Calamity
She had to admit that riding Frosta 's strange creature was extremely comfortable, though not as comfortable as Sea Flash, her undersea mount. The problem was that they didn't know how to find the kidnappers... and anyone else anyone. However, Frosta seemed to have a plan... She seemed to be fighting with herself until she finally spoke to her friend.
„Shogi , do you remember Nightgale ... That woman we saw in the underground...„
Her strange creature barked happily, but she asked.
„Who is Nightgale? I've never heard about her."
Frosta thought for a moment about what to say…. Until she finally explained.
„I thought she was a friend...„ her voice was full of bitterness...
Aaravos hovered next to her, clearly amused. He irritated her. But she couldn't even answer him in any way, which only enraged her even more.
„What a great example of heroism! The inhabitants of this planet are incredibly brave and stupid at the same time. From the point of view of natural selection, this is truly absurd... or not... After all, sacrificing individuals to save the entire population is one of the basic survival strategies of all species. I heard that this one of them... That She-Ra, has a great tendency to make sacrifices. This is probably one of the basic elements of her identity. Well, she might have to make some sacrifices to beat what's coming, although that would be a poor trade-off in my opinion. The little brother will eat at most a hundred people, maybe a bit more, but She-Ra is priceless, especially considering our plans." explained the star Saihe in the tone of a scholar, lying in the air with his hands behind his head. She shot him an angry look that almost caused her to trip. Aaravos smiled at her and added.
„You probably really regret that you can't answer me, but believe me, I regret it very much too. The only person I can communicate with is Claudia. A very talented girl, but with a very simple personality. It's hard to have intelligent conversations with her like it is with you or your mother. Perhaps you will meet someday. You would like her, you would get along well, although unfortunately she has had a boyfriend for some time, but it is not a problem that you could not solve." he laughed briefly.
„Shut up!" she drawled shortly.
„Who are you talking to?" Lonnie looked at her angrily, and unfortunately she couldn't explain what she was doing. In moments like these, she sincerely regretted performing the ritual and contacting the star Saihe . He knew way too much about her and she knew next to nothing about him. This was obviously dangerous.
The city was completely deserted and no one was stopping them. They heard an announcement from Eti. Lonnie called it a bluff, but she wasn't so sure. She had heard about their family... She had also heard about what Catra had done when she was furious, although at that time her consciousness was just waking up and she remembered almost nothing from that period... But she understood the scout. She was willing to do almost anything for Scarlet...
They ran in from the alley and she saw her mother, shrouded in darkness, slowly and majestically walking towards a group of several people who looked like bandits, led by Lady Ka. She saw Itel and Entrapta near the wall , she had no idea where the inventor came from, but it could have ended very badly for her.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw two women and a goat-like creature running towards her in a side street. One of them was Frosta, and the other unknown person was probably Mermista, she know how sea princess look like. This was something she hadn't expected at all, the two elemental princesses were a difficult enemy, but she was truly afraid of Shogot . She didn't know how much Frosta controlled him, but she didn't want to be devoured by the ancient monster. So when she saw that the ruler of Salinea was trying to throw a stream of water at her, she felt the spell on her, hoping that the Sea Princess would attack Shogoth ...
But then she heard a gunshot and Frosta ended up towards them…
Frosta's plan worked, although she still had the feeling that she hadn't told her everything, but they could talk about it later. Now they saw their target, two women, one of whom she had met a few times before, so she knew her name was Lonnie, but she didn't recognize the redhead. Then she will ask her name. She had already learned the value of having a waterskin with her, so she was never defenseless. However, she could now use water from the Brightmoon sewage system; during the war, she discovered that the sewage system in every city was equally dirty. Now, however, it needed a lot of water power… strange sentence…
However, when she summoned water, the red-haired woman noticed her and cast some kind of spell on her. She suddenly felt strange, as if something very bad was coming for her. She remembered how she was chipped , and now it was similar... She was again surrounded by enemies with the faces of friends who wanted to take away her freedom and power over her own body and mind. He won't let this happen again!
