Landscape after the battle
Itel ran, stumbling. Her wound hurt with every step she took, but she knew she couldn't stop. She had to run from the enemy again without looking back. Although this time she wasn't alone. Running next to her were Scarlet and Lonnie, and Wrongdak and that woman with the prehensile purple hair. Comrade General was also tripping, that discharge must have seriously injured her. Wrongdak helped her, holding her arm. Luckily, he was so strong that she couldn't lean on it. The two of them led the others, because they were the only ones who could see in the night illuminated by the stars and moons. Soon she saw one figure running down from a nearby building, followed by another. She breathed a sigh of relief, Rosie and Eti were okay, although the cat girl looked glum and the deaf former intern seemed scared. But the most important thing was that they were together.
Soon they heard the sound of an approaching spaceship. For a moment she wondered if she should hide, lest it belong to the Lord Admiral, but soon she recognized the familiar silhouette of the Deadly Sword of Burning Fury... They were almost safe. The ship hovered above them and the side doors opened. Bina, Lilka and Rogelio stood there. A rope ladder was lowered.
„Get in, quickly! This blackout won't last long, and we need to get as close as possible before light returns." Bina exclaimed. Everyone obeyed her, though Lonnie watched their captain warily. They entered one by one, but Wrongdak and his friend had to help her. Once she got to the top, ilka looked around and asked.
„Where's Miss Daisy?" she could hear concern in the redhead's voice.
„Catra got her.„ Eti said and looked through the side Door... „ I guess we should save her." she added. Her voice was tired, even exhausted , but she slowly started to get up. She and Rosie did the same.
„Don't you dare! You won't risk it for this Hag." Bina growled.
„She tried to save me... That's why she was captured." she said, looking into her captain's eyes, but she only snorted.
„She definitely had some interest doing that, and as far as I know this planet, she's not in any danger... „ she added, smiling wryly.
„I'm going rescue her." said Scarlet. "I can be Nighgale for a while. She shouldn't arouse suspicion... „ the sorceress looked at Lonnie, and she nodded hesitantly. Bina shrugged.
„You are neither my ward nor my friend, you can do whatever you want."
Scarlet walked up to the Door and the ship slowed down and the scarlet haired woman climbed down the ladder. Then Bina looked at her and said sharply when she saw her wound.
„ March to Infirmary, Wrongdak, do you have medical training? – she asked, looking at the clone, who slowly nodded.
„Horde Prime taught us how to provide first aid and perform simple procedures. – he said carefully.
The purple-haired woman who had been looking around the ship in fascination suddenly called out.
„Can I go with Wrongdak? I am very curious about medical technologies!„ You could hear pure delight in her voice.
„„I guess yeah, but who are you anyway?" Bina asked.
"I am Entrapta... Your ship is very beautiful. I'd like to examine it. I thought I'd do this with the Lord Admiral's ships, but now that I'm here... Does your ship have its own AI? Maybe he could be friends with Darla. This is my ship. Darla is a real lady, educated and with impeccable manners." asked the purple-haired woman with hope in her voice.
„Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you. I'm just a biological organism cybernetically connected to this ship.„ said Mr. Ilemshaw, pointing one of his cameras towards Entrapta. "However, I do not rule out the possibility of making friends with this Darla, because I have no prejudices against Artificial Intelligence…"
„Oh, I must admit that you speak very nicely." Entrapta replied.
„For now, stop matchmaking spaceships, and instead tell me how you came to be on my ship, and if you say you just got on it, my veins will burst." Said vina
„Shouldn't you get a biological scan done? Internal bleeding can be dangerous... Especially in the central nervous system." the purple-haired woman said with concern in her voice.
„I feel like I'm talking to another Eti, only less grumpy. Is she with you?" Bina asked, rubbing her temples, looking at Lonnie and her companions, but the General shook her head.
