The Legacy You Leave

Chapter 6

authors note : Ted and Victoria never liked Lucas why do people think Brucas getting married and having more kids would change that?

Nobody gets me like you

Only like myself when I'm with you.

Days Later

"Morning Sweet Pea." Brooke said. As she entered.

Stella's bedroom.

"Ma Ma." Stella said softly.

The young girl had been sleeping alot during these days and not eating much.

Brooke was happy to her daughter awake and alert today.

She got her out of the crib and on to her lap.

In a bowl. Brooke had mixed yogurt. Fruit. Granola.

And started to feed her. She was relieved that she ate and wasn't pushing her hand away.

"That's momma's girl. Now i have to give you're medicine" Brooke explained.

Brooke breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Stella drink it without issue.

But only minutes later. Stella started to bring it back up.

Brooke quickly took her to the bathroom.

When her stomach was empty. She curled herself against her mom.

Wimpering. Tears falling from her hazel eyes.

Brooke rocked her until she fell asleep.

Then getting out her cellphone. Telling Rachel she needed her to cover at the store until further notice.

Brooke sighed deeply. Watching Stella sleep in the nearby rocking chair.

...

"Why did you call you're grandmother victoria?" Lucas asked.

As he drove Oscar to the high school to start his summer school session.

"Because she listens to me. All you and mom talk about is rules and consequences. I would go to grandma Karen but she wouldnt get it and neither would you."

"Both of you weren't cool in high school and i would talk to mom but she would only take you're side." Oscar replied.

"This isn't about sides. You're mom and I are always here for you."

"Whether we understand it or not."

"We love you and want you to get something out of this experience." Lucas explained.

"It feels like the both of you are trying to punish me because i get to live the high school experience you couldn't." Oscar proclaimed. Before getting his things and leavin the car. Entering through the entrance doors.

...

Brooke marveled at her childhood dollhouse. Being able to play with this would hopefully help Stella get better.

"What did the two of you and Lucas end up discussing last time the both of you were here?" Brooke questioned.

"Do you ever regret throwing away you're life and potencial?" Victoria questioned.

"I love my life. The family me and Lucas created. Can we move on from this already." Brooke insisted.

"You were supposed to be more. Have a husband to provide for you. Like you're father does for me." Victoria explained.

"Lucas takes care of me. And our kids. I won't have my husband undermined or disrespected." Brooke replied.

"You brought back this house. He's a glorified roommate Cookie." Ted replied.

"I love him. I'm in love with you.!"

"Why has that never been enough for either of you!" Brooke exclaimed.

"He got you pregnant. Married you. Ruined the life you were destined for and we're supposed to just act like it never happened?" Ted questioned.

"I chose him." Brooke replied.

"He had no life before you Brooke. He needed you. You never needed him." Victoria proclaimed.

Lucas quietly made his way into the living room.
