Lysandre Labs (Part One)
At the Lumiose City Pokemon Center, Nazz was picking up her Pokemon from the nurse after having them treated after their battles at the Battle Chateau.
"All right, guys; you ready to win our final badges?" asked Kevin.
"You bet!" replied Jonny.
"Rolf is also ready." said Rolf.
"Then what are we doing standing around?" said Nazz.
"Yeah, let's get going." said Kevin. As the group reached into their pockets to pull out the pokeballs containing the Pokemon that knew fly, Jonny looks past Kevin to see two members of Team Flare walking towards a red building.
"Hey; isn't that Team Flare?" asked Jonny, pointing at the Team Flare members, making the others look.
"Yeah, I think it is." replied Kevin. They watched the two Team Flare members enter the building.
"What are those good for nothings up to?" asked Rolf.
"Probably something uncool." said Nazz.
"Let's check it out; I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my next gym battle with those dorks on my mind." said Kevin. The group runs to the building; they look up at the sign that read 'Lysandre Cafe'.
"What would Team Flare want in a cafe?" asked Nazz.
"Coffee, probably." said Kevin. The group entered the cafe; they looked around and to their surprise, they couldn't see the Team Flare members anywhere.
"Where did those guys go?" asked Jonny, looking around.
"I have no clue." replied Nazz. Jonny sees a waiter and walks over to him.
"Excuse me; but did you see two guys in red suits come in here?" asked Jonny.
"Yes." replied the waiter. "Welcome to the Lysandre Cafe; our special today is get out of here or else!" The waiter pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Hey, what's your problem, man?" asked Kevin.
"Guys; I think this guy works for Team Flare." said Nazz. The waiter, now revealed to be a Team Flare member, throws the pokeball and releases an orange bipedal, lizard like Pokemon that had what appeared to be a red mohawk on its head, and yellow skin hanging from its shoulders and around the lower half of its body and tail. Nazz pulls the pokedex out of her pocket and points it at the Pokemon.
"Scrafty, the Hoodlum Pokemon, and the evolved form of Scraggy. It can smash concrete blocks with its kicking attacks. The one with the biggest crest is the group leader." said the pokedex. Jonny pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Ninjask, go!" said Jonny, throwing Ninjask's pokeball and releasing him. "Ninjask, Screech!" Ninjask lets out a yell and releases soundwaves onto Scrafty, weakening its defense.
"Scrafty, use Feint Attack!" said the Team Flare member. Scrafty jumps to the side and disappears; it appears next to Ninjask and rams him. Ninjask begins surging with energy from his Speed Boost ability and his speed increases.
"Use Slash!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Scrafty and slashes it with his right forearm claw, damaging it.
"Use Crunch!" said the Team Flare member. Scrafty runs at Ninjask while its mouth was opened, and his teeth were glowing.
"Double Team!" said Jonny. Ninjask splits into several copies of himself. Scrafty bites onto one of the Ninjasks, but it was only a copy. "Now use Fury Cutter!" The real Ninjask flies at Scrafty and slashes it with his claw, damaging it; Ninjask begins surging with energy and his speed increases.
"Scrafty, Chip Away!" said the Team Flare member. Scrafty begins striking Ninjask with its hands, knocking Ninjask back.
"Fury Cutter!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Scrafty and slashes it with his forearm claw, knocking Scrafty to the floor, unconscious.
"No!" exclaimed the Team Flare member.
"Great job, Ninjask." said Jonny. The Team Flare member drops to his knees and returns Scrafty to its pokeball; then throws pokedolllars at Jonny's feet. As Jonny picks up pokedollars, Nazz begins walking around the cafe when a waitress approaches her.
"Today's special is a SCRAM-ble if you don't leave!" said the waitress, pulling a pokeball out of her pocket.
"I take it you're a member of Team Flare also." said Nazz, pulling a pokeball out of her pocket.
"Yes, I am." replied the waitress, now revealed to be another member of Team Flare. "Liepard, go!" She throws the pokeball and releases a Liepard.
"Farfetch'd, go!" said Nazz, throwing Farfetch'd's pokeball and releasing him.
"Liepard, Fake Out!" said the Team Flare member. Liepard runs at Liepard and stops a a foot away from him before it clapped its front paws, releasing a shock wave that hits him, damaging him.
