2012.
Me, Mio and Shinji would've been living together in critical space for 2 years now. In that time, Mio and Shinji officially became a couple.
*1ST FLASHBACK*
"Hey Scara, I did it! Mio said yes!" Shinji said delightfully.
"Congratulations Shin, I knew you had it in you. Now, look after her, treat her like she's the most precious thing on earth and make sure she's protected." I replied with a smile.
"I will do all of that, I promise." Shinji said with conviction.
I laughed a little.
"I'm not the one you should be saying that promise to." I said, teasing him.
"Fair point." Shinji replied.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
Mio made Shinji into a spirit that can control lightning.
*2ND FLASHBACK*
"Are you sure you want to be like me and Scara, honey?" Mio said, concerned.
"I'm damn sure. If I can protect you, I'll happily accept that power." Shinji replied with conviction.
Mio then put a refined yellow Sephira crystal into Shinji's hand, the crystal merging with his heart once he put the crystal to his chest.
"Ahhhh!" Shinji shouted in pain.
"It's gonna hurt for a bit Shin, but after about 30 seconds, you'll be fine." I said, reassuring him.
30 seconds then passed, and he was fine.
"Woah.. so I'm now a spirit like the two of you?" Shinji asked with curiosity.
"Yes Shin, and because you're now like us, your aging is at least slowed down, if not halted." Mio said, smiling.
"In other words, I can't die from natural causes?" Shinji asked.
"Yes." I replied.
"That's cool... Now that I think about it, I can live with Mio a lot longer now with this power." Shinji said a smile.
"Yeah... we're gonna be together forever, Shin." Mio chimed with a heavy blush.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
I discovered that most of my angel's abilities are more tactical/support based and that most of my demon king's abilities are more lethal-based during some training.
*3RD FLASHBACK*
"So Excelsus has a lot of tactical powers.. let's see what other cool abilities I have." I said, taking to a space a bit away from the house.
"Oracle." I recited, stabbing my blade into the ground before a ping was discharged from the blade, spreading out in every direction and it marked Mio and Shinji in a red outline.
"Woah... so if anyone has a heat signature, I can detect and see their outlines no matter what.. that's gonna be handy for sure." I said, smiling at the find.
"Scara, there's a red outline on me for some reason." Mio said, confused.
"Oh, that's my bad. I was testing Oracle and apparently it even detects spirits like us. My angel seems to be a tactical or support type." I said, smiling at Mio.
"Ahhh, now that makes sense. It's somewhat similar to my 'Ain Soph.' Mio chimed.
"I know 2 of my abilities so far: 'Eon' and 'Oracle'. I feel like I have so many more to discover." I said with conviction.
"You'll remember them naturally. As spirits, we gradually process our angel and abilities, as well as what our limits are." Mio said, patting my shoulder.
"You're right. Thank you for your philosophy, Spirit of Origin." I said as me and Mio both laughed.
"Being called the 'Spirit of Origin' just sounds as if I'm a queen or something." Mio jested.
"Hey guys! What do you want for dinner tonight?" Shinji asked.
"Curry." Me and Mio said in unison before we looked at each other as if we were confused.
Shinji then started laughing and both me and Mio followed suit.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
And since making Shinji into a spirit, Mio has been refining Sephira crystals to give to the girls we all know and love.
*4TH FLASHBACK*
"What are you doing there Mio?" Shinji asked as I followed into her room behind him.
"I'm refining these Sephira crystals so that they're compatible with humans so that when we all settle down, I can instill these into young women." Mio explained diligently.
"Why women specifically?" I asked, pretending not to know.
"Shinji, cover your ears a second, would you hun?" Mio asked.
"Sure thing." Shinji said, covering his ears as Mio then whispered into my ear.
"I'm doing this so that mine and Shin's future child can intake spirit power bit by bit while experiencing the life of a human." Mio whispered to me.
"Now that, is brilliant thinking, even though I pretty much knew why she was making those crystals." I thought to myself.
Shinji then uncovered his ears as he leaned beside Mio, his head on her shoulder as she continued to refine the crystals.
