"Come on, come on!" Hasira giggled as she raced ahead of Pulse.

It was their last day with Ulysses.

Hasira was excited to go back.

Pulse would be excited to go back, as he loved learning from school, but he couldn't help but worry.

What if Paarthurnax has the whole town against me by now? I'll surely be run out of town if he has Ruri and her little minions backing him up.

It would be even worse if they managed to meet Majnun and Izar. They would surely tattletale on him.

Hasira and Pulse were both in the forest exploring it.

A few Wurmple were out there as well watching them for whatever reason.

It was weird.

Pulse shuddered.

I never really liked Bug-types. They're the most useless type ever. Pulse thought as the leader of these Wurmple, a purple shiny Wurmple approached them.

Pulse kept the ember move in the back of his mind in case he needed it.

"Hello?" He questioned with an arched eyebrow.

"May we help you?"

The leader gazed up at him with big wide black eyes, her back arched so she could gaze up at him.

"Yes, you may help us." She squeaked out, getting slightly closer when Pulse put an paw near his ear so he could hear her better.

"What is it?" He asked, blinking in curiosity.

His paws itched for him to burn these guys alive, but something told him they weren't much a threat at the moment.

Plus they were cute.

Far cuter than Hasira that's for sure.

"Have you seen an Absol around here?" The Wurmple asked him.

Pulse's eyes widened.

Did they mean Majnun?

"I mean, I have, but I haven't seen him recently. If you're even looking for this Absol." Pulse remarked.

The Wumple's eyes widened.

"There's only one Absol in this woods. Where did you last see him?" The shiny asked him with worry in her gaze.

She glanced around as if she figured she would find him nearby.

"Wait you met an Absol? Wow! Did he have a cool horn?! Did he use it? Did he—" Hasira began before the shiny Wurmple cleared her throat.

This quieted the female.

"The last time I saw him around here was at house with a Flareon shaped roof. Why?" Pulse wondered.

The Wurmple didn't question why he was near the house, but the Wurmple's eyes went even wider if that was even possible with how wide they were earlier.

The Wurmple then turned to one of the other Wurmple, a pretty light blue one with yellow eyes.

"Miyuki, could you please hand me my clipboard with the piece of paper on it and an pen? I need to write something down." The purple Wurmple requested with a white stubby limb extended to take the requested items.

The young blue female Wurmple reached into a huge bag nearby, falling into the bag as she tried to reach in with her short thorny paws.

How were they able to carry that all the way here? It was ten times their size.

Miyuki brought out the pen with an exhausted huff. She handed the writing utensil to the Purple Wurmple with a shy expression on her face.

"H-here you g-go!" She stuttered as the purple Wurmple grabbed the pen out of the blue's thorny paw.

The blue one shook slightly as their thorny paws brushed lightly, and she immediately retracted her paw.

Pulse noticed she didn't like attention either.

She was saying away from the other Wurmple as well. She must not be used to these guys. She must've been new to them or new to whatever this job was.

Or perhaps this is some weird new police force. They won't last a day out there. They're bug types. They'll easily get squashed by even the tiniest of Skwovets.

Pulse thought it was a cute effort, but a useless one nonetheless.

He also found it weird they were looking for Majnun.

It made him wonder why they were even looking for him.

Did he do something wrong, or are they a search team?

Miyuki then reached back into the bag and handed the shiny Wurmple a clipboard with a piece of paper attached to it.

The purple Wurmple smiled at Miyuki.

"Thank you, Miyuki."

Miyuki only shied away, blushing slightly.

She was trying to hide herself under her thorny paws. She seemed a bit embarrassed, yet pleased at the praise.

Most of the other Wurmple were smiling at the young Wurmple.

"She's so cute." One of them whispered to another.

The other, a guy, simply nodded with a smirk.

"Anyways, where was this Flareon house you speak of?" The Purple Wurmple asked, jotting down the last of what she was trying to write down.

Whatever it was, it was kept short.

"It was to the left of this forest I believe. I don't remember where exactly, but it should be just outside the forest if you look there." Pulse explained, remembering his escape route that night.

The purple Wurmple jotted that down, mumbling to herself before looking up at him.

"One more question." She informed him, finishing up her writing.

"Did you know that Absol is a wanted outlaw around here?"

Pulse's eyes widened in shock.

So that's why he wasn't going to turn me in. So then what was happening back then...why did he suddenly help Izar? Was it because I hurt her? I mean I didn't kill her. He should be grateful!

Pulse gritted his teeth in anger.

"What?! He's a outlaw?!" He expressed.

Hasira gasped.

"You could have been hurt by that Absol!"

She reached out and hugged him, her tail wagging.

Pulse huffed.

It wasn't like he wouldn't have been able to deal with him if it came to that even before Izar was brought into the mess.

But he accepted her hug despite hating hugs.

He wrapped a paw around her hesitantly, rolling his eyes at her strange antics.

