"Thank you all for coming in short notice." Doctor Doom greeted the newest guests to his throne room: The Hooligans and Team Toxin. After they completed their secret mission to steal a Chaos Emerald from Central Francisco, Grimadoom and Juri escorted them to Latveria to be briefed on the important job the Masters of Evil hired them for. "As Doom is certain you have figured out, our worlds were reborn as one by a cosmic force that desires our absolute annihilation. I hired you for your skills as they are necessary in surviving the coming conflict." He claimed.
"And just who is so powerful that has the multiverse's mightiest villains shaking in their boots?" Cinder snarked.
Doom begins his retort by projecting a hologram of the Mad Titan for the mercenaries to observe. "He calls himself Thanos, the Mad Titan. An agent of Death that exists solely to slaughter life. For some time, he has been destroying dimensions with his armada in search for the eight Exo Stones, most that were found in our corner of the cosmos. He caused the Convergence to not only make it easier to breach our defenses for his inevitable invasion but to scatter the Stones. If he succeeds in obtaining all eight, he will erase all existence with a snap of his fingers." He gestured, lying when it was the Masters that caused the Convergence.
"Hardcore." Mercury quipped, not taking the threat seriously.
"I like his style." Bean commented, while Bark looks mildly concerned about the danger Thanos expresses.
"You would." Fang snarks at his crazy teammate before turning back at the Masters asking, "How the heck do you expect punks like us to beat a monster like him?"
"We're not asking you to be suicidal just yet. Thanos won't be here for another few days and we're using that time to prepare for his arrival. Our forces are hard at work developing Anti-Thanos Weaponry. Your job is to find these artifacts that will give us an edge, in the event Thanos does obtain the Stones." Eggman smiled evilly, handing the hired help lists of important and deadly powerful items.
"You hired us to do your shopping?" Emerald sassed.
"The most expensive shopping list you'll ever do." Eggman quipped.
"Let's see here…" Bean puts on glasses just to be funny and reads the items off the list, "We are to steal Chaos Emeralds, the Master Emerald, Lifeline Tablet, Serpent Crown, Wand of Watoomb, Death Seed, Book of the Vishanti, whatever the Four Relics of Remnant are…"
"I thought the Relics were destroyed back when Goblin was beaten." The curious Cinder commented, recalling Green Goblin in possession of the Relics during the Goblin War.
"They were sealed inside Spider-Man by the Gods for protection until the Convergence separated them from his soul. No doubt the fool has long forgotten about that." Doom explained. "Obtain all the artifacts for us and you will be paid handsomely. Consider this the advance fee." He said, signaling Orbot to hand the Hooligans a giant moneybag, and Cubot dragging his own to Team Toxin in addition a bag filled with ISO-8 crystals that pique Cinder's power-obsessed interest.
"I'm in!" Fang exclaimed, smiling huge and happy since only money can convince him to do ludicrous tasks. "How 'bout you mooks?" He then asked his new dimensional partners in Team Toxin.
"We're not your mooks. Emerald is Cinder's mook." Mercury quipped.
"Shut up!" Emerald scowls at her annoying partner, calming down before turning to her boss, "What do you think, Cinder?"
"I am hesitant to accept. After all, some of you are not the most trustworthy people." Cinder noted, glaring specifically at Salem since they parted ways on bad terms after her symbiote invasion from months ago.
"The blame is all mine. I both lied and used you in my quest to destroy Remnant. And my previous failing with the symbiotes cost you the love of your life. I am sorry, Cinder. You do not have to trust me or the rest of us, but believe that Thanos poses a grave threat to us all. Your power is crucial in this world's survival." Salem claimed, appearing to look sincere in her apology that Cinder is adamant in looking indifferent at.
"Look at you trying." Grimadoom mocked the witch's apparent sincerity, earning an angry glare from Salem herself.
Cinder considers her choices for a silent moment. Then sports a devious smile as she tells the Masters of her decision. "…Okay. Think I'll play along for now. I'll help you defeat Thanos. On the condition that I am allowed to do as I please." She accepted their request, with her team and the Hooligans effectively joining the Masters of Evil.
"Accepted. You have my deepest gratitude, Ms. Fall. Your transport is ready outside." Doom responded.
"Bout time this is over. I have a worldwide training regimen to begin. The Convergence did something to me. My power feels different from before." Grimadoom frowned, sensing something is anew about himself.
"Really? Then do take care of yourself." Doctor Octopus said, feigning concern for the bio-android.
