Stiles

I led Aleatha back into the school and to the library. I froze when we arrived because the it was all gone. The scaffolding was back in place and Donovan's body was gone. Where did it go?

"Stiles," I didn't understand how Donovan's body was gone, "come on, Kiddo. I need you to breathe for me. Breathe, Stiles."

I felt her hands on my face and I looked at her. Her brows were furrowed and her green eyes showed concern for me. I felt my throat close at how much she seemed to care.

"There was a body, I swear." My voice sounded hoarse.

She smiled at me, "I believe you, Stiles. I know you only fought back in self-defense. If you hadn't fought back he would've killed you, and that doesn't make you a killer because you fought back."

How did she know what I was thinking?

"How do you know that's what happened?" She moved closer to me.

"The events in this room have left an energy in the room. All I had to do was use a bit of magic to see what happened, Stiles." Magic?

"There is no such thing as magic," she looked down and then back up at me, "says the human who was able to create more Mountain Ash from nothing more than his imagination and belief. A chimera is science, but magic is still at play because supernatural creatures were used to create them. How do you think we supernatural creatures came to be? Someone used magic to create supernatural creatures. You witness it every time a wolf's eyes glow. There may be born werewolves, but it didn't start that way. They were created."

She smiled and then glanced around the room. She walked over to the place where Donovan's body should've been. Suddenly she was floating in the air surrounded by a green glow. She floated high enough to touch the bars that I thought once pierced Donovan's body. She floated back down and landed in front of me. She showed me her hand and I saw a red substance on her fingers.

"Is that blood?" She smiled at me.

"I think you know the answer to that, Stiles." I looked around the room.

"So where is his body then? What have I done? I killed someone and if anyone finds his body then I'm done for. No one will believe me. I-I won't have a future." Suddenly we were no longer in the school.

We were no longer in the school, but in the backseat of my jeep. Aleatha was holding me in her arm's.

"The body was there Stiles, but you're not a murderer. It was self-defense, Stiles. Even if the body turns up, you are safe now Stiles. It doesn't matter what happens you will have a future, little one. Everything will be okay. I promise." I looked down and realized that I was sitting in her lap.

I felt a one arm around my waist and she was running her fingers through my hair with her other hand. Her cheek was resting against mine as my head was resting against her shoulder. I started to feel calm again and I pulled away. I looked up at Aleatha was looking at me. Her green eyes were filled with concern.

"Why do you believe me and defend me even though I murdered someone." She suddenly looked angry.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Stiles. Let's get you home, okay?" I looked down and shook my head.

I don't want to go home.

"Stiles?" I looked into her eyes.

"I don't want to go home. I can't. I can't go home because I don't want to be alone." I looked down at my hands.

I can't go home because I'm a killer and I will be alone.

Aleatha

I knew exactly what was going through his mind. I could see it in his face. I couldn't explain it, but I felt protective of Stiles. He was a human who had survived the possession of a Dark Kitsune which was almost unheard of. I pulled him into a tight hug. I knew right now nothing I said would change his mind. I pulled away and cradled his face in my hands making him look at me.

"I have to take you home, Stiles. It's late and your dad is probably worried about you." Stiles shook his head.

"He's gone most nights and besides all I do is cause trouble for him anyway." I saw something else in his eyes.

A pain that he has probably been living with for most of his life. I kissed his forehead.

"Then why don't I take you to the station? You need your dad, Stiles." He gripped my shirt.

"No. Just take me home please? Just don't leave me alone, please?" I felt a pain in my chest at the thought of leaving him by himself when he was clearly scared.

"I'm not going anywhere Stiles, I promise. Let's get you home, sweetie. Just stay in the back and buckle up. I'll drive you to your house." I climbed into the driver seat of his jeep.

"My jeep isn't going to run. I was having issues with it and it's held together by tape," I smiled at him, "let me worry about that, Stiles. I just want to get you home. Just rest while I drive, okay?"

I summoned a blanket and laid it over him.