She saw movement next to her… one of them approached her from behind. She looked like Frosta, but she wasn't Frosta, not anymore, just someone who had stolen her body and now wanted to do the same to her! She had to defend herself! She wrapped water around the creature and threw it as far as she could. As the creature with Frosta's face was grabbed by her water, it looked towards her with surprise evident on its stolen features. She didn't expect that her trick would be discovered, but she would not allow herself to be enslaved... Never more
Itel was already feeling better. The pain in his shoulder was gone, except for the burning sensation in the burned area. The sedatives were wearing off, thanks in part to the help of that strange purple-haired woman, was she Wrongdak's old friend? She also loosened her bonds. She did n't understand why she did it, she had previously treated the Lord Admiral in a friendly manner, apparently she didn't know the truth about this man, like everyone else... She didn't show that she was conscious, that was her only advantage. Now she realized how stupid she had been by attacking Antares . She was no match for him. Now she was in captivity of Lady Ka. At first she wanted to act brave and pretend that she didn't want her friends to save her, but one look at the smiling Lady Ka made her silently pray to all the gods for someone to save her. She was aware that nothing would be done to her just because of the purple-haired woman's presence, otherwise she would have screamed in pain. A little comfort entered her heart when she heard Eti's threat, even though it enraged Lady Ka. However, she was afraid that Eti would ultimately fulfill her threat, bringing death to all of them. Still, despite all the anger hidden in her heart, she didn't want Eti to do this.
Rescue came from an unexpected direction. She saw a shadow moving towards them, a swirling darkness emanating Terror. She once treated Shadow Weaver with contempt, seeing her as nothing more than an old, bitter woman. This didn't change either after they saved Eti thanks to her or after she learned her true identity. However, seeing is believing. Now she finally understood who the Dark Sorcerer was. And she shuddered. Surprisingly, Lady Ka wasn't bothered by the sight of the Mistress of Shadows, although perhaps that shouldn't have surprised her since she knew Etii. When she saw the woman raise the gun, she freed her hands from the restraints and jumped. She felt pain in her arm and Entrapta screamed horribly
Frosta was surprised that Mermista was throwing her with her water jets. She saw fear and anger in her friend's eyes. She had no idea what had happened to her, perhaps it was the spell cast by Nightgale. "What had she done to her" she thought as she rolled along the way. The landing was quite successful, fortunately she was athletic and had often practiced safe falls from the backs of mountain chamois and oxen . As she was getting up she heard a gunshot so she jumped to her feet and looked around. On one side was a scared Entrapta and a woman who worked for Catra's dad, she think her name was Lady Ka, along with a few thug-looking subordinates, and some Saihe girl holding her arm, but on the other side, was Her… She didn't see Shadow Weaver very often, and she never spoke to her. She also never saw her use magic. Now she saw a dark sorceress shrouded in shadows, preparing to cast a spell. She remembered that it was because of Entrapta that she once lost her position... She definitely wanted to put some dark curse on her! Without thinking, she jumped ahead.
She was arrogant again. Once again she was carried away by the feeling of power, of might pulsing through her veins. She thought that such a display would scare Lady Ka, who would leave the captured elf, but the woman showed her with one swipe of her finger how much the power of sorcery meant to her. In a sense, she understood her, she herself would have done the same. After all, the best way to deal with threats is to show others how little they mean to you... Yes. Eti was right. Lady Ka looked so much like her... In fact, she was now looking into a mirror, and it wasn't even crooked, just a little dirty. Yes, she looked at herself and the sight was… cathartic… Few have ever had the chance to look at themselves and understand who they really are… And also to annihilate themselves. Yes! She finally understood! This woman was to Eti what she was to Catra. If she kills her, he may also kill a part of himself that she hated so much . Perhaps then Eti will decide that she is not so bad after all. That she deserved forgiveness... She began to weave a spell... She spent those years on Carurystal not only drinking, she also learned a few things. Lady Ka was too absorbed by Itel to notice her casting the spell... When she finished the incantation, she threw dark power at the woman, but a girl stood in the path of the projectile of dark power. Was it Frosta? She wasn't sure, but she didn't have time to think about it because someone jumped on her back, pressing her to the ground. She felt the touch of sharp claws on her neck.