"You too." Grimadoom retorted with a scoffing glare that is perceived as a threat to the Masters, wondering if the Convergence was also a means to tighten their very loose control over the overpowered hedgehog.
"Might as well tag along too." Juri said, joining Grimadoom and the mercenaries to the exit.
"As a spy?" Cinder snarked.
"To see if you can handle a beatdown from me." Juri grinned, proposing a sparring match with the symbiote princess.
"Later." Cinder smirked, already respecting the sadistic spider.
"You girls are creeping me out." Fang snarked.
Once the anti-hero party has left the castle, Doc Ock is the first to voice his opinion on the meeting. "That woman will be a nuisance. Are you sure she doesn't suspect us behind the Convergence?" He asked Salem, distrustful of Cinder.
"Possibly. She has matured since our last meeting, living in the public as a vigilante that is balanced by her mercenary work in the shadows. Her desire for power has been tempered by her independence. Appeal to that and let her be for the time being." Salem responded, claiming to know how to best manipulate Cinder to do their bidding.
"As long as she doesn't disrupt our plans. Same goes for Grimadoom and Juri. Though I am curious about this side-effect he mentioned." Ock commented.
"Make good use of the ultimate symbiote, Ms. Fall." Doom said with a foreboding undertone.

Daily Bugle, New Vale City.
It is pretty quiet at the most famous tabloid in all of New Vale City. The only sounds filling the air is the sound of a keyboard being typed on by the only person in the building at this nightly hour, Ben Urich. He is a reporter. The best in the business. Always investigating for truths and putting his life on the line to root out the evils hiding in his city. The perfect person a crimefighter can talk to when in a rush to hunt for criminals that stole mystical artifacts of devastating power.
"Sorry to bother you, Ben. You got a minute for the Daily Bugle's favorite menace?"
That familiarly sudden voice startled Urich from his computer work, prompting him to look up and find Spider-Man on the ceiling. "Maybe people would consider you less of a menace if you didn't sneak up on people like this. Or used the front door instead of the window?" Urich snarked.
"Touché. I need some info…fast. I was in a skirmish with The Hood over the Lifeline Tablet, but he stole it and I have no clue where he went." Spidey said, requesting his help to pursue Hood.
Interested by this development, Urich decides to help the hero by telling him this, "The Hood, huh? His real name is Parker Robbins. The two-bit crook who got his hands on a magic cloak and decided to become a crimeboss. If he also has this mystical tablet now, he just became somebody to worry about. I hear he's operating over in the Jersey Docks and it's been moved closer to Jersey City. It's suddenly futuristic because of the Convergence, so that's where you should start looking…"
And just as he finished sharing this info, Urich finds Spidey is no longer on the ceiling. "Spider-Man…?" He looks back at the window his friend came in through and realize he has long disappeared with the grateful intel. "You're no menace…but your manners need some work." He joked.
Later, at Jerseyopolis…
BGM-Mega Man ZX OST- Brilliant Show Window (Tunes Ver.)
The morning sun shines all over this futuristic industrial city. Jerseyopolis. Another hybrid town, this time between Jersey City of Earth and Grand Metropolis of Mobius. Big landmarks like Liberty State Park and smaller establishments like J.C. Electronics survived the merge and now co-exist with factories owned by the HEXAeco corporation. Which explains the predominance of hexagons in the city. Architecture is akin to Jersey City's and many hovercars are zooming through the skies, with one of them being a STRIKE vehicle driven by Tails that is escorting the Dimensional Avengers in their mission to hunt down The Hood.
"Your Urich friend wasn't kiddin' about the city looking futuristic. Looks like Jersey merged with Grand Metropolis." Sonic commented, staring in awe at the futuristic city out the car window.
"This is an automated energy plant. Impressive." Jin complimented.
"Starting to understand why Felicia stayed back with Rouge. This is totally not fair. Why did JERSEY of all places get the futuristic remake? It's Jersey!" Spider-Man complained.
"New Vale isn't lacking either in future tech." Weiss reminded her forgetful leader.
"Not to this extent. I'm seeing energy running through those red pipes. Looks like the company that runs the place is testing Dust as an alternate source." Spidey retorted.
"Then get started in replicating the tech at W.E.B." Palutena teased him of the postponed organization.
"Why do you have to hurt me?" Spidey quipped.
"This city is fascinating but also huge. It will be difficult tracking down The Hood." Lucina said.