"Farfetch'd, use Swords Dance!" Farfetch'd jumps up and spins around, increasing his attack strength.
"What?! Why didn't your Farfetch'd flinch?" asked the Team Flare member.
"My Farfetch'd has the Inner Focus ability, which prevents him from flinching." replied Nazz.
"Liepard, Hone Claws!" said the Team Flare member. Liepard's claws glowed red, and it becomes surrounded by an orange aura, increasing its attack strength.
"Farfetch'd, Fury Cutter!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd leaps at Liepard and slashes it with his leek, dealing super effective damage.
"Liepard, Fury Swipes!" said the Team Flare member. Liepard leaps at Farfetch'd and repeatedly claws him, damaging him.
"Farfetch'd, Fury Cutter again!" said Nazz. Farfetch'd runs at Liepard and slashes it with his leek, dealing enough damage to knock it out.
"I can't believe it!" exclaimed the Team Flare member.
"Way to go, Farfetch'd." said Nazz. Farfetch'd nods in response. The Team Flare member returns Liepard to its pokeball and throws pokedollars at Nazz's feet.
"I hope this group doesn't find out about the hidden door." muttered the Team Flare member.
"Hidden door?" asked Nazz who was picking up the pokedollars, making the Team Flare member cover her mouth.
"As least you didn't say the password." said the male Team Flare member.
"Probably don't know what it was anyway." said Kevin.
"Yes, I do, it's open sesame!" exclaimed the Team Flare member before covering his mouth; a shelf that was against a wall moves aside, revealing a hidden door.
"Talk about stupid." said Kevin. Jonny and Nazz return their Pokemon to their pokeballs and the group walk towards the door.
"You kids get away from there!" yelled the female Team Flare member. Kevin pulls out a pokeball.
"And just how are you going to stop us?" asked Kevin. The Team Flare member nervously steps away from the door; the group entered through the door; the group walks down a flight of stairs and find themselves in a large area.
"What is this place?" asked Rolf.
"Welcome." said a male voice. The group looks to see a man with red hair and beard, wearing a black suit with a gray fluffy collar, black dress shoes, and black fingerless gloves walking over to them.
"Who are you, man?" asked Kevin.
"I am Lysandre." replied the man, now identified as Lysandre.
"Are you working for Team Flare?" asked Kevin.
"I am the leader." replied Lysandre.
"So, you're the head dork?" asked Kevin, making Lysandre frown in response.
"I heard a group of kids are interfering with my organization; I assume you're the kids." said Lysandre.
"You bet we are." said Jonny.
"I cannot allow you brats to interfere with my plan." said Lysandre.
"What exactly are you up to?" asked Kevin.
"This world has become an ugly place." said Lysandre. "I plan to wipe out most of this world's population and return it to an unspoiled state."
"What?! That is so uncool!" exclaimed Nazz.
"Just how are you going to pull that off?" asked Kevin.
"3,000 years ago, a king nearly used a weapon to wipe out all life in this region." said Lysandre. "A Pokemon were used in the creation of this weapon; Yveltal."
"I remember Professor Sycamore telling us about that Pokemon." said Nazz.
"And with that weapon, I will eliminate everyone not part of Team Flare." said Lysandre.
"What?!" exclaimed Kevin.
"But there won't be anyone to battle at the Kalos League!" exclaimed Jonny.
"Even us!" said Nazz. Kevin steps forward while pulling out a pokeball.
"We've spent days training our Pokemon, battling gym leaders to be able to compete in the Kalos League, and I'm not going to let a dork like you mess that up!" exclaimed Kevin.
"Do you wish to stop me?" asked Lysandre as he pulls out a pokeball.
"You bet I do." said Kevin. Lysandre throws his pokeball, releasing a small, yellow, bipedal Pokemon with round ears, red arms that look like sleeves, a red ring around its torso, and red legs. Kevin takes the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokemon. In fights, they dominate with onslaughts of flowing, continuous attacks. With their sharp claws, they cut enemies." said the pokedex.
"Whatever." said Kevin as he takes out a pokeball and throws it, releasing his Vivillon.
"Mienfoo, use Fake out!" said Lysandre. The Mienfoo quickly moves at Vivillon and slaps its hands together in front of her face, surprising her and making her fall to the floor. "Now use Swift!" said Lysandre. The Mienfoo spins around, making stars fly out of it, hitting Vivillon.
