Maryse finished my hair. "You look perfect!"
I smile. "Thanks, but it's not me who is getting married tonight."
Michelle's mom, Mary, smiles at me. "All five of you ladies look perfect."
Michelle smiles and blushes. "Thanks, Mom."
"Well, it's true. It's your wedding day. Don't act all humble. I'm going to go out there and make sure your brother isn't causing any trouble. Good luck, sweetie."
"Bye, Mom."
As Mary exits the room, Michelle lets out a sigh. "I'm so nervous right now…"
"Don't be." Layla tells Michelle. "You'll be fine."
"Listen to our British friend." Eve adds. "It's your wedding day. Everything is going to go great, Michelle. The wedding and reception will go perfectly, and then, you can go on your honeymoon and have lots of sex with John."
Michelle laughs. "Why do you have to put that so bluntly, Eve?"
I shake my head. "Michelle, you can't say a word. You do that shit to me when I'm with Randy all the time."
"Well, that's because you and Randy can't even hide the fact that you're having sex or even that you're about to."
"Who said we were trying to hide it? As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to hide."
"Sometimes I wonder how we became best friends because you and I have such different personalities."
I laugh. "I think it was a mutual love of wrestling."
"Fair enough. I'm so glad you guys are here with me for today. I couldn't ask for better people to be here with."
Layla grins. "Chelle, I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say that we're all honored to be here with you today."
"Layla is right." Maryse adds. "Wrestling brought us all together to be best friends, but it doesn't have to be all we do together. We can be there for all of each other's big life moments."
I pull Michelle close. "None of us would rather be anywhere else today. We're here for your wedding, and I'm sure we're all going to be together for the rest of our weddings too. Let's get your veil on. You got a wedding starting soon."
I watch on as Maryse and Ted walk down the aisle behind Layla and Michelle's brother, Lee. Randy grips my hand. I look up at him and smile.
Randy looks down at me as Eve and Cody start to walk down the aisle. "This could be us one day."
"I can see it easily." I tell Randy. "It may just be a while before we're going down the aisle."
Ready gives me a kiss on the forehead before we walk down the aisle. We stop by Eve and Cody.
John's five year old niece walks down the aisle and drops flowers while she walks towards us. Then, Michelle walks up the aisle with her dad, Gary.
"We are gathered here today, on this happy and joyous occasion, to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." The preacher says to everyone. "Marriage is a solemn institution to be held in honor by all, it is the cornerstone of the family and of the community. It requires of those who undertake it a complete and unreserved giving of one's self. It is not to be entered into lightly, as marriage is a sincere and mutual commitment to love one another. This commitment symbolizes the intimate sharing of two lives and still enhances the individuality of each of you. John Felix Anthony Cena, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." John answers.
"Michelle Leigh McCool, do you take this man to be your wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." Michelle answers.
"Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Michelle and John kiss. I smile at the newly married couple. After they're done kissing, we all applaud for them and go get ready for the reception.
Randy's POV
Maryse, Ted, Rissa, and I sit at a table while everyone else is up dancing or whatever else. Marissa smirks at Maryse, who had caught the bouquet when Michelle threw it.
"So when's the wedding for you guys?" Marissa asked jokingly.
"We aren't even engaged." Maryse rolls her eyes.
"But you caught the bouquet, so you could be next."
"I don't know. We probably aren't going to get married anytime soon."
"I was just kidding...geez."
I gave Ted a knowing look as Maryse and Marissa talked. I knew he was thinking about marriage a lot lately. I grab my phone and discreetly send Ted a text.
Randy: So…?
Ted: Not sure yet.
Me: Or do you not have the balls to ask?
Ted: I just don't think it's the right time yet.
Me: I bet by this time next year we will be waiting for you two to get back from your honeymoon.
Ted: Maybe, what about you and Rissa though?
Me: We have talked about it some and decided to wait for a few years.
Ted: Or do you not have the balls?
Me: Screw you.
Ted: You would. Love you Randy lol.
I roll my eyes and put my phone in my pocket. Ted followed suit.
Maryse grabs Ted's arm. "Let's dance."
"Okay."
After Ted and Maryse go to dance, Rissa turns to look at me. "Why were you and Ted texting?"
I swear this woman notices everything. Of course she noticed Ted and I were texting.
"I'll tell you later when we're in private." I told her. "Maybe, I'll tell you."
"Randy…" Marissa whines, irritated I was keeping something from her.
"Rissa, I'll tell you later."
"You better."
"I will. Let's do something else." I brushed her hair back and pulled her close.
We share a short kiss.
"I love you." I whisper.
"Love you too." Marissa mutters. "Even when you're a pain in the ass."
"Don't you always say I'm a pain in the ass?"
"You usually are one."
"I think you're over exaggerating. How about we go for a dance too?" I extend a hand to Rissa.
"I'd love that." Marissa takes my hand.
Sunday: November 8, 2009 10:19 AM (Marissa's POV)
"Do you have everything we need for the surprise party?" I ask quietly.
"Yeah." Maryse whispers back.
"How's everything with the boys?" Eve asks.
"Everything is good with them as far as I know." I tell Eve.
"Where did they take Ted anyways?" Maryse questions us.
"Oh you know, they took Ted to a strip club." I jokingly answered.
"Really, Rissa, where did they actually take him while we're doing this?"
"They just took Ted to train."
"Oh, I hope they're back soon."
Just then, Cody walks in with presents and looks at us. "They're coming. I brought the presents."
Maryse lights the candles on the cake, and Randy and Ted walk in. Ted looks at the presents, the cake, and us.
Ted smiles. "Thanks, guys. This really means a lot."
We all sing happy birthday to Ted and eat the cake together. After that, Ted opens his presents.
We had decided to get gifts that were more like jokes for Ted, so Eve and Cody got Ted an action figure of himself. Randy and I got him a copy of SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 for his Xbox 360. Maryse got lingerie for herself to wear for Ted.
Randy chuckles. "If she's like Marissa, she'll make you wait to see her in it."
I go to playfully smack Randy, but he grabs my wrist to stop him. I try to smack him with my other hand, but he grabs that wrist too. Then, Randy pulls me close and kisses me, but he keeps a hold on my wrists. I glance to see why no one has said anything about mine and Randy's PDA. The other two couples were making out too.
"But we're the only ones who ever get shit for PDA." I mutter.
Randy also glances at the other two couples. "Yeah, what the hell? They're just as bad. They haven't even noticed us looking at them."
"What I see is a bunch of hypocrites. Anyway, after this little get-together is over, I think you and I are due to spend some time in the bed in our hotel room."
"You don't have to tell me twice." Randy smirks.
