Trek BBS 11: March/April 2024 Challenge: In the late 24th century, Briggs and Veker of the U.S.S. Phoenix-X become trapped in Cetacean Ops with after a software conflict locks its doors and submerges them in water.

Very loosely set in the Star-Trek universe. The Vulcans don't hold that much influence. Earth takes to the stars, dedicated to stay there. I don't own Star Trek, the protagonists are mine though.
