making it hard for even the we, Twi'leks to survive in the intense heat." Cham warned, concerned on his face.
Optimus nodded to the warning that the Twi'lek gave.
"And the Lylek?" Slingshot asked, unimpressed by Optimus' plan so far.
"We'll worry about it when we get there." The young Wedge said, before speaking to his team, "Okay Build team. Let's Excavate and Build."
The four of them transformed and began heading over to the coordinates as does some of the mining teams of Autobot soldiers and their drills.
"He's certainly eager to get started," Wheeljack noted.
"Can't say I blame him," Waltfeld shrugged before climbing into the Gaia's cockpit, drawing attention to some of the Twi'lek, curious why the human was entering an Autobot's body, "I'm kinda eager myself. Looks like today, the Desert Tiger goes hunting in another galaxy."
"Waltfeld, Mu La Flaga, Nicol, Lunamaria, the four of you go with the Build team and their squad to secure the energon. Kira , Athrun, Sin, fly ahead of us to scout the area, but do not engage any enemies you find unless necessary," Optimus ordered.
"Roger that," the pilots replied from their own machines.
"Let's get going guys," Kira ordered, and a minute later, the eyes of the Gundams all flashed to life, while their armors changed from dull grey to their more extraordinary colors. Having now come completely online, the machines then leaped into the air and quickly began to follow after the Autobots, save for the Gaia, which transformed into its mobile armor mode and simply raced across the ground at the same pace.
The Twi'leks and Howzer's men stared in surprise, Cham asked, "What on Ryloth?"
"You can relax general, they're new to these parts with new equipment to assist in case the droids arrive." Windu explained as Cham nodded.
"Very well, if you trust them, master Jedi, then so shall I." the resistance fighter said as he gets on a two-legged reptilian creature and rode off the nearest town.
Silverbolt approached the Prime and said, "Sir, my team and I will be on patrol in the skies, with your permission..."
"Uhh… why are you asking him for his permission?" Slingshot asked, unimpressed before he transformed and began flying around spatting in Cybertronian, "{It's not like he's our Prime... or a real Prime at that.}"
"Slingshot!" Silverbolt call after the loudmouth flyer.
He sighed and said, "Forgive him, Optimus. Slingshot's... well... Didn't agree with the change back on Cybertron."
"It is alright, Silverbolt. I have become used to others claiming I was not a Prime. Though I can't say that Bumblebee or any of the others will let it slide so easily," Optimus assured the Aerialbot.
Silverbolt, taking his leader's words, turned to his teammates, "Aerialbots, transform and take off."
He, Air Raid, Firefly, and Skydive transformed into their vehicle modes and flew off into the sky to make sure it is safe.
Bumblebee, however, was glaring after Slingshot, but more than that, he was also muttering about something else. "'Transform and take off'? That's not even that clever, and yet no one's saying anything?"
"Given how he's leading our aerial forces, it fits." Bulkhead pointed out, watching them fly off.
"Autobots, transform and roll out," Optimus ordered, and a minute later, his team had jumped into their vehicle modes and began racing to the village closest.
In the Bright lands the heat would've been deadly to any human that required water to survive.
The yellow mech brought up the rear as the Autobot troopers and mining equipment followed.
"Wooo... this heat's hotter than the sun on Velocitron." The red crane said feeling warm under the hood.
"This might be a good time to think of a weather controlling device to help the citizens survive better." The Green Cybertronian-backhoe suggested.
"Now yer talking Hoist. Just keep talking about things to build and we'll be there before we'll know it." The Yellow dump truck said, feeling better with the intense heat pouring down on them.
"Yeah, let's get that Energon processed and packed before the intense heat makes it detonate." Wedge said as he and his team with the miners poured more into their speed, wanting to reach it in time.
"Then I guess it's time to play some sweet tunes while on the race." Blaster suddenly said, driving by the four builders. the speakers on his Alt. Mode began playing a song native to the galaxy loudly as raced through with the excavators.
More of the Autobot soldiers who were with the group to protect the village got off as they took defensive positions with clone squads. two bots for a squadron of clone troopers. Springer oversaw the exiting of their force.
As they watched everything being done and looked out at the defensive forces, Optimus and his team could not help but wonder if maybe they were being a bit silly in worrying so much. There did not seem to be any problems so far, and while that would likely have meant they should be worried back home, here, they could not help but feel a little relived.