„She came with me... She had talked to the Lord Admiral earlier, but while Lady Ka was watching over me, she loosened my bonds and gave me a stimulant. Without it, I'd be dead." Itel interjected
Bina looked at Entrapta a little more favorably, then looked around her ship. Her eyes fell on two tied people lying against the wall. One of them was a short human woman or a very tall Gnome, she wasn't entirely sure what she was, with wings growing out of her back. She stared blankly ahead with a blank smile on her face. The second was a short and petite girl in a suit that looked bionic. Bina's eyes widened in surprise when she saw her.
„Tirin? And where did you get it here? – she asked, not hiding her surprise.
„Normally. When we wanted to rob the museum, this girl ran into Rosie, so she knocked her out and we took her to the ship. – Eti replied, looking at Ka4pitan with an expression as if she had asked a very stupid question.
„And why did you drag her here to our ship? And what did you want to steal in this museum, because don't tell me that you wanted to see paintings and clay pots!„ Bina crossed her arms on her chest. Eti looked at her resentfully.
„You could think better of us. Perhaps our time here rekindled our love for Etherian folk art?" the cat-girl said, as if she was seriously offended.
„Eti…„ their captain said with a threat in her voice.
„Okay, we were supposed to steal Adora's old and broken sword for Lonnie, but we couldn't do it. Because Captain Wingy was there with a few other pirates, so we grabbed Tirin because she happened to be on our way..."
This time it was Lonnie who stood up and started shouting at them.
„Why the hell did you kidnap a random girl instead of the sword I told you to steal?"
„Because there were pirates there, and besides, I'm not going to rob the rightful ruler of Etheria. We will exchange the girl for a sword, because she is her replacement for her mean daughter, and everyone will be happy.„ said Eti.
Lonnie wanted to say something, but Bina wouldn't let her.
„First of all, miss, don't you dare yell at my kids on our ship, and second of all, what the hell is that other woman doing on this ship?" Bina was blushing with anger.
„This is Empress Eridani. We kidnapped her to force Glimmer to negotiate and listen to our demands." said Comrade General, looking defiantly at Bina, who, however, didn't care much about it.
„You've probably gone completely crazy. You have just put yourself, most importantly, us, in conflict with a foreign country that will now be your sworn enemy. Congratulations on your diplomatic skills... Have you brought anyone else to our ship?" the Captain said in a sharp tone, until even Comrade General lost her composure in the confrontation with the burgundy-haired woman, and then Swifwind came out of the living compartment and said in an embarrassed voice.
„I think I messed up a bit, but in my defense I don't know how to use humanoid toilets."
„So we also have a talking horse?" Bina said in disbelief.
„It's not a horse, it's Mr. Swiftwind, he really doesn't like being called a horse... I'm coming, Mr. Swiftwind!" Lilka called and ran after Aricorn. Then Itel started laughing. She didn't know why and she didn't have the slightest control over it. She began to feel dizzy and fell to her knees. Before she lost consciousness, she heard.
„If you amputate her hand, will I be able to examine her prosthetic arm?"
'That was a disaster,' Glimmer thought, rubbing her temples. She was in the Council Room, it was already light outside the windows. She felt exhausted, more than ever before. She was active more than 24 hours a day, and sometimes even longer, especially at the end of the war, when they were preparing for the final battle against Horde Prime. It was different now. It was supposed to be the most beautiful day of her life. And in the lives of Bow, Adora and Catra. This was supposed to be the day when all of Etheria would celebrate the victory they had worked so hard to win. Everyone was supposed to rejoice and expect better days to come... But it turned out that darkness had come.
She never imagined that creatures like the monster they were fighting could exist. She had heard Catra's warnings about what she had seen in the depths of Mystacor and the ruins of that lost city, and her father's musings about the being summoned by the Shadow Weaver, but she didn't realize what they truly meant. This creature had no right to exist in this world. They were evil but not like Horde Prime. It was a predatory, primal evil. This monster wanted to devour them, and not just their bodies, but something more, their essence. They almost lost Scorpia and Perfuma. And there was nothing she could do to save them. She was absolutely defenseless against such a creature. If it hadn't been for this strange person coming to their rescue... They had no idea who he was or where he came from, but they were all grateful to him... If it weren't for him, they would have lost two princesses. There would have been two more funerals... Ten of them were waiting. Two guardsmen died from this monster's attack, and eight from Lady Sorrowflame's flame. Their bodies were unrecognizable, and she had no idea what she would say to their families. That they were unlucky enough to be in the path of a monster from myths and fairy tales? It was another monster, another unnatural monstrosity coming to their planet, only this time it served their so-called ally. She had no idea how they would resolve this situation, but she wouldn't let it go. Then there was this strange and terrifying man, a monster of his own kind. He also helped them, although it was not out of good will. He had some dark plans, didn't want to talk to her and left the city right after the fight. Finally, there was the matter of Madam Razz. The woman was once again the nice old lady everyone knew and liked. But for a moment, she was someone scary and ruthless... Someone similar to the Shadow Weaver from Adora and Catra's stories.