"Vivillon, use Draining Kiss!" said Kevin. Vivillon flies at the Mienfoo and plants a kiss on it, draining it of stamina that's used to heal herself.
"Mienfoo, use Force Palm!" said Lysandre. Mienfoo moves towards Vivillon and thrusts its palm into Vivillon, not doing a lot of damage; Vivillon suddenly starts to twitch.
"I think Vivillon's paralyzed, Kevin." said Nazz.
"That won't stop us!" said Kevin. Vivillon spreads her wings out, breaking the paralysis.
"Impressive." said Lysandre.
"That's nothing." said Kevin. "Vivillon, use Psybeam!" Vivillon fires off a beam of psychic energy that hits Mienfoo, doing super effective damage to it; it suddenly starts stumbling around.
"Mienfoo's confused, Kevin!" said Jonny.
"Mienfoo, use Force Palm again!" said Lysandre. The Mienfoo tries to move at Vivillon, but it runs into a wall instead, knocking it out.
"Ha! How did you like that, dork?" Kevin asked Lysandre, making him growl as he returns Mienfoo to its pokeball.
"That's not the only Pokemon I have at my disposal, young man!" said Lysandre as he puts Mienfoo's pokeball away and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing a Pyroar.
"Dude, he has a Pyroar also." said Nazz.
"Pyroar, use Flamethrower!" shouts Lysandre. Pyroar opens its mouth and breathes out a large stream of fire from it, hitting Vivillon, doing enough super effective damage to knock her out.
"Whoa!" said Jonny.
"This trainer is quite strong." said Rolf.
"Whatever." said Kevin as he returns Vivillon to her pokeball. "You were great, dudette." He puts the pokeball away and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing his Tyrantrum.
"Pyroar, use Crunch!" said Lysandre. The Pyroar runs at Tyrantrum and bites down on him with dark energy-coated teeth, doing damage, and lowering his defense.
"Tyrantrum, use Earthquake!" said Kevin. Tyrantrum stomps on the ground, sending a powerful shockwave through the floor that hits the Pyroar, doing super effective damage.
"Pyroar, use another Crunch!" said Lysandre. Pyroar runs at Tyrantrum and bites him again, along with lowering his defense further.
"Tyrantrum, use Rock Smash!" said Kevin. Tyrantrum runs over to Pyroar and swings his tail down onto Pyroar, doing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Way to go, Kevin!" said Nazz. Lysandre returns his Pyroar to its pokeball, then pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing a dark navy-blue, birdlike Pokemon. Kevin points the pokedex at it.
"Murkrow, the Darkness Pokemon. Feared and loathed by many, it is believed to bring misfortune to all those who see it at night." said the pokedex.
"Murkrow, use Feint Attack!" said Lysandre. Murkrow flies to Tyrantrum's right, then quickly disappears then reappears from his left and hits him.
"Tyrantrum, use Ancient Power!" said Kevin. Tyrantrum summons up four rocks that have fossils in them, and launches them at the Murkrow, hitting it, doing super effective damage, and giving him an all-stat increase.
"Murkrow, use Assurance!" said Lysandre. Murkrow flies at Tyrantrum and thrusts its talons into him, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"No way!" said Nazz. "How can a dinosaur lose to a bird?" Kevin returns his Tyrantrum to his pokeball.
"You were awesome." said Kevin. He puts the pokeball away and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing his Talonflame. "Okay, dude; use Quick Attack!" Talonflame flies at the Murkrow at fast speed and slams into it.
"Murkrow, use Wing Attack!" said Lysandre. Murkrow flies at Talonflame, and strikes him with one of its wings.
"Talonflame, Flame Charge!" said Kevin. Talonflame's body becomes coated in fire as he flies at the Murkrow, and slams into it, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Nice one, Kevin!" said Jonny. Lysandre returns his Murkrow to its pokeball.
"This is my last Pokemon." said Lysandre as he puts his Murkrow's pokeball away and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing a large, blue, serpentlike Pokemon with a three-pointed crest on its forehead, yellow underbelly, sharp teeth, and fins going along its back.
"That Pokemon doesn't look friendly." said Nazz. Kevin points the pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Gyarados, the Atrocious Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magikarp. Rarely seen in the wild. Huge and vicious, it is capable of destroying entire cities in a rage." said the pokedex.
