Stiles
I woke up the next morning in my room. I felt a hand in my hair and legs underneath my head. I shifted and looked up to find Aleatha leaning up against the wall asleep. I couldn't believe she had actually stayed. There was a knock and then the door opened. Aleatha's eyes shot open and she looked towards the door her body tense. Then I felt her body relax underneath me.
"Good morning, Noah." I sat up abruptly.
"Dad! I can explain! This isn't what it looks like!" I felt Aleatha take my hand.
I looked at Aleatha to find her smiling at me. She didn't look worried about my Dad being in my room. I looked back to my dad finally noticing the food and three cups of coffee in his hands. I turned back to Aleatha.
"You told him," she cringed, "I trusted you! GET OUT! GET OUT OF MY ROOM! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"
She stood up off of my bed and nodded.
"Stiles," she shook her head at my dad, "it's okay, Noah. I have to go get my car anyway and check in for work today. You two have a lot to talk about. I'll get out of your hair, just don't forget what we talked about Noah."
She walked to the doorway of my room and looked back at me. I could see that she wanted to say something, but she just smiled at me. She left my room closing the door behind her. I heard my dad set the bag of food and the carrier of coffee down. I turned to him.
"What did she tell you?" My dad sat in my desk chair.
"Who tried to hurt you, Stiles?" I shook my head.
I couldn't tell him. I sat down on my bed and let my head rest in my hands.
"Stiles," my dad was kneeling in front of me, "I know you, and I know you wouldn't kill anyone except if you were forced to defend yourself. Aleatha told me how she found you and how much you blamed yourself. She also told me I'd lose you if I didn't listen to what happened. So tell me, Stiles."
My dad was doing the exact opposite of what I thought he would do. I looked at my bedroom door.
Is she the reason?
"Stiles," I looked down at my dad, "it was Donovan, Dad. The Dread Doctors turned him into a chimera. He came after me last night while I was trying to fix my jeep. He was trying to kill me and he said after he killed me he would kill you next. He chased me into the school library and I climbed up the rack they had holding the scaffolding. I pulled the pin because he was right behind me. The bars pierced his body and I was so scared. He almost killed me and by the time the police got there to check it out the Dread Doctors had already removed his body. There was no sign anything ever happened. I was so scared Dad."
My dad stood up and hugged me tight, "you are my son, Stiles. If it wasn't for Aleatha you would've never told me what happened. I'm your dad and it's my job to protect you. It's also my job to know my son well enough that you wouldn't hurt someone on purpose. That's not who you are Stiles. You've always been one to stick up for others. You protect those who can't protect themselves."
I looked towards my bedroom door feeling bad about telling Aleatha to get out. I pulled away from my dad, looking at the breakfast on my desk. I told Aleatha to leave because she had talked to my dad, but now I felt bad. If it wasn't for her I he wouldn't have listened. I walked over to my door.
"Can you bring breakfast to the living room? I'm going to have Aleatha stay for breakfast." I booked it down the hallway hoping she was still here.
