Aleatha

I arrived in Beacon Hills after two of the scouts for the Emerald Enclave never reported back or returned. The first scout was missing and out of the other two we sent only the second one came back to us wounded. Normally I wouldn't handle situations like this because I was on the council. However something about the mere mention of Beacon Hills sent chills down my spine so I decided to go in place of the person we would normally send. I was driving up to the police station went I felt panicky. It was like it was located in my chest, but it wasn't my panic. I saw a flash of a dashboard of a jeep and a sign with the name Beacon Hill high school. I quickly drove past the station and followed the feeling to the school. I parked across the street and just as I parked my car I saw a police cruiser pull into the high school parking lot. I climbed out of my car and headed for the school parking lot when I saw a flash of movement from the corner of my eye.

I saw a blue jeep and ran to it. I peaked in through the driver side window and saw a boy hiding. Another wave of panic washed over me. I placed my hands on his jeep and cloaked it and myself. The police officer looked in our direction and then looked away. I narrowed my eyes watching as the police officer vanished from my sight. Now was my chance to get the boys attention. I knocked on the window of the jeep and he screamed. I could see the terror in his hazel eyes. I did a quick once over and saw blood on his shoulder and wanted to kill whoever had hurt him. I put a finger up to my lips. He looked surprised and then I noticed movement. I saw the police officer heading back towards their cruiser. He radioed the station, then got in his car and left. I sighed in relief when he was gone and released the cloaking spell. I stood up and the boy inside the jeep rolled his window down.

"Who are you?" I could hear the skepticism, pain, and fear in his voice.

I had no doubt in my mind that he was wounded, "I'm here because the supernatural occurrences in this town have caused the death of two of my coworkers and has left another mortally wounded. My name is Aleatha. Will you open the door and allow me to examine your wound."

He looked even more terrified.

I put my hands up and stepped away, "I'm not here to hurt you, little one. I can take a pretty good guess at what you went through tonight. You were defending yourself against someone who meant to kill you."

I quit speaking as I felt a wave of fear crash over me.

I took a deep breath and continued knowing the fear was his, "I am not in cahoots with whoever tried to kill you. I am a supernatural police force if you will. I'm also a healer and I swear not to hurt you. Will you please open the door so I can attend to your wound?"

I could see his hazel eyes darting all around. I could tell he had a good sense of when he was in danger and the next moment he must've realized I wasn't lying because he opened the door. As he stepped out of his jeep I put my hands down. He closed the door and I stepped forward. I took his face in my hands and I could see surprise in those hazel eyes. I hated seeing the fear in his eyes. I pulled him into a hug. I was careful with his shoulder as I started using my healing powers.

"You're safe now." That must've been enough for him because the next thing I knew was he was sobbing into my shoulder.

"Shhh. You're safe now, little one." I could feel the wound on his shoulder was severe.

The supernatural meant to kill him. So whatever happened or whatever he did tonight wasn't his fault. He was defending himself. I could sense that his wound was almost healed when his phone started ringing. He pulled away wiping his eyes. I watched him grab his phone and then he frowned. He looked up at me confused.

"I wasn't going to leave you with that wound so I healed you with my powers," he looked surprised, "I wasn't going to allow you to walk around with an injury like that. Besides if I had to hazard a guess you wouldn't have gone to the hospital or treated the wound."

"What the hell are you?" I smiled at him.

"I'm an elf, Stiles Stilinski," his friendly demeanor changed, "how the hell do you know my name?"

I saw him reaching for something and I put my hands up again.

"Easy, little one. I only know who you are because of the research I did before I came here. I wasn't going to come here without doing my research first especially if I plan on helping you defeat the Dread Doctors, Stiles." That caught his attention and he quit reaching for the tool on the hood of his jeep.

"Is that really why you're here? You're really here to help and not because of Scott who is a True Alpha?" I tilted my head studying him.

I knew the look his eyes held. The way he held himself and the way his face looked. Doubt. Skepticism. I shook my head.

"No. I am not here because of an interest in Alpha McCall. I'm here to help deal with the Dread Doctors, but that's not my main concern right now. Right now I am more worried about you," he looked surprised, "why me?"

That question told me everything I needed to know about what this boy had been through. He wasn't listened to, nor was he treated the way he should be.

"You were just targeted by a supernatural creature who tried to kill you. Clearly you won. So take me to the place you won the fight against the supernatural creature the Dread Doctors created, Stiles. Take me to the library." He looked scared.