„If you move, I'll rip your throat out. "Catra said in a voice that echoed with years of true hatred. And then a hail of plasma bolts fell on the battlefield.
Eti jumped onto the roof and lay down on its edge and started aiming. Didn't Lady Ka remember that she was a shooter? Jantar made her this way on her father's orders, to be as murderous as her mother... No... She was supposed to be much more terrible... She was created from a line of two murderers, one worse than the other. But now she was grateful for the skills she had been given… they would now be necessary for her to save Itel. Rosie stood behind her, looking around warily. She was supposed to insure her in case Lady Ka turned out to be smarter than she seemed.
When she saw it through the Scope of the Sniper Rifle, the cold firestorm in her heart erupted into a conflagration. One movement of a finger was enough to destroy the head of the one who tormented her, who had mutilated her hand and who had left so many scars on her soul. It was with the greatest effort of will that she stopped herself from shooting the woman. She had to control herself, otherwise Itel would die...
Then Shadow Weaver came looking like she was a living darkness. She was grateful for this, because she suspected that the dark sorceress was risking a lot by drawing attention to herself with this show of power.
But then Lady Ka shot Itel.
„NO!" she screamed and shot at Lady Ka, but at the same time the woman in the half-mask dodged because Shadow Weaver threw a dark spell at her. The clone woman was covered anyway by a short girl dressed in blue, who fell to the ground, struck by dark magic. She ignored her because she had to find Itel. Fortunately, the Elf was alive and free, although she was wounded in the arm, but she summoned her solarian blade. However, Lady. Ka's soldiers started shooting at the fleeing girl. Itel was dodging, but one of the bullets was about to hit her. So she did what was necessary. First, she aimed at the Gnol with a laser rifle, aiming straight at his chest. She squeezed the trigger and a ball of burning plasma hit Lady Ka's henchman's chest, burning a smoking hole in it. Then she aimed it at an Elf and fired again, as she had been trained to do, between heartbeats. He was dead, another dead body, another life taken by her. She couldn't think about it. She had to fight and perhaps continue to kill, after all, she was a murderer. Then she took aim at another enemy, but when she aimed at the next one, Shirren in the brown trench coat, he looked at her and started shooting, so she had to jump away and lie on the roof. She heard numerous screams, many of them she recognized, one even seemed to belong to her sister, who was threatening to rip someone's throat out. Lonnie and Scarlet were here too, as well as Wrongdak. However, she heard shouts from the nearby rooftops, but Mrs. ka was not stupid at all. She looked around her. Four soldiers ran towards them. These were Lady Ka's Goons, armed with Horde electric batons and assault shields, and they wanted to take her alive. Let them try! She grabbed her Rifle and shot the first one several times. He dodged most of the shots except the last one, which hit him in the leg. He was yelling, but she didn't think he should complain. He was alive, and that couldn't be said of many of his companions. The two charged at Rosie, but she was already glowing. She hit the first one's shield, shattering it, then punched him in the jaw, cracking it until he spit out his teeth. She knocked the second one off the roof with a roundhouse kick. She was so beautiful when she broke other people's bones. She knocked the last one down with a few blows from the butt of her rifle. They didn't have time to rejoice in their victory, because the drone started shooting at them with an electric cannon and also fired several gas grenades. This was a bigger problem. She had a mask and goggles, but Rosie was unprotected. She pointed at the drone with her metal hand, and an energy bolt was fired from it, knocking the machine down.
„I didn't know I could do that." she muttered under her breath, but then a rainbow light flashed nearby and Rosie's eyes started to glow and the white"haired girl, her girlfriend, ran in that direction.
