(Disruption and Chaos Arc)
19th of November, 2013.
It's been 4 months since I left the Takamiya household. During those 4 months, I've been taking out the grunts of DEM, hindering their plans.
It was the day of my birthday but I didn't feel like celebrating. Though.. there was one thing I wanted to do to satisfy myself for this one day...
"Hmm... I have an idea. This better be worth it." I thought to myself before shifting into the neighboring world.
Once there, I stood still, let all of my reiryoku go to the centre of my body and got ready to make an appearance in DEM's England sector via spatial quake.
When I made the spatial quake happen by letting my reiryoku shoot outward, I may have released more megatons of TNT than a B83 nuclear bomb, because when I say this spatial quake flattened almost half of the country, I mean it flattened almost half of the country.
I stood there amongst the wreckage after the spatial quake, seeing tilted buildings, destroyed powerlines, the works.
I then saw DEM agents stumbling across the destroyed area as they looked severely injured by what I had done. I then took the chance to mercy kill any DEM member I came across with Excelsus, putting them out of their misery.
"Oh Westcott, I hope you'll like what I've done here if you come back sometime." I said to myself in sadistic tone.
I really couldn't help but have a sadistic motive to all of this. I kept on mercy killing anyone that had any relation to DEM and I knew it'd catch Westcott's attention.
I then heard helicopters arrive.
"Oh? That's quite the response time. Too bad they won't be able to fix this place for a while. Suppose I better entertain them." I said to myself, looking at the amount of firepower they brought.
"Hearth." I recited, making my dark red katana appear.
"Now then. Who wants some?!"
With that, the gruesome battle began. I would be lying if I said I struggled.
I would begin to decapitate those who were with DEM, making sure they were dead for definite. The amount of blood I was spilling was astronomical.
"He's a monster!" One agent exclaimed.
"Call for backup!" Another agent cried.
The fear I was carving into those that were still alive was undeniable, as they were witnessing me sever heads from their comrades. The horror of it all was enough to traumatise people for life.
"Cataclysm." I recited, as I made Hearth morph into any small object I imagined. In this case, it was a laptop looking device.
I then used said laptop to then use some of my somewhat extensive variety of offensive powers. Yep, I'm beginning to think I'm playing Modern Warfare 2 now.
"Hellfire." I recited as I now summoned a predator missile from the sky as it then crashed down into the ground, exploding as it killed several DEM agents at once.
"What the fuck?!" A DEM agent shrieked.
"Yep, this is gonna be a massacre now. Because I can recreate the laptop you use in Modern Warfare 2 to call in killstreaks, I can utilise things like an AC130, an Apache helicopter, Harrier jets and so fourth... this'll be fun." I thought to myself as I showed a smirk on my face.
"I'd recommend you start running if you want to live! You dogs don't stand a chance!" I shouted, wondering if they'd take my advice.
With my power being too much for them to handle, the DEM agents evacuated and retreated, thus meaning I've won this fight.
"Well, looks like I won't be unleashing my full library yet." I said to myself with a hint of disappointment, tucking away Hearth whilst still holding Excelsus, mercy killing the wounded.
This place looked like a battlefront; the destroyed terrain, the lifeless bodies, the smoke clouding around the area, the blood flooding the floors. It was horrific. What was more horrifying however, was the fact I'm the one that caused all of this. It must of been all that built up anger and hate from my heart being shattered but nonetheless, the fact that I, a singular person caused this much death and destruction was just... you people can imagine it for yourselves.
"Killing someone makes said killer grow up a lot. Killing several hundreds of people however.. well, I feel like I've grown a few generations of people." I thought to myself as I left the area by phasing to the neighbouring world once more to then appear once more in Japan through a silent manifestation.
A week had passed since the England massacre. Because the aftermath of it attracted DEM, I roamed the streets of Tengu City peacefully.
I went to a restaurant to have curry and rice for dinner, reflecting upon what I had done.
"I' really do feel like I've grown up by several generations. Not only that, but beheading people is the most brutal thing I've ever done.. sure, it's justified because it's DEM, but... even so, am I really that heartless?"