The Twi'leks seem very happy to see the Autobots and the Clone army again. Springer reported to Optimus, "Everything's ready, we were lucky that the natives alerted us before the Decepticons detected the energy signature of Energon with the use of the recon droids their allies have."
"Good. Let's try to keep up our current pace as best as possible. The sooner we've finished, the less likely the Decepticons will be able to get their hands on it," Optimus nodded.
At this point, Bumblebee noticed Slingshot was actually not too far off from where he was, and was pacing angrily.
"Oh boy," Bulkhead moaned.
"Should we be worried or getting popcorn," Mu joked.
"And the less likely Grimlock will be to get into a fight with Slingshot anytime soon," Waltfeld pointed out.
"Somehow, I think Grimlock's the least of that guy's worries," Athrun sighed.
"That kid is going to land himself in serious trouble if he doesn't watch himself." Bee muttered and continued to pace about. Angry at how he was so disrespectful of Optimus like that. Bee then took a quick breath to calm himself. Even as he turned to see Ironhide coming.
"Bee. You might be a commander now, but we're still on high alert. And... being here, on this planet again. This is personal for Slingshot." Ironhide said looking off in the direction of where the smallest of flyer went.
"Believe me, Ironhide, you don't know the half of it," Bumblebee informed the alternate version of his friend. "I'm just hoping he doesn't bring his baggage into the middle of a fight, because that's going to get himself, his team, and anyone else around him hurt, killed, or worse."
From where he was in the Strike Freedom, Kira could only silently sigh in concern as he also looked off to where Slingshot had disappeared too, knowing that Shinn was flying the Destiny in that area, and if Shinn had overheard what Silverbolt had called the flyer earlier, then Kira was definitely worried about what would happen if the two met.
In the village several Clone troopers remain on guard while others was sitting with the freedom fighters that recognized them and sat down to eat or talk about how they took back the capitol city of the planet.
"You might not believe it. But, compared to when we arrived, Slingshot's... actually mellowed out a bit." Ironhide revealed.
"Well, I hope he's mellowed out more than a little bit, because if he's not careful, he's gonna end up starting something with Shinn, especially since he's flying that way right now," Kira informed Ironhide.
Springer kept himself on high alert.
Some time later, in the Bright Lands, Wedge found something on the scanners and said, "Got a signature, must've be where the Energon is."
"Let's Excavate and process the Energon boys." Heavy Load joked; he went faster into the tunnels with his team. they transformed once they got near the entrance.
One of the Autobot troopers transformed just at the entrance of the cave, stopped, and commed in, "Attention, Cmdr. Springer."
"Go ahead soldier."
He and another trooper stood guard at the cave entrance, as he spoke, "We've reached the cave entrance to the Lylek's lair, we'll report if we need assistance with the creatures or any updates."
"Acknowledged."
The bot remained still at the entrance.
Seeing this immediately brought a frown to Waltfeld's face who then asked, "Anyone else think we found this cave a little too easily,"
"Kind of," Nicol admitted. "What do you want to do, sir?"
"Luna, go on ahead into the cave with them. Nicol, find an out-of-the-way location and disappear," Waltfeld ordered.
"Roger," both of the two replied, and a second later, the Impulse had split into its four fliers and flew in after the other Autobots while the Nero Blitz moved into position before vanishing from sight.
The five bots transformed when they got in a cave big enough for them to transform from the music loving Autobot's chest came the feline Mini-con, Steeljaw as he shook his metallic mane and sniffed the ground.
"Hey, looks like he's got the scent!" Blaster shouted seeing Steeljaw stopping and looking to a tunnel.
Lunamaria caught up just when Blaster had said that, and soon formed the Impulse in its Gundam mode once again. "That was quick," Lunamaria commented.
Steeljaw snarled as his mane stood up, "And something else is in there too."
"The Lyleks?" A soldier asked, his weapon primed, they may be small but the reports on these creatures made them seem as vicious as the Scraplets, the dangerous vermin of Cybertron…
Looking back to the miners with him Blaster said, "Keep it low, but keep it on."
The miners nodded as they held their tools ready. Heavy Load looked over and stated, "Whoa... wait a minute, Blaster. We can't go in there blasting, not with the Energon still being in its raw form."