„NO!„ Nightgale screamed as she saw Frosta trying to shield Lady Ka from the spell cast by her mother. The girl fell to the ground and appeared to be dead. At this time, Eti started firing from the roof. She killed three soldiers, but missed Lady Ka.
„Cast the Spell!" Lonnie ordered her and he jumped into battle. A short armored warrior stood in front of Lonnie. She had heard of these beings, he was a dwarf or duergar, she didn't fully understand the differences between these beings. The warrior wielded a hammer, with electric sparks flying across its surface. He took the first blow on his armor and laughed loudly.
„Are you guys making fucking poles out of Adamant? But this planet is fucked up." he said, striking a sweeping blow with his weapon. Lonnie retreated under this violent attack. Meanwhile, she cast another spell on two thugs trying to get at Lonnie from behind. A wave of rainbow light shot out from her fingers, shocking the two attackers, causing them to fall to the ground, deafened and blinded. She started to weave another spell when the strange insectoid in the trench coat started shooting at her. One of his bullets grazed her cheek and she felt terribly cold. She cursed and hid behind the fountain, luckily the spell she was casting didn't require her to see the target. She summoned several balls of magical Energy that flew towards the shooter. However, they did not knock him down, but only wounded him. At this time, Lonnie teleported from behind Duergar, but he quickly turned around trying to avoid the blow. He took the blow on his shoulder and winced painfully as his armor cracked, but he raised his hammer with one hand and struck it mightily against the ground. A powerful wave of electricity spread in all directions and shocked the General's Companion. She tried to weave another spell, but she had to hide from the fire. The duergar rose and swung to strike the blow that would kill Lonnie. Then she saw Wrongdak running towards the dwarf himself, holding something like an Ax or a Pickaxe in his hand.
„Do you remember me...„ the clone said in an angry voice.
The hammer warrior looked at him in surprise, then laughed hoarsely.
„It's you! Eh, I could have crushed your paws, but maybe now it will work... „ and he took a deep swing, but the clone was the first, with a powerful blow he drove the tip of the weapon into the other arm of the Duergar, who screamed in pain and fell to his knees, dropping the weapon from his hand. The dwarf gritted his teeth angrily and glared with pure hatred at the clone, who seemed unfazed.
„I swear that you and your kind will pay me back!" the Duergar shouted , but they didn't pay much attention to him because the fight was still going on. Lonnie got to her feet. She swayed slightly, but blocked Lady Ka's electric baton strike, then with a deft punch she tripped the Lord Admiral's second-in-command, and then Nightgale cast a magic dust spell that blinded most of the enemies, then offered Lady Ka's arm, and both women fled. And then they saw a flash of rainbow light nearby... and then the entire city went dark.
She was a murderer, she killed Light Hope. The AI wasn't evil, its compatriots made it that way. Surely there was a way to save her, even if not when the Heart was activated, then before. If she hadn't been so afraid, if she had dared to take a risk... If she had asked the right questions, instead of believing everything she was told... She had freed herself from the Shadow Weaver's clutches, but she had left Catra there , just as she had freed herself from the cursed legacy of her people. She couldn't take back what she had done. She had to save Catra now , nothing bad could happen to her. She couldn't fail her like she had failed Light Hope.
She and the Lady of Blades found themselves in someone's garden. Catra was nowhere to be found, apparently the teleportation didn't work as it should. Well, she didn't take much of it. Someday she needs to practice teleporting herself even though the voices were constantly talking to her. The Lady of Blades took a deep breath and then spoke.
„It was... an extraordinary experience. I have to leave you... I'll look for Lady Cala, I have a score to settle with her... You look for your wife. " said the knight and ran towards the castle. Meanwhile, she heard the sounds of fighting. With a trembling heart, she ran in that direction.
Catra in a side street overlooking a fountain across from the cemetery. Her beloved was pressing a woman to the ground. The cat girl's face was furious. At first she didn't understand what was happening, but then she looked at the woman and saw her scared face and then gasped.
"Shadow Weaver," she whispered, and then Catra looked at her, seeing fear, anger, and despair in her eyes.
