"So are we sure none of you have any complaints about the rental car this time?" Ted asks as he drives the car into the bar's parking lot.
"Yes." I roll my eyes. "I know you're referring to me, Ted. I just didn't want to sit in Randy's lap again."
"What's the big issue with that anyway? Don't you sit in his lap all the time? I swear most of the time we're all backstage at work, you're in his lap. I'm sure you're in his lap when you guys are at the hotels. Hell, I'm willing to bet you sit in his lap when you guys are home in Saint Louis because we all know damn well you spend most of your time at home at Randy's house instead of your apartment."
"Those situations are completely different than sitting in his lap while we're in the car."
"How's it any different?"
"I chose to do it in all those other situations. I didn't choose to do it then, and it was uncomfortable." I comment as we start to exit the car.
"It wasn't very long, and he's your boyfriend. No big deal."
"Actually, we didn't start dating until after we got to the bar that night, so I wasn't her boyfriend at the time. You made her sit on the lap of a man she wasn't in a relationship with, and I was uncomfortable for that car ride too." Randy responds.
"Don't act like it was some situation where you two were total strangers. Hell, we all know you two had slept together numerous times well before dating, so I'm certain that wasn't her first time in your lap, Randy."
John laughs as he's the last one to exit the car. "He got you guys there, but a valid argument against it, it's dangerous since Marissa couldn't use a seatbelt and probably illegal."
"Whatever, John. Shit, I forgot to get the car keys." Ted goes back to the car and grabs the keys.
"How do you forget the car keys?" John laughs.
"I don't know. Maybe it was because certain people were making a big issue out of one instance of lap sitting and had me distracted."
"Oh, Teddy Bear." Maryse muttered.
The rest of us share a look as we'd never heard Maryse call Ted that before.
"Teddy Bear?" Randy asks as he's trying not to laugh. "That's adorable."
"It's his nickname. Mine is Ryses Cup." Maryse answers.
"Okay, yours is actually really clever. How did Ted come up with that?"
Maryse shrugs as we head inside the bar. We sit down at a table.
"Let's all bond and share stories. How often do we hang out as a group outside of work?" Michelle comments.
"What kind of stories?" Cody asks.
"I don't know. Uh, let's go with stories about us when we've been drunk. It works since we're at the bar."
The rest of us agree, and we order a few trays of shots.
"To be honest, I don't think I have any of those." Eve tells the rest of us as she takes a shot. "I haven't gone out drinking a whole lot."
"That's okay, Eve." Randy responds. "Because the rest of us have stories you can make fun of us for."
"Maybe we'll get you drunk tonight, so you can have your story tonight." Maryse jokes.
Ted takes a shot. "I have one. Back when I was still in FCW, a lot of us went out together. I got stupid drunk. I don't remember most of that night or how I got back to my place, but according to Sheamus, I apparently tried to strip my clothes off at the bar."
Cody shakes his head. "You dumbass. Uh, let me see here. I'm thinking. Not really a story where I'm drunk, but the most I bonded with Marissa before we all started hanging out was one night pretty soon after my Raw debut, we were both at the bar and just ended up talking and splitting a tray of shots."
I laugh. "I remember that. I don't know if I've got much, but I'll just say all those times Randy and I slept together before dating."
"I know of one time before you guys were dating that didn't involve alcohol." John comments.
"You do?"
"Two words, Marissa, nineteenth birthday. I suffered from hearing you two that night."
"Well, you didn't have to come with Randy to Saint Louis. We were at his apartment."
John rolls his eyes. "Also another two words for you and a drunk story, bar fight. Randy was also a witness, and I think Cody might've been there."
Cody nods. "I was."
I cross my arms. "You could at least mention that I was winning the bar fight. Let's move on. Someone else talk."
Maryse laughs. "Okay, let's move on from Marissa and her bar fight that she won. I have been to Playboy parties drunk, enough said at that."
The entire group nods and laughs
Randy sits in silence before leaning over to whisper in my ear. "I could say I have a kid that was conceived after I got drunk at a party. I feel like it's a casual way to tell everyone, except you and John since you two know, but we both know I've been debating a way to tell our friends about this for a while. What do you think?"
I smile as I turn and whisper to him. "Whatever works for you. I know you've wanted to for a while."
Randy kisses my cheek. "Thanks for your opinion, Rissa."
"You're welcome."
"Okay...I will go next." Randy speaks to the entire group. "It's clearly no secret I've had a lot of sex while drunk over the years. We already even covered that a little when Marissa was talking, but we all know I did it way more than she did. One of those times, when I was at a party back home in Saint Louis a couple years ago, ended up giving me a kid and making me a dad."
Michelle spits out her water in shock. "A kid? Who's the mother?"
"Chelle," I say gently. "Remember mine and Randy's friend from back in Saint Louis, Samantha? You've met her before."
"Randy had a kid with her? And you knew before you guys were dating?"
"Yeah...I've known pretty much since she found out about it. I was even present when Randy was told. Plus, despite all of mine and Randy's previous issues, I was asked to be the godmother."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Randy didn't want me to. Before you freak out about it, because I can tell you're offended you didn't know despite being close friends, Randy was just being overprotective of his daughter. I wasn't going to disrespect that."