But the worst was behind them. Meanwhile, Adora... She hasn't told anyone yet about what happened in the basement under the castle. The knight who accompanied her also did not want to say anything, claiming that it was The Princess Of Power's matter and only she could tell them everything if she so wished. They could only be sure that something terrible had happened there. Something that shocked her deeply. She hadn't seen Adora like this in Years. Since… since they lost her mother… She hadn't paid enough attention back then. She was too caught up in fighting the war and her own grief… And furious at the world that had taken her mother away from them. Now she could clearly see that her friend was suffering. She blamed herself for something again, she thought it had something to do with Light Hope. Until now, they hadn't thought much about the treacherous AI, although Adora was still afraid of her and Catra hated her for what it had done to it by digging into its worst memories... Had it discovered some secret related to the ancient AI?
The fact that Lady Cala turned out to be a traitor didn't even surprise anyone. All along they had the impression that this woman was hiding some secret, but... Not like this one. She was another monster, but hidden behind a beautiful face. They could suspect her of various things, even of being associated with Shadow Weaver... But not that she would turn out to be... To be what? She had no idea that someone could hide such monstrosity... She saw with her own eyes that her heart was pierced by a blade, but the wound closed almost immediately. It seemed as if she didn't even feel the thrust, as if it was nothing important. She-Ra could heal wounds, both her own and those of others, especially now, after the destruction of the Heart and the release of magic, but this was something completely different. As if the laws of science and magic did not apply to this being, as if it was above them. The creature that hid behind that beautiful face was not a monstrosity in appearance, after all, both Etheria and the galaxy were inhabited by various peoples, and not all of them were pretty by her standards of beauty... In fact, even in her monstrous form, Lady Cala was in strangely attractive. No, evil was hidden in her heart. She wanted to kill the Spinerella children and for no reason at all, she never even talked to them... It looked like she wanted to hurt them just for her own fun. If only she had been just a little slower… Now that monstrosity screamed in its prison beneath her feet. She ordered the guards guarding her to be extremely careful... She knew that no prison would prevent someone who was determined... and had outside help from escaping.
However, they won, although not exactly as they would have liked. Meanwhile, Frosta... The girl was lying unconscious in the hospital. The spell cast by Shadow Weaver almost killed her... He would have done it if not for the girl's vitality and She-Ra's magic, which, however, was not able to completely heal her. Frosta looked half dead, cold and barely breathing. Her strange creature was in her room, wrapping itself around her as if it were a blanket. The medics and healers initially wanted to take him out of her room, but Netossa convinced them that Shogi's presence could help the Ice Princess recover in a very literal way. As proof, she showed her healed arm, which she had broken during a trip with Catra to this ancient city... However, the girl's condition was not improving and they did not know how to help her... They also did not know why Shadow Weaver did this to her. Of all the princesses, she had the least contact with the Dark Sorcerer. Was it Lonnie who convinced her to do this, to please her allies by depriving the People's Republic of Snow of the only threat to their rule? She had no idea. Mermista, who was present, didn't remember much. Scarlet, Lonnie's right hand and sorceress, cast a spell on her and the ruler of Salinea felt as if everything around her was hostile. She admitted that she was the one who threw Frosta into the line of fire because she thought it was an enemy hiding in the form of an ice princess. Perhaps she wasn't the target of Shadow Weaver's attack... Entrapta was there too... The dark sorcerer had a reason to resent her. After all, she was the one who deprived her of power in the Horde, or maybe she helped Catra do it. Hordak's former Right Hand was vengeful and unforgiving... She would not hesitate to kill Entrapta just to repay her for past grudges. They didn't know anything for sure yet. Shadow Weaver sat in her old cell, although Catra suggested that they lock her in the same cell as Lady Cala. Maybe she will do that in the future, but for now they need to question her. She was afraid of this. This woman was a master manipulator and she didn't know what other tricks she might have up her sleeve. The only thing that was certain was that he had to keep an eye on Catra, because the cat girl might have another breakdown.