„I was so afraid she did something to you. To you or to my father... „ she said, her voice breaking. Tears were streaming down her face.
„You should listen." Shadow Weaver tried to say, but Catra hit her hard on the head, knocking the dark sorceress unconscious.
„Be silent!„ Her wife shouted. Melog stood off to the side, sparkling with many colors. He looked no less confused than his companion. Catra stood up, swaying on her feet. She wanted to ask her what happened. And hold them in their arms and cry, but then someone landed next to them. When she turned around, she was surprised to see Rosie. She smiled, because it meant that Catra's sister might be nearby ... But there was something strange about Rosie. The girl emanated a white glow, her eyes were covered with what looked like white matter. Her fists were clenched… Then all the lights in the city went out and the white-haired girl shone like a lantern in the darkness.
„Rosie?" she asked the girl carefully. Something was very wrong here. Rosie looked at her and jumped towards her. The girl moved with incredible speed. It hit her in the chest with such force that she fell back several meters, and the power inside her wavered. She lost her breath and a voice rang in her head.
„YOU FAILED!"
She stood up as quickly as she could. The girl hit her with her fist again and again. She blocked each blow with her shield, feeling her power wavering after each powerful blow, like a flame in the wind. She drew more power. Meanwhile, Catra jand Melogumped on Rosie's back, but the white-haired girl threw her against the wall with one wave of her hand.
„Catra!– she shouted and attacked the girl, turning the shield into a stick. Her blows were lightning fast, but Rosie dodged them effortlessly. Then the girl grabbed her stick with one hand and struck her in the chest with the other, knocking her out of her knees.
„YOU BETRAYED!" the voice rang in her heart once again. The girl grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up. She felt something draining her power. She returned to her true form.
„THE SENTENCE IS DEATH!" screamed a voice in her head. The girl tightened her hand around her neck, but then another figure jumped down from the nearby wall. She looked so much like Catra... She put her hand on the girl's shoulder and said.
„It's okay, Rosie... Nothing happened. Everything's all right." Eti said in a very tired voice and light flowed out of Rosie. The girl blinked several times and when she looked at her, horror appeared in her eyes. She released her, and then she and Rosie ran into the darkness. She felt exhausted, but steeled herself and walked over to Catra, who was getting up.
„Everything hurts, I think she broke some bone, but I don't know what." her wife laughed, and then grimaced painfully. Then they heard footsteps and Lady Ka entered their Alley.
„I see that the brides are whole and healthy... It's worse with this short one... How she was named? Frosta?" she said and put the Horde's electric baton at Shadow Weaver, who was trying to get up...
Calamity was very pleased with herself. Not only did she punish the wicked thief and play a prank on Shadow Weaver, she also gained a lot of valuable information. And all this with almost no planning. Apparently, despite what Shadow Weaver said, improvisation is the key to success. Now she just had to think about how the acquired knowledge could benefit her cause. One thing was certain, he had to contact that Elven Warlock that was floating near Nightgale ... The drawings referred to someone like him, a wizard with so much power that Shadow Weaver was compared him like a clumsy schoolgirl. This could be a fascinating discovery... One that will help her regain the destiny she was so treacherously deprived of. And then the whole universe will tremble with horror and delight.
When she got outside, through one of the hidden passages at the bottom of the cliff where the castle was located, she saw that the city was shrouded in darkness. But has this creature breached the princesses' defense? That would have made this day even more wonderful, but unfortunately when she got to the city, she saw no signs of mass murder anywhere... Life had always brought her disappointments... She knew she should take the opportunity to run away, but she couldn't resist the temptation to tell the feline creature that she is a widow. This will be the most wonderful moment of her life.
Suddenly, a figure jumped out of the alley and punched her in the face with a metal fist as hard as she could. She fell to the ground and looked up. She saw Dilayla and Arkan"tar standing over her , as well as Star Siblings.
„Surprised to see me alive?" Dilayla asked, smiling and pointing her rifle at her.
Yes, life always brought her disappointments.