"Mr. Urich mentioned he's hiding in the Jersey Docks and he has Spider-Man's respect. Nothing to worry about." X reassured her.
"I wonder if that one superhero that was protecting Jersey City is around. If she survived the Convergence, we can talk to her for more clues." Blake said, knowledgeable of a new miss marvelous superhero.
"I wanna know more about that new teleportation power you used last night." Amy smiles at her fellow Rose.
"Me too. Let's call the Delta Team." Ruby decided with an excited grin.

BGM-Sonic Battle OST-Emerl's Theme
Spider-Man presses some buttons in the car to get in contact with one of the scientists researching the Convergence. The best person he got in contact with is Doctor Jemma Simmons displayed on a viewscreen from the front row. 'Hey guys. How's your morning?' Simmons greeted them with a friendly smile.
"Fine, Doctor Simmons. How's researching the Convergence going?" Spidey asked.
'Crazy. I wish I had some good news, but it seems like we keep finding more danger around every corner of this world. But, perhaps, this danger could also work to our advantage. Convergence may have caused our current status quo, but we could also find a way to use it to our benefit.' Simmons frowned.
"I think Ruby was exposed to those benefits last night. A new type of dimensional particle that gave her the power to teleport." Spidey informed the British scientist.
"Ah. Seems you're the latest in discovering Convergium Particles." Simmons smiled with great interest at this discovery.
"What are Convergium Particles?" Sonic asked, looking just as intrigued as the rest of his teammates.
To better explain herself, Simmons displays a neat presentation onscreen beside her that involve this mysterious purple particle of the cosmos. 'A unique group of extra-dimensional subatomic particles that can be seen as the leftovers of the Convergence. Its distortions caused the particles to enter the atmosphere of every planet in this Unified Universe and spread across the dimension to merge with a host's equivalent to a bloodstream. Doesn't matter if you're synthetic or organic. Immediate exposure and your body will start producing its own Convergium Particles.'
"We're ALL infected with Convergium Particles that gives people superpowers? That sounds dangerous." X commented in both worry and shock.
'Not really. Well yeah, your whole team is infected, but not everyone in the universe. Our current studies imply the particles are only attracted to specific classes.' Simmons replied, beginning to elaborate.
"And those are…?" Yang sassed.
'Cosmic types, mutants, mystics, metahumans, tech-savvies, people that are just very good at fighting…' Simmons listed.
"Basically all the heroes and villains in this dimension have been exposed to Convergium Particles." Pit summarized sternly.
'That includes outsiders like you. You were also caught in the Convergence Wave. Anyway, you said the particles in Ruby gave her the ability to teleport?' Simmons remarked.
"Yeah. It felt like my Semblance, but different in its own unique way." Ruby expressed solemnly.
'The result of your activated Convergium Particles. They're usually inactive. When not, they refine the unique elements of the Crossverse to be in full sync with your energy signature, mutating your body to manifest one unique power. Your very own…Cross Art! I'm coining that right now.' Simmons explained, officially coining the term Cross Art for fighters that activate their Convergium Particles.
"Cross Art…That sounds super awesome! I have my own dimension power!" Ruby cheered ecstatically.
"How does one unlock their Cross Art?" Lucina asked the doctor.
'We're not EXACTLY sure yet, but we have noted it functions as a useful adaptive tool in this brave new world. Against otherworldly dangers your body wasn't accustomed to before.' Simmons answered.
"The Tablet. That originated from Spider-Man's Earth. Ruby's Cross Art activated when Torchwick was in possession of it. Like her body knew it needed to evolve in order to stand a chance against that power later." Jin noted.
"They're like a self-defense mechanism!" Tails compared.
"I'm getting it now. The Convergium Particles are a means to reorganize the balance of powers between the fused population. It upgrades individuals to match the larger-than-life atmosphere of those from the stronger dimension so you aren't immediately curb-stomped. A natural counter instead of relying on external sources like ISO-8." Palutena realized while maintaining her pondering expression.
'That sums it up.' Simmons shrugged.
"Pretty smart for the Convergence to level the playing field. Even though it went a little extreme about it." Sonic commented.
"Spider-Virus, Sigma Virus, Convergium Particles, I'm really getting sick of being infected by weird stuff from other worlds." Weiss grunted in disgust.
"What was wrong having some me inside you?" Spidey teased the heiress.
"You are disgusting." Weiss snarks alongside thrusting a pointing finger at the webslinger.
"You misspelled attractive." Spidey quips with some playful flirting.