They may have captured Shadow Weaver, but Lonnie captured Empress Eridani. This was a terrible blow to the alliance. Abigail was its most powerful and loyal member. Her loss put the entire project into question. How can he guarantee the safety of his alliance members when he can't even protect one of them at his own wedding, on his own planet? He must free her as soon as possible, otherwise everything they have achieved in all these years since the defeat of Horde Prime. Only it won't be that simple. He doesn't want to wage another war, this time with the People's Rebellion, especially since they were threatened not only by Horde Prime's heirs, but by new, completely unknown forces, as they had just found out. The universe turned out to be much larger than they had ever imagined, and much darker than anyone could have imagined.
A fire also broke out in the city when a distillery built by former Horde technicians was set on fire by the Empress's guards during a fight with Lonnie. The fire did not spread because the fire brigade was on high alert even before the Alarm was announced. During such events, it often happened that someone misfired a firework. Someone also broke into the power plant and terrorized the employees. Everyone said the attacker looked just like Lady. Ka. Was it someone like Double Trouble, a shapeshifting spy and trickster? Or maybe it was someone else. She remembered that Catra had claimed that the Lord Admiral's left hand was a clone of the same scientist who had created it. Could it be one of Lady Ka's sisters? Did she work for Lonnie or Shadow Weaver?
And to make matters worse, they lost Entrapta and Swiftwind somewhere. Normally she wouldn't care much about this. The inventor princess was easily distracted around new technology, Swiftwind went with Frosta, but before that he was organizing the celebration, so perhaps he was just lost somewhere because he had to take care of some important organizational matters. However, there were other possibilities. They could have been kidnapped or even worse. No, they couldn't entertain such thoughts for now... They had to hold on to the hope that everything was fine. With all these problems, the fact that the Victory Museum had been robbed seemed irrelevant ... except for the fact that its guards swore that the pirate captain was a tall winged woman in a mask. They didn't say it directly, but they certainly suspected it was their dead queen, or maybe they didn't want to acknowledge it? After all, even she found it hard to believe ... that her mother was alive... She stole many less valuable artifacts stolen by Horde Prime and Adora's old sword. She remembered demanding that Adora give it back to her, but it made no sense. After all, she never wanted this Weapon… In fact, she never saw her Mom ever have a weapon in her hand…. It must have had something to do with her final moments on the other side of the portal... She was almost glad that her father had only sent her a short note telling her that she had to leave Brightmoon on urgent matters. She was almost not angry with him, after all, he was probably on a case related to recent events. It's a pity that he also took Auntie Casta with him, but I guess her skills would be more useful to him... after all, her aunt didn't know anything about dark magic, interplanetary politics or suppressing Rebellions, although to be honest, her knowledge in these areas was also limited. She just hoped that nothing would happen to them.
„Well, I guess it's nothing from the wedding night. she said to her husband. Bow smiled at her reassuringly and said.
„I'll make it up to you, I promise." he kissed her on the forehead. She smiled at him, but then Netossa snorted.