"This Pokemon sounds tough." said Kevin. The Gyarados growls at Talonflame, making it nervous.
"My Gyarados has the Intimidate ability; it weakens the attack power of its opponent." said Lysandre.
"Whatever." said Kevin. "Talonflame, use Quick Attack!" Talonflame flies at the Gyarados at fast speed and slams into it.
"Gyarados, use Hydro Pump!" said Lysandre. Gyarados opens its mouth and releases a powerful torrent of water from it that hits Talonflame, doing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Man, that Pokemon is strong!" said Jonny. Kevin returns his Talonflame to his pokeball.
"You were awesome." said Kevin. He puts Talonflame's pokeball away, and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing his Venusaur. He then uses his Mega Ring to turn his Venusaur to Mega Venusaur.
"Gyarados, use Ice Fang!" said Lysandre. Gyarados' fangs become coated in ice as it bites down on Mega Venusaur, doing super effective damage.
"Good thing Mega Venusaur has that Thick Fat ability." said Nazz.
"Mega Venusaur, use Sleep Powder!" said Kevin. Mega Venusaur releases some blue pollen from the flower on his back that covers Gyarados' face, making it drowsy, and fall asleep.
"Gyarados, wake up, and use Ice Fang again!" said Lysandre; but Gyarados didn't wake up.
"Mega Venusaur, use Razor Leaf!" said Kevin. Mega Venusaur releases a barrage of leaves at Gyarados, hitting it multiple times.
"Gyarados, wake up!" shouts Lysandre, but it still wouldn't do so.
"Mega Venusaur, use Seed Bomb!" said Kevin. Mega Venusaur launches large seeds at Gyarados that explode on contact; damaging the Gyarados; but also waking it up.
"Now use Ice Fang again!" said Lysandre. The Gyarados bites down on Mega Venusaur with another ice-coated bite, doing more super effective damage.
"I gotta end this!" said Kevin. "Use Double-Edge!" Mega Venusaur charges at the Gyarados and slams into it with all his might, hurting himself in the process, but doing enough damage to knock it out.
"NOOO!" shouts Lysandre.
"Kevin won!" said Nazz.
"Boy, that guy was tough." said Jonny.
"Rolf is glad that Kevin still won." said Rolf. Mega Venusaur returns to his normal state and drops to the floor from exhaustion.
"You okay, dude." asked Kevin. Venusaur weakly nods in response. Lysandre returns his Gyarados to its pokeball.
"You are quite the strong trainer." said Lysandre.
"You got that right." said Kevin.
"This loss will not deter my plans." said Lysandre. He tosses pokedollars to Kevin and runs to an open elevator and enters it before the doors closed. Kevin rushes to the elevator to push the button, only to see a keyhole where the buttons should be.
"Well, that's just great; this is one of those elevators that need a key." said Kevin.
"Now what do we do?" asked Nazz.
"Let's see what we can find here." said Kevin. The group begins to look around the area.
"Hey! You're those brats from the Kalos Power Plant!" a familiar voice calls out to them. The group looked to see Aliana.
"I believe you are that Aliana woman from the Kalos Power Plant." said Rolf.
"Looks like I have the opportunity to make you brats pay for your interference at the power plant." said Aliana while pulling out a pokeball.
"Rolf will take this woman on." said Rolf, pulling out a pokeball.
"Take her down, man." said Kevin. Aliana throws her pokeball, releasing a Mightyena; Rolf throws his, releasing his Beedrill.
"Mightyena, use Bite!" shouts Aliana. The Mightyena runs at Beedrill, and bites down on her; fortunately, she doesn't flinch.
"Beedrill, use Twineedle!" said Rolf. Beedrill flies at the Mightyena and jabs both her arm stingers into it, doing super effective damage; the Mightyena suddenly started to look ill.
"Looks like it's poisoned, dude." said Kevin.
"Mightyena, use Tackle!" said Aliana. The Mightyena runs at Beedrill and rams into her; it suddenly loses stamina thanks to the poison in itself.
"Beedrill, use Venoshock!" said Rolf. Beedrill fires off a purple liquid from her stingers that hit Mightyena, doing twice as much damage as it normally would've thanks to Mightyena's condition, and knocking it out.