"To trouble." Weiss sassed.
After chuckling at their bickering, Simmons smiles, 'I'm heading back to my research. Have fun with your Cross Arts if you unlock them.'
"Sure thing, Doc. See you later." Sonic smiles back before the video chat ends.

The flight through Jerseyopolis is going smoothly until it suddenly wasn't. Something big and nasty crashes onto their hovercar and makes it very difficult for Tails to drive his friends away from skyscrapers. "What the…?!" The startled Amy exclaimed.
The culprit is a large Teryx Grimm sitting atop the car. It glares at the frightened heroes from outside the windshield, causing Spidey to quip, "Excuse me, you're blocking the view!"
Ruby uses her Teleportation Cross Art to warp outside the vehicle and decapitate the beast, allowing Tails to make a crash landing atop a building. Everyone survived unscathed as they exit their ride and see that a large Grimm horde is attacking the industrial city. "Oh great, the monster show's in town." Pit joked about the invasion.
BGM-Sonic Heroes OST-Grand Metropolis
"Grimm are everywhere. Is this the Hood's doing?" X wondered in concern for the city.
"Doubt these are his pets. Just out-of-place rapid animals that are tearing apart the city." Ruby grimaced.
"We'll crush every one of 'em! Let's show them our teamwork!" Sonic declared with a clenched fist, eager to rescue the city from the Grimm invasion.
The Dimensional Avengers spring into action, fighting from the high skies down to the energy roads of Jerseyopolis. A Razorwing was just minding its own business until a falling Sonic bounces off and distracts it to be killed by Pit, joined by Tails and Palutena in flight as they take charge in wiping out the aerial invaders. Sonic lands on Knuckles's high-gliding back just before Spidey unveils his Web Wings to glide alongside them. They catch up to Tails fighting Grimm, with Spidey assisting him with web shots that stuns them to be killed by Tails's Thunder Shoot using his fellow friendly mobians.
The energy roads littered everywhere propels anyone standing on them forward, in the case of Lucina and her tripping and sliding on her stomach. She rolls back up upon reaching solid ground to assist her more grounded friends in destroying more Grimm with a fierce dashing slash. Jin battles an Alpha Beowolf, easily knocking it down using his Shun Ren Dan throw so Amy can hammer it to death.
In the midst of X-Busting Grimm, X takes notice of a strange phenomenon in Weiss's battle with an Ursa Major. She shoots a fire wave from her Fire Dust, but instead of being harmed by it, the Ursa devours the attack by absorption. "Weiss! Stop using the Dust! They're feeding off of it!" He shouted.
"Since when could Grimm do that?" The shocked Weiss distracts herself, allowing the Ursa to absorb more Dust from her rapier and convert the energy into mouth lasers that she flips away with a glyph, allowing X to kill the beast with a Charge Shot. "AND fire lasers?!" She added.
'It's the Convergium Particles in their system! I just did a complete scan! They seem more unstable than the ones in your bodies.' Doctor Light informed the team through the comlink.
"They can mutate even Grimm?" Tails noted, countering a Nevermore's lasers with his own laser gun.
"Wish Simmons told us that earlier." Yang snarked, punching a Sabyr that tried to absorb the Dust in her gauntlets.
"Huntresses, avoid using Dust near the Grimm! Bright Eyes and Lady Lights! Need you to shine on the biggest crowds!" Spidey ordered.
Ruby and Palutena then pair up against the biggest Grimm horde in the city, attacking some to take their attention away from scared civilians. "Heavenly Silver Light!" Palutena calls out their crossover combo, surrounding the huntress with light that empowers the inner light in her Silver Eyes. Ruby had them closed to goad all the Grimm into rushing at her, opening them in time to unleash an explosion of blinding light that eviscerates the whole neighborhood of demons. The young huntress collapses onto a knee from that exhausting combo, taking a moment to catch her breath before being helped back up by the motherly goddess.
"The Grimm are sucking Dust off the road!" Blake announced, spotting Grimm absorbing energy from an energy road.
"How low can they go?" Sonic quipped, supporting the faunus in slaying them and restoring its power.
'They seem more focused in stealing energy than destroying the city. And I am detecting their Particles have been tampered with.' Dr. Light noted.
"Someone's controlling them?" Pit commented.
"And if their target is Dust and HEXAeco is experimenting with their energy, then that means…" Tails stares into the distance to find Grimm guarding a giant power plant. "They're conquering the Power Plant!" He shouted in realization.