"So these.. women, will be spirits of justice?" I asked Mio with curiosity.
"Yes, they'll fight against the unjust forces of DEM because DEM threatens our way of life, especially Westcott." Mio replied.
"You're right about that... no matter how long it takes, I will make sure DEM is brought down." I said with conviction.
"Less time thinking about DEM, more time relaxing you guys." Shinji said, worried about me and Mio.
I chuckled a little before speaking again.
"Alright Shin." I said, patting his back gently before leaving the 2 of them in peace.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
Now it was 2012, around the time that Nia Honjo, codename "Sister" would become a spirit with Rasiel and Bealzebub respectively.
"So we're putting your plan into action, Mio?" I asked with curiosity.
"Yes, it's time to begin giving out these crystals. They're fully refined, so they're guaranteed to be compatible, which is good." Mio answered with conviction.
"The revolution against DEM begins.. I'm assuming you're giving the crystals to the women yourself?" I asked.
"Yes. I'll disguise myself as something or someone else while I do it. Don't want DEM tailing me." Mio said assertively.
"You have a fair point." I replied.
"Alright, I'll see you later Scara. You too honey." Mio said with a smile on her face.
"See you later!" Shinji replied.
"See you soon." I replied.
4 hours would pass and me and Shinji would be talking about how everything came to be.
"Hey Scara? Why is it that despite being happy that you see me and Mio together, whenever we talk about your love life, your smile fades away?" Shinji asked in a concerned tone.
"To tell you the truth Shinji, my heart is split into 2. Before I saved you and Mio from DEM, I was in love with someone I knew for a long time. I worked hard to try and get her attention but when I finally said the words I wanted to say to her.. she just.. rejected me instantly." I replied with a melancholic tone, my smile fading away.
"I have a feeling that isn't all. There's more to it, as if, something else added to that rejection." Shinji said with a slight frown.
I sighed deeply before opening my mouth to speak again.
"A couple of days later, I witnessed her ask out a blonde dude who was a movie actor. He was famous and had money. From that moment, my heart just seized up.. it felt tight and knowing that I'd never be able to win her heart, it just.. 'cracked' into two seperate pieces. Ever since then, whenever the topic of love came up, I'd just be the wingman for whoever that was trying to get their feelings across.." I said before stopping mid sentence as I did not feel comfortable with explaining the rest.
"Oh Scara.. that's 1 severe case of heartbreak. But.. it seems that case of heartbreak made you grow up to be a good guy. I mean, you didn't let it make you hate love as a whole, you saved me and Mio and that itself is proof that there's still hope that you can love someone again." Shinji said with sympathy, giving me a bro-hug as I accepted his embrace.
"I needed that... especially after everything that's happened. Shinji.. your son is gonna be such a player, yet, he's gonna be the son that cares about everyone he knows. I'm glad you and Mio got together.." I thought to myself as I remained in Shinji's embrace for a while.
As I let go of Shinji...
*WOOOOOOAAAAAAAMMMMM*
"Hmm?"
"The spacial quake alarm.. that must mean Mio must've completed her goal." Shinji theorised.
"Thankfully, this house is within critical space, meaning it won't be effected. I think." I said, unsure.
"Mio must've gave Nia the crystal containing Rasiel. If I remember rightly, Nia's spacial quake is classed as AA. What I'm more concerned about though, is that Future Entry bullshit that Nia has. Although she doesn't use it much in the show because of Westcott stealing her Qlipha crystal during Season 4, I still need to be aware of the dangers it can pose." I thought to myself.
After the spacial quake alarm quietened down, Mio would return home as a phantom looking thing before going back to her original form.
"Welcome back Mio." I said with a smile.
"Hello hun." Shinji said with love.
"Hi Shin, Hi Scara. What's for dinner tonight?" Mio asked.
"Sweet and-" I stopped mid-sentence.
"Sour pork." Shinji replied as he got ready to cook.
A/N: So Nia Honjo has now become "Sister",
Shinji's become a spirit, Mio refined the crystals much earlier and Scara is discovering more of his abilities with his angel.