"Then we'll be soft and meaningful like opera." Blaster said as a rhino-like Mini-con and the twins jumped down from his back and shoulders.
Ramhorn huffed as he got ready to use his horn. Steeljaw lead the way with Ramhorn behind him, Rewind and Eject on the entrance of the cavern while Blaster looked around and asked, "Where's that greenio with the suit that can blend in a song like beats of a drum?"
"If he's not still outside, he's probably in here with us by now," Lunamaria replied as she holstered the Impulse's beam rifle, eyes narrowed as she scanned for anything that would be a sign of trouble, or at least anything that she could recognize as a sign of trouble.
"Hey Springer, you got anything over there," Mu asked. "It's a little too quiet for my liking."
"Exactly." Springer said from the village, having the blade of his sword compact itself into the hilt before stowing it away, "The Decepticons may be trying to save Energon for themselves, but they'd launch an attack by now... Something's not right..."
"You can say that again. This whole thing reeks like that traitor Sentinel and his righthand Bots," Shinn agreed with Springer as he flew through the air.
"All the more reason to be ready to act at a moment's notice," Optimus pointed out.
"Urgh, no care about bad smells. Me, Grimlock bored and want to punch something already," Grimlock whined.
"Easy Grim," Wheeljack soothed. "Let's not tempt fate just yet, even if some of us are just as bored as you."
Springer looked over to Grimlock then spoke in Cybertronian, "{I know that you're both from different universes but... why do you talk like that?}"
He then rechanged his language output saying in comprehensible language, "I know that Shockwave got a hold of you and your team but... the changes he made to you shouldn't be enough to make you sound like that. Ultra Magnus said that it would be improbable that you and Optimus would ever see optic to optic."
Unaware to the bots they were spied on by Ahsoka who was going to offer the pilots something to eat when she heard this. She remained hidden as she listened.
"While he was being experimented on by old one-eye, Shockwave messed around with Grimlock's processor so that his strength would be further enhanced at the cost of some of his higher brain functions," Wheeljack explained.
"Me, Grimlock not dumb though. Just not able to think as well as before because of Shockwave," Grimlock elaborated in his own way, "Plus, Optimus' team help save Dinobots after we end up on Earth, so we owe them. Besides that, Optimus may not be as strong as Dinobots, but he is good leader. Better than stupid Sentinel."
"Aside from his inner circle of followers, any Bot is better than Sentinel Prime," Shinn pointed out, voicing his own opinion on the matter.
Springer took what they said, before he spoke, "It's not my place to say, I was brought into the Elite guard because I was told I had potential to serve. Many of the Autobots who joined were actually Elite guard graduates that Zeta "Sentinel" Prime trained. I too was experimented by Shockwave, made into a Triple changer because of how one of theirs personality split into three." Springer revealed, he looked down, "Zeta just left me behind thinking I was lost. But our Optimus and Ultra Magnus saved me."
He looked over to Grimlock, "If Zeta Prime was still around he'd think you were one of those 'Abominations' that he told us to be on the watch for."
He sighed as he sat down on a large piece of rock, muttering sadly, "That one recruit was right to follow his own path, but it led him to the enemy."
"Humph. Me, Grimlock like your Zeta Prime about as much as I like our Sentinel. As in not at all, and as someone me, Grimlock would want to smash. Me, Grimlock no abo...abomina...that thing you said. Me king," Grimlock huffed.
"Don't get too down on yourself, Springer. If you ask me, you actually came out of it pretty well. From what I hear, very few Autobots ever come back alive or in the best of shape after being held prisoner by this Shockwave guy, at least in our universe, save for Grimlock and his team, so the fact that you seem to be no worse for wear is actually pretty impressive," Mu tried to reassure Springer.
"That's because, like Bumblebee became Optimus' trustee, I was Ultra Magnus'. He trained me to overcome what Shockwave put me through-" Springer said, before he stopped and narrowed his eyes to zoom in, "On your rear, look to the closest moon of this planet."
Mu instantly did as say along with Wheeljack, and neither of them liked what they saw, A ship that resembled the Nemesis, but it was flanked by two smaller ships that looked almost like half-circles with wings sticking out from both sides.