"Looks like STRIKE is here!" Spidey noticed several STRIKE ships arriving in the city to counter the Grimm threat.
"We'll leave them to take care of the mess out here! We're heading to the Power Plant! Move out, team!" X proclaimed, leading the party to the Power Plant where more Grimm and surprises await them.

Power Plant Zone, Jerseyopolis.
A large rumbling hits HEXAeco's energy facility that is generating power for the massive metropolis. That is the sound of the Dimensional Avengers fighting against the Grimm outside. But two mysterious teens that are riding a hexagonal elevator don't know that. One of them being a messy-haired boy with a strange right arm and a face that is amazed by his unfamiliar surroundings. "Place looks like it was ripped from a video game. You sure this is the right way?" He asked his friend that he just met not too long ago.
"Yeah." His friend being an adorable Inhuman girl wearing a blue polymer suit. "I mean, I never actually been here before cuz the whole city changed so suddenly yesterday, but those black monsters didn't want us in here, so yeah, I think this is the right way. I think."
Unamused, the Mysterious Boy sighs, "You're not very good at this whole superhero thing, aren't ya?"
"Still new at this. Just like you are traveling between worlds. But I'll figure out something out. I don't call myself Ms. Marvel for nothing!" She reveals herself as Kamala Khan, the Magnificent Ms. Marvel, with a confident stance. "We'll save the city from those black things, then I can help you find the person you're looking for, Naoto." She then reveals her otherworldly friend to be Naoto Kurogane.
"Thanks. Right now I'm more concerned about saving your home. So let's find out how we're gonna do it." Naoto smiled, possessing a strong sense of justice and hiding a secretive mission.
A moment passes and the elevator brought the teens to an unknown area of the Power Plant. They walk out to explore, and as soon as they did, Ms. Marvel stops upon hearing someone close by. "Wait. I hear talking." She whispered to Naoto.
BGM-Project X Zone 2 OST-The Buzz of Shadows
The two move closer and quieter, hiding behind cover close to a room that controls the entire Power Plant. Carefully, they peak inside to find The Hood standing beside an unfamiliar elderly man with a robotic left eye performing nefarious deeds on a computer. Deeds that are linked to the Grimm and their Dust robberies across the city.
"Your Grimm things ain't so bad. Look at all the energy they're stealing. Can tell they'll be worth a high price on the black market." The Hood smiles at the security footage.
"A decent first test of the mysterious Fusion Particles. They possess numerous possibilities." The Grimm Scientist commented with an eerily calm and rational demeanor.
"As long as one of them is being henchmen for my gang. Just remember our deal. I'll fund your research and I get to use the Grimm for more robberies." The Hood said, revealing his partnership with this mysterious scientist that seem to have originated from Remnant.
"Acknowledged. Anything to further my research." The Grimm Scientist accepted his terms.
Ms. Marvel decided she has heard enough of their evil plot and goes to confront them, much to Naoto's quiet objection, "Ms. Marvel, wait."
"Surrender, villains! You're not taking control of my city any longer!" The reckless Ms. Marvel confronts the villains.
"Seems we have a guest." Hood quipped.
Teleporting out of sight, Hood surprises Kamala by reappearing behind her with several Centinel Grimm that coil around to immobilize her. "Ms. Marvel!" Naoto shouted, rushing to save her but instead gets pinned down by an Ursa Major. "Who are you?" He asked the villains through a scowl.
"Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce ourselves. My name's Dr. Merlot and this is my employer, The Hood. You don't know me and I most certainly don't know who you are. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled you're here. You might be exactly what I need for some important experiments." said Doctor Merlot. Introduced as the founder of Merlot Industries and self-proclaimed God of the Grimm.
"Have no idea what the hell you're talking about, but I'm guessing you're the reason this world is a mess!" Naoto retorted, blaming him for his home dimension being threatened.
"Preposterous. I just came back to life by an unknown factor. Perhaps it is because of the merging of dimensions. Irrelevant. All that matters is that I am back and refuse to allow any more children to interfere in my research." Merlot said with a threatening smile.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order OST-Bring on the Bad Guys
Ms. Marvel refuse to let him go through with his twisted experiments and decides to resist. The Centinels ensnaring her are too strong to break free with brute strength alone. So, she improvises, using her inhuman power to shapeshift and shrink to the size of an action figure, dropping out of the creatures' grasp to return the favor by enlarging her foot to giant size and squashing them. Then she enlarges her hand to slap the Ursa off of Naoto, who uses his own abnormal strength to kill it with one powerful punch.