„Half of wedding nights are like this. Spinny and I were so exhausted that we simply went to bed and guess what? We don't regret it at all" she said, and her wife added
„Actually, I kind of miss it now. I don't remember the last time I slept soundly through the whole night. And it won't get better. – she smiled, rubbing her belly, and everyone laughed, although she felt a strange feeling of anxiety at the thought that this would soon happen to her, just like to Mermista... The ruler of Salinea sat gloomily, staring ahead. She blamed herself for what happened to Frosta, completely unnecessarily. It was the sorceress and Shadow Weaver's fault, she used Magic inappropriately. Sea Hawk stood next to her, his hand on his wife's shoulder. The captain's happy and optimistic mood disappeared. He was more concerned about his wife's emotional state than anyone present. Despite his risk-taking nature and love of adventure, he was very caring. He did well during the evaluation, along with Bow. In fact, they did too well, the deserted city making it easier for Lonnie and the others to escape.
Apart from them, in the Council Room there was Catra, who was nervously pacing around the room. She wagged her tail strongly and Melog changed colors, although they were not as expressive as before, which clearly showed the emotions boiling in his companion's heart. Catra would probably like to go somewhere else. But it was hard to say where. Whether with Shadow Weaver or Lady Cala. Both women had hurt her wife, though in different ways... And with Shadow Weaver, she had old scores that needed settling. Adora looked thoughtfully out the window, thinking about what happened in the underground. She was worried about her. They will have to talk about it after the meeting, because leaving such matters alone could end very badly. General Juliette was still reeling from the shock of what her daughter's companion turned out to be, but apart from that, she seemed to be in good condition. Ambassadors Tuo and John Kilthem were present and looked very depressed. A woman from Eridani because of the kidnapping of her cousin, and a warrior from Bellum was disappointed that he did not take part in the fight because he drank too much, the inhabitants of his planet were famous for having a very weak head. Minister Shu had been dozing off on the table, she had allowed herself to relax for the first time in years during Victory Day, and now she was exhausted. Scorpia and Perfuma were absent because they wanted to recover from what happened. She wasn't surprised, after all, they were the ones who almost died during the night's events. She sighed and ordered person she needed to talk to be brought in
It was Lord Admiral Antares. Seeing her father enter, Catra turned to him, smiling broadly, and the Lord Admiral nodded at her in response, smiling as well, though much more reservedly. They didn't know what happened to him during the night's events, except that nothing happened to him. Lady Ka was with him, smiling as always, as if she was planning to hurt someone. However, the person she called Catra's father for was not there.
„Where is Lady Sorrowflame?„ She asked sharply.
„Unfortunately, she couldn't come here." replied the Lord Admiral in an unimpressed tone.
„I called her about what she did last night!" she shouted, angry that her orders were being ignored. The Lord Admiral sighed and replied in the same dispassionate voice as before.
„I didn't talk about it earlier, because in some regions of the galaxy, beings like her are met with prejudice, but I think it's worth clarifying some issues so that there are no misunderstandings between us. As you probably already know, Lady Sorrowflame is a dragon, and an unusually old one, as it still remembers the times of Lost Golarion. What is much more important, however, is that he is also a vampire, i.e. an undead that feeds on the life forces of living beings, and an extremely talented necromancer, i.e. a person dealing with death magic. It has been serving our family for generations. Because of her nature, walking in the light of day makes it difficult for her.„ when he said the word "Ours", he glanced at Catra, as if to emphasize that she was also a part of it. The Grand Marshal shuddered and said.
„I met one vampire in Mystacor... I managed to defeat him with great difficulty. He wanted to devour me, just like Castaspella and her assistant…"
The Lord Admiral nodded in approval.
„A ravenous and feral vampire is a dangerous opponent indeed, but most modern vampires do not feed on sentient beings and are civilized, and Lady Sorrowflame is one of the most respected scholars in... her field in the Galaxy... „ he said seriously, and she asked, smiling. askew.
„So will Lady Sorrowflame answer for what she did today?" she looked seriously at the Lord Admiral, who smiled at her slightly, almost imperceptibly, and said briefly.
„NO."
That one word echoed in silence throughout the room. Only now did she notice that Catra's father's attitude had changed. Before he was polite, even friendly, but now he became authoritative and cold. He looked down at her. As if he was judging her and saw her as incompetent. She had the impression that he saw her as a naive child playing as an adult. She didn't like it. In Lady Ka's only eye she saw contempt and amusement. The others saw it too, even Adora and Mermista despite their mental state. Catra seemed confused, and Bow stood by her side, showing support. She tried to sound calm, but at the same time show her strength... She wanted to be like her mother.