"Unless those are native creatures to this universe, I'm guessing those are the Separatists and the Decepticons, right," Mu asked, seeing what he could.
"Even if they aren't, they sure don't look too friendly," Wheeljack pointed out.
"That's the Titan, Obsidian and Strika's personal battleship that was sent after the Ark when we left Cybertron to find the Allspark. On either side are the Separatist Frigates." Springer explained as the Titan remained in orbit while what appeared to be smaller ships were exiting from the frigates as several jets were seen flying from the Titan.
"This is Springer to all units, the Titan's been spotted off the orbit of the closest moon from Ryloth and are beginning to send troops to secure Energon, All forces prepare for combat." Springer said, getting the Clones out of their sleep or Jedi to rush over to the Commander's second.
Looking over at Wheeljack, he ordered, "You get the people evacuated to the underground section of their village while I and the Aerialbots delay them."
He transformed into a green and yellow version of a Jedi Starfighter with a ring and boosters around it's frame before flying to fight the army. He later joined by the Aerialbots who began firing at the Separatist flyer droids and Decepticon seekers.
Hey! I'm a Wrecker, not a Rescue Bot!" Wheeljack shouted in retort, but Springer was already long gone, much to his slight ire.
"You'll have plenty of time to wreck something later Jackie," Bulkhead assured his friend.
"Fine," Wheeljack conceded. He then heard the sound of some familiar thrusters and smirked as he said, "Looks like I may have to be a bit more worried about having something to wreck in a minute."
Just seconds behind Springer and the Aerialbots was the Strike Freedom Gundam, with the Infinite Justice and Destiny Gundams right behind it, and the second he was in range, Kira switched his Gundams arms into blaster mode, primed the rest of his Gundam's weapons, and unleashed a full burst of energy blasts from every single one of the blue-winged Gundam's arsenal of guns. This was quickly followed by a blast from the shoulder cannons and arm blasters of the Infinite Justice and the Destiny's beam cannon, all of which lit up the sky in a blaze of glory as they destroyed a number of Separatist Vulture Droids and Decepticon seekers instantly.
Seeing this unfold prompted Optimus into action as well, and a moment later, he had activated his jet pack and taken to the skies as well, ready to battle alongside his comrades and allies.
One of the Decepticon Seekers saw this and cried out, "It's Optimus Prime!"
"Fall back! Vulture droids provide cover!" Another ordered as they began flying away, except for the Vulture droids who were not programmed with fear as they fired at the Prime.
Slingshot, however, shouted, fury in his voice, "I don't think so, you murderers!"
"What the hell?! What does that guy think he's doing," Shinn demanded, and he immediately redirected the Destiny to chase after Slingshot. "Hey, Slingshot, back off! They're already retreating, and if you chase after them like this, you're gonna get yourself cut off from the rest of the team!"
Once Optimus was close enough, he reached back and pulled out a mini gun that he immediately used to fire on the Vulture droids while Kira and Athrun just fired their machines' arm blasters or utilized their other weapons.
"Get off my aft, human! This is personal." Slingshot shouted as he kept firing, sent a few rockets after the cons before he transformed, shifting his arms to be Nucleon blaster rifle and his own personal default blaster, anger in his eyes as he kept firing at the Fleeing seekers and vulture droids, using his reserves to keep himself propelled in the air.
Skydive, seeing this flew to his best friend and said, "Listen to him, Slingshot. They may deserve it but look at yourself. Do you really want to be like them?"
Slingshot anger slowly became one of shock as he saw how he had acted, "But they...!"
"I know buddy, but we need to remember our job is to protect." Skydive said smiling assuring his friend the justice the people deserved.
"Hothead," Shinn grumbled as he turned the Destiny back to rejoin the others.
"Like you're one to talk," Athrun quipped from his Gundam, "I seem to recall a certain Gundam pilot getting a little too confident in himself and flying too far out during one battle in the last war."
"Okay, that was totally different," Shinn protested. "I was getting hit from all sides and they were driving me away before I realized what they were doing."
"And yet you still didn't try to get back once you did realize it," Athrun pointed out.
"Ah shut up," Shinn huffed.
"Aerialbots let's take down the last of the droids before they get too close to shoot them down." Silverbolt ordered as he and his team flew after the remaining droids, firing at their thrusters out before flying in close and kicking them away from the Twi'lek village.