He still found her super ugly, but found her tolerable to hang around.

The purple Wurmple watched their interaction with a slight, yet grim smile.

"Yes," she responded.

"He's very dangerous. He murdered his own father, and took advantage of his sister."

Hasira gasped while Pulse gave a weird look.

"What the fuck?" He questioned.

Doesn't this guy know that's incest?

The part about taking advantage of his sister got him more than the Murder of his own father. That reminded him much of himself.

He killed his own father too, but he didn't have a sister. Though, if he did he probably would have just convinced her it was Ruri too like the town.

He didn't really have any siblings really.

He supposed he did have a cousin or two, but they rarely visited him and didn't matter to him at all.

"I know it's very disturbing." The purple Wurmple remarked as Miyuki shuddered.

"Why would he take advantage of his own sister?" Hasira wondered.

It was like wondering why he didn't just take advantage of someone else. It was disturbing either way.

Pulse knew there was something off about this Majnun. He just didn't realize he was some kind of predator.

He was nice to Pulse, though.

Maybe he sensed something about me?

Pulse could only guess.

The question was left unanswered as the blue Wurmple put back the clipboard and pen, shyly glancing at her purple counterpart in hope of something.

"Good work, Miyuki. Now, we've asked you these questions because we found out he lives in this forest, and an Jolteon is missing from her home. We found a Sylveon and a Flareon dead in their homes after the police force had reported that a Pokémon broke into their home and killed the two. But the Jolteon went missing after they gave up chase to the perpetrator. She was last seen according to a Crobat with an Absol named Majnun. He led us to a Lilligant who told us he was with the same Jolteon going to this forest." The Purple Wurmple explained.

"Would you like our help?" Hasira wondered.

The Wurmple seemed to ponder this over, putting a thorny paw to her chin.

"Well, as long as you keep your distance I suppose it's fine. But I wouldn't get involved. He's actually killed a few police officers from what I'm told. He even killed an Urshifo, and I don't know how one could even beat that sort of power."

Pulse had never heard of Urshifo, but he assumed it was some sort of powerful Pokémon.

Pulse and Hasira nodded.

Pulse only wanted to come because he wanted to keep an eye on Hasira. He wanted to make sure she wouldn't mess things up.

"Okay then. Now that that's cleared, come with us." The shiny informed monotone as they walked down.

Pulse and Hasira followed the group of Wurmple around.

It was quite a statement because they were so tiny.

Miyuki tried picking up the backpack, but failed to even pull it up on top of her and it fell back to the ground.

"Let Hasira carry that for us. We've got a long way to go still, and if these Pokemon are willing to help out, then let them help out." A dark brown Wurmple told Miyuki.

Miyuki nodded her head and let go, following the other wurmple at the end of the line they had going.

Hasira squealed, her face turning into a huge smile as she picked up the pack, easily throwing it on her back.

Pulse rolled his eyes.

He still couldn't believe it.

He thought he would never see hair nor hide of Majnun again, but yet here they were helping some odd Wurmple catch him.

And for what, killing a few Pokémon and being a creep overall? Who fucks their own sister? That's not even a really good crime. That's just something some thirsty idiot would do.

Pulse followed the Wurmple in mostly silence as they searched the forest for any signs of Majnun, the Wurmple requesting that Pulse used his sense of smell to help in finding the strange Absol.

At one point, the Wurmple stopped near a hole with a door.

"Wait right here," the brown Wurmple ordered them, and knocked on the door.

Nothing could be heard as the brown Wurmple continued to pound on the door.

"No one' s home." The brown Wurmple remarked, turning back to the purple wurmple leader.

Pulse then noticed some tracks with claws marks that dug into the ground.

He bent down and sniffed, finding the trail went to the right.

"Hey, I found tracks." Pulse informed, pointing with a paw to the tracks on the ground.

They tread in grass, but the marks were still clear they were Majnun's.

There was an excited smell to them.

Disgusting. Pulse thought as the Purple Wurmple came over and nodded.

"Yep." She told them. "That's his."

"Let's follow them."

Something stopped Pulse from following the Wurmple.

He turned back to the house.

It was tempting.

He wanted to know what was inside.

Hasira by that point had also followed, leaving him behind.

They probably don't need me. They have tracks. I can search the house. There must be something inside. He convinced himself as he twisted the doorknob.

The door squeaked open.

He found himself in the dark of the house.

He used ember, and lit the place on fire enough for him to see.

He made sure he took out the flames as he made his way through the house.

Nothing was out of the ordinary here.

Well, he would think that, if there wasn't a hidden door when he touched a candle.

He wanted to light the place up, but it ended up being a puzzle to a different room.

He padded into the room, wondering what this residence had to hide.

Why was there always some weird Pokémon living in the forest? And why did they have some strange secrets?

He wanted to find out, but he smacked into glass, lifting his eyes to find two eggs.

That's odd. He thought.