"Sorry we're interfering." Kamala quips at the villains.
Remaining calm and eerie, Merlot commands the power plant to summon a large Grimm horde to assist Hood in fighting the teens. The same type of Grimm that love firing lasers. Kamala holds them all off while Naoto charges headfirst for the control room to stop the mad doctor, only to be repelled to the floor by a forcefield projected by the smirking genius. "Nah ah ah. Can't let you interrupt your elder while he takes full control over this company." Merlot taunted him.
Bullets from Hood force Kamala aback until she and Naoto are surrounded by the growling Grimm army. "There's a lot more of them than before. Any ideas?" Naoto asked her.
"Lemme grab my phone." Kamala replied whilst going through her pockets.
"To do what?" Naoto retorted with great worry in his face.
"Call the Avengers. And hope they pick up." Kamala quipped upon finding her cellphone.
Right on cue at spectacular speeds, the Amazing Spider-Man leapt into the air webbing numerous Grimm into a mighty web ball that he then uses to smash onto the horde and leave them immobilized. "You rang?" Spidey introduced himself to the new heroes with his signature humor.
"You!" Merlot exclaimed with rare genuine anger, strangely familiar with the masked marvel.
"Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh! Y-Y-YOU'RE Spider-Man! The Amazing Spider-Man!" Kamala fangirls at the legendary hero, which is shared to the other Dimensional Avengers upon their timely arrival, "And his Dimensional Avengers! This is a dream come true!"
"Great, it's you kids. Don't have time for this. I stole what I need." Hood groaned, teleporting away just a mere second before he was caught by Sonic.
"Shoot, he got away again!" Sonic scowled.
"And you thought Hood wasn't involved in this." Pit teased the annoyed Ruby.
"Whatever! We'll catch up to him later! Let's take care of business here first!" Ruby retorted whilst brandishing her weapon the Grimm.
The Dimensional Avengers joined the fray, assisting Kamala and Naoto in stopping Merlot's villainous plan. Not much is known about Naoto yet, but one can observe that he excels in martial arts, bombarding Grimm with a sweeping combo of jabs and kicks that is completed with a crouching uppercut that knocks them far and down. One Grimm charges at the kid, right before Kamala tags in with a lunging enlarged kick to the face that beats the beast. More Grimm come to overwhelm them, but only briefly thanks to Amy and Blake coming with the save.
"You guys okay?" Amy asked the newcomers.
Shifting back to her fangirl side, Kamala babbles, "Yeah, thanks for the save! I'm Ms. Marvel and I'm like your biggest fan ever! I know so much about you guys, from fighting Grima to beating the Trickster Gods to saving the Wisps from another dimension at a space amusement park to-!"
"Whoa, slow down!" Blake gestured her. "Ms. Marvel? You're the new superhero that I heard was protecting Jersey City." She noted, this being the same hero she hinted at during the car ride to this city.
"Yup, that's me." Kamala beamed from her adorable face.
"Named yourself after Carol's old identity. If I recall, you're one of the new Inhumans that were affected by the Terrigen Mist accident from some months back." Spider-Man realized in the midst of playing around with the deadly Grimm.
"Yup again. Been putting my powers to good use since then." Kamala stated.
"So I've heard." Spidey acknowledged her good work.
"Less chitchat, more fighting!" Knuckles exclaimed whilst holding back a Creep.
"I agree with the red thing!" Naoto commented upon kicking away the Creep.
"I'M AN ECHIDNA!" Knuckles furiously shouted at the embarrassed teen.
"Oh, right, sorry, my bad. EMBIGGEN!" Kamala returns her focus to the fight by enlarging both fists to crush the enemies in front of her.
"You're a polymorph. Cool power, Ms. Marvel!" Tails commented.
"Let me show off a bit." Naoto taps into his own unique power derived from his soul. The ability to draw blood from his strange right arm and harden it to take the shape of a blade. "Bloodedge!" He voiced with fury that pushes him to slash at numerous Grimm until they dissipate into nothing.
"Did you just make a weapon out of your own blood?" The amazed X questioned the bloodbender.
"THAT'S SO COOL!" Ruby exclaimed with brief excitement in her weapon-obsessed eyes.
"And weird, I know, but that's just how my Drive works." Naoto responded.
"A Drive, huh? Guessing you're not from this world." Palutena noted.