After seeing the remaining Decepticons retreating, the townsfolks cheered.
"Anyone else feel like that was too easy," Mu suddenly asked.
"Yeah. They ran away like little cowards too quickly, and I never got to punch any of them," Grimlock agreed with a sad voice, the latter part drawing some chuckles from his teammates.
Springer landed as he said, "It's like what Ironhide said, they got scared seeing Optimus. and of course, you Grimlock, given your reputation."
"Humph. Even stupid Vehicons back home brave enough to at least try and fight Grimlock," Grimlock complained.
"I'm pretty sure that's more on stupidity than bravery, big guy," Athrun argued. "Still, even if that is the case, it was still too easy. The Decepticons back home never cut and ran when certain soldiers showed up, Optimus or otherwise. Something just doesn't feel right."
Springer began walking to the Jedi as he said, "Unlike other commanders, Obsidian taught his troops to be less expendable and more dependable."
"Doesn't mean that we should let our guard down. There's no way it's ever this easy," Mu pointed out, all the while wondering how Springer and the others would react when they saw Grimlock change into. What Master Yoda said comes to Athrun's mind as Cham was speaking with Springer to how to appropriately build defenses as the majority of the townsfolk came out of the underground shelter. With the information that they were here to find Energon and it's in a place that was too dangerous for Twi'leks.
"Let's try not to dwell on it for too long. We might miss something that's actually important if we do after all," Athrun said to the others as he brought his machine in for a landing.
Everyone just shrugged at that, and Shinn then said, "Is anyone else kinda bothered how no one seemed to be all that stunned by the light show that Kira, Athrun, and I used earlier?"
"They are in the middle of a war right now, kid, and they've got ships with light speed capabilities and human sized beam sabers. I don't think what you three did was all that noteworthy to them," Mu pointed out.
"If it was, they sure did a good job of hiding it, so we might be getting a few questions after we get down there," Kira pointed out.
They gathered with the on-planet leader. Cham Syndulla approached as he said, "Thank you again, Autobots. Your bravery saved my people again."
Mace Windu nodded, "I agree, the capabilities of your Droid Suits are most impressive, but the battle was too easy. Especially since they attacked with more when the Deceptions attacked Coruscant."
It was a time this point that the Gundams finally landed and then powered down their Phase Shift armor, returning to the dull grey color they had before. With their machines now shut down, Kira, Athrun, and Shinn each climbed out of their Gundams before approaching the two.
"For the record, and with all due respect, Master Windu, they're called 'mobile' suits, not droid suits. But we prefer the term 'Gundam' in the case of our machines," Kira corrected as he retracted his visor into his helmet before nodding to Cham and introducing himself and his friends.
"Of course." Mace Windu said as a blue Twi'lek, slightly older than Cham.
He whispered something to Cham, his face slightly alarmed. Cham turned to his friend, equally alarmed, "What do you mean something tore through the underground blast doors?"
Looking back to where it was supposed to be, Cham turned to his comrade.
"Gobi, show us." Cham requested as the Twi'lek nodded and led Cham into the shelter.
"I knew this was too easy," Mu groused as he turned to take the Star Force Strike underground somehow.
"Relax. Waltfeld had a hunch about this, too, hence the reason why we've got a little underground surprise of our own waiting for whatever is down there," Kira reassured the older man with a small smirk of knowing.
The entrance was too small for any mobile suit to get underground in the village, so they'd have to go by foot. When they arrived, Cham saw one of the blast doors being torn and ripped open while the other on the other side was slammed through by something large. The tracks weren't anything that a Cybertronian or a creature native to his planet would have, but they were large. One set of tracks looked like it belonged to a canine, another a reptilian dragging its body, a set that resembles an ape, and finally two feet that looked dinosaur like dragging something.
Seeing this made Obi-wan say, "Oh dear..."
"That doesn't really inspire confidence, Obi-wan. Why're we saying oh dear," Bulkhead asked, slightly nervous.
"Because the Horrorcons were here and they're using the underground passages to get to where they wanted." Ironhide's voice answered coming from outside as they turned to see what they assume to be Ironhide's Holo-form.
"Horrorcons? Please tell me that's not like this universe's version of Terrorcons," Wheeljack begged. Gaining attention of everyone to him.
