Chapter 4

authors note : Backstory. Brucas have been together since they were 16. They are 31 now. Brooke was the wild free spirit. Lucas was the basketball bookworm. Who was a clean teen. They grew up together along with their love for each other.

You put me on and said I was your favorite.

I knew you. You drew stars around my scars.

"What is for lunch today?" Lucas asked.

"Pasta salad. Baked chicken. I do love you're cooking." Brooke replied.

"I have it ready. I just need to heat it up. Stel will be asleep for awhile so lunch wil be low key and we can set food some pasta to the side for her." Lucas said.

"You take such amazing care of us. I just love you so much." Brooke proclaimed.

"I love you more. This family is all I ever wanted. Especially with you." Lucas replied.

Taking her into his arms. As he kissed her.

Brooke kissed him back. Feelling him lay her against the wall.

Moans escaped her lips. Feeling him kiss and bite her neck.

"Luke." Brooke said. Staring up at him. Feeling hot and feeling flushed.

He touched her gently. "I know. We should head downstairs." Lucas replied.

When the couple made it downstairs. Holding hands they were surprised to find the table already set.

Brooke looked to Winston. "You are wonderful. Thank you honey." She said hugging him.

"You get first pick at dessert. You make us proud Win." Lucas said.

"I just wanted to help." Winston replied.

And with that the Brooke and Winston sat down around the table.

Lucas heated the food in the oven then brought it over.

The three soon started to eat and drink.

Once things were cleaned or thrown away sometime later.

The baby monitor erupted. "Ma Ma!" Stella cried.

"I'll be upstairs." Brooke said.

"How about we go read a book son. Any book you want."

"What do you think.?" Lucas asked.

"I'll pick one. I can read by myself dad. I'll read to you." Winston replied.

Brooke quietly entered Stella's room. It was very girly pink purple bright warm. Stella was standing up.

Tears falling from her eyes.

"Momma's here." Brooke said. Scooping her up. And cradling the young girl until she calmed.

"We have to get you some pasta. I'm sure you're hungry." Brooke said.

"No." Stella replied. As she buried her face.

"What's wrong sweet girl?" Brooke asked.

Brooke felt Stella's forehead and realized right away that she was hot. She looked closely at the young girl. And saw her color was off. She was pale looking.

"Luke. I need you in here." Brooke proclaimed. Into the baby monitor trying to remain calm.

Just as Oscar was being dropped off from summer school and entering through the front door.
