The Legacy You Leave

Chapter 7

"How's our girl doing?" Lucas asked. Looking to Brooke.

"I called her doctor. She'll be fully recovered in another day or two." Brooke replied.

"In case the two of you haven't put it together by now."

"The grandchildren you adore wouldn't be here if I hadn't met and fallen in love with Lucas."

"I really wanted to believe that the both of you could and would change but you refuse to evolve past the life you wanted for me instead of being apart of the life we built."

"And I'm done trying to include the both of you."

"I don't want our kids exposed to how you really feel about their father. The love of my life."

"I want you to leave this house and not come back."

"All comunication going forward will be about business nothing more." Brooke proclaimed.

"You heard my wife you aren't welcome here."

"For 15 years I kept this to myself wanting to preserve the relationship between the both of you and Brooke. But the effort has only ever been on my side. The contact betwee you and our children is cut off." Lucas added in.

Victoria left rage filled and fuming. Ted going after her.

Brooke locked the front door after them.

She looked to him. His arms soon wrapping around her.

"You should of told me a long time ago about how they've been acting towards you. I needed to know that." Brooke said.

"They are you're parents i wasn't going to get in the way of that."

"I know how badly you wanted a relationship with them. It wasn't my place to interupt that." Lucas explained.

Brooke cupped his face in her hands. And kissed him.

"You're my family. You're my whole life." Brooke stated matter of fact.

Lucas kissed her back. "I love you so much. More and more everyday." He insisted.

"I love you so much." Brooke replied.

Their eyes locked on each other.

"Winston is at a playdate. Oscar will be at summer school for a couple more hours. And Stel is sleeping for hours on end."

"When she's up for good i'm going to feed her again and give her another dose of that medication."

"I just want to be with you." Lucas said.

"Well you are my favorite husband." Brooke teased.

"You have me. Will you promise me something?" Brooke asked.

"Anything." Lucas said.

"You'll me love forever no matter. That you won't leave me." Brooke said.

"I'll love you forever and beyond. You are the other half. The better part of who i am." Lucas replied.

As he shut their bedroom door. And walked over to the bed.

To find Brooke sprawled out with very little on.

Smiling that dimpled grin of hers.
