The Legacy You Leave
Chapter 3
authors note : I love these kids. This version of Brucas. Which child takes after Lucas and who takes after Brooke?
"How much longer do I have to do this?" Oscar questioned as he got into the passenger seat of his mom's dark purple minivan.
"This is about consequences. You decided not to take school seriously and failed more then one class."
"While you're siblings are enjoying their summer. You will making up the credits you lost. Doing whatever is required. If this isn't taken seriously and put towards with real effort."
"You will be sent to live with you're grandparents. You're father and I are in complete agreement on this and you need to understand school is important. It prepares you for the real world."
"The both of you are ruining my summer." Oscar complained.
"Hopefully when the new school year starts you will do what is expected and required of you instead of making it a last priority." Brooke proclaimed.
As she pulled out of the driveway and drove towards the local high school.
...
The Scott Home
"Daddy come play with us." Winston insisted. He had blond hair and blue. Just like his father.
"We'll play later Win. I need to pay close attention to the both of you. Have fun. And be careful playing with you're sister."
"She's younger then you." Lucas advised.
"I know i will." Winston replied. Wearing raven colored swim trunks.
As he went back into the pool.
Stella was running back and forth through the nearby sprinkler.
She was a smaller verison of Brooke. All dark hair and hazel eyes. Her mom's personality already beginning to form in the toddler.
"Momma!" Winston replied. Getting out of the pool again. Shaking himself off. As he attempted to dry himself off before hugging her.
"How are you Winnie." Brooke asked. Hugging him tightly.
"We're having fun. Momma I don't have to go back to school for three whole months." Winston stated matter of fact.
Brooke smiled up at him.
"I know. Summer is all the free time you want to have so much fun." Brooke replied.
"You've been in that pool since this morning. Time for a break. Cool down. Relax. We'll have lunch in a few hours." Brooke proclaimed.
"Okay. I do miss playing with blocks." Winston replied.
"You go inside and do that." Brooke replied. Ruffling his hair as he went back into the home.
"Come over here Stella. Time to go inside. Nap time." Lucas proclaimed.
"No nap. I play." Stella insisted.
"You need rest my girl." Lucas said. Scooping her up into his arms.
"No sleep!" Stella exclaimed. As she started to cry and throw a tantrum.
Brooke went inside and lingered in the upstairs hallway.
Wanting to go in but knowing Lucas could handle this on his own.
"Stella is fast asleep with her purple monkey nearby."
"She's stubborn. Like another Scott woman i know." Lucas said.
Brooke leaned over kissing him.
Lucas pulled her close to him.
"I missed you this morning." Lucas said. Once they pulled apart.
"He's going to have to go to this summer school for a majority of time. It's important we stay firm on this."
"He thinks because he lives a life of luxury that we provide that he can just blow off anything because we'll be there and I don't like that." Brooke explained.
"We'll switch off. You do some mornings and so will I. You deserve to sleep in too and be with the younger kids in the morning."
"I understand you're concern. I think Ted and Victoria's influence is starting to show."