"Doesn't look like a lot of us are." Naoto quipped, continuing to use his blood-bending powers to dwindle more Grimm forces.
"You're not getting in the way of my plans again, Spider-Man!" The arrogant Merlot claimed at the hero from behind his forcefield.
"I'm sorry, do I know you? All you mad scientists look the same to me." Spidey snarked, stylishly taking control of a Megoliath using his webs.
"I am Dr. Merlot. I once worked alongside Norman Osborn in his inane bid to destroy you and conquer Remnant." Merlot revealed his past history with other dimensions.
"That Dr. Merlot…As in the Merlot Industries one?" Weiss commented, having heard of the corrupt corporation that experimented on Grimm.
"Oh yeah, I remember now. Goblin roasted your butt after I kicked your butt. Looks like the Tablet revived you too. Things with the laser-breathing Grimm are making sense." Spidey realized, riding the Megoliath and forcing it into ramming through numerous demons until all but a few remain. Yet Merlot looks like he still has one last trick up his sleeve.
"Joke all you want. You won't best me a second time. Not while I have THIS." Merlot proclaimed upon pressing a button.
Descending down from an elevator is the Grimm Scientist's newest creation that Spidey's Megoliath is charging right for. A powerful and large hybrid that looks like a Death Stalker but sports a Cenitaur as a tail. A Cenitaur Stalker. Fast enough to use its tail's bladed arms to smack the Webslinger off his mount. "Your tail has a little something. Recommend you find a less crazy doctor to amputate that." Spidey joked at the Fusion Grimm.
The Cenitaur Stalker confronts all the heroes to give them some trouble, with the main body focused in smacking the closer enemies and the face tail spitting acid at those attacking from a distance simultaneously. "That is disgusting! Are they, like, fused together? How is that possible?" Ms. Marvel commented, avoiding acid spit in the process.
"It's because of the Convergium Particles." Jin realized, throwing a punch that is brutally deflected by the fusion's pincers.
"Is that what you're calling them? I like it. Yes, I have been experimenting with the Convergium Particles ever since I discovered their presence within the Grimm but lack the funds and advanced resources to stabilize their condition. The Hood found out and we struck a deal that would benefit the both of us. His money for my research and my Grimm for his criminal empire. Everyone wins." Merlot explained his evil plan to them.
"Why risk your life working with another crimeboss when the last one literally fired you?" Ruby retorted, deflecting more attacks from the fusion monster.
"Osborn forced me into cooperation. Claiming his Goblins was superior to the Grimm. Seeing how you all are still alive is proof that his research ended in failure. Unlike him, the Hood recognizes the Grimms' limitless potential and wants to put it to good use. Destroying you with this prototype will accumulate for me fascinating data." Merlot proclaimed.
"This guy has some loose screws." Naoto snarked.
"All mad scientists do. Let's wreck his research!" Sonic declared with support from the nodding bloodbender.
The Cenitaur Stalker is smashed through a wall then bombarded with energy blasts from Palutena whilst attempting a counter-attacking with its Cenitaur half. The bloated centipede nearly ambushes the goddess, clashing blades with her staff until she is distracted from the scorpion body spitting a laser that knocks her down. The centipede tail then spits acid at her, blocked by Pit's Guardian Orbitar that leads into Yang firing a stinging shot at the tail. "Hurry and cut the tail!" Lucina commanded whilst she and Weiss rush to combat the fused monster. They are supported by X pinning down its pincers with Lightning Web, Spidey webbing the Cenitaur's acidic mouth, and Sonic stomping on the main body, all in rapid succession. The two swordswomen block and parries the centipede's melee attacks, long enough for Ruby to teleport and cut it down from behind.
"Is that what I think it is?" Meanwhile, Tails finds out their fight is taking place next to a large reactor that is key in winning this day. "It is! Guys! Toss the Grimm into this energy storage tank!" He ordered his friends.
The quadruple uppercut from multiple sides from Knuckles, Yang, Jin, and Naoto complies to Tails's order and the Cenitaur Stalker is knocked high into the air for Ms. Marvel to catch with a giant hand. She reels it back as if she's a baseball pitcher, envisioning the reactor as a goalpost. "She shoots, she scores!" Kamala shouted alongside a mighty throw that tosses the Fusion Grimm straight into the energy storage tank.
"GOAL!" Tails gestured cheerily, ignoring the fused monster melting into a gruesome death.
"No! Nooooo! My one-of-a-kind hybrid specimen! This is inconceivable!" Merlot reacts with great horror at the loss of his prototype monster.