"Yes, I was. I became heartless after 'she' and the entire world in my previous life rejected me. Sympathy doesn't exist in me now."
I began to eat with all of those thoughts in mind, remembering back to the time I spent with Mio and Shinji. If only I could use Mukuro's angel right now but alas, I can't. As a result, I could never savour the taste of the curry on my plate, my taste buds just becoming so numb from all the thinking I was doing.
"With Mio and Shinji now solidified as a couple and alive, I'll need to just keep disrupting DEM in any way I can. Next time, I'll take a more tactical approach and-"
"Ahh.. a nice place to relax while I sketch Silver Bullet."
That sentence snapped me out of my thoughts and I knew that voice I heard from anywhere. Especially with them mentioning "Silver Bullet" which is the manga that is drawn by..
Nia Honjo. Codename: Sister.
"What the hell?! This is way too early to be in the same place as her of all people!" I thought to myself, astonished at the fact that she's here of all places. My reaction actually made some of my reiryoku leak from my body, which Nia then sensed.
"Why do I feel spiritual energy here of all places..? Is there another spirit nearby?" Nia thought to herself as she scanned the room.
With Nia's reaction, I decided that it was time to go. I paid my bill, stood up and walked to the door to leave, however...
"You! Wait a minute!" Nia shouted.
I turned around, seeing Nia walk up to me.
"What is it? I don't even know you." I said harshly.
"You're a spirit, aren't you?" Nia asked me with a frown.
My reaction went from annoyed to surprised but then back to the poker face I normally have.
"Rasiel." I said to Nia with clarity as I knew her angel knows everything about who she looks into. She must have looked into everyone in this room to figure out I was a spirit.
"..." Nia couldn't speak, her face sweating bullets at the mention of her angel. I think it was due to me actually knowing what her Angel was without even asking.
We continued to stare at one another for a short time before I took her around the back of the building, where noone else can hear.
Once there, I initiated the conversation.
"About your inquiry, yes, I'm a spirit. Just like you." I said to her bluntly.
"That's cool but also kinda ominous." Nia replied with a hint of hatred.
"Hey, do you hate society by chance?" I asked with curiosity.
"What makes you ask that?" Nia asked back.
"Well, your tone of voice sounds like you've been hurt, almost as if you had been betrayed or something like that." I explained with fervour.
"Yes and no. That's all you'll get from me." Nia replied sharply.
"Alright, well, I'd suggest you be careful walking alone. Because I have a feeling someone is out to find you." I said to her with a serious tone.
"Why would I listen to a stranger who so happens to be a male spirit?" Nia asked with a hint of annoyance.
"Just take my word for it. It'll make things easier for us both." I replied sharply.
"Fine, I won't argue. What's your name boy?" Nia asked, as if she was gathering information for someone else.
"Scara Tojo." I stated.
"Nia Honjo." Nia stated.
"Nia Honjo huh..? Sounds like a manga artist type of name." I said, acting like I don't know she already does manga illustrations.
"Dude, I actually want to draw and write manga. More over, why would you assume my name would have anything to do with manga?" Nia asked with curiosity.
"I don't know, just sounds like a name you'd hear in the media industry." I replied, half truthing what I actually knew.
"I see. Well, I need to get back to illustrating my manga volume. I assume you'll be heading home?" Nia asked.
"Yeah.. something like that." I replied vaguely, knowing there's no "home" for me now. Not after what I did in England.
"Alright, well I'll see you around sometime, Tojo." Nia said with a voice lighter than her usual one.
"Maybe." I said as I walked away, leaving Nia to her own devices as let's be frank, I don't care about her all that much. At least, not for right now anyways.
A/N: You're a brave one for reading the gory stuff in the chapter. As a heads up, there will be more of it in future chapters along with other things that may be sensitive. Discretion is advised.
Scara has had his 2nd encounter with DEM and he has met Nia Honjo, the 2nd spirit through accidental means.
Thank you for reading!
Next time: Aftermath. - This next chapter will be shorter than normal.