"For those of us who're unclear as to what you guys are talking about," Shinn requested.
"Zombie Transformers," Bumblebee replied. Surprising the humans who never heard of a thing.
"...robotic zombies? That's actually a thing," Mu asked incredulously.
Springer's holo-form appeared, military suit but had swords holstered at his sides, looking at the tracks, "The Horrorcons are a group of Cybertronians who had been created with organic Alternate forms compared to basic Cybertronians. These five joined the Decepticons because they believed in Megatron's words of a free and just Cybertron where all are equal no matter what was different about them. Each member has an ability that no one had heard of, especially their leader."
Getting to his feet he turned to their guests, eyes glowed and showed a scaled hologram of each member. It showed a metallic bat-like creature before it transformed into a male with wings shrunk down and hanging out from his back, Springer spoke, "This is Mindwipe, leader of the Horrorcons, a beast-flyer that is able to control other Cybertronians or mechanical beings by use of optic contact. Perceptor thinks it's a specific signal beam from his eyes instead of the powers of darkness that the con professes to have."
The hologram shifted to a metallic crocodile-like creature snapping it's jaws before shifting into a male-like body that has claws and sharp teeth despite the humanoid-head, "Skullcruncher, a belly dragging creature that is able to go unnoticed while in the liquid bodies until he strikes. He has a habit of grinding his dentures against each other."
It was then replaced with a mechanical wolf-like creature running briefly before howling to the heavens before shifting to a male-like body with a blaster and his tail became sword-like, "Weirdwolf, the fastest of them in their... beast modes. He almost as insane as the Insecticon Kickback and has the unique ability of accelerated healing with him being good at tracking in par with Steeljaw."
Then in his place was a mechanical gorilla-like creature mutely roaring, pounding his fists against his oversized chest, before becoming a male-like Cybertronian, "Apeface: the muscle. He has the strength to bend the hardest known metal on Cybertron while in Beast mode, he's also able to force bots to do what he wants because of his strength and his rather psychological tactics, even though he sounds de-evolved. Though some think his de-volved speech is an act."
Then changed it to look similar to a certain Titan that many transformers remember from the day of the Great Exodus, snarling motion before shifting into another bruiser of a mech with draconic like fangs and a visor over his face, he had a pair of blasters in his hands, "And finally Snapdragon, he's the laziest and hardest of the Horrorcons to deal with, especially when he gets... upset. The only one not afraid to wake him up is Apeface because of how they've known each other the longest."
He then showed a figure that some of the Pilots and Autobots from Earth knew from their civil war, a certain female who wields a giant missile launcher, but her armor appear to be a mixture of the one they know and some aquatic features to it as she had a swimming motion, "A sixth member of their group and possibly the worse to any mech is Thunderblast, her ability to swim in liquid depths unachievable by other Cybertronians which included Energon, made her ability to sing causes mechs to serve at her beckon call hard to deal with."
"Yikes," Mu muttered, hearing this, especially this universe's version of Thunderblast.
"Suddenly, I'm kinda starting to miss our version of Thunderblast, assuming she really is as dangerous as she sounds in this universe," Shinn muttered, "Just like Megatron to recruit these psychos."
Springer became more uncomfortable as he revealed, " It's because they owe him when they were freed."
"Freed from what? Prison? An Asylum?" Shinn asked, still angered.
Springer shook his head and had an intense silence about it all… Receiving a nod from Ironhide, he told them, "From Zeta's Zoo…"
The Gundam Pilots, and Jedi allies that had not heard of this, turned asking, "What?"
(Duh, Duh, Duh! Now isn't that an interesting development? The Bots and pilots get to know their new friends. Mu and Nicol know more about the Clone army serving in the Republic. Luna and Ahsoka is learning more about each other and then some. And Kira learns about how hyperspace technology is made possible.
And much later they also got the basic rundown on my Story's version of the "horrorcons", I mean why not make all five of the Decepticon's future headmasters, and Thunderblast (Who was written to be a Syren before she was caught in her Cybertron-self's history) be called that?
What does Springer mean by a "Zoo"? Why was he uncomfortable in revealing this to his allies about a former Prime? And why did Zeta have such a thing in the first place? Find out that and more in the next chapter of Star Wars: The Transformers.)