„Lord Admiral Felix Antares. Your scholar is responsible for the death of eight guards and almost killed my friends, rulers of two kingdoms!"
Lord Admiral Antares shrugged.
"These are collateral damage... That's what happens in war." his voice was calm, but his attitude indicated that the topic was over for him and he was going to leave, but she didn't let him.
„You won't hold your subordinate accountable...„ This time she could barely control her anger.
„Of course not... In fact, for helping in defeat the creature born from the darkness among the stars, I decided to award it the Order of the Silver Wolf, it is one of the highest decorations awarded in the former Tarak. I also made her the Archchancellor of the newly established magical university on Taurus. It's very little, but I couldn't do much more to reward a dragon that has lived for thousands of years." replied the Lord Admiral with surprise in his voice.
For the first time in years, she had no idea what to say. How could you reward someone who caused the death of several brave soldiers... Bow spoke first. Which was good, because she was close to losing her temper.
„We on Etheri do not recognize the concept of collateral damage. For us, every life is sacred."
Catra's father shrugged again.
„I did not come here to conduct ideological discussions, because it is a waste of time, of which people in my position never have much. The main reason I came to this meeting is the information I wanted to give you." he pointed to Lady Ka, who bowed mockingly at them and said.
„I humbly and obediently report that Princess Entrapta has been kidnapped by rebel forces, and is in their hands."
She swore so badly several times that it made Bow blush, and Spinnerella looked reproachfully at her wife, because it was from Netossa that she picked up most of her juiciest swear words.
„How did this happen!" she asked, and Lady Ka answered her, still smiling slightly.
„Together we guarded a prisoner, an assassin who tried to assassinate the Lord Admiral, but unfortunately he was rescued by his comrades, including the woman you call Lonnie. Entrapta followed the attackers, I personally assume that someone cast a mind control spell on her."
She didn't believe Lady Ka. This woman looked like someone who lied as easily as she breathed. She was about to accuse her of lying when Mermisa spoke up.
„It's possible. That's when... I lost control of myself." the sea princess's voice almost broke. "Then when I attacked Frosta, I thought the red-haired woman who was with Lonnie had cast a spell on me."
Catra's eyes widened in understanding.
„Her name is Scarlet and she was a cadet like me. Then, when we were in the Lost City, she used a similar spell on Frosta, and she attacked me because of it. Lonnie, in turn, tried to take control of me with such a staff... „ she explained, and then General Juliette spoke up.
„This explains how the Empress was kidnapped. Her guards explained that Lonnie had held a staff to their head and then she ordered them to surrender."
They looked at each other. They already knew that Lonnie had mind control magic, but they didn't realize how much of a threat it was. Seeing their consternation, the Lord Admiral smiled faintly and said.
„I'll leave you alone to think about what you've learned. Soon I'm going to wage a war for which you didn't have time, and after recent events, you probably won't find it. However, before I leave your planet, I would be very happy to talk to my daughter and daughter-in-law. I also plan to meet Shadow Weaver if there is room for me in line." he started to leave without waiting for her reaction, and Lady Ka followed him, but before he left the meeting room, he stopped, turned to her and said.
„Another thing. I didn't see fit to correct you earlier, Queen, but I guess it's time to let you know. Some time ago, the Taurus government granted me the title of Lord Protector, and you should address me as such." before she could say anything, he left the council room. Then she could fully surrender to the emotions boiling in her heart.
"What…" She barely refrained from calling Catra's father names, but the cat girl looked at them apologetically, as if the Lord Admiral's behavior was her fault and said.
„ I'll try to talk to him later. Maybe I can get something from him...„ she didn't seem convinced by her words. She smiled at her friend to comfort her.
„Let's not worry about him for now. First we need to focus on how to free the captives.„ seeing John Kilthem raise his hand, she added... „Without destroying a significant part of the planet and killing thousands of innocents?" at this point the ambassador plopped down on his chair, clearly sad. General Juliette spoke up.