"Good one, Rolf!" said Nazz. Aliana growls as she returns her MIghtyena to its pokeball; she puts it away and pulls out another one and throws it, releasing a large, blue, dragonlike Pokemon with a cream-colored belly, a red head with spikes on it, plus parts of its body, along with wings on its back.
"What's that?" asked Jonny as he takes the pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Druddigon, the Cave Pokemon. It warms its body by absorbing sunlight with its wings. When its body temperature falls, it can no longer move." said the pokedex.
"Druddigon, Flamethrower!" said Aliana. The Druddigon opens its mouth, and releases a large stream of fire out from it that hits Beedrill, doing enough super effective damage to knock her out.
"NOO, Beedrill!" said Nazz.
"Man, the dorks here are tough." said Kevin. Rolf returns his Beedrill to her pokeball.
"You did good, Beedrill." said Rolf. He puts Beedrill's pokeball away, and pulls out another one; he throws it, releasing his Diggersby. "Diggersby, use Quick Attack!" Diggersby moves towards the Druddigon at fast speed and slams into it; Diggersby rubs his shoulder in pain.
"What's wrong with Diggersby?" asked Nazz.
"My Druddigon has the Rough Skin ability." said Aliana. "It hurts any Pokemon that hits him with an attack that requires physical contact."
"Gotta be careful not to touch that Pokemon, dude." said Kevin.
"Druddigon, use Dragon Tail!" said Aliana. The Druddigon's tail glowed green as he swings it at Diggersby, hitting him, and knocking him back; all of a sudden, Diggersby goes back into his pokeball.
"What sorcery is this?" asked Rolf.
"Dragon Tail sends the Pokemon it hits back to its pokeball." said Aliana. One of Rolf's other pokeballs opens up, releasing his Delphox. "It also forces another of your Pokemon to come out."
"Very well." said Rolf. "Delphox, use Psyshock!" Delphox holds out her staff and fires off a purple beam of psychic energy from it that hits the Druddigon.
"Good choice, dude." said Kevin. "Use attacks that won't make her to touch it."
"Druddigon, use Crunch!" said Aliana. The Druddigon moves at Delphox and bites down on her, doing super effective damage, and lowers her defense.
"Delphox, use Psybeam!" said Rolf. Delphox holds out her staff again and fires off another beam of psychic energy, hittting the Druddigon; he suddenly starts to stagger around.
"That Druddigon's confused, Rolf!" said Jonny.
"Druddigon, use Crunch again!" said Aliana. The Druddigon manages to make it over to Delphox and bites her again, doing more super effective damage, and lowering her defense some more. A red aura suddenly flares up, enveloping Delphox.
"That must be Delphox's Blaze ability!" said Kevin.
"Delphox, use Flamethrower!" shouts Rolf. Delphox holds out her staff and releases a powered-up stream of fire from it that hits the Druddigon, and even though it wasn't that effective, it was enough to knock it out.
"NOO!" shouts Aliana. "That was my last Pokemon!"
"Rolf is the victor!" said Rolf.
"Nice one, man!" said Kevin.
"Way to go, dude!" said Nazz. Aliana growls before returning her Druddigon to his pokeball.
"This isn't over!" shouts Aliana as she throws pokedollars at Rolf, then runs off somewhere.
"Let's look around some more." said Kevin as Rolf picks up the pokedollars that Aliana threw. The group continues to look around the area until they reached the other end of it; on it was a door. The group opened the door and saw it led into a room that had desks with computers on them and they walked inside; standing on the other side of the room were the two masked people they met at the Kalos Power Plant.
"Hey, it's those masked people from the power plant." said Jonny, getting their attention; the masked people walked over to them.
"What are you guys doing here?" asked Nazz.
"We came here at a certain professor's request; to stop Team Flare." said the masked boy. "We're also looking for a tall man; we received some intelligence that Team Flare is trying to find him for some reason."
"His relationship with Team Flare is a mystery." said the masked girl.
"Well, we found out that Team Flare is going to use some weapon to wipe out people not part of their dumb group." said Kevin, surprising the masked duo.
"Maybe if we look around this place some more, we can find out more about what they're planning." said Nazz.
"Very well; but don't do anything reckless." said the masked boy. The group then turn and left the room; will they be able to stop Team Flare from wiping out the world's population? Find out as their adventure continues.