"No kidding." Spidey said, casually standing next to the startled scientist after disabling his forcefield when he wasn't looking.
"How did you get in here?!" Merlot retorted.
"I hacked. You're not the only genius in town. Though I will clarify that you are the dumbest." Spidey quipped, kicking the madman out of the control room so Ruby can imprison him in an Interdimensional Orb, ending his mankind-ending experiments with the Grimm.

BGM-Project X Zone 2 OST-Because It's The Right Path
"That's another baddie for the collection. How's the city looking?" Sonic asked, playing around with Merlot's orb.
"A-Okay. Energy is being restored and the local Grimm have been exterminated." Tails proclaimed, interacting with the control room's systems to liberate all of Jerseyopolis of Merlot's influence.
"Using Grimm as petty robbers. The Hood's creative, I'll give him that." Weiss commented.
"So how did you two get involved in this?" X asked their new friends.
In response, Ms. Marvel says, "Well long story short, I was minding my own business when my new friend here from another dimension showed up needing help with something. Next thing we knew we were fighting Grimm, saw them eating roads, and decided to come to the Power Plant to investigate. We didn't know The Hood and that Merlot guy was behind this."
"Neither did we. The Hood is building a new criminal empire that'll help him dethrone the Kingpin. That's why he helped Merlot with his Grimm experiments and why he stole the Tablet." Spider-Man told her.
"What Tablet?" Kamala questioned.
"The Lifeline Tablet." Spidey answered.
"Oh yeah, think I've heard about that one. Super dangerous." Kamala commented.
"And what's your story? Ms. M said you came from another dimension." Sonic asked upon confronting the mysterious Naoto.
"Yeah. Name's Naoto Kurogane. I'm from another Earth that was literally pushed into this one through a dimensional rift by my vampire friend." Naoto introduced himself to the Dimensional Avengers.
"Friends with a vampire. That explains the arm." Palutena commented, looking at his right arm.
"You noticed, huh. My old one was cut off and I was left for dead until my friend replaced it with her blood." Naoto frowns at his unique prosthetic.
"Sounds nicer than the vampires that I know. One of them is literally a vampire hunter." Spidey quipped.
"Well I hope I never run into that while I'm stuck here." Naoto sassed.
"Why did your friend force you into this world?" Ruby asked him.
"Don't know. She was being cryptic and wanted me to search for someone." Naoto replied.
"The person behind the dimensional rifts? We're looking into that too." Amy commented, believing that who he is referring to.
"You must be from one of the Cross Spaces linked by the Convergence. This world was born from the merger of three dimensions while the other Cross Spaces were hit by some anomalies. Most likely the dimensional rifts that brought you here." Palutena explained to the oblivious half-vampire.
"You're saying my world's in trouble?" Naoto asked with a worried look.
"Possibly. And your friend sent you here to help us." Palutena claimed.
"Wouldn't be the first time she made me do something ridiculous. Still, that's a tall order. Never dealt with anything like this before." Naoto frowns with doubt that he can be much help in this multiversal crisis.
"That's why we have STRIKE! You and Ms. Marvel can join us. You two have potential to be great heroes, and we need all the help we can get." Spidey encouraged him to help them save the world.
"For real?! This is another dream come true! Yeah, I'll join! This'll be so super awesome!" Kamala expressed, completely stoked to join the multiverse's mightiest heroes.
"My worst fears have come to life. We have found another Ruby." Weiss dryly joked, much to Ruby's amusement.
With a scoffing smile, Naoto voices his decision, "Sounds fun. Count me in too."
"Welcome aboard, new friends." Ruby smiled, shaking hands with her newest allies. "Now let's head to the Jersey Docks. That is where the Hood is hiding. Time for us to show up unannounced." She declared, determined to stop The Hood from completing his empire.

KFX Here: Gotta admit, the latter half of this chapter was a pain to write and I don't feel too proud about it. Originally, this chapter was going to feature the Jersey Docks battle but had to be cut because of pacing issues and length. Next chapter will definitely focus on The Hood. Anyway, Naoto Kurogane of BlazBlue has joined the series. He'll be the main representative as a guest star in this story. No Ragna, sorry. This isn't the Naoto that was brought here from the middle of BlazBlue: Centralfiction's plot or anything like that. His story here is more…anew. Also, I brought Dr. Merlot back into the series because this series needs more RWBY villains that aren't named Salem or Torchwick.