„I guess you'll do what you always did during the war. Io means you will carry out a daring rescue mission that will succeed despite initial difficulties." Everyone laughed, except for Adora, who said in a dark voice.
„It won't be that easy..."
They looked at her in surprise and Adora continued.
„Then, when we took out Shadow Weaver, we met Rosie, the deaf girl we had previously encountered on Ikarus. She was very nice, but now something strange has happened to her. She started glowing and lunged at me. She... She almost beat me. If it wasn't for... someone else, I would have lost... Her blows were draining my magic... I'm not sure who she is, but as I was fighting her, a voice rang out in my head... It told me that... I was a traitor ... that I had failed... I'm not sure what he was referring to... But I guess it had to do with what Light Hope was trying to do." she finished and lowered her head
She felt cold sweat break out on her back. He remembered what the Ancient AI wanted to do. Then, using the power of She-Ra and the runestones, she almost destroyed most of the life in the galaxy, to which she contributed significantly. If Adora hadn't broken the sword, all would have been lost, very literally. However, if her friend mentioned Light Hope, it meant that…
„Are you implying that this girl has some connection with the First Ones?"
Adora stared ahead for a few moments before she began to speak in a quiet, barely audible voice.
„Lady Cala took us to the underground... There I met Heart Gift... She was very nice, but... She is the daughter of Light Hope and Mara. I know, it seems weird. Lady Cala… She told Heart Gift the truth… About what happened to her mothers… about me murdering Light Hope…." Adora closed her eyes and tears ran down her cheeks. Catra stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder, she teleported next to her friend, and Bow and Mermista walked up to her.
„It's not your fault... If I hadn't tried to use my heart to strengthen our power... Perhaps we would have succeeded somehow...„ she said, feeling a pang of remorse, because what she said was not just a way to console her, but also the honest truth.
„ I am also guilty, because after losing my kingdom, I was the one who pushed the most to implement this plan. Mermista said seriously.
„And also mine... If I hadn't escalated this war, if I hadn't pushed so hard to win... If I hadn't pulled that lever, none of this would have happened." Catra said, wincing at the pain of guilt.
„Listen, it's not about who's guilty. None of us are blameless, but the most guilty are Shadow Weaver and those who reprogrammed Light Hope and created the Heart. Bow said. She smiled at him, somewhat comforted, although there were still fears inside her, because in her castle there were not only a Ruthless Manipulator with enormous magical skills and an inhuman monster, but also Si, which was the work of a civilization that almost destroyed all intelligent life in the Galaxy... The castle, which she had previously considered her safe home, was no longer such a place
For the next few hours, they discussed what they should do, until she finally came to the conclusion that they would not come to any new conclusions, so she ordered everyone to go to bed, because they still had to interrogate the prisoners. However, before she went to sleep, she had to take care of one more thing. She said goodbye to Bow and teleported away. She found herself in a small guest room, similar to the one she had placed Shadow Weaver in. The one who stayed here was also a bigger person, but not entirely...
Hordak was playing with his child. She was completely unprepared for this sight. This will make the whole thing much more difficult.
„Do you already know what happened to my wife?" he asked in a hard, rough voice without turning towards her. She sighed heavily and told him everything she had learned from Lady Ka. He didn't even look at her the whole time, even though she felt something boiling inside him. When she finished, he said in a reproachful voice.
„How is it that in five years of being in the most dangerous place on Etheri, nothing happened to her, but every time she meets with you, her life is in danger?"
She sighed heavily, because he was quite right.
„We will do everything to free her." assured Hordak. Never in her life did she think that she would have to explain herself to the ruler of the Etherian Horde.
„ You are not doing me any favours, after all, you Claim that she is your friend, although in fact you can do what you want anyway and there is nothing I can do about it.." he said bitterly, slowly standing. Even though he had a child in his arms, he still looked menacing. "Arrange care for my child. I propose that it be placed in Scorpia's care during my absence. Of all of you, I consider her the most trustworthy.
She blinked twice as she realized what Hordak had said.
„You can't... you are... „ she wanted to say, but he interrupted her.