"Wait a second." Ted speaks up. "You're telling us that Randy has a daughter?"
"Yes." John answers.
"You knew too?" Michelle asks in confusion.
"Yes, Randy told me pretty early on. Then, he did end up asking me to be the godfather, granted I'm almost certain Marissa would have ended up with her before I did if it was needed."
"Fine…guess I wasn't in the loop." Michelle huffed. "I got up on a table at a bar when I was out with John, Randy, and Marissa, and I drunkenly danced horribly. It took everyone over ten minutes to get me down. I think everyone has talked now."
Randy looks at the tray of shots on the table. "I thought we had more left than this. Didn't we all take only three?"
"I did not drink three. I drank five. I snuck a couple." Cody says, slurring.
"Someone's drunk." Randy mutters before looking at me. "Hey, sweetheart, let's play a game."
"What kind of game?" I question.
"A game where we see how long it takes to get you making out with me."
"I'll end that game." I look at him and press my lips onto his.
Randy grabs me and pulls my body closer to him as he kisses my lips. I'm surprised that no one has said anything yet about PDA as our friends still love to give us shit about that.
I turn my head to see what the others are doing. I see Eve and Cody walking outside, Ryse and Ted hanging out by the stage, and Chelle and John making out by the bathrooms.
Randy's lips press against my neck. "We could call a taxi and head back to our hotel if you grab my phone off the table for me. That is if you want, beautiful."
I handed him his phone without argument.
Randy smiles. "I think you're tired."
"No...I'm not." I tell Randy before yawning.
"Yes, you are, Rissa. Let's get back to the hotel."
I lay against Randy as he calls for a taxi. After Randy is done, he carries me outside to wait outside for the taxi.
I sit down in the taxi after it pulls up to the bar. Randy follows and sits next to me. I am so tired right now. Maybe I shouldn't have agreed to go to the bar when I got tired so easily.
I cuddle into Randy. "Maybe we should have sex before going to bed tonight. I'm kinda in the mood."
Randy chuckles. "Only if you want to, but you know I'm not gonna say no to you."
I give him a genuine smile without saying another word. Randy plays with my hair until the taxi pulls up at the hotel. We quickly exit the taxi, ready to get our privacy in the hotel room.
As we walk into the hotel, I see Kelly in the lobby, talking to John Laurinaitis.
I tap Randy's shoulder and point to Kelly and John. Randy looks at me curiously, as we both know something's up. Things get even more interesting when Kane, Miz, and Jack Swagger, in a druid's robe with the hood not up, walk over to the other two. How did I not see it before? Not many men are the size of Jack Swagger. Jack Swagger is one of the druids.
Randy and I watch them without exchanging a word and luckily we're both plenty sober to be able recall all this clearly later in. They're having a heated discussion about something when Laurinaitis looks and points at us. The others in the group look at us. I feel Randy pull me close to him as Laurinaitis walks over to us.
"Well, well, well…" Laurinaitis narrows his eyes at me. "Look who it is. The bitch who got me fired."
I give Laurinaitis a smug look. "You gave me the reason to get you fired. What you did to John was straight up psychotic?"
"You know that is bullshit, little girl."
"Little girl?"
"Yes, you little girl."
"I am many things, Laurinaitis, but I am not a little girl."
"You can be a little asskisser then."
I look at Randy before turning back and slapping Laurinaitis.
Kelly walks over. "Who do you think you are?" John is not…"
I cut her off with another slap. "I have you guys figured out. Laurinaitis was the mastermind of this. I almost thought there was some sort of conspiracy going on here because you guys are too weird of a group to just be after us for championships, so thank you for giving me all the confirmation I need."
Swagger lunges at me. Randy stands in front of me in a quick protective motion. The other three men look at each other and then at Randy. They look like they are going to try to beat Randy up until Paul and my brother, Shane, stand next to Randy. There is an intense staredown for a few minutes between the two groups of men.
"Sunday…" Kane mumbles before his group walks away.
"Thanks, guys." I look over at Paul and Shane as I'm still behind Randy and have my hand on his shoulder. "I know none of us like Laurinaitis, so if you guys have any ideas to tell the old man about this, I'm all ears."
"I can handle it. I'll talk to him. Make sure you two get some rest. Goodnight." Shane heads to the elevator.
"Give me a call if they give you any more issues." Paul sternly tells me and Randy before following Shane to the elevator.
"Are you okay?" I quietly ask Randy as he hasn't moved and I'm still behind him.
"I will be, but I was ready to fight them all to protect you, no matter if we are in a hotel or not." Randy mutters. "We need to tell the others in the morning. You were right."
"Agreed, can we head to the hotel room now?"
Randy nods. "Yeah, but are you okay?"
"Bad news, I'm so pissed. Good news, I'm fully awake and think I need some really good sex to put myself in a better mood."
Randy laughs. "Honestly, it could help my mood too. Even if it wouldn't though, you know I'd be more than happy to oblige you anyway. Let's go to our room, so we can go do that."