Asindesa di Vir ran as fast as she could, but she was still late. As she stood outside the castle walls, she saw Dilayla, Arkan-tar and others leading Lady Cala at gunpoint. The aristocrat seemed amused, but as soon as she saw her, she suddenly darkened, obviously seeing her alive not what she expected. The Queen was already standing at the gate, together with Scorpia and Perfuma. After a moment, Adora and Catra joined them. The cat girl was leaning on the shoulder of her wife, who had already returned to her natural form.
„Adora, Catra, are you okay?" Glimmer asked the queen with concern in her voice.
„Nothing serious although she tried to make it seem otherwise." the princess of power looked at Lady Cala, who had just been brought before the queen.
„What's that supposed to mean?" Glimmer asked in a sharp tone
Lady Cala lowered her head and said, her voice breaking.
„ I didn't want to... she forced me to do it... Shadow Weaver... She used her magic and...
Catra interrupted her.
„We have her here too...„ she said in a sharp tone. The Hell Knight felt her heart beat faster. She was here, the woman she loved so much, and who had betrayed her… Now Lady Cala was going to put all the blame for her misdeeds on her. However, she saw the joy in her eyes as she crippled Adora's soul. She won't let this wicked girl get away with her punishment. Her back was turned to her, no one was paying the slightest attention to the Lady of Blades... She grabbed her sword and with a shout she jumped forward, pierced the blade through Lady Cala's back, spun it around, then pulled it out and stabbed it in front of her. She knelt down and closed her eyes, waiting for what Fate would bring... And then laughter resounded...
Glimmer watched with a mixture of surprise and horror as Lady Cala, whose chest had been pierced by a Hellknight's blade before her own eyes, began to laugh. Her blood, which had recently stained the white stones, turned purple.
„Apparently this blade was not created to hurt people like me... Unfortunately, in this way I was forced to reveal my true identity. But maybe it's better this way? It's time to end this pathetic masquerade.„ Cala said when she stopped laughing. Her voice was as gentle as ever, although there was a hint of mockery in it. The girl stood up and then everyone let out an exclamation of astonishment as the previously fatal wound healed before their eyes. Lady Cala soon looked completely healthy, only stains on her dress and a tear where the sword had pierced suggested that the woman had been injured.
„Please, noble queen, let me finally introduce myself to you by my real name. I AM CALAMITY!" she said and bowed humbly. Then she started to transform. She became taller, bone claws emerging from the fingers of her right hand and a bone blade emerging from her left forearm. When she stood up, she found that her facial features had become sharper, and one eye had turned completely purple, as if the pupil had changed color and spread over the entire eye.
„I'm beautiful, aren't I?" she said and laughed loudly.
„Who... What are you?" Juliette asked, sword in hand. Her daughter stood next to her with her head down. What she saw must have been a shock for the girl. After all, Klementine had feelings for Lady Cala.
„I AM THE CHILD OF THE ONE WHO IS ALWAYS OR EVERYWHERE. THE ONE WHO KNOWS AND SEES EVERYTHING. I AM SPAWN OF GREAT OUTER GOD YOG-SOTOTH!" she said in a strangely resonant voice that rang in her ears. She took a step forward with each word. She saw that the woman was approaching Spinnerella with her children, Scorpia with Perfuma , and the Bowa brothers with their families.
"I AM PERFECTION INCARNATED!" she exclaimed, and then long tentacles with long spikes at the ends sprouted from her back. She slammed them towards Spinnerella's children, but she was faster. She teleported near Lady Cala and grabbed her forearm, and then they both moved again. She took the woman to the basement of Brightmoon , to a cell that had been built several years ago on her orders, in case of just such situations. It was completely identical to the one Horde Prime held her in. She wasn't proud of this project, but now it was extremely useful. Lady Cali's tentacles hit the wall and she teleported behind the force field. Lady Cala looked around, and when she realized where she was, she roared and began punching the force field with all her might, but she was unable to break it. Horde Prime took great care to ensure that his prisoners could not escape. She knew something about it...
